A great place to unwind and be close to nature and the new facilities definitely breathe new life to the space. The Bora ring is sacred to the aboriginals and I hope people, as well as future generations look after it. It’s a tiny piece of historical wilderness that deserves to be protected/maintained at its best.

The reserve is relatively small, sandwiched between the Gatway Motorway and Nudgee Catholic Cementery. Access via a good size carpark off Childs Road. We use this as our meeting point for bike rides through the Boondall Wetlands and along Downfall Creek bikepath. More

Lovely walks and relatively intact remnant vegetation. Interesting information boards around the various walking tracks, including significance of the area to First Nations People. Tracks are combination of raised boardwalks and hard gravel, suitable for wheelchairs.

  • Rachel Flowers

Only had a brief stop here. The car park is close to a kids playground and the jetty. There is a foot path that appears to loop around the water too. The road noise is a bit loud from the jetty, but at least there are green spaces like this.

What a great little reserve right by the main highway, discovered by accident in travelling with my husband in a truck for work. Good parking between the rugby club rooms and cemetery. We wandered off for a walk in the reserve. Lovely pond,

so you're nobody someone's obviously got the piano down there would have been a great idea to leave it as it was running someone's obviously pull it apart as well but yeah it's pretty cool actually so I grabbed a stick and started playing

  • Jim Craigen

Took the dog for a walk there. Easy circuit with information boards explaining history of the area including Indigenous, European, even a bit on geological history (30,000 years plus ago). Turtles, birds, fish etc all interesting. Didn't

This has always been a favorite place to go when i need to clear my head and just relax; it's also a favorite place for my kids as they love to feed the many ducks that can be found swimming or waddling around.

  • Matthew Radel

Great water hole with alot of history. The water is full of turtles and tilapia(kind of fish) access is terrible at the time of publishing becouse of road works might have to park in the football club

  • Ady Matt

I have driven right past this spot thousands of times and had no idea this was here. It's definitely not something you would expect to see so close the highway and truck stop.

  • Daniel Taylor

A brilliant little walk, ducks, turtles eals and more in the lake. Board walk tells the tale of first peoples and first settlers. Definitely worth a wonder with the dog More

Nice dog park with a large run. Newly installed playground. 10min circuit walk, mostly flat, through the scrub and around the dam. Plenty of turtles and eels.

  • Richard Townes

Just stopped here to stretch my legs. Seems nice alot better when the lake is full after the rain. Plenty of wildlife even a chicken roaming . A fast one Lol

Beautiful, serene place to stop. Much life living in the water, from turtles with moss growing on their backs, to eels if your lucky enough to see one

  • Jamie Nicholson

Nice simple walk. Generally very quiet. Lots of turtles and fish in the water hole. Offleash dog park. Climbing play area. A Bora ring to view. More

Even with the motorway, it is a very beautiful scenic place. There is a place for a picnic and a playground so it is a great place to take the kids

  • Dave

Recently upgraded with new kids playground and BBQ facilities. Dog park here as well. Across road from Nudgee service centre and take away outlets

  • David Kinne

Waterholes have abundant turtles, fish and waterbirds. Only issue is access problems due to work being done on the Gateway Arterial Road.

  • Linda Ripper

Nice park. Unfortunately lots of roadwork going on lately and is prone to flooding during heavy rainfall.

Road works have limited parking and access for a while yet. Nice open park with a playground and ponds.

Lovely place to visit. Bring headphones to listen to music so your don't hear the roaring motorway...
