I have been going to muggins for quite a few years. Got to say love going there for breakfast they are quick they always hot and awesome. Today I went because my mom likes their liver and onion. I was not disappointed with service because the staff up front are phenomenal. I was disappointed in their lack of communication, incompetent staff in the kitchen, and inability to actually serve hot good food. My mom got her liver it was cooked good, The mashed potatoes were freezing cold, and the veggies were freezing cold. Clearly there's no communication from one end of line to the other to make sure all food goes out hot. My clubhouse sandwich sat under the heat lamp for at least 15 minutes because the top piece of bread was completely dried out. The mashed potatoes were cold in the middle. Just because you're busy there is no excuse for this this shows the inability of the line to communicate with each other, and organize things efficiently. So if you're going for anything besides breakfast I would question. I will be doing that from now on.

It's your typical "family" type restaurant. They have a large menu with a great variety of items. My husband had the ginger beef. He said that the sauce was exceptional, but the beef itself was chewy. My sister in law had the beef dip and found the sandwich a bit dry, but enjoyed the rest of the meal. I had the Greek chicken. The chicken was DELICIOUS, really tender and came with feta on it. I liked that the Greek salad didn't have olives, but I found the dressing had a bit of a mayo taste which I'm not used to in a Greek salad. The dish came with rice but it was just a plain white rice, no flavour to it at all. My sister in law ordered the broken spoke cider, which was quite nice, and the price on it was amazing. I believe the owner or manager noticed us and bought us a Ginger broken spoke cider to try as well, which was really kind of him. We enjoyed it as much as the original, even I enjoyed it, and I'm not generally a fan of ginger. Overall it was a really nice experience and I would definitely go back again if we're in the area.

Our family always love going to a family style restaurant, so we searched and found this place. Went for breakfast and the place is bright and welcoming. It was a little busy but expected for the morning. Regardless, we were greeted by friendly staff and remained consistent throughout. Breakfast was great...ordered the house breakfast and rise and shine. I always can tell breakfast is great by the way they cook their home fries (if they can put care in prep to that then everything will follow suit), pancakes - divine! Highly recommended and definitely kid friendly (staff makes the kids feel special by their interactions). Definitely stopping in again when we get to visit Edmonton again. Thank you!

Had the half serving of beef dip with the potato chowder - the “half” serving of the sandwich was about the size of a slider (a little over 2 inches square) and the beef didn’t seem to be seasoned at all, even with salt & pepper. The beef was tender enough, but it really just tasted of boiled (not even roasted) beef and the au jus lacked any sort of flavour as well. The service was okay, nothing special nor memorable. The ambiance of the place is quite generic 90’s. It was our third visit there and I was really hoping to find out why people rate them as high as they do, because each time we’ve gone there, the food is exceedingly mediocre and not really worth what they charge. There are far better places to eat in the same area for the same money. I wouldn’t recommend staying away, I’d just recommend going elsewhere.

Sept 21 my friend and I ordered a taco salad each. It consisted of a plate of wilted lettuce from a bag ,a few coloured taco chips crunched up , a small slice of avocado , and a side of salsa. And a few pieces of chicken. It was soggy and disgusting, I regret paying that bill of $21 each as we are not complainers My husband and I have been patrons over 30 years but this is ridiculous. Maybe a new inexperienced cook , bad management, but since Bonnie passed away and Brenda left , that place is definitely going downhill, They had to have known we were served garbage, Franco’s is just across the way. And that’s where we will be next Thursday.

Decided to pick this place for Brunch after a fun Ball Hockey season. Love that it was local! First player who arrived looked into the dinning room and it was too busy to accommodate our group so we got a table on the lounge side. Water was brought out to our group immediately as we all looked over the menu. Loved the options and we got a good giggle about the Man-Mosas. Decided on the Taco Omelette with Multigrain bread. Coffee was good and another customer served me a top up! She wanted some more herself and started serving others, was quite funny. Our table was all served their meal at the same time and it was served hot. Food was great and our group had a great time. Would gladly go back as the staff was very nice, accommodating and the food was delicious.

Horrible service today. Our waitress first left us for over twenty minutes before taking our order. Then forgot to Put in my friends to go order. We had to hunt someone down to pay our bill after waiting over 45 minutes after receiving our bill. At that point we where not going to ask for her to go order. There was only one other table in the restaurant. Our waitress we kept seeing going from the the patio and the bar. The most she spoke to either of us when the debit transaction was going through. I was very tempted not to tip I did tip but not nearly what I would have. I'm usually a very good tipper. I've been there several times. The food is always good. The sevice is either very good or very bad.

The staff was very courteous and accommodating. My Dad ordered breakfast, which included toast. He said that he didn't want any toast because it affects his diabetes so the server asked if he'd like some fruit instead. The thoughtfulness is what will keep me coming back and my parents will want to visit there again when they are in town next time The food was very nicely presented and tasted as good as it looks also.

We stopped by for an afternoon beverage and a bite on their patio. We checked inside if there was a hostess for seating and didn't see anyone, so we sat at a table on the patio. We sat there for about 10min waiting while someone from another table helped themselves to a menu from a nearby cart. They seemed to be at about 60% capacity, so I can only imagine they may have been understaffed for a lovely Friday afternoon. It was about 1:30pm when we stopped by. We didn't get a chance to try the food or drink, but the service was easy to review at the time.

I love muggnz. I went here twice last week. The first time I got the skillet with hash browns, scrambled eggs, cheese, mushroom, and tomato, with a side of bacon. The bacon here is the best I’ve ever had. Second trip I got the house breakfast and adored it as well. So much food and for such a good price. The potato skins were good too but a little more money then I’d consider reasonable. The place is loud, since it’s a sports bar, but I don’t mind that. It’s always clean, and I get pretty fast service, and everyone is friendly.

Neighbourhood Staple! Muggnz had two sides. On the right is a sports bar type deal, and on the left it's a family restaurant. They have some pretty nice booths with lots of room. The washrooms are nice and always clean. Staff are friendly, and always provide great service. I've never had to wait long for anything. I love their fries, and they do all day breakfast. I've ordered many things from the menu, and have liked them all. Oh, they also do local delivery in the evenings, which is great! Love this place and I'm happy they are there. 5/7 would eat here again.

I have no complaints. I love a classic breakfast and this is probably the best breakfast I've had in the city. I got the house breakfast. The quality of all the ingredients were great and for a reasonable price as well. I'd honestly pay more for a perfect breakfast like this. On top of that, my waitress was incredibly friendly and accomodating. 1000/10!

Don't come here if you want a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy a meal and conversation with friends and family! With eight huge TV screens in the main dining area you're constantly bombarded with flashing scenes of sports and sportscasters from all sides! Why can't you leave the dining area for people who want to relax and enjoy a meal and put the screens in the bar area where they belong? That aside, the food was mediocre, the service poor and the prices too high. Not likely to return!

Really nice restaurant, great food, but unfortunately I got food poisoning from them. I ordered the chicken sandwich. My husband has been there a few times and has been fine. I may be brave and try them once more; but if it happens again, I’ll change my score to no stars. I’d like to give them 3.5 stars, it was a nice restaurant, reasonable prices and the food was good, but it wasn’t fun being sick all the rest of the day and night.

Gone is our lovely neighbourhood restaurant, now it’s a super sports restaurant with a smaller sports bar attached to it. There are so many TV’s in the dining room now, 8?, that my small children wouldn’t even eat they were so distracted. In a society where we all walk around with screens in our pockets I wonder what necessitated this drastic and overstimulating change? Food was still good, but honestly probably won’t return due to televisions which saddens us.

We’ve been coming to muggenz every second Sunday for two years now and today we were quite disappointed….I found a white hair in my bacon and at the end of my spouses skillet there was a white hair stuck inside the cheese. We didn’t want to make a big deal to our server about the second hair we found after notifying her about the bacon, but after paying full price and us believing she didn’t take the situation seriously I do not believe we will be coming back.

The new worker doesn't care about a customer after he pays. New server name Michael. Yes I get it they wait for the tip and all... But I paid forward, but after I paid I could get my table to be cleaned nor dirty dishes to be removed so I had to place it on the next table beside me... Love this place but customer service is bad.

We have eaten here several times. The last 3 or 4 times the service had been horrible. They brought me the wrong order, after waiting with a 3 year old at the table, for close to 40 minutes. One thing, however, is the food is usually hot. The servers do not show respect to their elders, but then, that is something that most young people today are not taught. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes.

Had breakfast at MUGGNZ today. The Restaurant was Clean, the Bacon and Eggs with Pancakes was perfectly cooked like home made!!!!! The Coffee was Hot and delicious. I was served by a very nice man named Matt and a charming young lady named Brandy. They really wanted to make me feel welcome and they sure did. I thanked Robbie, the Manager for the pleasant experience I had at Muggnz. My Wife and I will be back......Soon!

This restaurant is usually great. My last visit was just terrible. No one greeted me, no one came out to restaurant area for at least 10 minutes. I was served by 3-4 diff people. First time here, food was VERY good. Woman who seated us was super friendly. I had the Whisky Jack Burger and my folks had the Champion. Very good burgers and fries. Gravy was good too. The tvs are situated so that no matter where you sit, you can watch TV. I only gave 4 stars because the waitress we had wasn't great. Never offered to refill our drinks, and wasn't overly nice. I will go back again though!

The service was great, atmosphere was nice, and it was very clean. Food quality was okay but not great. Personally, I think some of the menu items are a little overpriced. You can make any of these meals at home for the same price or less and it would probably taste better. There's nothing really *special* about this place. It’s just kinda there.

Not a bad place expect for the servers. Waitress got 2/4 of our orders wrong and then we kindly reminded her of what we ordered she argued with us and gave us a sharp tone. My wife and I haven't been here in many years. We happened to be in the neighbourhood and decided to have dinner here. We were not disappointed. Awesome nachos - but the Rickard's on tap is really watery. Tried it on 3 separate occasions, still has remarkably less flavour than bottled Rickard's. The nachos keep me coming back though.. LOL! NOT with beef - only good if nachos are with chicken...

Great neighborhood pub. I like the atmosphere. They have some good daily specials. The food is pub style. It gets pretty busy here.

I always enjoy Muggnz. Great breakfast all day. Awesome drinks to match. Man-mosas (beer and oj) and Caesars are 5$ on Saturdays.
