I am another extremely satisfied customer of Moutain Auto Tech! I was very anxious about my potential very costly repair for an old Lexus LX which its AHC (auto hight control) is not functioning. I went through several suspension specialists who stated all leveling sensors need to be replaced which are very expensive. I desperately came to Mountain auto tech to see Chris. Chris precisely diagnosed the problem and found out only one senor needs to be fixed. Additionally, Chris got an OME part from his resource with less than half price compared to the dealer’s quote and made AHC working again! I am so grateful that Chris and his team repaired my LX with a high quality work and very affordable cost!

Chris is awesome, I know next to nothing about cars, but he was patient and kindly let me know what was going on. Great sense of humour, and priced me SO fairly. I brought my car in for a safety certificate and found out my brakes were worn down and tyres weren't up to standard. He quickly fixed my brakes and changed my tires (and patched up a hole) for me for such a great price. Car trouble is frustrating, but I was incredibly grateful for such fast and personable service. My family and I come back from this shop with great experiences every time. I'll definitely return any time I need something and recommend it to anyone! Chris also looks a bit like Walter White, which is awesome.

Chris has the best shop in Hamilton; possibly even Southern Ontario. Literally did my AC for a 1/4 of the cost the dealership quoted me, and it works beautifully. Sent my pal to him who was using a shop nearby; got more work done for $200 less. He showed Chris the origianl quote too, so he could've simply matched it, but that's not how he rolls. I drive in from Etobicoke. It's worth every additional minute spent on the highway. Do yourself a favour next time your car needs a service, take it to Chris and his team at Mountain Auto Tech. You might have to sit through a political discourse or two, but your car, and your wallet, are going to thank you.

Had the trailer hitched and was on the way up north for a week of r n r on Friday,Labour day long week end. Hardly pulled out and we heard a loud banging noise coming from the driver's side like someone was banging with a hammer. At 2:30 I called up Mountain Auto Tech. If I would come over right away they would look at it. Found out it was a drivetrain issue, alxe was popping out. They said I should take it to dealers as it probably is covered under warranty. The mechanic took a picture and showed me I could pop it in by hand if i got stuck. This prompt friendly service was definitely appreciated and just thought I'd throw that out there ...

Chris is a car doctor. He is an intelligent guy and diagnose problems which others can't identify. He tries repairing stuff and not replace. He is genuine. My Toyota Sienna car had a quite difficult problem (it was not starting in between, not a battery issue) which many other couldn't rectify. The 1st time I showed him, he was not sure if it was sorted out. So he didn't take any fees. The second time around, he fixed it at quite reasonable cost. I introduced my friend and his Volkswagen car also, other repair shops told better not repair & he repaired it. I highly recommend him for any car issues normal garages can't fix.

These guys saved me over $7000. BUDD'S BMW Hamilton misdiagnosed my vehicle twice. I was already in the hole $1500 and they wanted me to pay an extra $7000...they were just going to throw parts at the vehicle till something sticks. A friend's neighbor recommended I get a second opinion from Chris' shop. Without wasting time, he knew exactly what to test for and what part to replace. My car was back on the road within 48 hours. Cost me $1400. I'm happy I listened and went to Mountain Auto tech. This level of competence is hard to come by.

Honest, hard working, and kind owner and employees. I just moved into the area and was worried about finding a mechanic. Thanks to the positive reviews posted on google, I went to see these guys. I could see why their rating is so high and the reviews so positive. They took my car in right away. They respected social distancing. They didnt even try to upsell me. They told me what I needed done to my car, advised me, and gave me prices in advance so there were no surprises. They went above and beyond. Thanks for everything guys.

I was very VERY upset with the service at this auto shop. The one owner was very nice and gave us a great price. But then when we went back for the actual appointment and encountered the other owner he was extremely rude to us and actually threatened my boyfriend and then he went on to completely disrespect my father which is an elderly gentleman. I was and still am completely shocked at the lack of customer service at this shop. I would rather pay $200 MORE and get good service and be treated like a human being.

Chris got my business because he took a lot of time to explain what was wrong with my car during the diagnostic - that he did not charge me for. He cared that I understood regardless of if I serviced my car with him. He then did an excellent job at repairing my 2009 Pontiac Vibe. I drive a Pontiac because I do not want to put a lot of money into a car. He understood to make the car safe to drive on a small budget and gave me back a car that drives like new. He is a guy you can trust.

Top notch auto repair. I know cars and I do a lot of work on my own vehicles but when I don't have the equipment I only trust Mountain Auto Tech for service. After dealing with franchise shops that try to pad the bill by attempting to charge for unnecessary service, it's comforting to have a repair shop I can trust.Chris is like a breath of fresh air in the auto repair industry. It's rare to find a shop like this that actually does "Repairs" instead of simply replacing parts.

I can’t give enough praise for Chris at Mountain Auto Tech. As a medical professional, I know very little about cars. I told Chris that I felt taken advantage of by other mechanics. He actually took the time to show me how much the parts and labour for a previous repair should have cost. It confirmed that I was way overcharged by my previous mechanic. When my car ultimately died, Chris handled the sale for parts for me. He always goes above and beyond!

Long story short, in the fall I did not tighten the clamps before and after the mass airflow sensor. The code for misfire cylinder 1 meant to me a coil pack and intake gasket. Mountain Auto Tech fixed the problem cleared the codes and would not take a penny! These guys are what you should look for! Honest mechanics with NO bull!

Went there to have my vehicle checked for a noise. Chris was very welcoming and friendly. He got the issue fixed and didn’t charge me a dime since he said it was a minor issue. Wow, this is pure honesty and great customer service. I got my go to mechanic now.

Asked for a simple quote on a transmission flush and fill. was grilled as to why I wanted it. Then was acussed of putting oil in the transmission. Buddy, when someone asks you for a price on regular maintenance, just give them the price. Will never return.
