Northridge Academy High school is a gem. I should know. I have been teaching there since 2015. From the beginning of my time there, I could tell that the place was different, in a good way. It has an atmosphere of positivity. The students are incredibly friendly and caring. Fights and discipline problems are virtually nonexistent. The population of students with special needs is higher than most comparable schools and the reason is pretty simple, NAHS has an award-winning record in terms of servicing students with these needs. NAHS is a place that I sincerely enjoying coming to every morning. And, this is the first time I have been able to say that in my 17+ years of teaching. I feel like the students have a better chance of being successful at this high school because the student population is around a thousand. This means that they receive more one-on-one counseling, they don't get lost in the crowd, we pretty much know every face we see. This school is a family, and well-deserving of that description I began with: a gem.

I had a lovely time, nice people, and lovely staff. It was all going good until my younger brother was threatened in a certain fashion by one of the staff. Not to mention that he almost got jumped by a few student, but neither the principal nor the vice-principal took action. I do recommend a different school that'll take action against these kinds of things.

this school doesnt have many electives that arent clubs, and the teachers always seemed annoyed. Especially Mr.arias who always feels the need to make his problems everyone else’s.
