Today we went to Cheers and opted buy one get one free pizza. Waitress told we should pay the expensive one and the cheapest pizza will be free. So I ordered meat pizza priced 1200 kes, and my friend asked for margarita pizza priced 650 kes but asked extra topping like cheese and prawns that made the pizza 1000 kes with extra toppings. When I asked the bill I realized they charged the expensive meat pizza together with extra toppings for the margarita pizza. I said I won’t pay that, I didn’t pay. A bit quarreling happened. These guys here in Mombasa say money money money. Sick mentality. Next time I will try to talk to mzungu owners ( I guess ) to educate staffs how to treat customers happy and not down. And not to play game with their bird brain…

The place is more of a flesh trading centre (if you know what I mean): but one can still enjoy a drink and the evening music as the merchants don't bother you. The live band evenings give a good relief to the DJs repertoire. Don't ask for the cappuccino, the so called barista cannot make you a hot cup. I have tried this in 4 different occasions. The last time I had specifically asked the waiting staff to give ear instructions that I needed a hot cuppa, but what came I swallowed in two gulps.

Nice music and ambiance is not everything. The one thing that is sad about locals/restaurants and especially one that is as busy as this is when you don't have items on the menu. Not just a few, but I spent 7 minutes going back and forth with the server because everything I wanted to order was not available, then you have to settle. No fresh juice You offer 4 different box juices but only have two available. You don't have local chicken, only the fake steroid broiler?!?!? Just sad.

The New Cheers Tia Maria, is located opposite Bamburi Police station and adjacent to Total Petrol station and the Si Rock Hotel along the Mombasa Malindi road. the place host live band and karaoke every the ambiance is fantastic, the joint is frequented by locals and tourists alike. you can catch up on you football on large TV screens located through out the restaurant area as you enjoy your meal and drink, plenty of African ladies frequent this place too

Cheers has definitely re-vamped! This is hands down the most lively bar in Mombasa. The staff is always ready to help, the premises are extremely clean, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented. They often have various events and live bands so it’s never a dull moment. Be prepared to mingle and meet various people, and the happy hour is definitely something I’d recommend!

Totally destroyed after the new owner took over from the previous German owner that passed away. The decisions of the new owner chased away all the old loyal customers. Place is just a trap now.

Makuti roofed bar with good food at reasonable prices, good efficient service and regular events. Like many coast bars if there are wazungu then there are ladies looking for them, but that’s not the owners fault. It’s busy because it’s popular and popular because it’s offering what people want- music that allows you to talk, beer that’s cold, food that’s good value and efficient staff

It's a good local pub. Nothing out of the ordinary for this genre of venue. It is a smoking zone so if anyone is sensitive about that, then this place will not do. The mix of people is well blended with locals and expat randomly intertwined... Not a touristy place at all... prices are not baseline so one should not attend here on a budget. Service is prompt and friendly... Good place..

I love the tea and the samosas ...and the sausages.... Keep it up..l chose to taste the americana pizza today...it was awesome

We were served very well at our table. We were with 2 black ladies and 1 one white older man. It's a pity that the dishes weren't served at the same time, so I think the planning of the cook or the communication wasn't good. The meals were very tasteful and well prepared, especially the Sea Food Pizza.

Under new management definitely a lot of new good changes to this landmark of a bar. The ambience is great , service is ok . The drinks are reasonably priced and quite a large selection of alchoholic drinks and cocktails . The food menu is definitely revamped the clay oven pizzas are a must . Different entertainment on different days of the week can get loud .

Starting today there is live music on Saturday nights starting at 8pm. In general though, the place stands out for having great bartenders. This is a bar where you can make friends with the staff and hang out with with other expats that you came with or you met there. Beer and food are pretty inexpensive compared to most other international-like food options.

I rember it was my girlfriend's birthday and the place we had planned didn't turn out as expected and with no reservations we just walked in this wonderful Cheers place and everything was all set for us... And it had a live band that day too, so you can imagine how wonderful it was. I really loved their hospitality, it's really a great place.

Cheers hosts numerous events, and I think the general air/mood of the place depends with the event being hosted. Went to dance to a local artist and I loved it. But was really disappointed when I attended a performance by the Wazongus and they only performed for less than 2 hours.

Well I havent been here. But the first review I read made it sound like a brothel. What alarmed me was the word"we" Sounds like he is taking ownership of selling sex. Another comment was made about many white men and beautiful ladies. Sounds like a legit place where there could be underage sex trafficking

Used to love this place before however it has turned to a den of ladies hunting foreigners and also foreigners looking for cheap ladies. Same old crowd daily however drinks are quite affordable but level of hygiene and service is very poor. I personally would not visit there anymore

Food not suitable for human consumption, avoid at all cost. Choma was like rubber, we sent the food back and asked them to remove from the bill. Management sent a bouncer and threatened with police. Band is fantastic though, so might come back for drinks.

Its located just opposite bamburi police just on the highway mombasa to mtwapa road. Live bands and music. Its mostly a favorite spot but our brothers from germans and Italian and also local tourists.

The place at night is a solid 6/10. Good music and club ambience. The (sticky chicken wings) were horrible 1/10. The service is a solid 4/10 mainly. Overall I would give it a 4.5/10 just for the drinks and vibe.

Horrible service I waited for twenty minutes for a service member to take my order while White customers walked in and were served immediately as I waited. I had to walk out and try somewhere else.

Still and will always be a place to be and have that nice drink with good customer service, easily accessible, wheelchair accessible entrance. Well spaced tables with all COVID protocols observed

If you are a fan of the Grand Prix then this is the only place in Mombasa which shows live car racing. It offers live bands on wensdays and good music through out the weekend.
