Where do I start… liars. Complete liars. My poor gorgeous cat had to be put to sleep due to a tumour and kidney failure. Trusted them to make sure my cat would be cremated and treated properly. Instead the people filled her forms out all wrong. To be cremated with other animals to not be returned to us. When I had to call them because my cat had not been sent home yet (nearly two weeks). I had to call. While “they where on the phone to Patch and Purr” and they told me they would call me back. They clearly already new what they had done. Then. Two hours later I get a call telling me what had been done. Oh but of course I’d get a refund. Like that makes it better. When I told them how does this happen. Can we see the paper work they told me the paper work did not exists anymore. When I asked them for Patch and Purrs phone number they said they had way to know who was in the wrong and Patch and Purr would call me right after our phone call to talk about my now mixed cat, possibly not my cats ashes can be delivered again, “they where back on the phone with them.”This did not sit well with me so I called Patch and Purr. They had the paper work. We where never getting my baby girl back, they didn’t even have my details so I don’t know why they told me she was getting delivered the next day. Patch and Purr gave me all the information and care I needed. I cannot thank Renée from Patch and Purr enough for her amazing help that is an ongoing investigation. This vet has made an error that cannot be fixed. They also lied to me. I was aware they where not being truthful. They say they feel just as sad as i do over this. No you don’t at all. And it’s insulting to say so. You’re upset cause you got caught out. I will not stop this fight. I will not let this horrible situation happen to anyone again. Please do not go to this place. They are not to be trusted.
My cat had chronic issues and my vet recommended that we transfer her to NEVS overnight for minitoring. The nurse on duty called me telling me that my cat had arrived and was in a very bad way and could die overnight. I told them that I was aware and we were giving her a chance to ride this through and see if she would improve the next day. She said "you know her figures are really bad right so they are not going to come down no matter how long you wait?" Then said to me I could just come and get her and I would not have to pay the $350 overnight fee. I told her my vet transferred her to them for a reason and we just want to see how she goes. She said "oh well that's your choice but you will need to sign the authority and payment acknowledgement by email and the next day someone will call you and you will have to pay before she gets transferred back to the vet." I said ok and signed the email form. Then the following day at 5:58am a nurse called me. She told me she's leaving now and that another nurse would call me to take payment when the clinic opens. She didn't tell me how much cat was, I had to ask. Then at 730am on the dot I was asked to make payment and when I told this nurse that I was busy with school run, I was hassled until I paid. While they hassled me to make payment because "they had to get her transferred asap" at 730am, my cat didn't arrive back at my vet till 11am that day. I felt that the entire time they were focused on whether I could make payment and actually didn't care about my cat at all. At no time did they volunteer info about how my cat was. I had to probe. In my opinion the staff I dealt with were not compassionate at all and were quite rude. If I can help it I would never use their services again.
Will never visit this place again!!! Came home early this morning after work to find our cat quite unsteady on her back legs and having just recently moved to the Northern Beaches I started searching for a tick but found nothing. I called this place to seek some advice and they said to bring her in. We arrived 30 minutes later very concerned for her well being and after the nurse checked for ticks, she got the night vet to take a look at her. After performing a series of routine tests he told us he was 95 percent sure she didn't have a tick but had suffered a brain injury either through being hit by a car or an aneurysm or stroke!! He then started suggesting treatment that started in the minimum of 1000 to 1500 dollars with no guarantee of success or he could give her some pain relief and we could seek a second opinion from our regular vet the next day. We opted for the pain relief and took her to our regular vet who said they were 95 percent sure it was a tick as all the symptoms pointed to just that. They found a tick in between her toes on her back legs and have treated her accordingly. The Northside Emergency Vet claim to be quite the experts in the field of tick detection and treatment on their website given their location close to an area renowned for tick problems, but I would venture to say they are just in the business of making vast sums of money from distraught pet owners. Like I said before, we will NEVER use their services again!!
I called simply requesting a repeat of a script for my 25year old cat's thyroid medication. I explained that he had already missed several days worth at that stage as I was unable to afford the medication until I had finally been paid that night, however was concerned that he was beginning to show obvious signs of deterioration. They said they would not issue the medication without performing a full consultation on him at after hour rates of $365 minimum. Plus the cost of the medication at $100. They have his history on file and I offered to bring with me half a dozen empty bottles proving he has been on that exacted medication for 6+months now. However they refused and said if i wasn't in a position to pay them the $500 that night I would have to wait till the morning and go to my regular vet to obtain the medication. Tee are not talking a drug of abuse here, nor are we talking a drug that an animal ever ceases to require once treatment has begun. They agreed but still insisted on a ridiculously expensive consultation prior to re-prescribing an already expensive medication. FAR from the empathetic and understanding approach of any vet I've ever spoken to in my life. Seemed more interested in money than an animals well being.
We brought our dog in at 10pm on New Years Day as she was having trouble breathing. She stayed 2 nights then came back a couple of days later for more scans. This was my first experience of any sort of pet emergency and I can’t speak highly enough of all the staff. She was ultimately diagnosed with congestive heart failure and provided ongoing medication. Tom managed her the first night, he provided constant information and was very professional in communicating the critical condition she was in that first night. I have no doubt his actions that night likely saved her. Helen and Chloe were great at answering all our questions on the phone. I’m sure they were very busy (public holiday weekend) but took all the time we needed to explain all the options. Jody did the follow up tests and again took lots of time to talk us through everything. We must have phoned about various things a dozen times over 4 days and the phone was always answered immediately. When we had questions after discharge they were more than happy to organise for us to speak with one of the vets mentioned above. It isn’t cheap (thankfully pet insurance though), but the care was amazing.
Be careful of these guys, they prey on people who love their pets and charge a fortune for keeping your pet alive and not really giving you great information on whether they will make it or not. To put your loved one on life support will cost you something like $2500 a day and they won't guarantee anything. The cost to them to do this is something like $100 a day when you count in how much they pay their juniors and the leases on their equipment, which while reasonably sophisticated is not ICU at north shore hospital. It's wrong that they charge so much and prey on people's emotions as they do. I've spoken to Vets who have left the place because they can't handle the pressure of asking someone to pay that much when they know their is a good chance the animal won't live. They all are nice about it, but the cost is completely out of whack with the real cost. They are making a bomb based on people being desperate to keep their much loved pets alive...it's wrong. They know it. People who have worked for them know, so they leave and complain. They are technically great. Morally....suspect.
Today this morning at 3:00am my dog ate a chocolate bar with raisins. So me and my boyfriend had to rush her to the vets. At the beginning they acted fast but they were impolite and far from understanding! I’m not financially stable and am 16 years old so I was struggling with payment. It seemed they cared more about money than my dog. They were rude and had an attitude, I was under a lot of stress and I didn’t know what to do. Instead of trying to help and explain the situation they just got upset that we came without being prepared to pay straight up. We were going to make sure that they would get their payment but despite that they got upset and talked in a disrespectful manner and continued to go walk off and talk horribly behind the doors when I was in a panic I’m 16 just trying to save my dog but they just wanted money I called before coming and their was no discussion about how payments worked not informing me about immediate payment afterwards. I understand they were tried but the attitude was rude and unprofessional.
Ohhhh they were so caring!! The place is full of good vibes and so welcoming. Together with our regular vet, St ives vet, they saved my boy who got tick paralysis. On 28.12 night, he started retching or clearing his throat and I never thought of it as tick bite symptoms and only early morning took him to sash North Ryde. No Dr on site (!!!!) and triage lady said all good after vital check-up, but told us to come for 7am for Dr. We decided to wait St ives vet to open at 8am, extra one hour wait. At St ives vet, Dr Sally immediately found a tick on him asa I explained the symptoms!! From there, everybody did their best with the utmost care and attention and saved my boy, Bobo!!! Sorry to say this but SASH place was rather deserted and giving out not so caring feelings... We picked up Bobo this morning, new year's day, the place was so vibrant, full of warmth with everybody working so happily for several dogs and their owners at reception. They are all in good hands of a great team!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!
Extremely disappointing…. Arrived after being given wrong directions … only to have my dog shuttled away … shall point out … she is a service dog.. told them this … they did not care …. Asked if that was my dog I could hear crying a nurse said yes she is distressed. I asked to see her and was told no! Following a traumatic discussion with the nurse then vet… it was agreed my dog was too sick not to stay overnight. Though… it was not until I made it extremely obvious was about to make a scene in their cold reception area… I was allowed to see her, say goodnight and let her know she was staying. She was transferred elsewhere the next day Appreciate working with animals and their people can be stressful …. Though to made to feel as if hers and my emotional needs were ignored and more interested in monetary factors. Obvious shall never recommend this facility and have advised my referring vet the same
I am actually disgusted with the attitude of the vet, and the way I was treated during an emergency midnight visit with my dog. I experienced an unprofessional and rude vet who, I felt, really was not bothered to find out why my dog suddenly fell ill, his history, nor anything else that would assist him. We were sent home 20 minutes and $420 later with palliative-type injections, and no medication to relieve his symptoms. She recommended immediate BOAS surgery, with no discussion to be had otherwise. This was her recommendation, and that was final! She was argumentative when I quested her recommendations and just would not discuss it further. My dog actually had a wasp sting in his mouth, and thankfully he made it to see our regular vet the next day. 24 hours later and he almost fully recovered. This vet, in my opinion, needs more training, including social skills training.
My family went here after my dog quickly went down hill. I had called a few times beforehand and they spoke to me too. They quickly took my dog in. My dad and I had to stay in the waiting room. My dog was so unwell, I wish they hadn't taken him away, I would have preferred to stay with him while they checked him out. But they brought him back to us once they did what they can so we could say our goodbyes. They let us wait in a room with the dog for a long time while we waited for my mum to arrive so we could all say goodbye before we had him put down. The staff were patient and kind. They had a good and quick service for the ashes, fur cut and paw prints. I really appreciated their kindness. My only wish was that they let me stay with my dog while they were checking him out. Thank you for helping us though.
We were unlucky to bring our dog there. He was in bad condition after tick bite. These so called doctors kept him under sedatives for 1.5 days WITHOUT providing him any care or attention (Sedatives slow down recovery process and they wanted to keep him for as long as possible). They also did not want to release our dog back to us and told us they will put our dog down but will not give it back to us. But we were strong, argued with them for half a day and got our dog back. He suddenly got much better after that. These people are not doctors but robbers. They only want to charge you as much as possible and do as much as they can to keep your pet as long as possible. This mean they slow down recovery process i.e. do harm to your pet. Keep away from them
My dog Mollie suffered a bite that resulted in an anaphylactic reaction that culminated in a life threatening bout of pancreatitis. I rushed her to Northside on a Sunday morning. She was in a bad way. The staff were amazing. They explained everything to me and kept me fully informed. They were happy to take my calls late at night and early in the morning. As a dog owner all my life, I’ve seen the inside of veterinary clinics and hospitals more times than I care to remember. At least in this case, Northside Emergency Veterinary Clinic made this experience as comfortable and stress free as possible. I hope that I never need their service again; but if I do, I won’t hesitate to take one of my much loved animals there.
Whilst the vets here are very good at their job, the prices are unjustifiable. $2500 for the first 12 hours of life support, then $800 per hour after that. The vets tried to make us keep our pet here for three days. We only took our pet here because we had no choice -after hours on a Sunday- as soon as Monday morning came we took our pet to our normal vet. Our pet was at our normal vet for 12 hours, which cost in total $160. Only come here if you have absolutely no choice, as this vet practice undeniably financially exploits people who are at their most vulnerable. Ensure you seek a second opinion wherever possible.
Our mini dachshund, Frank was rushed up to NEVS after experiencing bloat. They took him in and looked after our little pup. He was admitted for 24 hours and during those 24 hours we received updates at every hand over which gave us peace of mind during a very stressful time. The staff were lovely and showed the upmost professionalism, special shout out to Vet Christina who admitted Frank, you were amazing and so understanding. We are grateful for the care he received, if we were ever to find ourselves in an emergency we would definitely take our dogs there again. Thank you!!!
Came home after an evening out to find my boy had eaten FIVE TUBS of commercial play doh ♀️ Brought him in around 1.30-2am and we were seen very quickly. Dr Emily quickly picked up my boy was very anxious and gave me the choice to either have him go back with staff or stay with me to induce vomiting. Very considerate! Bloods were taken seamlessly (no easy feat with my boy!) and we were discharged with a full report within an hour. The fee for after hours care was surprisingly affordable and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back in an emergency. Thank you, team!
The team at Northside Emergency Vet Services are absolutely phenomenal, I am on the Northern Beaches on holiday and my toy cavoodle has unfortunately had 7 paralysis ticks in a week ,and between Northside and Mona Vale Vet they have gone above and beyond to not only help Sadie but also to bring my stress levels down. I am blown away by how efficient and caring each and every member of staff at Northside are, we hope to never visit again but I will forever to be grateful to this beautiful team of people who truly care for animals, and their emotional owners. :)
Between the two of my dogs I’ve been to Northside Emergency Vets 4 times in the last 12 months. Don’t judge me one of my dogs has eating issues! She eats EVERYTHING. I found the vets to be extremely thorough very caring and clear and concise in their diagnosis, they even manage sprinkle a little humour in which is always helpful. I felt there was no unnecessary care or long stays just to make a dollar. Both of my dogs have had great outcomes. And have lived to play another day. I highly recommend these guys.
The most incredible team of professionals we’ve ever encountered! Our cat Winston got sick unexpectedly, from the moment we walked in the doors at 3:30am with a very sick cat, to the following 48 hours of unknown and tests - they were incredible. Constant calls to keep us updated and providing us with thorough information and options at every step. We will forever be grateful for this wonderful team (Dr Emily and Dr Josh and the whole team) and how they cared so well for our cat Winston, thank you!
Absolute sausage factory. They can't wait to upsell you on the much more expensive options. An emergency consult - which you have to sit & wait for - is $294? And that's the beginning of the sting. We've been ripped off by them. Their business model exploits your not having much of an option. They don't give a rat's, it's all about the money & on the unfortunate occasions I've taken dogs to them before I found they couldn't run a bath. Never again, I've found much better around elsewhere.
Could not recommend this place highly enough. Their staff and their specialist veterinarians are just amazing, kind considerate and top of their game. I am careful about where I take my animals for treatment but I have no hesitation going to Northside veterinary specialists. They were literally a lifesaver for my dog who had a severe injury to his right front leg. The care, professionalism and skill of the veterinarians and nurses was just phenomenal and I'm forever grateful to them.
The team here are amazing! Ruslan was in a very bad way and Dr Heather Russell looked after him right away, and was very helpful with my 10 million questions and kept me updated after the procedure. The team at reception were also very kind - I had burst into tears (it was very upsetting seeing Lanlan so sick), and they very kindly looked after me - I really appreciate it! Dr Liz has also been magical with Lanlan’s care - keeping me updated and being patient with my questions.
NEVS staff have taken care of our dog, Franklin, twice. Once after a surgery just to monitor his healing for a few days and once for almost a week with a severe coronavirus. Everyone was so kind and the staff is incredibly communicative! While he was there for almost a week we could communicate with their staff twice a day with updates to see how he was doing. We were even able to visit him, which was wonderful. Highly recommend the excellent staff and care at NEVS!
Our 14 year old Dog ate a bee, swollen face, drooling, hard to walk,.. the vets options were to get an abdominal scan, and a blood test, or put her down. Felt like a money grab. When it came down it. No medication given. Her advise was to feed and water. Even though my dogs face was swollen that she could not eat.. We got charged 1700 for a 20 min consult which was later deducted to 280( still waiting for it in our account). Will not be going to this vet again.
My dog was referred here for an endoscopy. I have been here a number of times with both cats and dogs for everything from ingesting a foreign object to paralysis tick treatment. In my experience the team provides accurate estimates, makes pet insurance claims directly and communicates well consistently. The fees aren’t cheap but are more reasonable than other emergency vets in the area. I wouldn’t take my pet anywhere else in the event of emergency.
These god sent Angels looked after my Frenchie when a big dog tore off the top of his ear late one night. The service was so professional and prompt and he was out in no time. They were honest over the phone and gave me options and saved me hundreds of dollars and were very well priced. I am so grateful for the staff and service here and so glad to know we have somewhere to take our fur children in emergencies. 10 stars out of 5
When I was at my most worried, NEVS took their time and spoke me through everything, they gave me a total dollar amount for what I would be expecting and called numerous times to update me. Everything was done so well and professionally. I cannot fault the care and love they have given my boy. Shout out to Christina who gave the majority of the care and dealt with a very emotional pet parent over a few days. Amazing.
Had to take my 6 week old orphan kitten (Morty) in quite late, around midnight. Heather was amazing, not only in treating Morty, but by patiently answering all my questions and listening to my theories as to what could be causing the pain Morty was experiencing. I mean, that's an amazing bedside manner at any time let alone at midnight. 110% recommended :) Also, Morty is fully recovered and has more energy than ever!
Thank you to Dr Izidora for taking such gentle care of my precious little cockatiel Jolly last Thursday. She was a very sweet funny beautiful gentle little bird. She was my world and i miss her, so sad without her beside me. I would have liked to know exactly what was wrong inside her as i want to know what i could do better next time. 6,689 days of love between us. Loved by her partner forever Belinda xxxx.
Visited with our dog and found the vet to over-service and over-charge by way of "precautionary" x-rays, overnight stay and pet ambulance to return home. All quite expensive and unecessary. Won't be returning. Was going to lodge a complaint with the Vet board but they require a stat dec, haven't come across this before, seems to be an effective way of discouraging complaints against their members. John
The wonderful staff at NEVS cares for our patients when we are not open. Their critical care of our sickest tick paralysis patients has been exemplary. NEVS is now offering wonderful veterinary training such as their ultrasound point of care sessions which are improving all our member vet's level of care. Thanks for your ongoing assistance to the Northern Beaches veterinary community.
My Labrador boy Lazy had a liver failure on Easter Sat 1am and I rushed him to Northside. Within 24 hours in a public holiday weekend they organised ultrasound, X-ray and a major Surgery. The surgery went well. After 2 weeks Lazy returned home happily. They saved his life! It wasn't cheap but the service/equipment was great. I am glad I chose them. Thank you for saving Lazy!
When our dog of 17 years, was actively dying and we asked for the 2 of us to be able to come in to be with her in her last moments (at 4 am, with no one else around) we we told by the nurse on arrival “ oh come on, no- you’re just making my job more difficult”- so I was left outside alone. His tone and manner was disgusting and completely selfish and unprofessional.
Cannot speak more highly of all the professional & caring staff at this wonderful facility. Understanding, excellent communication, and the most-thorough and expert care along our little cat's journey through tick paralysis could not have gone better. If anyone is in doubt about this place I challenge them to find anywhere better WORLDWIDE! Thank you so much!
Can't speak more highly of this practice. They treated the emergency situation with our beloved cat with the same gravity as we did (he's 100% fine now). They took not only his physical needs into consideration, but also his highly anxious temperament, so called us in the night to fetch him once he was out of danger. Really wonderful vets and support staff.
Amazing Veterinary team, everyone here is working hard and highly skilled in communication. They are doing such a great job and do care for the animals. We wanted to say thank you to NAVS team for taking such a good care of our little cavoodle Ella, by the end Ella seems to enjoy all you guy’s company and not be nervous to stay or come back for treatment.
Wow, what an amazing vet clinic. My dog was in and out of Northside in the early hours of the morning and stayed for quite some time. I phone every hour to see how she was going and everyone was so kind, letting me know how she was going. I could see they took good care of her. Yes it’s expensive but very very good care and the specialists are amazing.
We had to let our sweet dog Bai Bai cross the rainbow bridge last night. Dr. Georgia (or possibly Georgina I’m so sorry I can’t remember) was so empathetic, caring and kind. She made myself and my parents feel supported and made Baibai feel safe in his last moments. Please pass our thanks on to her and let her know she is an amazing vet ♥️
Most amazing and loving people I have met super empathetic. My doggo was reunited to me after going for a wonder. The lady’s there gave her all the love and attention she needed until I got there they even patched up one of her boo boos to get her home. Massive thank you to the staff, keep up the great work and have a merry Christmas.
Eugene and the team are amazing. Each time we have taken our Labradoodle there they have efficiently and effectively fixed the problems. The staff have all been very kind and supportive during stressful and vulnerable times. I would recommend them time and time again. Their clinical care is excellent. An enormous thank you from us.
Be prepared to pay.. a lot!! Our little dog became sick on Sunday so we went here because our vet was closed. Yes they are very friendly and know what they are doing..but $740 for a dog with vertigo, $80 for tablets I found later online for $20... is too much. Hate being ripped off, definitely only for emergencies...
We had to send our beautiful Westie Ruby to Rainbow Bridge yesterday. My wife and I would like to thank Lucy and her colleagues at NEVS for their professionalism, care and understanding during this stressful and extremely emotional time. Rest In Peace beautiful Ruby,we’ll miss you more than words can ever say. ❤️
Dr Izi continually goes above and beyond every time we come to visit. She delivers both good and bad news professionally but realistically and understands that animals are truly family. She is truly the best exotic vet we have ever seen and I am so grateful we have access to her on the Northern Beaches. Thank you Dr Izi!!!
Poor. Spent nearly 3 hours on Saturday afternoon waiting for a vet to look at our Labrador. 2 other pet owners couldn't stand the wait, gave up and left before getting to see a vet. If you are going to offer a service you need to have staff, or at least be up front and advise clients what the wait times are likely to be.
My first visit at NEVS about 3-4years ago was great. I again decided to take my Toy poodle Camembert for labour last Saturday. Jesscia, the best vet I’ve ever met, she was very caring for my Cam and her babies. Without her and the amazing team, Camembert may not have made it. Strongly recommend. Caring & professional.
We had an excellent experience with Northside Emergency this evening. We took our dog in for assistance with a tick removal. They were prompt, caring and extremely helpful in a stressful time for us. Special thanks to Alex on the phone, and Kayley for patiently explaining our next steps with such thoroughness.
Was looking after my mates 2 pugs. Ended up with a suspected tick on one of them. Went to see these guys close to midnight and cannot support them enough. These guys are amazing. Whole experience was made very easy and comfortable for both of us!!!. As a non dog owner I can't recommend them enough.
Elizabeth & Team were absolutely amazing! In a time of stress and emotions they were caring, tentative & very empathetic. Their knowledge and understanding and the care that was shown to our beloved girl Strobe was invaluable at a time of need. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Extremely helpful in an emergency. Just like any hospital, there was a longish wait time as my dog didn’t have a serious issue/problem. They gave medicine and advised us of the next steps which we would have to take. Luckily we had puppy insurance so we didn’t have to pay too much.
Thank-you for helping us care for our very sick puppy. Staff were caring, contactable and very helpful during this stressful time. We appreciated the dedication, commitment, and skill. Hope not to need to come back but know if this happens then our loved pet will be in good hands.
The most caring, professional and thorough vets who have helped us now twice in emergencies with our dog. I cannot thank them enough - they are always so warm, friendly and helpful no matter how many times we call or how many questions we ask. I am so glad they are in our area.
Dropped off injured cockatoo here after being directed to them for help with injured wildlife. They fixed the bird at no charge, then returned it to where I had found it. They should be supported for that alone. They also fixed my sick rooster twice at reasonable cost.
Money grabbing & emotion preying business So - $2500 to keep a cat for 2 days with a tick Collaroy Vet offered the same service for $650 with medication included It’s a no brainier to never ever step foot in this Terrey Hills vet again Can’t wait to spread the word ✌️
They do a good job but will charge excessive amounts as they know people will pay. They’ll also add things to the bill that were not necessary or agreed to. My advice would be to only come here if there’s nothing else open, and be prepared for it to bankrupt you.
Very helpful, kind and caring. They treated my dog after she ran into a window and cut herself badly. Not cheap but they are providing a 24/7 service and operared on my dog through midnight. It was a great relief to have someone competent look after my dog.
Thank you to all of the nursing and administration staff who helped return the missing cat we found to the owner. All of the staff were very supportive (despite us turning up at 12am!) and we are very happy to hear that the animal made it home safely!
Seems that some of the negative reviews are magically disappearing! My husband has left a negative review about 6 months ago and it's not there anymore. We had an awful experience at the clinic, they only care about fees but not your pet.
My elderly kitty needed to go here to diagnose a digestive issue. At 13 & a half I was worried but the team at NEVS diadnosed pancreatitis & took such good care of him he's back home now & back to his normal self. I highly recommend them.
Had my Mini Bull Terrier Murphy's hereditary disease heart and kidney tests done by Dr David. Very pleased with Murphy's treatment and outcome. Very pleased with the service and price. Well worth the trip from Newcastle. Thank you …
Friendly, helpful and compassionate staff. The vet treated our dog as if she was her own, was knowledgeable and clear in her explanations. Anticipated costs were clearly set out. Short wait but waiting room was comfortable and had a tv.
Very caring staff. We left our dog there over the weekend and felt like he was in good hands. We had no problems getting constant updates on his condition. Thanks to all the nurses and vets who got our beloved dog back to his family.
They were available in the early hours of the morning and more than happy to attend to a native animal that had been hit by a car and left for dead. They do this knowing that no one will be paying the bill at the other end.
Each and every staff member is committed to looking after their animal patients. They understand and deal appropriately with not only the trauma but the stress and worry of the owner. A wonderful group of professionals!!!
We have had to race our greedy lab up to the team at Northside emergency a number of times after getting into food she shouldnt have and are so grateful to have such caring and professional staff on hand to help us.
Our dog stayed for 5 days after a tick bite. Very professional service with an excellent facility. Twice daily feedback on progress with full details. Very happy with the service and would recommend NAVS to anyone.
Thank you to the team for your empathy and support. Today we lost our beautiful spinx cat, Dr Christina helped us through a very difficult time. would highly recommend this clinic for your your pets care. …
I had to call urgently late at night because of my diabetic cat - Cloe was extremely helpful in her information and instructions, and helped me out greatly. I wouldn't hesitate to contact her again. Thank you!
These guys rock. So many times we've needed their help at strange times and they always accept us and are always lovely. It can be pricey but if you need after hours emergency care there is no better option.
Considerate and friendly service by qualified professional veterinarians help ease the tension for pets and owners alike. Good parking and easy access contributes to minimize time. All wheelchair accessible.
The hospital staff were amazing. And extremly caring . The only reason i gave a 4 star and not a 5 was it was pouring rain and i didnt have any undercover waiting for Howard. Thank you all again. …
The vet that saw us was very caring and also laid out all of the possibilities and allowed us to make the decisions whilst being supportive and proving suggestions appropriately as to care and needs.
Extremely qualified staff in particular anna and Steph (who i dealt with) were very helpful. Both showed great compassion and genuine care for my dog pinpointing a problem that 4 other vets did not.
This place has saved my 11 year old dog on two occasions and given us more time with her! Thank you Northside for your care, attention and expertise! You guys are lifesavers and I am so thankful.
Sadly we had to have our adored cat Skye put to sleep on a long weekend. The kindness from the staff was wonderful and Heather, the vet who we saw was so unbelievably kind and understanding.
Such a great service. They kept us in the loop at all times on how our puppy was going and were very caring and knowledgeable. We can’t thank them enough for the care of our puppy.
Best service, very reasonably priced for a emergency vet and great staff. Gave me frequent updates of how my greyhound was doing after been bitten by a snake. Very recommended.
Had a shocking time. They lost my cat's blood works and then when I asked, wouldn't let me speak to whoever was in charge to raise my concern/complaint. Do not recommend!
Not impressed with our experience here. Was empty when we got there for an emergency but ended up waiting at least 20 minutes before anyone even came out to talk to us.
The team were so lovely and caring with us this morning as we had to put down our beloved family pet suddenly on a public holiday. We appreciate the level of care.
Super friendly, kind, and accommodating 24-hour emergency vet. I took an injured native bird at 8 pm on a Sunday night, and they were wonderful! Highly recommend!
Very impressed by staff and didn’t feel rushed during consultations. Thank-you and great work to vets, nurses and desk staff. Great bedside manners by all.
Expensive, but always there for our cat when she inevitably does something stupid at 1am. Weirdly very little phone coverage up here on any network.
Fantastic staff saw us immediately with our sick cockatoo. Specialists were understand and compassionate highly recommend the vets here
Always friendly and open all hours. They take wounded wildlife and follow up with messages on how they are getting one which is lovely.
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Their first concern was the welfare of our cat. I felt very secure that I put my cat in their care.
They were so professional and caring for my beautiful dog at the end of her life. Highly recommend this practice for an emergency.
A lovely clinic with an extremely attentive and sensitive staff. We're so lucky to be near it for all of our fur baby emergencies!
Can’t thank the team at NEVS enough. Our little Molly was in a bad way thanks to a tick, the care that she received was amazing!
Very impressed with Northside Emergency, they took very good care of my Angora rabbit. Staff were professional and very caring.
Excellent staff... thank you so much for your care and love to our dear doggy. We are so appreciative of the work that you do.
Sam the vet was lovely, kind and caring. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Front nurse was also lovely. Thank you
When your pet needs after hours care, this is the piece to go. Not cheap, but worth it. Great people, very nice!
Wow, had to bring our dog in on Christmas morning to remove a tick. Fully staffed on Christmas day. Thank you.
Great experience and all staff were very knowledgeable and friendly!! Timely updates and empathy for owners!!
Great friendly service, we were kept updated on our pets arrival at 7pm, 9pm and again 7am the next morning.
always a loveing group. very kind hearted and considerate and helped our little boy pass to stop the pain.
Absolute sharks. Stay well away. As other reviews have said, can’t wait to upsell and rip you blind. Zero
Vet handed over our sick dog well. Spoke to us about what needed to be done. They also loved Prince!
Very polite and considerate when our dog, Pudding, escaped and we had to pick him up from NEVS
Great team! Took great care of my unwell dog. Receptionists, nurses and vets are all great.
