Depending on how the day's weather you can either see more or less of an animal. On cool and cloudy days where most animals are comfortable you'll see them more often outside than in but if its warm out don't expect too much cause again these are cold climate animals. Overall very cute animals, very informative and great experience.

Love San Diego zoo and all the exhibits..can't go wrong. Like going towards later in afternoon less busy and animals more active especially big cats! Good COVID protocols..great exercise..only downside right now is indoor stuff closed and some things can't access due to covid but still a great time

Great collection of animal ambassadors from around the world. We were lucky to see the maned wolf from the morning bus tour. The anteaters and polar bears were very active when we arrived via the skyfari.

I would go around 1pm-2pm. Most of the animals are relaxing in the morning. They were starting to be more active when I started to leave and more people were starting to show up. Some spots were closed for construction or other reasons.

What a blessing to see all these animal in a world class zoo trying hard to create a thoughtful environment for their animal friends. The zoo is clean and well maintained. . Friendly for mobility challenged, but very large and hilly.

One of my favorite places in all of San Diego. These polar bears are always active and fun to watch, plus there are great interactive exhibits teaching about climate change and the how it is effecting this magnificent species.

Beautiful, informative and well worth a full day visit. Highlights for me, included Polar Bears, and Snow Leopards, Scripps Aviary, and Hippos. Stores are expensive, particularly food, so plan accordingly.

San Diego zoo is the best zoo I can recall ever taking the time to visit. Everything is clean and have so much to see. Take 2 days if u visit u can't do it all in 1 day!

Decent area to see polar bears. Areas are roped off so people can filter through one-way and still keep distance. Play areas there are obviously blocked off.

San Diego zoo is always an awesome and enjoyable time. Even the restaurants had good food, far better than eg Disneyland. Super nice and helpful staff too.

This is part of the zoo, and a walk that includes different habitat types from Africa to Center St. It is an absolute must to do this walk.

Had a great time at the zoom with fam. Covid19 protocols were in place and it was not too crowded given that we decided to go on a sunday.

I love it, it's hard to see them due to weather hot, they like to hiding in cold cave. But we had chance to see them and huge!!!!

Huge Polar bears that you can view from below the water line. Amazing to watch them dive for fish thrown in from their keepers.

I wait but could not see. If the Weather is hot they wait in the Inn. If you want to see them, you shouldn’t go on afternoon :)

Going to the Zoo is always so relaxing. The San Diego Zoo is one of the very best zoos in the country.

Very empty San Diego with stay at home orders from our Governor, and 9 PM curfew. Ghost town...
