Having come across Mr. D’s quiet often in my several visits to Pike Place, never actually tried their menu. While I was headed to my favourite bagel place for breakfast, again on a Saturday morning, I took a detour as I decided to try Mr. D’s this time. Scouting through their vegetarian options, I asked (probably Mrs. D) on what’s the triangle shaped pastry. Moment she said it’s got Spinach & Feta (a classic & my favourite combo) I was sold & ordered the freshly made Greek Spanakopita. The slightly more oily pastry had a very generous filling of cooked spinach with oozy feta. Even though the Feta had its distinct flavour, slightly more strong here @ Mr. D’s, I loved it. A great breakfast option, albeit a healthy one that Popoye would agree. Don’t miss it if you are here, am coming back for their other pita options, soon.

Super vegetarian friendly with many options to choose from! I went with the falafel gyro and it was delicious, our one year old loved the falafel too! My husband got a traditional gyro, and we shared some of the gyro fries (II pulled the meat off of the ones I ate, but, they do have the fries without meat!) delicious! The spanikopita was very dry and seemed like it had been reheated a few times. Everything else was EXCELLENT so we didn't mind this. Seating is very limited, only 4 tables outside, so during lunchtimme, someone will be hovering near you waiting for you to finish your food and get up.

I have been on a Greek streak for a while. I live in Florida and wanted to try a couple places in Washington. I was not disappointed. The gyros are absolutely delicious, the flavor was on point! The Tzatziki had a wonderful cucumber and spice taste! The damoles rice was cooked all the way through, the lemon sauce was cooked to perfection. Then add the already great tzatziki and I couldn't get enough. I also tried the hummus and that was not good. I would not recommend getting that. All in all for a quick bite it is an excellent place to stop!

Mr. D’s serves one of my favorite Gyros in Seattle. The lamb is my fav by put the chicken is a great choice as well. The pita dough is warm and soft and the Tzatziki is creamy and flavorful. They’re served cone-shaped in a paper wrap, a bit like a handheld salad that you eat from the top. It can get a bit messy so sitting is advised as you get toward the end. I’m not a fan of their fries and don’t really come here for their other options. The Gyros are the stars and a worthy meal at the market.

I got the "Greek Style" gyro. It was really tasty! The gyro had good flavor and the combination of everything works great. I loved that it had the French fries inside the gyro which is how they do it in Europe. It's so much better that way! Great way to grab a quick flavorful meal. I wish it came with lettuce in it and I wish the chicken was shaved off like the gyro meat. But recommend for sure!

The food wasn’t bad but my goodness, I will never go here again. The woman who runs the cashier (bigger, in her late forties) made a mean comment when she saw me select “No Tip.” Keep in mind, they ask you to tip before they’ve even started MAKING your food. My sister tipped them, and then they wouldn’t refund or remake her sandwich after they made it with onions, even through she asked for no onions when paying. The tipping culture at this joint is out of control and entitlement is unreal.

Nothing really wrong with the food. However staff can at times be extremely rude. My wife ordered a chicken gyro without tomatoes (she is allergic to them), and they were on the gyro anyway. He must've not realized she could speak Spanish because he even said that "no one is allergic to tomatos." I simply can not support a business that hires people with this much lack of respect for the public and would not recommend going here to anyone. The careless and callous staff will eventually kill someone.

Delicious food. Great prices. Lamb gyro and fries for about $15 (before tip). Helpful and engaging service as well. Plus, you can order your food and then walk through the market to eat at the waterfront overlooking the sound.

Along the cobblestone of the famous Pike Place Market, lies an old world style eaterie with tables fence-marked on the other side of the side walk. Having come highly recommended by locals, I was not disappointed. I ordered a Greek style chicken gyro and dolmades. The sauce was perfectly balanced, the meat cooked just right and an overall wonderful taste. Highly recommend it! God bless you and yours!

Visited on 07/07/22 Great: the food was pretty fast, considering how busy they were. The gyro was good and simple. I had the traditional lamb. Good: the seasoned fries were a mix of soggy and crispy. They could use more flavor. We also ordered the Greek-style lamb gyro (they ran out of chicken). It was ok and nothing special. Bad: nothing bad.

It's basically a family tradition every time we go to Seattle we have to go here they have the best gyros ever. The wife and I literally salivate as we drive towards Seattle. The staff is extremely friendly and greeting and my god I ordered a small fry I swear to God I don't know what the small means to them but they gave me a large. Go here you won't regret it.

After reading many of the good reviews I wonder if we were talking about the same place or if the good reviews are planted. I have had gyros from many different places and most of them are pretty good. This place, not so much. I don't know if it was opposite day or what but I pretty much got a salad wrapped in a pita with a little bit of lamb meat in it. At $9 it's a complete rip-off. I would not eat here again

  • Nakayla B.

Staff was super friendly, service was very quick & the food was delicious. I had a half order of the Yeero Greek Fries & that was enough to make me full. I remember eating & taking forkfuls only to keep getting more meat & fries beneath so I can’t imagine what the full size would be. With my food, another food item for someone else & 2 drinks, the order total was $29.95. Would definitely eat there again.

As someone who has gone to Greece, almost every year of her life, and eaten a lot of gyro. I feel like I have a good understanding of what a good one is. this one certainly wasn’t. It was overpriced and not particularly great. The meat was very chewy and it was very bland. It was a shame because I was looking forward to it.

The food is amazing!! The Taziki sauce is some of the best I've ever had. I would eat here every day if I could. The size of the half portion of fries was a pleasant surprise. You won't leave here hungry.

Despite having a plethora of food choices at Pikes, we still often opt for the simple and delicious gyros at Mr. D's. What can I say? The gyros here never fail to impress. The meet is flavorful and delicious, the pita is warm and soft and fresh, the veggies are crisp, and the sauce the whole thing is smothered in is just icing on the cake (or gyro). It's fast, it's cheap, it's oh so good.

  • Kaitlin Keresty

Mr D deserves 6 stars for his delicious Greek foods! I had a falafel wrap and I was speechless while eating which doesn't happen often. It was so tasty! The tzaziki was tangy and they added just the right amount!

I was at Pikes Place and wanted a snack, so I got their Greek Fries and Spanakopita. Both were really good! The spanakopita was big and tasty, and the fries (and the dip) were great! The food was prepared fast, and there was a place reserved to sit and eat. It also wasn’t that expensive!

Hopped off the plane at Seattle Sea-Tec and RACED to Pike Place to get our hands on Mr. D's Greek delicacies! The traditional gyro is unlike anything I have ever had elsewhere! The French fries alone are very well seasoned and so tasty and warm they just melt in your mouth!

I had the chicken gyro wrap and it was amazing! It's a nice little place that faces out towards the main street so you've got a lot to watch and see while you're waiting for the food. It's a great portion for the price. I don't live in Seattle and honestly this would be one of the only reasons I would go back! (Besides Pike Market itself of course)

  • Zaineb

Really good chicken wraps. I tried the Greek style wraps with fries inside them. Chicken was done to perfection. Soft juicy and not oily at all. Very distinct Greek flavors. The tzatziki sauce was fresh and just the right amount. Huge serving. And the best part is that it’s halal. I didn’t see a sign but the person at the counter confirmed it.

They weren’t friendly at all. Bad treatment, pushing me to order and I found rude the fact of asking for a tip when I haven’t even start eating,

Get the lamb yeero. Just do it. The lamb is flavorful paired with the garlicky tsaziki sauce! The pita is a bit dry but with the lamb and yogurt sauce, it help up perfectly and did not get soggy. My nephew got the steak yeero and he really enjoyed it. I had a bite but prefer the lamb every day and twice on Sundays.

I hate driving to Seattle and all of the traffic around Pikes Market but these gyros are so amazing. They are my favorite, we love the lamb ones. They are always fresh and the cans are ice cold which is great on a really hot day. The guys who work here are so nice and personable too

  • Rachel Keen

Quick stop to Pike Place Market on our way home ended with the amazing aroma coming from Mr D's and we had to stop. My husband said the lamb gyro was the best he has ever had and the spanikopita with a side of tzatziki sauce was amazing. Wish we lived closer or they would ship!

  • Emily Greenberg

Make sure to stop here if you're in Pike Place. The line is worth it--Their baklava is DIVINE. I think I finally found the best in town. My favorite is their pistachio, however all are SO good. Their gyro meat is also well-seasoned, and I could eat their food again and again.

  • Andrea Durand

Was excited to find this place because I love greek cuisine. Ordered the gyro fries, everything was good until I noticed it wasn’t feta cheese being used like they said. Instead it was mozzarella. Either way it tasted good. But its not authentic! They are fooling people
