Very surprised with the good reviews here as we've had a bad experience with Suzette. She was nice at the inspection and gave us a date to which we'll get an answer regarding our application, saying it'll get approved in a few days latest. When time came, there was no news, to which we emailed. Fearing that she might have missed our email, we gave her a call and she coldly replied that we'll get an answer on the day but nothing. Next week comes, we gave her a call again, now with urgency as we were approved for another property but would rather have the property we inspected with Suzette. Once again, she said she'll give us an answer end of day and once again, there was nothing from her. "Working" with Suzette was actually very surprising for us as we've only had efficient dealings with other real estate companies and thought to ourselves "maybe we got lucky", but I think we just got unlucky this one time. At the end, we decided to go with the other property with an alternate, more efficient real estate company that approved us within hours after application. Honestly, we wouldn't have cared if our application was declined. We just needed an answer. 1form notifies us of our application being read so we know it was received. I think the worst part of this experience is the false promises of communications, keeping us in limbo, and frankly the coldness received from Suzette. We hope your experience with O'Brien Real Estate was better than ours. All the best.

If I could give no stars I definitely would... I do not recommend this real estate agency as all. I am so surprised to see they have such a high rating so I thought I should share my experience. We rented through O’Brien’s (formerly Harcourts) last year. Application process was slow and painful, we had to follow them up multiple times to ask how our application was going (should have taken that as a warning). Once approved we moved into the property and within 6-8 weeks we were told the owner has now decided he wanted to sell. The owner did agree to some rent free for the inconvenience of two open inspections per week leading up to an auction but even getting the rent free was a big deal – the sales agents and property management don’t seem to talk between themselves and the property manager would call but not leave a message, then ask why I had not returned her call. We ended up moving out when the property sold (8 months into our 12 month lease) on agreement with the purchaser but the whole process was so difficult and draining and I will never rent through Suzette again, the way she speaks to tenants is absurd.

During my tenancy with O'Brien, I really appreciated their candid and professional manner when showing properties and managing tenant queries. I was particularly impressed with them when I, unfortunately, had to suddenly move interstate; Suzette handled house inspections and organising a new tenant efficiently whilst also providing me with accurate information regarding what I needed to do before vacating the property. Not once during my tenancy did I feel neglected or ignored; my queries and concerns were always dealt with in a timely manner and with positive outcomes. Thank you so much for your guidance and candid nature during my tenancy with you, Suzette. Should I return to Melbourne, I would happily utilise your and your husband's business again.

Seamless experience: I’ve just completed my lease with O’Brien Real Estate Preston and must say that our agent Suzette has been the most straight forward agent I’ve ever dealt with. By straight forward, I mean no hidden terms and conditions in her communications. She has been very cooperative during the lease term and have tried her best to resolve any property related concerns. She has timely completed her inspections and I was very relieved to discover that she was not unnecessarily looking to make money by raising trivial concerns. Moreover, she has processed the rental bond without any delay on her part. These traits are hard to find in real estate agents and for that reason, I’ll definitely recommend O’Brien Real Estate.

I recently viewed a property and contact OBrien Real Estate to request an inspection. When I contacted them, I was advised that the property was "Under Contract". I asked why wasn't this on the website as the property was being advertised when it wasn't available. I was advised that they don't include when a property is either "Under Offer" or "Under Contract", they just leave as is and don't have any inspection times. I very respectfully disagreed with their philosophy as it falls under the category of false advertising, and politely advised that I would not be enquiring about any other OBrien properties. What a waste of time.

My experience with Konn has been nothing short of exceptional. Recently I had reached out to Konn to assist me in finding a property that would meet all my required needs. Throughout the past 2 months, Konn has been great with his communication by keeping me updated with property’s on the market and general information in regards to the housing market as a whole. Worst experience ever. I was rudely told by an agent not to apply for any house if not employed, without even showing my application to the landlord. Surprisingly the landlord decided to go with another real estate company, and I applied and got the house in less than 24 hours. Shame on you Su****

The worst experience I've ever had with a real estate agent. we rented a house through them. Terrible communication, can't reach anyone on the phone and don't get replies to emails. I would avoid if possible.

Absolute rubbish realestate, my partner and I have continuously tried to get a hold of the agent for four days via emails and calls and nothing. Feel sorry for the landlords who go with this stuck up mob.
