Recently, I came here on my birthday with my husband for a couples fusion massage. My husband received a great massage and even fell asleep from how relaxed he was! My massage was a different story. The massage therapist was nice, but there were a few things that made it difficult for me to relax. She had long nails that eventually touched the inside of my mouth after she touched my feet (very unhygienic for both of us and felt disgusting and uncomfortable for me). During the scalp massage, she was making this tiny circles with the tips of her nails in my scalp, and I could feel my hair knotting up so badly at my scalp (this also did not feel good and this technique made a loud scrunching sound in my ear). I said I was there to relax, not for flexibility, but she massaged my back then did a hard press down on the middle of my back, which cracked it. I’ve never had this experience at a massage, nor do I ever want to again. She then continued doing these leg/arm str etches, and popping my fingers (a very poppy, stretchy massage, not relaxing). The massage was overall okay, but I didn’t like some of these things that stressed me out throughout the 90 minutes. Also, I’m a small person (110 lbs), she acted like it was super difficult to lift my upper back up to massage underneath because she kept making all this noise with the massage table when trying to get underneath me. It was an experience, but not for me. I chose this place because of all the glowing google reviews.

Do not let the 5 star reviews fool you, I’m sure the only reason they have so many is because people are incentivized to leave a good review for a $25 future spa credit. My husband and I went for a couples massage, it was mediocre at best. My masseuse asked me at the beginning what areas I wanted worked on and I told her my shoulders, well it seemed like she actively avoided that area. The last 15 minutes of the massage I asked her to do my shoulders and she seemed annoyed and then proceeded to massage the side of my neck which was honestly painful and not necessary. She also put my arms in awkward positions when “massaging” them it was uncomfortable and have never had that experience. I wasn’t going to say anything but the receptionist noticed I was less than thrilled with the experience and asked me how it went and I was honest. She was nice and told me she would give me a discount for the bad experience. I didn’t ask for that but I was pleased with it. About half an hour later I received a text message from joy spa saying that they escalated the situation to management and that they were going to give me a 30 minute neck, back and shoulder massage. I checked my account and there was NO discount. I just feel like if you tell someone that you’re going to give them a discount, do it. All in all I wouldn’t recommend.

Amazing experience! Upon entrance the environment is bright, clean, and inviting. The hostess was very kind and attentive (on the phone as well when I called to schedule same day). Mimosa was delicious as the hostess was kind enough to ask me how I liked my mimosa's (more OJ and champagne), which is a small detail but something that made my experience more enjoyable. My masseuse was Lule and she was fantastic! She ensured she understood where my problem areas were which was evident by her work. She made sure the pressure of the massage was good and the my modesty was maintained throughout my experience. I felt brand new after I got off the table. Seriously satisfied with this experience. I will certainly return and tell all my friends. If you're looking for somewhere to get a massage My Spa Joy is 100% worth a try.

Please book here and look no where else! We were searching for a couples massage after our wedding as a little treat to ourselves and this was the only place that was available on thanksgiving! We decided go book it based on all the reviews and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. I’m from California and have had many massages but this was easily the best massage of my life. Sanchez worked on me and Alisha I believe on my husband. Sanchez created a fusion massage with Swedish, deep tissue, and some stretching for mines and I walked out of there feeling 10x better. Made another appointment to go back to her before my flight back to California lol. Oh and the price was great too compared to all these other places we were looking at. Great deal and great massage, definitely would recommend! :)

Charisma was absolutely wonderful. I felt welcomed, pampered, and so relaxed. I had a two- hour session as a summer gift to myself and Charisma did a wonderful job from start to finish. The sweet receptionist greeted me at the door with kindness and humor. I felt right at home. I am here on a getaway vacation BUT this place is so good, I am literally considering coming quarterly. Such attentiveness and respect from beginning to end from phone scheduling to walking out after the service. Clear communication throughout. Also, the building/home is historic and beautiful with stained glass and it is kept clean and lovely. Isometimes question too many “5 stars” but I see why they are highly rated. Keep it up Spa Joy because you all were worth the drive.

I booked the Signature Facial and my facialist, Helena, also added LED therapy to help with some breakouts. The facial was very soothing and relaxing, and I left with my skin feeling refreshed and super hydrated. My facialist reviewed my current skincare routine and asked what my skincare concerns are and recommended a couple products to add to my routine. She was very gentle throughout the entire process and gave me a heads up before performing the LED treatment and applying the ice rollers so that I wouldn't be surprised/alarmed. In addition, I feel like the price point of the facials are very fair compared to other spas in the loop. Excited to start incorporating facials into my skincare and relaxation routine.

I went to Ms. Sanchez for a TMJ massage. Twice now in the span of two weeks. Each time was amazing. The first massage she focused primarily on my jaw and for the first time in years, I felt my jaw relax and move to center. (Note: expect your jaw to be swollen for several davs depending on how severe your TMJ issue is and how much pressure she has to apply to get it to relax.) Two weeks later, my jaw was still pretty relaxed so most of the visit was spent on my neck. She stretched it out a lot and found so many sore spots I didn't even know I had. The receptionist, Miriam is also pretty nice and accommodating. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a TM & neck/scalp massage.

I received a gift certificate from a friend for my birthday and I am so happy that I found My Spa Joy! From the very moment of walking through the door Miriam greeted me warmly and made sure that I was comfortable as I waited for my massage appointment. I enjoyed a hibiscus tea as I waited in the sitting area. Even waiting was a pleasant relaxing experience! Tracy was my massage therapist and she was delightful and professional. Throughout the session she made sure to ask if I was comfortable and if everything was to my liking. I will definitely be back and make sure to spread the word to family and friends about this. Very relaxing and wonderful spa!

Let’s talk happy hour, I had an amazing time here. What a cute place. You can have a mimosa while you wait. The massage was amazing I walked out feeling like a new person. Miriam the receptionist was so lovely and kind and Morgan my massage therapist was fantastic . I truly needed to just zen out counterintuitive to how chatty I’m usually am- but I felt free to just “be”. The ambience and the staff of my spa joy makes this place wondrous to be. I will be coming back and bringing more people with me ! Fyi parking can be a bit difficult but Miriam was able to make this easier so just give them a call if you’re wondering where to park

Amazing experience all around from the moment you walk in. I scheduled a last min (3 hrs in advance) appt with Suzlynn. She is incredibly amazing at what she does. I had my usual facial in mind and she recommended another one based on my skin. I'm glad I listened. Loved the cleanliness of the place and their products are great. Receptionist was sweet and helpful. I don't go anywhere else. This should be a monthly routine for everyone but unfortunately we get so caught up with life that we neglect pampering ourselves sometimes. I know I do that a lot. PS. Be sure to read their online parking instructions.

This was my first time visiting this spa. I was instantly greeted with a hello and a smile. The receptionist confirmed my reservation and asked if I would like anything to drink. I love the fact they offer champagne as an option and requested a glass. The champagne was chilled and taste pretty decent. My masseuse(Tracy) greeted me before my appointment time. She was nice, polite, and professional. She asked my needs and was willing to accommodate. My massage was Amazing!! I also liked the ambiance of the room and how comfortable and cozy it was. I will definitely be back. Continue to have great service.

I was able to book a day ahead for a “spa retreat” consisting of a scrub & a two-hour massage. Booking via text was a breeze. The location is great & the business is well-appointed. I was offered water and champagne shortly after arrival as I waited for my services to begin. Ricardo did a superb job for my massage - very attentive & professional. Morgan did a nice job with my scrub & scalp massage. I was able to rinse off in the shower, just outside the treatment room. I had an amazing experience and will be back. I’ve found my “spa home” in Houston!

Me and my sister came for the Peppermint Bliss massage with the hot stones to celebrate my birthday. It was a lovely experience. The young lady who greeted us was so friendly! Both of our massage therapist were great. They asked us questions to tailor the massage to our needs. They made us feel comfortable and always checked to make sure we were okay with the amount of pressure applied throughout the experience. The combination of the cooling peppermint and the warmth from the hot stones really helped with my muscle soreness. We left feeling relaxed!

My husband and I went in for a couples massage. The staff was friendly and attentive. The massage went very well. Our only note is the fact that it was really hot in the massage room, which made the end of the massage not very pleasant. The thermostat read 77 degrees, which is pretty toasty and we were under the sheets/blankets, which made it really hot. We would still definitely return! I needed some pampering after the holidays and I couldn’t have picked a better place! This place is super cute, and they really make you feel special. Elena (my therapist) did a great job and she took her time doing my facial and explaining what she was going to do and why. I also truly appreciated the smell on the towels she used, I am pretty sensitive with this (I can always tell when they have not been washed properly, and this time I was amazed about how clean and fresh they were) Overall a great experience!

Came to Houston for relaxation. The hotel I stayed at had no openings. My Spa Joy is a superior find. Very clean, relaxing and accommodating. Tracy was my therapist and she was exceptional. The best 90 minute massage i have ever had. Often times therapist miss areas, don’t perform the same technique on both arms, sides of back, etc, pressure changes. Tracy was thorough and meticulous with each movement, including positioning the blankets, lifting towels off feet, everything! Thank you Tracy and My Spa Joy!

The staff are all pleasant, very helpful and polite, everyone is willing to help you at any moment, from The receptionist to the masseuse, my skin feels ridiculously soft after I received the full body scrub. My skin is glowing after my facial and I slept like a baby due to my body being relaxed after my massage. Lastly the building is so charming, it’s an old historic house, wooden floors tall ceilings and colored glass window in the staircase. I recommend this place if you are looking to decompress

This place is a darn cute. I absolutely love their setup. They were so kind and accommodating from setting up the appointment, to helping me with anything I needed while I was there. My masseuse, Maritza, was amazing. Kind, talented. Probably one of, if not, the best massage I’ve ever gotten. Very professional and attentive. Just the vibe of My Spa Joy is uplifting. I’m extremely happy with my experience at my spa joy. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and offered a mimosa or champagne. I had just enough time to enjoy my drink before my service started. Then I had the best massage I’ve had in a long time. I opted for the fusion 90 minute massage because my body has been really sore and I needed a lot of knots worked out to have some relief. The entire experience was enjoyable and I plan to go back! Highly recommend.

My husband and I just had a couples massage here for my birthday and it was a great experience! This was my second massage and my husband’s first time getting one. The house is so cute, comfortable and feels safe. I had Tamla and she did a fantastic job! We got Swedish massages and I felt that the amount of pressure was perfect! After my first session, I knew that a phenomenal review was in order. As an educator, I work on my computer about 8-14 hours a day. The level of pressure and tightness in my upper back and neck can often interfere with my day. Tamala did a wonderful job of targeting those areas with the Traveler's Massage (90 minutes). She was incredibly talented, professional, and in tune with what my body needed. Don't second guess this decision. Book your massage ASAP!

Just what I needed! My experience was so nice, from the receptionist to the masseuse (Lule). They were so friendly and even scheduled me over text since I wasn’t able to answer my phone at the time. The rooms are so calming and the bedding feels luxurious. Lule did an amazing job and listened to me when I requested a few speciality spots. The warm towels and oils were an added bonus. Left feeling so much better and can’t wait until I get to come back!

Found this place while scheduling a me, myself, and spa day. Their many facials is what caught my eye. I choose the Basic Hydration with Helena and it was great. It as not uncomfortable as she completed my service but actually relaxing compared to others who dig at your face. My skin was so dewy after this service! I was so excited to come back I wanted to book 2 more appointments. I will definitely be coming back to try their natural chemical peel.

I LOVE My Spa Joy! This was my third time here and I have always had a pleasant experience. Today I had a facial and Helena was amazing and really knowledgeable about my skin and the hormonal acne I have. My other two previous visits were massages and they were simply amazing! I honestly feel like I got a sports massage from a regular massage price. My fiancé and I just left here feeling amazing. Both of us felt like we got the perfect amount of pressure to slightly push our limits but at the same time feel extremely relaxing. These ladies seemed very professional. They were ten times better than massage heights and literally half the price. Won’t bother with massage heights ever again

I planned a special spa day for my daughter and myself. This was our first time doing a pamper day at a spa. We had the best time!! From the first phone call to getting facials and massages, we were treated so kindly and everyone was friendly, thoughtful and professional! We really were pampered and it was wonderful! My daughter and I were very happy for the experience and want to do it again in the future!

This cute little house holds such talented masseuses. Along with it’s so charming! I was greeted by Adalina for my prenatal massage today. She was fantastic. She recommended the Spa blend for my oil and that’s my new favorite! My 75min flew by as she left feeling extremely relaxed. Lightning was great, table warmer on and a cozy room. If you want a true spa treatment, you must book.

I LOVE this place! I’ve seen Lule twice already for my prenatal massage and she does a great job getting out all the knots and making sure I’m comfortable. Helena did my prenatal facial and she was so sweet and very personable. Made sure my skin looked flawless! Highly recommend this place. Bought my gf a nice spa(ghetti) day treatment for her bday. I was impressed but the important thing is that she was very happy and the results pf her stay were noticeable. She's been through quite a bit and it made me happy that these guys really brought her some much needed relaxation. I was thoroughly distracted by their "fandelier"... HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I absolutely adore the new location!!!! I got a peppermint hot oil neck & back massage as well as a foot massage (and it came with a complimentary exfoliating scrub), it was HEAVENLY. My masseuse hit all my pressure points and kneaded out all of my knots. It was exactly what I needed as my job is very strenuous on my body. This is my go to massage place for sure.

I've had massages at several different places and My Spa Joy is by far my favorite! The front desk clerk is super friendly and attentive and my massage therapist Tracy was outstanding! She checked in on the pressure and made me feel so relaxed throughout the whole massage. I was so impressed that I decided to book a couples massage with my husband later.

Walked out thinking “Why don’t I get massages more often?!” Great location, beautiful space, lovely staff, and an awesome service. Tamla took great care of me. She asked if I wanted the table heater on or off, checked in about pressure, and even inquired about some bruises I had on my legs to avoid causing any discomfort. Will be back and do recommend.

Brought my wife here for facials and massages for our anniversary. They were able to do one of us on the facial and the other on the massage in the same room, and then we swapped. The ladies were awesome! I would even say this place was better than the Trellis Spa at the Houstonian. The prices were great and we stayed at a cute B&B just down the road.

My husband gifted me a massage and hydra facial and both were great! They answered my questions since it was my first professional massage, and were all welcoming. The facial was great and the esthetician recommended some products, which I really appreciate it. Overall the vibe was calming and the ladies were very nice, I definitely want to go back!

I definitely had one of the best experience with the therapist Nike. This massage ranked quite high out of all my experiences. She was very attentive and paid special attention to my needs. The spa had a very welcoming ambiance. She was able to relieve a lot of tension spots with ease.I had an an incredible experience and will be back soon.

I enjoyed my massage so much! I did the neck, back, and face with peppermint aromatherapy. Prices are fair for the quality and the place is so cute! Each “ bedroom” in the house has a massage bed. Staff is sweet as well. My only complaint is the parking is limited, but it’s Houston, who’s surprised!? Definitely a hidden gem. Will be back!

Such a great experience! I had a Swedish massage from Morenike and a facial from Helena. Both had great communication on expectations of the service and asked if I was comfortable throughout the service. Refreshments were offered on arrival, between services, and at departure. Will definitely come back again!

Took my daughter and myself to the spa as her birthday gift. We both loved our massages, so relaxing. I went in with tension in my shoulders and neck and was totally relieved upon leaving. Upon entering the spa one is warmly greeted and the aroma is very pleasant. Would highly recommend!
