In my opinion, this is the best place in San Diego to get wings. The wings all have a spicy, sweet kick (scorpion and honey flavors) and theyre all crispy on the outside with that nice juiciness on the inside. Also, the prices are great on Wednesday nights for half-off priced wings. 10/10 would recommend for late night food.

San diego is the craft beer capital of the world and O'briens consistently has the best variety of top notch craft beers. The service is also great. I havent had the food yet but i was looking at the tables next to me with envy...i would recommend stopping here regardless of what youre looking for. More

Amazing beer, excellent food, and even better service. This place is known for their plentiful craft beer selection ranging from many local favorites to some out of town gems such as pliny the elder and the younger. Also know for the huge soccer fanbase that gathers here when there is a game.

Great selection of beers on draught, especially from the Russian River Brewery. Although it still has that old time dive bar feel except there is no hard liquor being served here. Service may vary depending on the night but they know it doesn't matter as you'll end up coming back anyway.

Consistently the best beer list in San Diego. The food is great with excellent specials. The price point is right on for both beer and food. Servers are all very knowledgeable about the beer list and the food. I have been coming here for 15 years and it just keeps getting better. More

Great selection of beers and above all else, fantastic service. The menu is well rounded and has several items everyone would enjoy. Special shot out to Tori who was our server and was incredible. Definitely a place to hit up if your interested in some good food and good times!

Wonderful, classic beer bar in a fantastic food area of San Diego. If you are lucky enough to get here during SD Beer Week, you will be treated to a truly memorable experience, but their overall tap list and bottle list is very impressive. I cannot recommend this place enough.

  • Hal Jurgensen

Great extensive beer selection, the food is great as well whether you want to eat clean or chow down on some burgers/wings and fries. This is definitely one of the staples of San Diego as far as beer bars go that have an established cult like following. Love coming here!

Unpretentious but well-respected craft beer pub. A "who's who" of craft beer spots. Also surprisingly good bar food. If you think you are a San Diego craft beer aficionado, and you haven't put your time in at O'Briens, then you're not who you think you are, frankly. More

It was a dark Friday 8:30 pm on our way to Tucson from San Diego. My friend and I were both hungry and tired. We ordered two noodle bowls . Great service!!! Delicious noodle!!! A group of young local teens work as employees of the store. Very nice and polite!!!

Eclectic beer selection that makes this place one of the best bars in San Diego. The locals tend to look like coal miners from the beginning of the century that have been hit with an ugly stick. Watch your fingers, or they could bite one off.

Good sports bar with comfort food - one of the well known hangouts in northern San Diego. By the name, you'd think it was an Irish pub, but their fare is more Californian with some regular bar staples like burgers and wings thrown in. Good

That was easily the most flavorful turkey sandwich I've had in years. I had one that might have come close in New York about 8 years ago, but that Tom's Torta I had today was next level. It had a subtle background spicy taste that was not

This bar & grill not only has a great staff, but it also has one of the best beer on tap selections in San Diego. The food is very good too, they have daily specials from beef or chicken tortas, to burgers, spicy tuna sandwiches, almond

Amazing, I've never been fond of 'wings' until now. Had Michele make beer selection for me & was perfect. If you're going out to eat this is a"safe" bet. Man o man I needed to get out.. can't tell you the last time I had such a quality

  • James Gonzalez

Good Irish pub, there are at least 20 beers on tap to choose from, mostly craft. I did not see their bottle menu, beers are on a list with percentage and price. I stopped by here because a nearby restaurant has a gigantic wait list...

Obrien's is fantastic. The food is amazing - never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere and community is also great. No better place to watch a US Soccer match! Plus Fridays are awesome dog nights. Can't say enough good things! More

Great selection of beer on tap. Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. I wish their Buffalo wings were a bit more saucy but they are still good. Go get a pint and a meal you won't be disappointed

I'm updating from 4 stars to 5 because their response to COVID-19 made me feel safe and welcomed. Tables are distanced, masks are required for ordering and going inside to the bathroom.

  • Rick Raimondi

Average service at the bar, food was decent but not cheap. Serves only beer. No compelling reason to go here other than the location. The burger was very good !! Parking is tough More

Finally got to sample Pliny the Younger and it was worth the wait! Tripple IPA with intense flavor and great balance considering the 10.25% alcohol. Think Pliny the Elder on steroids!

  • Jim Gassmann

They have a huge variety of beers and have some unique beers at times. Food wise, they always have great specials. Even though it’s a Pub this place has some really good food. More

  • Jen Powell

Nice place, pretty laid back and good service. Their beer menu is great, but food menu is pretty limited. Not much traditional fare but it's a nice casual place to hang out in.

  • David Duval

Best selection of craft beers in San Diego, top of the line burgers, great soups and even salads! One of the few places honored with Pliny The Younger (in season). More

  • Brady Jass

Nice place . Food and beers and service above the norm. Servers are attentive and lovely. Nice place for a happy hour sit down while the traffic subsides. More

  • Jeremy Netzley

Great beer if your into craft style. No light beer or big box brands on tap. Food is good but not great. Still better than just standard bar eats for sure.

  • Andy Disneylandwithme

Some of the best beers in town. Good burgers and quick bites. Parking is a nightmare, but if you time it right. You are golden. say to check em out!

Burger was delicious. Good beer selection. The parking lot was crazy crowded at Friday lunchtime, so plan to park on the street.

  • Kevin ONeill

One of the original craft beer bars in town and still going strong. Great beer selection and service in a true beer place. More

Some places we don’t like telling people about because seats can be hard to find, but O’Brien’s Pub is the real deal.
