Had brunch here the other day! Airy spacious restaurant, service was great. Food was all fresh with great quality ingredients but unfortunately it just didn’t suit my taste. I think everything could be amped up in terms of seasoning and spice. TLDR It’s very adapted to the local palette lol ♂️♀️ Salt and pepper tofu - Good firm tofu. Batter wasn’t crispy enough and came to our table already soggy :( Interesting that the seasoning is on the side. Literally there’s so many other modern Asian places that does this better Chicken lettuce cups - I loved the addition of crispy wonton crackers here! Chicken was kinda bland. Satay grilled squid - Really great squid, not rubbery, very soft and chewable. Loved the lime sauce. Though not sure how it was a “satay” like it didn’t come on a stick??? Very confused lol Twice cooked pork belly - Honestly loved this! Fave dish of the day. No faults :) Great job Duck salad - Super fresh ingredients. Duck had a great texture! Some suggestion would be to add more dressing as it was a little dry. Also the sesame rice cracker was really stale :( Wish I could like this more but ya it was simply not a bop
A modern take on classic Vietnamese dishes. Vibrant atmosphere and good service. I tried the Pho on my first visit (I know, the obvious choice). The seasoning/taste was actually slightly different to many pho's I have had in the past. Unfortunately my palate is not refined enough to be able to tell you what the difference is. The main point - the taste of the broth is clean and refreshing, and maybe slightly on the sweeter side. The beef slices were cooked just right. Overall a delightful experience. Prices are on the higher side for Vietnamese food, but worth the refinement and experience. The customer service was impeccable. There are a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks offered. I enjoyed the lychee mocktail. Very busy, so recommend booking ahead.

Been here so many times and I will always go back! Originally came a few times when it was up the road from it's current location, and have been a few more since it's move! Staff are always lovely, the owner and his wife are always around and up for a chat with their guests. Food is incredible! This is the place my boyfriend and I have committed to try everyone on the menu at least and everything has been delightful. My only tiny criticism is that the 'Gà Rán' Fried Chicken Bites entreé potentially needs a little more flavour/seasoning, but seriously the smallest of notes. Quality of food is insane and the value for money is great. I brought my group of friends here and they are all Ngon converts! Took some awesome photos of the food for my food blog as well @b.n.eats :D

Nice Vietnamese restaurant to visit. The service was the standout of the night as we received our food quickly and the waiter even confirmed an order for a person who wasn’t with us at the time of ordering, which was lovely. The restaurant is nicely designed and has a lot of interesting features, but the main letdown was the upstairs gym, whereby weightlifters dropping their weights sounded like bombs being dropped. It would’ve been nice if there was a sign to warn customers, as I know it’s not entirely preventable. The food was exciting, especially the prawns with young rice, and the sizzling beef (see video). However, I found my garlic and ginger prawn to be slightly lacking flavour and seasoning. Overall a good place to take the family.

4.5 stars - amazing place with nice vibes and lovely staff, definitely one of the top viet restaurants in southside however dishes can be quite pricey. We tried: ◇ steamed rice rolls - super fresh although does lack a bit of flavour in the sauce ◇ pork belly - quite on the salty side, would recommend sharing as it is heavy ◇ beef cheek curry - also recommend sharing, meat falls apart so easily, delicious! ◇ duck spring roll - has a very strong duck gamey taste, not a lot of meat in it but still lovely ◇ panna cotta - can't really taste the coffee flavour, really sweet but still enjoyable ◇ pandan creme brulee - amazing! Strawberries balances out the rich flavour, so smooth and creamy ◇ iced coffee - spectacular, if it had a bit more coffee flavour to it would be
Dined in at Ngon Brisbane was quite disappointed with the food. We started with the young rice prawn - Prawn was flavorless and therefore likely frozen. Overall flavor was ok, the mayonnaise did a lot of the heavy lifting. The combination stir-fry was incredibly salty, but at the same time flavorless. It tasted like they don't season the individual components and rely instead of that salty sauce to carry the dish. The crispy pork was similar - overly salty with a fairly boring salad on the side. Overall the atmosphere at Ngon is good, but the food has gone downhill over the years.

The restaurant's name is Vietnamese for 'delicious' and fitting for the experience I had tonight. I had the sizzling beef, curry duck, shredded beef, pork belly, salted squid, and lychee drink. Everything was presented nicely, tasty and service was timely and pleasant. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant appears to market more for the immediate suburban demographic, meaning, if you want traditional Vietnamese cuisine then look elsewhere. Would I go back? I prefer traditional Vietnamese cuisine so this is not my first pick, but if I was invited here, I wouldn't be mad either. Not quite 4 stars but close enough. Tip: From a glance, the table with the window view at night is refreshing and dazzling.
Great food, fresh, authentic, good portion sizes - amazing flavours - chefs cook with passion and authenticity. Good selection of drinks - cocktails and beers on tap - non alcoholic drinks also - something for everyone. Great venue, not cramped, nice modern decor - the lanterns are adorable! Great service, attentive - even during a power outage on Friday night they seamlessly served their clients and ran around trying to fix a problem that was out of their control. They were professional in a very stressful situation. You must try this venue if you like Vietnamese cuisine - you won’t be disappointed as this family business will treat you like your part of their family!
TLDR: Pretty good Vietnamese fair! As someone familiar with Vietnamese cuisine Ngon Brisbane wasn't too bad! The service was friendly and fast, the Vietnamese Coffee I had was on point, and the food was good. My Pho was dark and rich, perhaps a bit darker than I'm used to. I'm not sure what made it deeper - but it felt like there was more star anise and black cardamom present rather than a richer beefier flavour. The fillings were fine, if a little dry/overcooked. My wife's roast pork salad with rice was also ok. The familiar spices for the roast pork shone through and were tasty. If I could go another half star I would - this is a 4.5 star venue!
We only ordered two dishes. The pho had a clean flavoursome broth, generous servings of beef but some were dry and over cooked. There wasn’t much noodles and were mostly broken into small pieces which was quite hard to eat. I would also prefer a combination of tripes, tendons or even beef balls but there was only one choice on the menu - Beef Noodle Soup. Next up, the rice paper roll wasn’t too bad, except for the fact that the peanut hoisin sauce was quite watered down and runny. I thought the pricing was a bit pricer than your usual Vietnamese restaurant especially with the portion sizes.
We tried their food stall at Night Feast in New Farm and enjoyed the food so much, decided to give the restaurant a try. Was well worth it. Portions were large, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was delicious. Had a good-sized crowd for lunch on a Tuesday. Great location, too. It's just tough to find a place to park on the street. To be expected in Paddington.

Great, friendly service. Super fresh and tasty ingredients. Large serving sizes. Ordered a special menu item soup, and a Ban xeo (not vego) so delicious. The dipping sauce actually has balanced heat, sweetness, tanginess. Love it

The Wonton soup I ordered was absolutely amazing. It was a delightful blend of pork, minced beef, and vegetables in a flavorful broth. The vibe and view were also fantastic, offering the choice to sit either outside or inside with a wonderful street view. The only thing I missed and would recommend adding is serving the soup in a hot pot to maintain its warmth until it's finished.

Came here Saturday night with some friends, had a wonderful time! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic. Super clean. Great view. We had the ‘special’ spicy beef noodle soup. Oh wow. It was so good. We also had the normal beef noodle soup, which was also delicious. Super fresh and tasty. The pork belly rice paper rolls with peanut sauce were also a favourite, super crunchy from the pork belly and fresh. The lemon grass mojito was the best! We will definitely be back!
What an exceptional venue. We have tried to get a booking over the past months but due to work and other commitments it didn’t happen but it was worth the wait. The service was outstanding and the decor was so comfortable and welcoming. Our meals and drinks were first class. Very highly recommended and a must visit if you appreciate fine Vietnamese food. 28/01/23 - Had another great meal in their new venue. Quality and service is spot on. We had the added bonus of a live lion dance to celebrate the Lunar New Year - so much fun.
My new favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Brisbane. Quality and taste is amazing and the servings are generous. Staff are great and happy to accommodate changes for my partner's allergy to mushrooms. Great lunch specials including half Bahn mi, Pho and spring rolls so you get a taste of all your favourites. It's a lot of food so don't snack before you go!

Ngon is a hidden gem for Vietnamese cuisine. The authentic flavors, friendly staff, and fresh ingredients make it a must-visit. I enjoyed the generous portions and wide menu variety. Whether you're craving fragrant pho, flavorful salads, or tasty vegetarian options, this restaurant has something for everyone. Especially, their vegan dishes are worth trying. I highly recommend it for a genuine Vietnamese dining experience

On Friday night we had the best meal delivered by knowledgeable, helpful team of professionals. Whilst waiting for our meals the power went off (likely from the flooding that Brisbane experienced on week leading up to this) but it didn’t dampen our spirits. After a short time the team were able to restore power. The bugs in black bean sauce were sooo amazing (we failed to get a photo it was so good). Cocktail Hello Hanoi was the winner but the truth is we were the winners after the great dinner!
My son and I love this type of cuisine and so thought we'd give it a try since we live in the area. We both ordered the chicken Pho soup. Wasn't very nice. We've tried a few about town but this one was extremely weak in flavour, almost like a packet chicken broth, not very fragrant at all like others we've tried. Wasnt cheap either. Won't be returning.

I can't commend this restaurant enough. The setting is lovely (they recently moved only down the road on Given Terrace) and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Now for the food - it is delicious. An incredible experience of Vietnamese cuisine that still somehow feels familiar and suits every occasion. My personal favourite is the duck curry, although there isn't a single meal I don't enjoy. Works for both dine and take away. Recommended!
Really good restaurant! I had the green papaya salad and tried the vegan BBH, both of which were really excellent. However the best meal of the night was the pandan creme brulee, which was exceptional. It's an amazing vibrant green and that colour really pops with the beautiful, fresh red strawberries on top. The restaurant also has an interesting wine list and very friendly staff.

Ngon is undoubtedly the best Vietnamese restaurant in Brisbane’s north. The food is absolutely divine and the team consistently provides service with a smile, even when you can tell they are run off their feet. I loved the food so much, I started getting them to cater for my work events. Luckily I’ve moved further away so the food isn’t hurting my waistline as much, though it might be a tad too late. ❤️
Great Vietnamese food! I’ve been a few times and have really enjoyed it every time. The only reason this isn’t getting five stars is the value we received tonight with the banquet. As a group of two I wouldn’t recommend getting it, just order your own meals, they serve larger portions for both the small and large plates when you order off the menu. Yum though so wasn’t too mad!
The place has a nice vibe to it. The staff are friendly and accommodating, especially with variations to the menu items. I ordered egg noodles with chicken. It was pretty good but I felt that it could have been much better if the proportion of noodles to vegetables was much higher.

The absolute best Vietnamese food I have ever tried, I travel to Paddington from Ipswich just to get my Vietnamese fix. Have been here multiple times and has never once let me down with the quality! Owners and their workers are super lovely people. Highly recommended the lemongrass chicken and the dumplings!

Just moved into the area and am chuffed to have Ngon in my local. Delicious food, full of flavour and well priced. Tonight we tried the Pho Bo, Duck My Way, Fish of the day (deep fried snapper(?) with a sweet & sour sauce) and Chicken Salad. Will certainly be back to try the other dishes …
This is more of your upper class Vietnamese. Surprisingly the Pho is very good. Had their duck dish as well which was ok. Their friend ice is a must try and it's completely different to what's I've had in the past where it's shaped like a ball.

Amazing food! The best Vietnamese in Brisbane. Came here about about 3 weeks with friends and we got the banquet & donuts. Well the photos speak for themselves, absolutely incredible! It was a busy night but the team still got the food out in good time. Will be back for many more feasts!
Great place to eat with friendly staff, easy access and a wide variety of drinks and dishes on the menu. Highly recommend the duck curry, which comes with a side of rice. Nice environment with good ambience.
