Most teacher are really helpful and nice, but some are, unfortunately, even though their intentions are good, incompetent of teaching. So you are basically on your own in those circumstances. This school is very liberal, that is, it’s totally up to you wether you show up to class, do your HW, or don’t do anything. There are no teachers who will push you, and ask you if you understood, or submitted your assignments. This is great for independent students who have a lot of self-discipline. The school is very chaotic though. This became even more obvious during the corona pandemic. Nevertheless, for Berlin standards, the school is good. Again, the school is great for proactive, disciplined, independent students.

This school scarred me for life. I had a terrible time there that started with the headmaster telling me he didn't want me in his school. I was seen as a bad kid and was constantly accused of things I hadn't done. All teachers thought I was some kind of junky even though I was one of the few people in the school who didn't take anything. Instead of trying to find out why I wasn't good in class or disruptive I was constantly punished. The social workers would warn other parents to tell their kids to stay away from me. I had a very difficult childhood with neither of my parents being very good and now have been diagnosed with ADD. How did nobody in the entire school ever think to ask if I was okay?

really good school came to 3 grade their classmates were not very open last year now I'm in fifth grade and the teacher team is very encouraging. In homeschooling times in 5th grade they made a great effort for my classmates and me to have regular scheduled calls and offered online support and more . A horray to the 5a and 4c teacher team .

The admissions person is incompetent. Instead of being welcoming and listening to the questions I had she did not want to listen and told me that they only offer places to students with 'highly mobile' parents. If she had listened then she would have known my situation fit this profile. This school is a joke and is unprofessional.

So grateful for the experience at this school. Amazing teachers and out of the world IB coordinators who understand a parents point of view completely. My son in IB12 is getting an immersion into studies like never before. Thanks NMS for creating this exhilarating learning environment ⭐️ …

Diese schule ist ein Albtraum es wird sehr viel geklaut, die meisten Lehrer sind sehr faul und kommen nie zur schule, es ist sehr unorganisiert und obwohl die schule "Nelson Mandela Schule" Heißt ist es sehr rassistisch die schule hat sehr viel Graffiti. die schule ist ein Witz
