A good friend won several season tickets for 2023 to the Houston Texans home games and generously offered me a choice of four games, since he knew I was a Texans fan. I chose the Cardinals for November 19th, a team for which J.J.Watt played besides the Texans. (NRG Stadium displays a Ring of Honor which includes Watts' name.) The last time I attended a professional football game was a long time ago in San Diego for a pre-season game between the San Diego Chargers and the Dallas Cowboys, coached by the legendary Tom Landry. So I had never attended a pro football game in an enclosed stadium like NRG. We had stayed in a hotel within walking distance from the stadium. But my wife had an unexpected issue while walking because of a recent back procedure and had a lot of difficulty negotiating steps once we got to the front entrance. That's when the NRG Stadium Mobility Support Team went into action, and within 30 minutes, she had a wheelchair in a handicap section where we enjoyed the entire game. The game this day also honored Active Duty and Veteran Military as well as First Responders. The Cardinals were no pushover and scored first. It was a highly Defensive game, and typically the Texans' victory wasn't assured until the last series of the game. A neat thing about an enclosed stadium like NRG is that the noise for the home team can be deafening. A couple of times the home crowd left my ears ringing. There are many concessions and businesses in the stadium, most of which are pretty expensive. Bring lots of cash or a hefty debit card. One concession touting "Texas Food" had Mr. Pibb but not Dr. Pepper. That's criminal! Overall, the game and experience at NRG were thrilling. The Mobility Team asked me to text them with about five minutes left in the game. At the end of the game, a wheelchair was waiting for my wife. The team member took her as far away from the stadium as he could, but he showed us a way where we could get to the front entrance in an easier way than we did earlier. Final analysis: NRG Stadium is stupendous. And Go Texans Go!

First, figuring out their ADA policies is next to impossible! I spent more than 4 days calling before I was able to speak to anyone who knew anything about the parks or the Texans policies for handicapped parking, seating, or drop off. When I did find someone, she spent 15 seconds on the phone, "answered" in one sentence (go to section 113 or 133, ask for ADA seating, 2 people only first come first served) then she promptly hung up the phone. On game day there is very little on their website about dropping off someone in a wheelchair but what little there was sent me to section Blue 19. Once at the stadium NOBODY knew ANYTHING about where to drop off wheelchair visitors and kept very rudely directing us all over until we finally just found a vacant area and got out. Once inside we went to the customer relations as directed and were dealt with quickly but they did say we could run our person in the wheelchair to our seats and bring the chair back to them to store for the game (very nice). Then the worst part... The graphics on the boards and rings were constantly flashing. Anyone with a seizure disorder such as myself cannot take all the flashing without risking seizures!!! I personally had constant issues with the flashing and had my eyes closed most of the game that I paid more than $200 to see. I have a seizure alert dog who was unable to do her job during much of the time due to the noise but she was signaling, she was indicating that I was having a seizure. I am confident I had at least 2 seizures since the lights were that bright. THIS STADIUM AND THEIR STAFF ARE 0% ADA COMPLIANT!!!!!!!!! As an update, they did move 2 of the 4 of my party (including me) to the ADA seats. They had to ask 2 squatters to kindly move over from our seats but they did not move them to their purchased seating. How nice of them. My handicapped sister was still in her purchased seat but at least the drunk squatters were able to keep their stolen seating. (Video is from my "ADA COMPLIANT" seat.)

Sports viewing is a popular pastime in any large city. Here in Houston, we have several large stadiums to accommodate professional and collegiate sports and the one that is associated with the Houston Texas is also the largest venue in the city. I am talking, of course, about NRG Stadium. This stadium was built with football in mind, and it holds about 72,000 fans. The view of the field is good from most any seat. There is abundant parking surrounding NRG Stadium. It really comes down to how much you are willing to pay to park. The stadium itself offers large walking areas, large ramps to help you get in and out of the stadium with ease, and escalators/elevators to reach the higher levels. One of the best features of NRG Stadium is the retractable roof. With this, you never need to worry about the weather interfering with a game or other event. You are protected under the roof and they try to keep the temperature at a comfortable level. With food and drink, you can find just about anything you like at NRG Stadium, depending on your seating level. I like having lots of food options- the usual popcorn, hotdogs, and burgers don’t cut it for me. I want more choices, and you certainly get more choices at NRG Stadium. Yes, the prices are steep, but it is like this at most any NFL stadium. NRG Stadium was made for football, but they hold concerts here, too, and it is the centerpiece of entertainment during the Houston Livestock and Rodeo show each year in the early spring. It’s a very good stadium overall, with a modern look and feel, wide walking areas, and other features to make game day or concert day as enjoyable as possible.

Attended Karol G’s concert last night and had a terrible experience! I was hesitant to go because I am pregnant and I thought I’ve been to NRG before and it was good so I went anyways. The people sitting next to my seats kept bringing other people into their seats cramming about 5 people into a 2 seat area, they were bumping into us and practically standing in front of us the majority of the concert! We asked kindly for them to scoot into their seats and they wouldn’t, my sister asked me to switch seats with her because I am pregnant and she didn’t want them to give me any trouble and when she asked them to move after they were bumping into her, they got mad and got in her face and were all trying to fight her, we had to walk away and after speaking to 1 security guard and 1 staff member they did nothing! They offered us to STAND in a different area! We paid $300+ for our tickets just to be told to stand and it is ridiculous that they allowed these people to just take our seats! We ended up leaving early, I refuse to stand in a concert I paid to have a seat for! Terrible experience here, have heard other people also had similar experiences with people stealing their seats. I would think twice before buying tickets for an event here!

I had the pleasure of visiting NRG Stadium in Houston for the Eagles vs. Texans game in November 2022, and it was an enjoyable experience overall. The stadium itself is impressive, with ample seating and modern amenities that ensure a comfortable game day experience. The fans were also cool and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyment of the game. However, it was surprising to see that the Texans fans were not as passionate as I had expected them to be. Perhaps it was due to the World Series happening at the same time, or the fact that the Texans were not doing well in the league. In contrast, Eagles fans were much louder and more visible, with more Eagles fans present than Texans fans. Despite the lack of passion from Texans fans, I still had a great time at the stadium. It's a nice and big stadium, with a great atmosphere for football. The only downside is the fact that the Texans franchise has struggled since its founding in 2002. Overall, I would recommend NRG Stadium as a great place to catch a football game. While the Texans may not be the best franchise in the league, the stadium itself and the fans make up for it. I would definitely consider returning for another game in the future.

  • Curt Mast

Excellent stadium and awesome atmosphere!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of vendors for a variety of food. The only thing I found irritating was The Texans Team Shop at the stadium has signs pointing you in the direction of it. However, my first time being there, I thought I had arrived at the team shop when, in fact, I arrived at a local shop selling merchandise, not realizing the actual team shop was behind it. Perhaps there was a sign still pointing me in the right direction, but I did not see it because I assumed I had arrived at the team shop only realizing that on my way out that I never actually made it to the team shop and my purchase was at the other shop. I really wanted the JJ Watt t-shirt that was for sale there. I left without it sadly. With all that being said I will be back!!

NRG Stadium in Houston totally rocks! It's like the ultimate spot for sports and entertainment. The place looks super cool, with loads of seats and all the fancy stuff you need. Whether it's NFL games, awesome concerts, or wild rodeos, this stadium has got it all. Oh, and the best part? They've got this crazy roof that can open up, so you're never too hot or too cold. But, I gotta warn ya, parking can be a pain when there's a big event, so make sure you've got a plan for that. All in all, NRG Stadium is a top spot for fun, just be ready for the crowds and parking hassles.

NRG stadium is one of the best places to go to for concerts. I have been there a couple times and it’s been the best. All the employees around make it super easy to enter the stadium which is a huge advantage since we live in Texas heat. Inside there is a variety of foods and drinks for people of all ages. It is a pretty big stadium but there is ushers all around helping you look for your designated seats. Overall I totally recommend attending a show here.

We love going to NRG, the reason for the 4 out of 5 is solely due to parking. Arriving, parking, and departing are always hectic. If the event organizers could just figure out a better flow for traffic it would increase the excitement of going to an event at NRG. We attended Monster Jam on 11 February 2023, and had a blast. The rodeo is up next and we'll be there for that as well. If you haven't had a chance to visit the NRG Stadium I highly recommend it, just give yourself plenty of time to arrive, park and depart the stadium.

"Attention hot dog lovers! Don't miss out on a mouthwatering experience at the NRG Stadium parking lot! There are hidden little hot dog stands tucked away, serving up incredibly delicious hot dogs that you won't want to miss. Whether you're attending a game, concert, or any event at NRG Stadium, make sure to keep an eye out for these hidden gems. Trust us, they're worth the search! Grab yourself a scrumptious hot dog and indulge in the perfect game day treat. Spread the word and share the hot dog love! Enjoy!"

A beautiful stadium. There's really not a bad seat in the house. The concessions had a ton of food and drink choices. 2 large digital high definition scoreboards are on both ends of the stadium, which makes it great for replays. The gameflow was very well done in coordination with the announcer and the DJ pump up music. Parking was easily accessible and the overall gameday experience was a positive one. This was one of the best stadiums I've been to.

Went here for the league championship series during the summer. The place was pretty awesome! I wish they had more events for the league of legends tournament. Tons and tons of bathrooms and they were at least stocked and clean for the event. I don't know if the prices are like that normally but the food was expensive as heck!

Had a great time at the NRG during Real Madrid vs Manchester United earlier this summer. In spite of how popular the event was, I was very impressed with how fast it was to get in and out of the stadium. Parking fees + food/drinks can be a bit hefty in the stadium lots, so consider other options if you’re on a budget.

Great experience. I'm not a Texans fan but it's nice to go to a stadium and people are all having a good time. As an out-of-town fan you're always kind of looking over your shoulder or getting screamed at. There was some fun banter but anytime stuff got out of hand locals in our section calmed it all down. All in all a great experience even though my team didn't win.

This place is awesome. Totally at capacity right now. NCAA Men's final four game is pretty exceptional right now. The crows is lit. The arena is actually very comfortable. AC is moderated well, not to cold, not too warm. Seat are not padded, however tolerable for a few minutes at time . The have really good seating vantage points, in section 120 and i still have really good visibility

NRG Stadium provided an excellent experience during the Houston Texans game. The atmosphere was electric, the facilities were clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The stadium's design has excellent views of the action, from the various sections. A fantastic venue for sports enthusiasts – I highly recommend NRG Stadium for an unforgettable game day experience!

Always something interesting and fun to do. We learned the hard way not to bring too big a purse, had to walk it back to the car and leave it there. Cant just inspect it. Not allowed if too big! And so once we got past that, the rest was easy. People are generally nice, stadium pretty clean, lots of food choices but more expensive than normal.

NRG Stadium is a great venue for sports and concerts alike. The seating areas are as small as usual, but there's really not a bad view or obstructions that I've seen. There are tons of parking options but traffic can be rough leaving so try parking a little ways off and then walking.

  • A B

The seats suck, they're too small like you're literally sitting on the person next to you rubbing elbows the whole time. Literally, even if you're a smaller person it's an issue. Aside from that we enjoyed our experience at our first NFL game and the overall atmosphere was awesome.

  • Taylor Scott

The spacing and set-up was exceptional, but there was food, empty cups, and gum on the floor when you went to sit down. The area is very wonderful especially what they do to get the sound around to everyone. I will definitely be returning for another concert at NRG Stadium.
