Got married at the courthouse yesterday and the woman in the office outside the chapel during check in was HORRIBLE. She was just nasty from the start, her attitude was awful. I’ve never met someone so rude to a complete stranger before they could even get a word out. She said we filled our paperwork out wrong and when i showed her the copy that i submitted she REFUSED to even look at it. It was a small typo, that i genuinely think was on her side (not a bid deal either way!), and it was fixed in less than 10 seconds after she pressed a couple buttons and reprinted the document. I am still in shock from this interaction that probably lasted less than 2 minutes total. i mean this woman should not have come into work that day. You would have thought i had punched her in the face upon walking up to her desk by the way she spoke to us. I genuinely think she was being rude for sport. I’m still in shock that she was able to fit the huge eye rolls, teeth sucking, and condescending tone all into such a short interaction with someone she’d never met. Absolutely insane…. Ps this was NOT our officiant. Our officiant was lovely <3

Here for jury duty. Kind of an all day thing, so was able to look around a little. The 4th level, where the potential jurors wait, is an open space with a glass ceiling and a little viewing garden area. The potential juror waiting room is here, a wide open room with row after row of chairs. There is a little 20 minute video that just replays, so advise that you bring something to read, your phone or even a laptop. It’s good but less good after the 5th time. There are a number of charging stations and a little business center; however, there are many more potential jurors waiting around as well. i’d bring a battery pack. There is a little cafeteria downstairs on C level that has some decent coffee, desserts, and some handhelds/quiches. It has a Starbuck’s feel without the comfy couches - many more charging areas/wall outlets here. No photography in the building and no phone calls in the waiting room. Security is much like the airport with the exception of mandatory shoe removal.

This court system is certainly not JUST. I was detained overnight without any explanation or legal paperwork to support why I was being jailed. After being transferred from one jail location to another IN A VAN like an animal and sleeping (barely) on a metal bed with cockroaches overnight - I have lost respect for this Court system. To date, there is no record of my being detained!

The cornerstone is scapled in roman numerals with a mallet and chisel.architects:draw plans and or make models and superintend construction or demolition. Permits have to be issued which require blueprints, which are drafted from an architectural model, the only reason you try to shut me up is because i practice the field of architecture and was forced to sue the District government

The clerks were extremely rude on the telephone. They would not look up whether or not our file has been processed and mailed despite the fact that it has been 2 months since it was completed and submitted. The person I spoke with on the phone kept yelling if no one has called it has not been processed.

D.C. Superior Court is a cesspool. The judges there are mostly of the caliber you'd find at a county probate court in a very small state. Some are so lazy as to be beneath contempt. The difference between these minor leaguers and their counterparts at the Federal District level is really striking.

They'll call you in for jury duty, make you sit here for NINE HOURS, and there's *LITERALLY NOT A SINGLE WORKING WATER FOUNTAIN IN THE BUILDING*. They shut *ALL* of them off "bc COVID" (it's 2022). Water is a basic human right and necessity. This is absolutely ridiculous, and most likely illegal.
