Two years ago in December just days before Christmas I pulled in to Neil's to air up my tire on the way to work. It had been snowing and my truck wasn't running well. It had been a rough year for me financially. I had been filling up a slow leaking tire while I had been saving for a new one over the past few weeks. The owner was outside and walked up to me. He said, "do you know what we call your type, AP&W customers. I've seen you come to my shop before and the only thing you do is use my air. The only thing you are good for is Air, Pee, and Water....APW." I was thoroughly disgusted. Neil's has been a fixture in this neighborhood for years. I aired my bike tire up as a kid at his shop. I had my first car service there when I turned 16. I purchased gas there when their pumps worked instead of Smith's across the street for years because his shop was a small local business. I have taken multiple family cars, and refered numerous friends to his shop. I have personally helped tow 5 vehicles to that shop for service. I have refused to set foot on their property for two years because of this treatment. Tonight I helped one more friend tow his car to Neil's. I'm never doing that again. Take your business elsewhere. My patronage as a customer has amounted to thousands of dollars over two decades not including the thousands of dollars they have recieved in business for friends and family as referrals. They do not value your dollar, your patronage, or deserve your business.

Honest, efficient and thorough. My car finally started acting out really bad (we've had it for 6 years over 140K miles). And I for sure thought she was toast. After a frantic and crazy afternoon limped it over to this place. True family owned and operated business. We assume the son Chris runs things, as the father, very warm old man, showing signs of being up there. Bless his heart. But great experience, dropped off the car on Wednesday, was very honest about the timeline. (Better say later and deliver sooner IMHO.) Thursday afternoon we had a diagnosis and a cost. We were able to take the car home on Friday without it costing us an arm and a leg. No unnecessary days of waiting or labor charges. Just professional and prompt. He even was able to show my husband a breakdown of what caused the issue in the first place as well as make sure there was not any further damage. Heaven forbid one needs a repairman- but going there rest assured you're in good hands.

I took my car here a few months ago and I was very impressed. Cost was fair. Mechanic was nice. However, my son was driving my car and according to him "it just stopped ". I dropped the car off to be diagnosed. While I do not know who called me from the shop to give me the news that my motor is seized he was extremely rude and unprofessional. Right after he delivered what is truly a heartbreaking diagnosis he demanded that I "get the car outta here". I was a little taken a back by his lack of empathy and his harsh rude tone and demands. To take it one step farther my son took his civic to the shop a couple months ago. Dropped it off with a working clutch and was told it had no clutch after this shop was supposed to be diagnosing a completly different issue. Then charged him $50 with no diagnosis and minus a clutch. Buyer beware.....

Wow! Highly recommend these guys as honest and community driven. Took my old BMW in. It ended up having a cracked oil pan. Scott told me they wouldn’t be able to work on it so I went to pick it up. All the oil had leaked out. Even though they knew they couldn’t repair it, they lifted it up to show me the crack and Scott even went out of his way to add silicone to the crack so I could drive it home. He put oil in it and sent me on my way and refused to charge me. That’s customer service!! I will definitely be back with my other car!! The entire time he had a smile on his face!

My Auntie's little car wouldn't start. I tried and tried to clean up the battery. I jumped it three days in a row. Finally, I just gave up and realized I needed a new battery for my 85-year-old Auntie's vehicle. When I called it was immediate. No problem. Scott said come on in and we'll get it taken care of. When we arrived they were waiting for us. It was not long. They switched out the battery so fast and had us back on the road. My Auntie is always telling me how Amazing and family friendly. I truly believe her now! Thank you guys for taking such great care of my little Auntie.

We absolutely loved our experience with Neil’s Pro! We had a pretty tough problem with a mystery engine light, as well as a few other minor repairs. They worked so hard to find out what the problem was and even called in a specialist to look at it. They even fixed our broken tire pressure light somehow. The price was extremely reasonable and our car works perfectly now! They were fair, open and honest with us the whole time. Would definitely go there again. One of our friends uses Neil's Pro Services for their automotive needs. We haven't personally used them, but I wanted to put in a good word here. My friend's car died at our house. We figured she needed a new battery. She decided to call Neil's to see if they would come check out her car & they came right over! I was so impressed! We managed to get her car to the shop & they fixed everything right up! In this day & age, this type of service is rare & is a special thing to experience!

I was referred there by my brother, and now I take all of my cars there. I travel all the way across the city, even just for inspections. It's the most fair and complete service I've ever received. They explain clearly what needs to be fixed, what doesn't, and what the options are. Some of it I choose to do myself, others I would rather have them do. I feel like I can drive my older cars for 4 years longer than I would otherwise because I have a mechanic shop this helpful.

Chris is amazing! He’s been an awesome mechanic to my family and friends for years. I see him frequently, not because my car is broken but I get all of my oil changes here. The for select few times my car has been broken he has been quick to fix it! Chris has become a good family friend not only to me but my parents as well. If you need any type of work done your car give them a call. You won’t regret it!

I love this place. I have gone to them for years and I have never been disappointed with their service. All the employees are super helpful. This place DOES NOT DO APPOINTMENTS. I have never had a problem with this, and they always get done with small tasks quickly. I have never been overcharged for a service or lied to about a situation with my vehicle. I’ve been going to Niel’s for a few years now but definitely not as long as my father who is a Rosepark native. After moving away and coming back it was a lot more apparent to me the quality of service I had been getting all those years for an exceptional price. They are quick with their work and honest in their intentions. I’ve never been happier with a family run business before.

I took my car there 3 times. 1st time was a simple oil change and filter change. they didn't replace the filters. 2nd time was for tire rotation and oil change. They didn't shut the damn hood! Luckily I noticed it moving at low speeds. 3rd time my sister took it in there and they lost the paper work so my car sat there for a whole day til I came and got it... NEVER GO THERE!

Scott is the most awesome mechanic ever. He helped my company out on several occasions and made it look so easy. I thought I'd blown a hole in the company car tire and he was able to assess that it was just a bent rim and had us back on the road in no time. This avoided me having to go to Big O Tires. Wow! We love the people here. Always so friendly and smiling!

AMAZING experience! Came in a little panicked about a noise my car was making- it was an hour before they closed and I felt super bad! They said it was no problem to take a look and put it up on the lift. They diagnosed the problem and were honest. We will definitely be coming back if we ever need service. Amazing mechanic shop who is fast, busy, cheap and does quality service. Brought my vehicle in to have the AC compressor fixed. It ended up costing me several hundred dollars less than the estimate from another mechanic shop. Excellent service! I live three cities away and will drive the 20 miles for future service.

Had me in and out for a vehicle inspection in less than ten minutes. Very impressed with this place. Just feels like a trustworthy spot to take your car for repairs as well...just had that feel to it. I’ve tried to take my car here twice on two separate occasions and on the phone they say “yeah bring it in” and then when I go in to drop the car off they look at you like you’re from a different planet and say that they don’t know how they could possibly fit you in. They seem to have no operational skills

I’ve never had a more positive car repair experience than at Neil’s pro. I’ve taken my car in several times and they are consistently fast, reliable, and very knowledgeable. The staff is super friendly and the work is always done right. I feel like a good mechanic can be hard to find but we found one!

They were helpful in helping us diagnose issues we were having with our radiator and were willing to go the extra mile to help us find out if we could fix our car or not. We recommend them for ANY servicing you need done! They were so nice and didn't try pushing us to spend more that what we had.

I was very impressed! I had a long wait even after arriving first thing in the morning. I was very surprised at how little people were being charged. The lady sitting next to me raved about how great they were. When I finally was helped, I was told where to buy the part and charged nothing.

After replacing a coil-over and taking my car to the dealership, I took my car to Neil's. They were able to get me in first thing in the morning and had it fixed by 1:30pm. Did I mention that the dealership told me I needed a NEW ENGINE?! Turns out it was spark plugs...thank you Neil's!

Called about getting a tire plugged. Was quoted price, and told to just bring it in. So I did couple hours later during lunch break. Seems like they do their best to take care of everyone. Fast and friendly service, Quick plug, water test, about 15 minutes for under $20. Thanks!

It's a mixed bag. My family has been taking cars here for 30+ years. Generally great guys that do good work. Though at times you can get them in a pissy mood making a stressful repair even worse. As far as mom & pop repair shops go it's one you can trust.

Great service. Always go the extra mile. Once they drove across town to diagnose a problem with a car they had worked on. The problem was not related to what they did but it proved to me their dedication to their customers. I will never go anywhere else.
