The bistro here consistently produces classic pub food with 5-star excellence and without high-class stinginess shown in their generous portions and fair prices. Just recently, the hotel renovated its interior and subsequently enhanced the bistro's setting to be more modernised, spacious and merry. Their 200gm rump steak is a bargain for $15 including salad and chips or mash and vegetables with a choice of sauce. I recommend their gigantic Fisherman's Basket which boasts a delectable variety of fried prawns, crab, battered fish and scallops. They also have daily specials that contain more restaurant-oriented choices such as Chicken Florentine as well as simple dishes with juicy, tasty burgers, plentiful schnitzels and nutritious salads. Though I would prefer if they relied less on placing large amounts of mash on the plate and offered more vegetables or meat instead. While I can't speak of the rooming or hotel service, any guest would be head over heels for the magnificent lunches and dinners the bistro provides.

New owner. Main entrance turned into a red carpet for the pokie room. Outdoor setup improved although if dining you now feel like your not in the pub. At least they put some cheap artworks along the wall but still a sterile pace to eat. Or eat in front of the tab next to the bar of you're lucky to grab a seat. The more recent staff have a much better vibe than the staff when the pub first changed hands. Unfortunately I don't desire to go to the pub for food or a good experience anymore. Only for a drink or 2 because it's convenient. Suggestions. Get rid of your glory pokie room screen. It makes Narwee station look like a casino. Yes that's how bright it is. Get some big screens in the dining area and get rid of the central screens that close off the bar from the dining area. It's not about the kids. Ultimately it teaches kids that adults should hide drinking rather than being a.... Responsible drunk

Ok was disturbed that there was at least a dozen people walking in and not checking in or using hand sanitizer. No bread rolls were available for lunch also no desserts displayed. the standard of some of the food has declined .we and our family have dined there many times for lunch and dinner and have always found Oliver's menu outstanding but we're very disappointed on our last visit on 18 Feb for dinner . The beef and mushrooms pot pie was well below the usual standard, very little meat and soggy pastry. The boscaiola was only offered with spaghetti , large serving but not very tasty.we did get a bread roll but very small and multigrain nothing like the usual bread rolls that are normally lovely

The hotel is across the road from Narwee railway station, about 15 minutes from the airport, half hour back to the city. The room had all the essentials, was very comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. My room overlooked the back of the hotel and was very quiet. The bar and restaurant downstairs was easy going and relaxed, well prepared pub bistro food being enjoyed by lots of family groups, very reasonably priced, staff all friendly and skilled. If gaming is your thing, Narwee Hotel has a very comfortable TAB beer garden, and a well appointed gaming machine room discretely separate from the main bar.

I stayed for 2 nights. I arrived early and was able to make myself comfortable downstairs while waiting for my room to be ready. My room had everything I needed during my stay. The room was quiet, clean and warm with a very comfortable bed. The food available from the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The train station and bus stop were just across the road with a 7Eleven and bakery closeby which I made good use of while here. This is a bargain price accommodation of which I would highly recommend a stopover here. Thank you.

This appears to be more of a local pub rather than an establishment focusing on accommodation. From what I could see there is accommodation on the upper floor, just not sure how extensive it is. I went for a meal in the bistro based on a recommendation from another local and I was quite happy I did. The food was excellent; one of the best Beef and Guinness pies I have eaten. The service was also well above what I expected. In particular the bar staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I will be going back again.

I spent only one night, they attended to me very politely, I had a burger in the bistro which was tasty. The room was very clean and tidy, I would suggest just to fix the carpet. It's in front of the train station, super convenient. It has no elevator, but the rooms are in the first floor.

The staff was very welcoming and warm. when we order complementary drinks it was promptly served. I like the way they were mingling with the customers and not just standing behind the bar.

Worst experience in Sydney. We arrived at the hotel around 1pm. They assigned us a room which has seperated bathroom as u can see in the pic. I asked them to change the room with bathroom inside. But they told me "because you made ur booking online we can't change ur room", "next time u visit our hotel you should give us a call to assign you a room with bathroom inside"... because it was a excuse which didnt make any sense to me, i had to leave the hotel and also there will never be "next time" to visit this hotel.

Staff are friendly but atm they dont have my beer on Tap, maybe they should Change back to Tooheys Old. It's been a Month now. An Tooheys Old on Tap is much better It's the 2nd time in about 6 months that the the Glass Dishwasher has broken down. That time it took about 2 maybe 3 months to fix. This time it's been 2 weeks, you would think a multi Billion Dollar company would just go out an get a replacement. Probably only cost 5-8k Tax write off.The beer taste worse than my #2 smells

One of my favourite spots to have a nice dinner with my family. The place used to be pretty average, but it’s recent kitchen and dining area revamp has really brought it to life. The food it affordable and delicious and the staff could not be nicer, the bartenders, waiter and chefs are all extremely nice and provide great service. Couldn’t ask for a better place to have a solid steak and a couple of beers.

Pros: The cleaners were very nice. You get housekeeping every morning. The hotel is in a good location with the train station opposite. There's free WiFi. If you're staying long term, you can ask the cleaners to use the laundry room. Cons: The doors are very loud. So if you're staying in rooms: 1 - 3 you'll hear the door closing everytime and it's extremely loud.

Recently had a renovation to the inside areas and is significantly better than previously and the dining furniture is very comfortable, food is also very good and has greatly improved. Overall a very enjoyable family day out, they had a lovely lady doing face painting and balloon animals for the kids which was awesome and the kids loved it.

The hotel is right across the train station which is a big plus! There was never any cigarette smell in the hotel hallways/rooms. For $96/night I didn’t expect the amenities they provided in the mini bar(those free two bottles of water) Room was nice and standard. The A/C though only provided fan(or maybe we couldn’t figure out). Staff was helpful. Would love to stay here again if I’m going to spend a weekend in Sydney CBD.

When travelling north from either VIC or Southern NSW, and you are ready for a rest and enjoy a meal and a drink or two, this is an ideal stop over point. My wife and I have been here many times, and find the staff accommodating and the rooms clean and comfortable. Handy also for those travelling south from Northern NSW and require a stop over on there way through Sydney.

The once satisfying food at this frequently visited place has notably declined recently. The sole good dish was the schnitzel while the special, the lamb shanks, and the barramundi with celery-tasting bean slop were disappointing. The lack of menu flexibility, such as substituting the bean slop with salad, is bad. Despite pleasant staff, current food quality discourages us from returning.

Reception was incredibly rood. Based on the Booking.com they were supposed to have room available. Once I arrived the reception said my computer doesn’t work I don’t know if I have a room available. NSW public transport was on industrial action so that I couldn’t get to any other place I hope a manager or someone in charge sees my review about its staff So sorry for such a hotel

Very convenient location just next to the Narwee train station. I booked this place because all other places close to the airport was almost twice as expensive. The train line goes directly to the airport and so it is very convenient.

Bistro is ok.. I believe management changed and prices went up.. but it's ok.. everything is more expensive nowadays. So meat is good, but please don't sell Lasagne if you don't know how to make it, because throwing some beef mince on some lasagne sheet and top it with cheese is not lasagne. Where is the white sauce?? Sheets were hard and everything was dry.

Was walking go the train station but decided to head in for a coffee. They had excellent coffee and cakes. The staff are the highlight though, they are friendly, kind and super helpful. Had an excellent time and the staff were constantly working so hard with a smile on their face. Keep it up - managers take note, you have an excellent team indeed.

  • Charlie Oh

This place still cranks but the bistro seems to be lacking a tad. Used to come here for dinner all the time. Came down memory lane and wanted to see if the food was still poppin. Wasn't as good as I remembered. As for the vibe, it's still there and everyone is having a great time.

The bar staff does absolutely nothing including the manager, it took them 40 minutes to pick up our empty plates and glasses. The bar staff walked past the table many times and did absolutely nothing. They were just standing around chatting at very loud level, many could hear their personal conversations. Unprofessional.

Good but limited Pokies, larger part the smoking section. Bit squishy but good atmosphere. Great staff. Lots parking. Great food. Awesome free nibblies. Not very attractive or efficient layout of eating and seating areas and bathrooms. Clean always. Across from 7/11. Next to train. Close early at midnight on Sunday.

Reasonable priced steaks (main) for dinner with family. It gets busy after 18:30 so it pays to be there early or later after 20:00. Atmosphere is on the betting & gambling side but if you choose your seating & table right with kids, it will be a great evening while you still can have a schooner.

Great price $8 steak and mash. Worst thing though, is the time it takes for the food to be brought out to you. It took over an hour and a half for a table of six to be served. They should really prioritise their service. People that ordered way after we did got served before us.

  • Katie Lau

I used to love this place but in the last 6 months they have increased their prices twice. I know there’s inflation but why the 2 price rises in just six months? Not going to go anymore. What a shame. It was good food but the prices are ridiculous for the location.

Waited 50 minutes for our food. They lost our order. We spoke to the manager and he offered no compensation. Asked why it took so long and was told sorry I don't have a reason. Wow never coming here again. Poor service and poor management

Fantastic food! Always consistant in quality. Well priced. Fresh and ample plate full. Meat is always cooked to perfection. Rump steak medium rare was so tender and high quality piece of meat as well. Chef is friendly and talented.

Clean rooms with slightly dated decor. Slightly noisy as you can hear the poker machines in the later part of the night but not obtrusive. Meals at the bistro are excellently priced, simple pub staples and great value for money.
