Been here for various events, including the brilliant Sunday evening open mic night hosted by the inimitable Rhett Barrow; as well as one of the best live sets ever witnessed when the same promoter recently booked local legends, The Paradimes. The staff here are so lovely, friendly and professional. The drinks are great, whilst the atmosphere is usually somewhere between super-chill and vibrantly buzzing. Either way, the decor is unique, there's a nice little raised area inside the building for performances and, outside, there's covered decking running the length of the building, which leaves lots of space for smoking or not. One of the best bars about. Highly recommended.

So we were meant to go to Chelmsford to my best friends Hen, 2 days before the hen/stag company went into liquidation. We managed to find an air bnb in Leicester and decided to blag the first night. We ended up at NatterJacks and WOW. The live music, cocktails and energy was amazing. The blonde lady (we assume the owner or bar manager) made the experience so much more than we expected for something last minute. She brought out balloons, a selfie frame, sparklers and a row of shots for her. We planned to just stay an hour but we ended up staying 4.5 hours. Thank you so so much for such an amazing experience and saving the first night of the last minute Hen.

We live in the nearby and it's getting infuriating that they are open every day until 3 in the morning with music blasting. Thursday, Friday and Saturday I can understand, but Tuesday and Wednesday people still have to wake up early in the morning for work and other commitments. We actually measured loudness last Tuesday and it was 65db at 2 in the morning, which is 20db over permitted limits even for bars. From now on we will be reporting it with other neighbors every night until you stop being ridiculous.

I usually love Natterjacks and it's a place me and my husband used as our engagement party venue because it's where he first asked me out....however we had a date day planned today and we checked the website to see if they were open on a Sunday and service breakfasts... earlier in the week I'd went in to ask a member of staff as well who confirmed they opened at 9am and serve a full breakfast....we showed up at 11 and CLOSED!!! Very annoyed as it was part of our date day planned.

Not the first time here. Cosy vintage, retro place. Outside seating available, smoking allowed. Bartender was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in regards food and drink selection. Cocktails available. Toilets were fairly clean. Cutlery and tables spotless. Couple of downsides however. The waitress asked if we finished while my partner was still eating; bartender stood on a rail to hang daily info barefoot and didnt wipe the rail. Other than that no issues. Recommend.

We came here after hearing good things. After ordering food, I was absolutely disgusted in the food. I found not one but TWO men’s hairs in my food and it’s safe to say I didn’t touch my wrap after that, waiter dropped one of my fries on the side and picked it up with his bare hand and put it back on the plate. Cocktails were actually nice but the food was greasy and the hair just topped it off for me. Chef wears no hair net and if doesn’t look hygienic to say the least.

Wasn't very welcoming. Bar staff pulled a face when we ordered a pitcher each. Then made one at a time, and very, very slowly. Took over 10 minutes from ordering to sitting down, and it wasn't like it was busy. Don't understand why we were given paper straws, as they disintegrated pretty quickly, wrapped plastic ones would have been appreciated. Drinks weren't particularly nice either. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend.

First trip back to Braunstone gate since the pandemic Natterjacks used to be buzzing in the day. .. it has certainly changed and not for the better... maybe its due to the security guard on the door,very intimidating and I'm not entirely sure belonging to the SIA you can stop and search people wanting to enter a venue but he certainly was not a friendly person but looked to want to entice trouble, just an observation

Had a table booked from 6-11 to watch the semi-final. We were assured if we turned up by 7pm our table would be held. Turned up at 6.30pm to find the table had been given away. We had to sit outside in the smoking area (we're all non-smokers) watching a delayed stream on wet tables due to the heavy rain. First and last time I'll be visiting, which is unfortunate as the food was actually quite good.

Possibly the best breakfast I've eaten in Leicester - sausages were amazing. Food's always good in here. Good weighty cutlery. Punk on tap. Friendly staff. Excellent Edit: Unfortunately, since my last review this place has changed hands and it's good menu. I had a breakfast here on Sunday morning and almost everything was deep fried, cheap sausages, no butter, no brown sauce. Best to avoid.

Lovely staff, but DJ On Saturday, February 12, it was a complete failure. people asked him for songs but he wouldn't listen. he was self-satisfied, enjoyed his self. during the whole event nobody was dancing and he didn't notice it because he got into his DJing so much, with drum and bass music or wherever that called. Disaster Please Nattarjack, don’t let that Dj play again please!

Ate here yesterday and the food although tasty was cold when it was served. Ordered burritos and fajitas and got 2 plates that were identical. There was an option for mild, medium or hot which related to the little pot of sauce served with it and I didn't even get that till I asked. Was still eating and the server appeared and took my plate! May be worth a try but beware

Went for the music at this location, they have a Latin night, I have heard good things about this place from friends so we went for a dance . Unfortunately when we went the music want amazing, the play list was a little dead and distasteful, and the dj could have mixed better. It didn't get my groove. But on the Latin dance nights I would give it a go.

Only went in here for one drink with 4 people. £19.50 for 2 pints of beer, 1 gin and tonic and a coke!! Wont be going again thats for sure. I even reminded the man behind the bar i gave him a £20 note incase he had made a mistake and he said yes i know.... Ended up accross the road in the laundry bar all evening. Better value for money.

Came for lunch, Saturday. Fish & chips... Delicious! Service from Kerry (our server) was excellent, attentive without hovering. Kerry was clearly very busy and appeared to be doing most of the work, however she still managed to provide excellent service! Thanks to the chefs and Kerry for providing a first class lunch experience.

Fantastic! We went for my friends Hen, once they saw her they really made her feel special. Gave us a great table near the dance floor which they decorated, took her to the stage for shots to cheers from the other guests. Made the night really special. Great staff, good music and drinks. Thank you natterjacks!

Awesome Sunday dinner! Very generous portions at a reasonable price. Had so much food left on my plate, I had to box the rest up and take home with me. There was no way I was letting that go to waste! Highly recommended! Great service from René and Stevie as always. I will definitely be coming back very soon

I visited in the early evening and there were not many people there so I had a very nice time on the veranda. The prices are reasonable and the decor is awesome, the door to the loos is disguised as a police box just like the TARDIS and as a huge geek I almost screamed with delight.

Perhaps don't have signs outside saying how amazing your food is if you're going to tell face to face customers you are prioritising online orders so won't be serving food to anyone who walks in the door. Awful customer service. You only get one star because I can't post a zero.

Went there for a colleague's birthday and had an amazing time. The catering was excellent and the food was great. Drinks were reasonably priced and and there were a lot of options. Would definitely recommend, especially as you have to go through a Tardis to get to the toilets!

Natterjacks used to be my favourite place but it’s gone very downhill since changing management which is a shame because it was my local whenever me and my family fancied going out for food and drinks! The menu isn’t as good as it was. A lot of the locals feel the same

I love Sunday nights there. Open Mic is the best night in brauny Gate all week. Made to feel welcome, even allowed to sing to (falling over optional) Lovely friendly staff, amazing musicians, lovely funny friendly atmosphere , great decor and venue. Top Place

We obviously chose a wrong night to descend upon this place. There was a private party on but it took over the whole bar with the music and guests......why not just close it off to the general public in that case? We chose to sit outside, there were 12 of us.

Came into this place by accident and was welcomed by very professional down to earth staff, then having decided to stay had the best burger and chips I've eaten in Leicester or a long time.in general. Good quality place, good music and good people.

So 2 for £5 on selected drinks. Just had £9.40 taken out of my account at 6:20pm on Thursday night for 2 pints of Fosters. Nice pint of Fosters but even so. Been here several times this year and never had this problem before. Disappointed ☹️.

Food and drinks never disappointed, atmosphere is always bouncing no matter what time of day. Staff are always friendly and always willing to help. Loads of offers and discount on daily, can’t say no really!! Fave place to go in Leicester!!!

Good pub grub (especially tasty burgers). The prices are reasonable with a wide selection of drinks. The décor is inspired by the film and TV industry. The toilet is especially cool as you enter through a Police Box straight from Doctor Who.

Decent pint and friendly atmosphere. It's very different to the previous 'Loaf' bar that was in the same place years ago, but good to see this place open again if not quite the same vibe. There's also a pool table in there these days.

Best atmosphere for the football. Food is 2nd to none and everything is incredibly well priced. Staff are attentive and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a fabulous visit. If you don't believe me go see for yourself !!!!

Gave away our table after assuring me earlier the same day that it would be booked for myself until 11pm. This meant a group of us sat in the wet, with a delayed football stream, missing the fun indoors. Not impressed.

Great for sports, watched the champions league final here and they had vip wristbands which gave us great prices on our beers. Also a great atmosphere with brill staff. Definitely recommend this place for sports. 10/10

I always enjoy popping into natterjacks excellent staff very popular pub for Football & Cricket & the Olympics on skysports always busy it night , have tried Old Mout Cider in raspberry all flavours are terrific !

They had a good deal on with a burger and drink and the burger was delicious, presentation was very good and portion size was really good. Defo worth a visit. Staff are very friendly with decent back ground music

Slow service when it wasn't busy. Ordered 2 Malibu and pineapple singles first time got charged £9.80 second time got charged £9.20. Seemed like they charged what they wanted? And expensive for 2 single shorts ?

Booked in for a 60th birthday. Had catering from the venue for 30ish people and was really pleased with everything. Overall really happy and the reggae singer was fab!. We will be back for our next event!.

The bouncers are polite and the drinks are not overpriced. Lots of outdoor seating now at the back as well as front. Open until 2 at the weekend so nice place to stay out and avoid town

Nice bar, we went for food on a Friday afternoon it was relatively quite and we were served quickly. I had the camembert burger and it was amazing! Definately recommend for bar food

Food is your standard student pub grub. Nothing to write home about. But they sell beer, and have a an ok beer garden. So why not, it's better than a coffee.

I didn't hate the place, the food was good the service poor you cannot 3/4 of an hour for a simple snack especially when the place is empty.

Went to a reggae night decent music and vybes.. a few fights inside which ruined it for the people that was good and just wanted fun..
