"I decided to try this place since I was craving fried chicken"
"The service from their staff was outstanding!!!! They greeted us from the door"
"Portions are huge, but you pay for it"
"My mom and I went here for the first time today and it was amazing"
"Some of the best fall off the bone BBQ ribs I've ever had! Collard greens were fantastic with just a bit of spiciness to them, same with the black eyed peas"
I decided to try this place since I was craving fried chicken. OMG I was blown away!! So good! And the Mac and Cheese is the best I’ve ever had from a restaurant!!! The staff was extremely nice. The girl that filled my order, I think was Kayasia, she was amazing and so friendly, full of smiles. I will be back for more, lots more. More
The service from their staff was outstanding!!!! They greeted us from the door. They talked about the food to help us with decisions and made sure they checked on us while we were seated at the tables. The food was delicious. Coming from north, I would recommend this place for people to come and get the experience. More
Portions are huge, but you pay for it. Staff is friendly. Nice building. The food was good , could use a few small improvements but good. Fried chicken was great, the ribs were good but the sauce could be improved. It would nice if you had a lower cost lunch option. I would go back again. More
My mom and I went here for the first time today and it was amazing. The employees were extremely polite especially with my mom asking lots of questions. The food was delicious. If we could give this place more than 5 stars we would. Definitely recommend :) More
Some of the best fall off the bone BBQ ribs I've ever had! Collard greens were fantastic with just a bit of spiciness to them, same with the black eyed peas. Never had a "smothered" pork chop before but definitely a fan. Great food all around.
Honestly I’m disappointed!!!! Canned green beans and idk maybe no bake Macaroni and cheese!!! The corn muffin was A1 though chicken was a lil dry but decent. It’s crazy because almost everything on the buffet was out the can hopefully as
We grabbed dinner yesterday. I would have liked signs on the food to know exactly what was behind the glass. I was impressed that the vegetables are not cooked in any meats (according to associate). I will admit that 1 meat and 2 sides is
I stumbled upon this restaurant the first time I came. When I seen soul food yesss I knew I had to try it. It’s costly to eat here cnt lie. One meat, 2 sides $17 and two meats 2 sides $25. I got 2 meats first time fried ckn and pork chop,
Came here for a late lunch. Sick of fast food. I got curry chicken, fried tilapia, curry rice with macaroni and cheese. The plate came with corn bread. The Mac n cheese was good, lacked seasoning but it wasn’t bad. The rice was tasty. The
I just would like to say for a soul food restaurant where is the soul? I purchase pork chops and it had absolutely no flavor! It seemed like the person just dropped the pork chop in the grease no breading no seasoning nothing. My husband
This location is true to the other location off Oak Lake Blvd. Food is fast, food is hot, food is ready, but most importantly it's SOOO SOOO GOOOD!!! The jerk chicken wing special on Friday never lets me down. And of course the macaroni
This was our first time here and we will be back! I got the small plate with fried fish, cabbage, and Mac n cheese and my wife tried the small plate Tuesday special Bourbon chicken with green beans and rice. And the fruit punch kool-aid
It is a small little place, but sufficient for the place to sit down to eat. I ordered the large plate, which consists of 2 meats, 2 sides, and cornbread or roll. It was pretty expensive in my opinion ($24), but anything good is worth
The food is fine. Nothing special. The concerning point is the price. $25 for a couple pieces of chicken with sides and a drink. And then a credit card fee on top of that. Not worth it for a lunch. If it was a full service restaurant,
Context is important. My family cooks this type of food. If you don't have someone who can make a home-cooked version, then you may like it. My main issue was with the sides. The chicken was crispy and not dry. The pork chop is tasty.
Great food and service! I had bbq chicken, cooked cabbage and potato salad. Husband had curry chicken, rice, and mac & cheese, with banana pudding. Great flavors and choices. Staff was very helpful More
Atmosphere good, clean. Green beans were very stringy. Sweet pot stringy. Expensive for the quality. Fried chicken tasted like if they were re- heated. Very dry and warm. No 2nd chance! More
Nana's is probably one of the best soul food restaurants on this side of town. I got the fried fish and it was cooked perfectly. The Mac and cheese was awesome and so was the rice. More
The atmosphere was great! Radio station was there live the day I went. Food was great just a lil cold. Cake was amazing. Very friendly service. I would definitely go back again! More
Service is great. The atmosphere is good as well. However, the food was just ok for the price, I expected it to be "good as hell." Not a place I'd come back quickly to visit. More
A little pricey, $15.49 for a small., meat 2 sides & a roll or cornbread. Drinks $3. Meatloaf was good a little soft but good. Blackeyed were hard & no seasoning. Rice was ok.
I love coming to this restaurant. The food reminds me of Sundays dinners with family. The flavors are so good and keeps you wanting more. I’ll be back for sure! More
I like this location better than the other one. Customer service was on point. The lady's who served me was polite and patient. And the food was good as usual. More
I got the fried chicken with mac and cheese and yams. Chicken was flavorful, moist, and fresh. Yams weren't too sweet, and Mac was great as well.
Came here dec 16,2023 visiting from New York spent 80$ and received potato salad soup which ran on everything else completely disappointed More
The was good Jerk chicken string beans and rice. Cost $15. + tax my mom had Collards greens. If you don't like sweet greens. Don't get it. More
Food is too pricy when it’s not good. Fried chicken was old and dry. Collard greens very sweet. Mac and cheese & corn muffin was ok. More
Staff was friendly and suggested my menu selection and I appreciate that as a pescetarian the fish was delicious More
The food is wonderful. The portions are generous. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very friendly. More
Positives: it was clean. Negatives: The food is very bland, but very expensive. I was completely
