The art to find he is absolutely beautiful. The galleries here focus on Cuban art. They demonstrate their own particular styles while portraying the struggles of Cuba throughout their difficult history. That said the reason for the low score is due to the way we were treated by their staff. We were told when we purchased our tickets (8usd if you buy one that includes arte universal) that we could photograph anything we wanted. After that we were promptly yelled at by another woman who also made remarks. If your staff isn't trained well they can at least make sure they are providing correct information. After that I was also able to hear some make less than appropriate remarks.

Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy Cuban art, the ticket is very cheap around 2 dollars and the art collection is amazing. A great spot for taking a break from the warm and crowded Havana streets. Surprisingly you can take photos and shut down videos here, nevertheless, take the time to enjoy the art rather than getting lost taking pictures hahaha. The only thing that this place needs is a guide since the staff lack knowledge.

This is officially my favourite art museum in the whole world! The art was very impressive and beautiful, and of a very high standard - I was blown away throughout (got a little lost though!) Majority Cuban artists, mostly art from the 20th Century and a little before and after. I really liked the soviet building itself too, I didn’t see the other building with the stain glass roof as seen in other reviews.

Maravilloso. Si sos de las personas que disfrutan el arte, este museo te va a encantar. Tienen obras de todos los continentes: pinturas, estatuas, figuras, tallas... arte europeo, americano, africano y asiático. Alberga obras de grandes artistas como El Bosco, Velásquez, etc. El edificio es grande y está bien segmentado. Hay visitas guiadas o podés recorrerlo por tu cuenta. Visita infaltable en La Habana.

A well decorated and huge enough museum where you can see many paintings and sculptures from Cubans' artists. There are some paintings and sculptures from the rest of the world too. The entrance price is 5CUC per person. They do not allow you to have your backpack with you during the tour so you can leave it for free to a lady next to the entrance. It is closed on Mondays.

Es un museo importante que está en el centro, a unas cuadras del Capitolio y que presenta una gran cantidad de obras de arte. Hay pintura, escultura. Arte Cubano y de otras latitudes. También en cuestión de la temporabilidad se pueden encontrar obras clásicas y actuales.

Really beautiful place, nice architecture and pieces of art, also if you are looking for cheap souvenirs I definitely recomend the souvenir shop in the museum, we paid 160 cup (under 1€) for a really nice A3 poster with Fidel.

An incredible place to spend a day and the best museum in Havana. Tickets cost 120 pesos and there is so much to see. We were lucky enough to have a tour from Marco who gave great insight into the history of Cuban art. Would definitely recommend!

With so many different art forms and genres, spread over a number of floors and zones, be sure to set aside 3hrs or more when visiting. One could easily spend an entire day here! Take your smartphone in order to read the histories associated with the artists. Definitely a must visit location in Havana!

Me encantó la colección de este museo. Recomiendo sobre todo ver la sala dedicada a Joaquín Sorolla (3ra. Planta) Para paliar un poco el calor en el bar de abajo se sirven buenos cócteles.

I was amazed by the paintings and sculptures displayed here. This museum is enormous and it actually has 2 buildings. If you decide to go on a Sunday they will only sell you a ticket to go to the main museum, because they close at 2pm.

Acogedor museo donde sorprendentemente alberga algunas obras del pintor valenciano Joaquín Sorolla. El resto del museo destaca por pinturas flamencas del S XVIII y esculturas clásicas. De lo poco salvable de La Habana.

Creo que requiere que sea una visita guiada y que alguien te hable de los artistas y su obra. No me gustó

Me encanta la arquitectura, su personal es amable, la museografía me pareció buena. Los sanitarios muy limpios. En ciertos lugares no permiten tomar fotografías. Cuentan con guía turística.

a wonderful museum - a wonderful collection of paintings from the early Netherlands to the Spanish school of the 20th century .. I highly recommend visiting it

A marginal Goya but some great Valazquez. A sprinkling of other great Spanish works. Most other galleries were closed during our visit. Que lastima? Maybe.
