"The entire “mall” was amazing"
"Highly recommend buying the tour bus pass because it is a lot of walking expected, so if it is your first time, it is totally worth it and you can hop on and off as many times to discover the multiple stops along the way"
"A great place for early spring or late fall to avoid massive crowds"
"Museums here are awesome, best of all it's free"
Absolutely great! My son and I spent a lot of time walking the length of the National Mall. My only complaint? I wish there was a Metro station closer to the Lincoln Memorial. It's a bit of a walk from the Foggy Bottom or Smithsonian stations. More
The entire “mall” was amazing. There were so many great views and museums to visit. Like any tourist location, I would recommend a weekday… but that also has its drawbacks. There are some school tours of some museums during school time.
Highly recommend buying the tour bus pass because it is a lot of walking expected, so if it is your first time, it is totally worth it and you can hop on and off as many times to discover the multiple stops along the way.
A great place for early spring or late fall to avoid massive crowds. Too many museums to name and great food options abound. History, current events. Architecture. Great sights all await on this visit. More
Museums here are awesome, best of all it's free. We went to the National Museum of Natural History, looking at giant fossils and animal displays, also the smallest and most expensive diamonds.
So many beautiful things to see and do. All the Smithsonian museums are there and of course the monuments and buildings. You need time and energy to see it all. But it's totally worth it. More
Lovely, large, central tourist and historical area of Washington DC. Huge open space surrounded by museums and monuments. You can not explore it all in 1 day - you need at least 3.
The monument has tickets opening at 10am am sold out at 10:01am. So best to have the fastest fingers around
This is part of the Honor Flight I was honored to attend as the Guardian for my Father. Korean War Vet.
