I chose Northcote Lawyers to assist me with the legal aspects of conveyancing properties on behalf of others. I have also utilized them as conveyancers for many of my investment properties in the Northern suburbs. The best thing about NL is that they don't ask too many questions. If you are paying them they are very happy to bend the rules in your favor which means you can make quite a good profit without the problems of having to include the actual vendor in the sale. They also do not insist on due diligence, ID checks or the vendors directions on proceeds of sale and the like. Perfect if you are planning financial abuse of your partner or other vunerable family members. 5 stars!

I had a dispute with my Grandmother's will last year, they sorted the house issue out but there was also some money in her bank account. Northcote L&A asked if I wanted to pay to have this sorted out in advance for $4000 and pay that as well as the initial cost for the house so I agreed. Then I never heard back from them despite several emails so I essentially paid $4000 for nothing. I would say do not use these guys, but if you absolutely insist then DO NOT pay them in advance.

I can't recommend this law firm. I have an issue with their billing practices as I was sent a bill for a 'free initial meeting' 3 months after the fact. At no point in the initial meeting was I told I would be charged and I was not provided with a list of their costs until I recieved the quotation the next day. They were also considerably more expensive then the law firm I eventually decided upon using.
