We came to Myer today to exchange the shoes as we bought the wrong size online. We lined up and waited to be served. And when this staff (her name is Marife) came to serve at the pay counter, she started to ask 2 ladies behind us, even though we lined up before those two. We said that we were waiting here to exchange this pair of shoes for a smaller size and she showed attitude and started to raise her voice towards us and walked away to get the shoe size we asked for. Then worse thing came when she got back with the shoe box and threw it onto the desk TO OUR FACE, which is super RUDE. We asked questions about the exchange process and she answered very blunt in a very unfriendly tone like we were not welcome there. This is not Myer customer service standards and very unprofessional. Hope this kind of customer service change to be better.
The Bed sheet/homeware section is really bad. I was there and the website said it was in stock. But I could not find it and it was difficult to find someone who would help. That by itself is bad customer service. I finally found an Indian looking lady who looked reluctant to help. She could not find it and then she said she will look at the back. I was left there for 20 minutes and she never came back and I had to go to the counter to find her and she was rude. As a silver member, I do spend a fair amount of money in Myer. After that experience, I am not willing to spend a single dime, not only your website is inaccurate with stock levels, but your staff is also difficult to find when we need assistance and never followed up on the issues. Adding insult to the injury your staff was rude.
Chinese lady working at Dior came up to me saying “ni hao”. I am born and raised in Australia and my first language is English. The whole time I was looking at the perfumes, I was speaking in English with my mum as well. Looks like the staff member needs English training and better customer service. She also showed me some of the Dior packs and said that they are not to be touched due to fingerprints. I’ve touched many designer perfumes and bags before, so I don’t see why a Dior perfume was not allowed to be touched. I have never heard of this rule before. Does that mean that if I were to purchase a Dior product I am not allowed to check for any flaws? This definitely deterred me from wanting to purchase anything from Dior today.
The customer service is absolutely horrible! I wanted to try on a pair of shoes and asked for size 38. The SA said ‘Never say 38. That is size 7.’ I wanted to buy a bow-tie and asked the cashier if it was 20% off because I saw the promotion information. The person said ‘I don’t know. They don’t belong to us.’ These happened within 10 minutes. How rude they are!!!!! Terrible shopping experience. And the environment is awful too. The light is dark and the walls and the furnitures are shabby. Will never shop at Myer anymore. Myer should definitely reorganize their business and train the staff properly.
Great place for your daily fashion products and clothes. Its consist of 6 level which is devided by different category of products. They provide very reputated service with variety of the products. They have all collection of makeup products, men, women and babies clothes and accessories, dining and living products with all international brand around the globe. The fancy and charming decoration give a very pleasant view to the customers. customers will able to get the their intire necessary things from one place.
Myer Sydney City is the one-stop shop for all your needs, from cosmetic products and beauty services to clothing, cookwares and homewares. The toy area for kids has beautiful and creative displays, guarantee to keep your little ones occupied for hours. Myer also has lifts accessible to the food court, and also very close to the train station. Myer City stands out for its product variety and availability. I find the staff here more approachable and friendly than other famous department stores.
I recently went in to check out the Bobbi Brown Foundation stick and requested for the Sand colour and asked for it to be tested on my face. The male sales associate told me that the shade Sand was too dark for me and recommended me to buy a lighter shade. I did and after using it - I got told by my family and colleagues that I looked extremely pale and the colour was off. Went back to try and get a refund but was unable too as I had discarded my receipt. Never buying from here again.
I’m so so so happy with one of the staff here. most of them are very polite and friendly but one of the best and sweeet lady was Shaili who helped me always to choose the best perfumes. I visited there so many times and i always looked for her. The ones she recommended were always loved by my husband as well as me. She is so sweet with all customers not only me. The staffs in this myer are best. I’m looking forward to visit soon. Here are some awesome ones
Chose a Dutch oven, gave me 2 litre size too small, becoz the size ordered was much larger and heavier, decided to get it delivered, Aus post delivered to the nearest Post office and I then had to drive there to pick it up! When I went to return the small DO to Myer castle hill, as I went thru the store doors, it beeped at the entrance, the fact that something was being returned and the security came to check, on a return! Have completely lost the plot!!
My partner and I were in Myer on two occasions over Friday and Saturday - Myra served us both times and she was just great - very helpful, great customer service and very happy to be there. Introduced us to lots of great fragrances and we each went home with a new favourite. It made such a difference in our experience, Myra is definitely an asset to the cosmetic department there and would recommend her to anyone looking in that area.
Good mall. Traditional departmental store platform, it’s still a crowd favourite for tourists, with David Jones being its main rival. MYER was started by Sidney Myer, who migrated from Russia to Melbourne in 1899 after the height of Victoria's gold rush. Australia's largest department store by revenue and store count, MYER grew substantially with the merger with COLES and Grace Brothers. Recommended for shipping and visit....
A great range across all departments all in one place. This definitely saves walking around different stores to compare products. There are frequently great value sales on, and the membership often provides free $10 vouchers. The service is not always the best, particularly given many of the staff you see are just aligned to one brand so can't help you beyond that. However I find mostly self service works best anyway...
The lady who works around the men section, near the suits was quite rude. Me and my partner were dressed in sweatpants for comfort to shop and the lady asked us if we needed help, we denied as we were just browsing. She then gave us a dirty look and a low comment on how we couldn’t afford this anyway. Not professional at all and quite disappointed as I do get better customer service at other myers

It is shame that the gift registry system is so outdated and there are no scanners available anywhere. We have travelled to 3 different Myer stores and all have said there are no scanners available. If this is the case, we should be able to select items online. I feel sorry for the store staff who have to then manually enter each barcode. It is just an unpleasant experience for customers.
I had a good experience here at the polo Ralph Lauren part (men’s). I was looking for a particular item and the guy went to a lot of effort to try to find it for me. Although he couldn’t find it in the end, I appreciate that he approached and asked if I needed any help, even though I was “not dressed very well”. Based on the service I received, I would definitely recommend these guys!
Good old shopping complex downtown. We went shopping go on the Boxing Day. So lots of discounts and we needed kitchen stuff so there were so many choices on the fifth floor for us. Nice to have a little cafe where you can have a rest upstairs. There was a returning because of package misleading. I brought to them the next day and the staff refunded efficiently. Good customer service.
Every time that I go to level 3 (men’s clothes) the security guard follows me. Today was the second time and I decided to not buy here anymore. This is so embarrassing! My partner doesn’t have time to shop and even that I like the place seeing this guy following me around makes me sick. Should I need to wear expensive brands to go there or I can just be myself?
Bought a Merino sweater for a great price and grabbed the "3 for 1" pack of socks as well... and am not sad about it. Proper quality, good choice of designs. Although there is no good choice of sizes; it's mostly either XS or XXXL... nearly nothing in between. Only a few staff, so getting service is not the easiest thing here.
Went shopping here around closing time and a lot of the workers were either passive or not doing their job. This was understandable as it was late, however one of the workers did a wonderful job on helping us find the correct size for the products we wanted and went out of her way to stay late. Good discounts too
Simply the best. The new rooms were well designed and logically perfect for the business traveller. Across the road is the river to swim. It was a pure delight to stay. It took approx 5-10min walk to be in the centre of the city or its historic tourist area.
I go to the beauty section, elizabeth arden to buy some stuff for my mom and this lady name Pamela..one of member staff there, approach me and my friend, she is absolutely fantastic and help me to decide which one to get for my mom <3 love the experience :)
I love Myer in Sydney. The open, bright lay out of the store & the range of goods. In particular, the fashion departments have the best range in Australia with an extensive & varied array of stock. Service is great with very attentive & helpful staff.
This Myer store had an interesting floor plan, retaining features of whatever was in the building originally. Upper floors were accessible by both elevators and escalators, and there were very friendly staff patrolling the floor and working counters.
This city Myer, is so unbelievably rundown and old... it's actually surprising they're not embarrassed to keep it open being in such a prime location in Australia's most beautiful city! The interior is crumbling and not maintained, leaves a
The sales person at the Gucci perfume section at the Myer CBD was super rude and dare I say very racist. I was rushing to buy presents for my husband after a work day and the was rude and mildly aggresseive when I picked the perfume and was
It is nice a shopping spot where you can find different brand and different shops. Specially, for perfumes and gifts. Also, they have a very good food court and they have different kind of food there where you can also eat with your family.
The jewellery area on ground floor is always short on staff. They are also unwelcoming and never acknowledge your presence. I like their jewellery selection, but walked out so many times because of long wait time and poor customer services.
The return policy at Myer is absolutely inflexible and disgusting. They are rigid, happy to take your money, but do not do even exchange happily, unless every rule is met. They have a really bad attitude towards it. I now avoid shopping
Myer's store appears to be understaffed, which can lead to longer wait times and less attentive customer service. A second class experience. This can be frustrating for shoppers looking for a smoother and more efficient experience.
I was served by Melissa in womens clothes who went above and beyond to help me. I felt like a valued customer and I mattered. Can't thank her enough for her consideration, and genuineness and excellent customer service. Thankyou!
I recently visited Myer Sydney, and I must say, it was a delightful shopping experience. The store offered a vast array of high-quality products and brands, making it a true shopper's paradise. The staff members were friendly,
Unfriendly staff. Be careful if you ask directions by staff. They growl back at you. Only super friendly staff was Rose from click and collect. Very professional, friendly and caring. More Roses at Myers, less grumpy staff
A department store located in the heart of Sydney. It's a popular shopping destination that offers a wide range of products, including clothing, cosmetics, homeware, and more. A convenient place for shopping in the city.
Workers at Witchery are absolute legends. Completely satisfied with what I bought, which for me is a very rare occurrence. Stock at all stores in Myer Sydney are better then everywhere else, there was so much variety!
Great variety of items loved leval 1.......Lost a point as the levals were a bit confusing for a first-timer visiting..... suggestion map of store layout near lifts......and if there was one, i missed it.
Lots of choices. Very reasonable prices. Good brands. Offered additional discounts. Customer service is excellent. Store layout is customer friendly, easy to find what you're looking for.
Lovely lady helped me picked the perfect pyjamas for my mum, forgot her name but she definitely deserves a raise, than another helpful lady helped me get the perfect dress for my mum.
This is the best one stop shopping destination in Australia. This Sydney CBD store is so flash and things are priced well. A must visit if you're visiting Sydney. Well done Myers!
Could have more friendlier and inviting staff. Specially in the formal wear sections. Did buy some clothes on a reasonable price, but I'm not keen on returning anytime soon.
Nicely stocked store if you're not over 170cm tall. Fitting rooms are absolutely disgusting on the woman's floor though, sad for such a overall good department store.
For me the store is generally not ‘shopper friendly’. The shoe department is the exception - easy to view styles across the brands & assistance is readily available.
Myer store near Pitt St mall at Sydney is one of best Myer stores in Australia. Visited recently again and it appears most of the items are more expensive than
Oh mine, this store is a blast from the past! Shopping should be enjoyed not endured. Myer should consider exiting the location before its brand gets tarnished
Thank u to the gentlemen at the Purfume counter, he matched the price of my Purfume to other store and also gave me wonderful samples as a bonus …
Very nice experience. I was in a rush and needed a shirt. Byron from Van Huesen was extremely helpful and even steamed the shirt for me!
The cafe 'Vics' on the 3rd floor, south west corner overlooking George St is nice. Coffee is good as is the food. Staff were very good.
Great I love Myer Store ..there's a good sale on at the moment so that was a bonus,& there's a Lego display upstairs level 7 I think
I found some amazing dresses at House Of CB and was given the best care by Chloe, couldn’t have asked for better service.
