Northcote High School, although looking very professional and prestigious, is horribly organised. Uniform is too much of a priority to the school. Students are sent home to change when wearing incorrect uniform, although it is important to wear uniform, surely the education of a student is more important. The school previously said that the new uniform would be cheaper and better than the previous uniform. However the price of the skirt alone went from $80 to $100. And the fabric is not very nice either (don't ask why i know about female clothing). Students have been stressing over exams. A big factor is due to the fact that the exam time table wasn't released until a week before the exams. students could not prioritize efficiently due to this. During 2013, Northcote High School closed off a male toilet for the majority of the year. leaving only 2 bathrooms available for use, however one of which would usually be locked, and the other would have no locks on the stall doors. Due to the closed off area, students would also have to walk around the main building or across the canteen and atrium to reach any classes behind the main hall. In conclusion the school has a decent education however I believe the school prioritizes reputation over education.

This school has to be one of the most dissapointing school's around the area. The student's who go here lose their sense of identity, because no one is willing to accept "different" opinions. The bullying system here is outrageous and the curriculum isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be. They also put too much focus onto the schools uniform and image instead of the wellbeing of the student's in this school. The teacher's are biased and act upon their emotions instead of looking at something in a more rational matter. They also provide little to no help for student's with needs of special care and attention, making them easy victims to bullying. I know people who have been subjected to this type of harassment, and no one has done anything about it. (They have reported it to the staff members on countless occasions.) I would also like to add that, if you are part of the LGBTQ+ community, do not go here. Despite the schools efforts to seem open minded, the students are largely closed minded, along with a few of the teachers. With the story of the autistic child getting bashed, it really shows that this school will do anything to make their image seem perfect.

The school got the chaps and I in shambles. Through only admirable maintenance of the infamous A-block toilets and there being too many School-Assessed-Coursework or SACs. It is at best interest for the school to consider the following suggestions with utmost respect. It is imperative that the school obtains an underwater hockey academy for those who wish participate in this growing A-class sport. In addition, Northcote High School should also attain in forming an Ice yachting squad to compete in Australian events as the ever decreasing climactic conditions.

Disgraceful school that is not only encouraging, but directly forcing children to talk about gender and coerce them into believing that they are confused and then suggest that they need to potentially think about transitioning. All whilst keeping this secret from the parents. The principal and every single coordinator and teacher needs to be sacked, if not criminally punished. I will be visiting the local police station and make a direct complaint about the school and won’t stop till every staff member is removed, and replaced.

Huge thanks to Mr. Griffiths to his contribution to me and my friend making a cult around a strand of grass in a bottle. Only reason for not 5 stars is the fact that the school is haunted by a 400 year old deformed sloth that's slower than the NBN and sends people to Hell, and also the IT guys know less about IT than a sponge does. This school has an over-exaggerated emphasis on school uniform. An example that epitomises this, is when my friend had forgotten her mask upon going to class, a requirement indoors at the time due to covid prevention measures. She was then told get one from the office. When she arrived at the office she was denied a mask and told to leave and put a school shirt on before asking for one again. This school's priorities are utterly horrendous.

i wish there was a zero star rating i really do. dont come here unless you're prepared to pay about 2.5 million dollars a year on constantly changing uniform. you could get all a's in class but a 0.2 GPA for talking once in class. if you ever wear a hoodie its straight to detention. thank you for reading this is my honest opinion i would consider fitzroy if i where you

this school is decent but they care to much about uniforms and weather your shoes are an exact shade of black. if not, community service. the teachers a decent but there are a few who are the best teachers ive ever met. one of them is Mr Hamit hes the best an absolute lad its definatly not the best school

The worst school.I was 'bullied' by four teachers, one of them even stated they hated me to my class whilst I wasn't there.The uniform is horrible.The uniform is more important to the school than the education.I do not suggest you send your child here.

I really don't know what the school is like nowadays.. many years ago (early 2000s) Northcote High School was labelled one of the best state schools. The teachers I met were all amazing and very supportive of all students.

Northcote spends 1000's of dollars on big TV's just to tell the time, and doesn't use money on facility's at the school like Northcote's 1 boys toilet. they care more about image then practicality

This school works well for 90% of students but is not willing to innovate in its teaching methods for anyone who fits outside the norm. In other words it gets the job done, for most people.

I was going to enrol my boy here next year as I’m in the area but definitely won’t be anymore. I just want him to get a normal education and work out who is wants to be by himself.

Service was good but food made me sick!! Me and my daughter (megan) had food poisoning for DAYS after. Next time I will be expecting a free or AT LEAST discounted meal

I went to N.H.S back in 1982/3 was the BEST SCHOOL ever the Principal Mr ISRALE was more than just a Principal he was a friend a MENTOR
