I blew my tire out last night, and was panicked this morning as I knew it was going to be next to impossible to find a tire shop to help with the foot of snow we had overnight. I called 4 places, one of them even laughed at me and said good luck. I have almost brand new All Weather Ice Masters on my car. I was prepared, for everything other than the curb I didn't see after dropping off the last of DD passengers. I'll admit it was late, I was tired, and and with the snow it wasn't great visibility, but this could have been avoided if I had of been a touch more careful. None the less I put my big girl boots on, pulled my car over and changed the flat to the spare while praying someone could help me in the morning. It wasn't looking good I was losing hope quickly. Then I called this shop, Darryl answered, and I explained the situation to him. I don't know if was the desperation or hope in my voice that he heard first, but whatever it was he said he didn't want to turn me away because it wasn't a situation where I wasn't prepared, that it was an accident and he would gladly squeeze me in. The man is a Saint, and just as sweet as can be. If it wasn't weird I'd probably wrap him up in a giant hug. He and his staff saved the day. It's my birthday tomorrow, and tonight is mine and my kids annual screamfest trip. It's our tradition and to think about missing that with him because I was tired and not paying attention was heartbreaking. Darryl you saved the day, my kid and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The staff here are professional, honest, and welcoming. I wish I could leave 100 stars. As a woman lacking extensive vehicle knowledge, I feel safe coming here. Brenna, Eric, and Darryl, along with the multiple technicians I interacted with, all treated me respectfully and took the time to listen to my story. They ensured that I received the most accurate service to get my vehicle safely on the road. Kal Tire misdiagnosed my vehicle during my seaonal change over, and I was told I shouldn't drive it off of the lot, but I could just drive it until my wheel fell off. After panicking and feeling I had no viable options, I came to OK tire for a second opinion. Their highly professional staff informed me that the "issues" pointed out to me by Kal Tire were not accurate, or as serious as I was led to believe. Ultimately saving me a $3000 bill for work that I didn't actually need to do. It's scary to think how easy it is to be taken advantage of as a single female walking into a shop alone. However, from my experience eith OK Tire, I can confidently say this is a safe space, and I look forward to giving them all of my future business. Thanks again to the all-star team at OK Tire.

OK service (I don't know if the company's name is indicative of their service - just OK), but the best I've had is from Kal Tire. Only came here coz my gf bought tires from them and I was going by my Kal Tire experience. I was surprised they don't honour warranty. At Kal Tire they do free tire repair etc if you bought tires from them. The sticking problem I had was that the flat tire (1 rear winter tire) couldn't be fixed so they had to do a tire change over (I had a couple all season tires for replacement). Little did I know that they would go ahead and switch the other rear winter tire to the front. Apparently because one front winter tire was no good. This wasn't made clear to me, and they later said it had to be done. Personally, I think you have to let the customer know that before doing a job and have their consent. That was my experience; of course I'm never coming back and would never recommend.

Saved our out of province, 2ndly owned 2008 ford escape from the junk yard fate, by repairing a long list of items, which another fairly well known auto repair company recommended by our insurance company, could not even provide a list of the requirements because they said, half of the stuff, they would have to outsource to other companies and suggested we just throw the thing up on the auction to get rid of it. John, the manager of Okay Tire, had the professional attitude to attempt to tackle all these problems in their own shop and had the work done in 4 days. We ended up paying about 3,000, but are satisfied with the quality of work and honesty demonstrated about the work needed. Would highly recommend to anyone requiring auto repairs. We are still driving the escape, day in and out, 1 year later.

I have been to this location a couple times over the last couple years and have always been impressed by how friendly they are, their professionalism, how hard they work, their honesty, and how never try to push me into anything I don’t need. Yesterday evening I found I had another screw in my tire and being the only one in my family with a car, I needed to have it fixed as soon as possible. They were very accommodating for me when I called this morning and had me in and out within an hour. They also found when they had my tires off that I would be needing my brakes done very soon. They informed me of what they found and offered to price it out and call me later with an estimate, allowing me to make a non-pressured, informed decision at my own pace. Thank you so much guys!!

Decent service, got most repairs done... but after getting further work done I started to notice issues with the quality of work and things I asked to be done were not yet I was told they were and my bill reflected this, brought my vehicle to another mechanic who agreed the work done was very poor and rushed probably done by someone inexperienced with older vehicles. Over tightened lugs, timing not done correctly, broken/pinched wires and plugs, broken vacuum and breather lines, incorrect brake pads, failure to diagnose issues with a OBD1 code reader yet charge for the service.. the list goes on. Needless to say they are fine with basic services but take your vehicle elsewhere for more complicated issues especially if it is +25 years or older.

We have taken our cars here for over 5 years now - the staff here have always done an exceptional job on our tires, brakes, check-ups, oil changes, etc. Kevin and Erich are always easy to communicate with and let us know how long a job is going to take. In cases where they have been short staffed they have always coordinated with us to make sure we get our vehicles back in a timely manner despite being busy. They always have reasonable quotes and never try to “upsell” on anything. They are great about letting us know what needs to be fixed now, what needs to be fixed down the road, and what we can save on. Would recommend these guys 100 times over - they are friendly, professional, and most importantly take great care of our vehicles!

Darryl at the front counter is a champion. I took my daughter's car in for a tire that appeared to have a slow leak. Unfortunately it was beyond repair as she drove it when it was flat. Her car is an AWD so you just cannot replace one. Darryl went through all of her options with her on the phone and before she made her decision he asked if she happened to have summer tires as she was still running on her winter tires, which she did. He then asked me if I was able to get them, he would be able to get them all switched for her that day. I appreciated that he took the extra step to try and save her some money, and set her up with a solution for winter tires when the seasons change..

Kevin did an out-of-province inspection of my car. He took great care of the front spoiler when exiting the parking lot. He also asked where my wheel lock was because he didn't want to rummage through my car. He went above and beyond with the service with all those small touch points, which I appreciated very much. Thanks, Kevin! Eric, the service advisor who booked my appointment, was very knowledgeable and went so far as to tell me which things I could address beforehand so they didn't have to fail the inspection and make me come back again. Thank you, gentlemen! David and Greg, it looks like you've got a great team going on here. I appreciate it. Keep up the good work

Edit - though I previously gave a poor review for not great service, OK Tire went above and beyond to regain my trust and business. Editing this review accordingly. Had an engine light go on, and I got a couple quotes for the fix. Not only did OK Tire beat the pricing, they offered to run the fix in two stages (replace an O2 sensor, and then replace the catalytic converter) in case the lower cost option addressed the issue. Replacing the O2 sensor did not do the trick (as we anticipated) so we went forward with the second fix. I have driven a couple thousand miles since with zero issue. Big thanks to Eric and Ken for their hard work and clear explanations.

I read a couple of great reviews here, and thought I'd give them a shot. I just bought my "first vehicle, Take 2"...all on my own again.. ;) (all parts before hand) I was looking at a couple of trucks, and wanted to get a vehicle pre purchase inspection after the year I'd had. They were able to get it in the next morning. It is an older vehicle, and needed some parts to pass the insurance check, the next day the work was finished, and I am good to go! They went above, and beyond which I am grateful for. I think you can bring your smarts here, too. I am so happy I have a vehicle again, because it took me ten months to find good work without one. :D

Great service! More organized then other shops I've been too. They even seem to work well when it's super busy and keep it together which looked very difficult. Staff actually cared about my needs, I had clearly made a mistake in giving the wrong information about my tires and they took mutual responsibility and fixed it by finding me the right tires and getting them delivered and put on in the same day, I didn't even have to reschedule, just had to wait for the tires. Didn't try to sell me different tires or talk me into a different set after I said no I want these. Very happy! can't wait to come back.

My daughter brought in her tire to be repaired from nail hole. After several hours they claimed they "forgot about her car", didnt do the work, then told her the repair was on the inside and they were closing shop (Saturday hours) at 3pm, so they sent her away with her tire untouched, and that her tire was not something they could fix. Yet they didnt even look at it?? Very disappointed in the lack of care or concern. Given the safety issue of her sent to drive away on a spare, shame on your staff for not staying late to rectify YOUR MISTAKE, by forgetting about her car! How does this even happen??

The staff here have always taken really good care of me. They have helped me out more than once, and it's nice to know I can go to somewhere responsible and kind. I know nothing about cars and they've always been really good to explain if there is an issue, and have been honest when there was no issue or the issue is minor. I have no problem getting an appointment for a tire change over either. These guys are my go-to and I really appreciate their services. I can't say enough good things about the wonderful staff here. I've very bad experience the two times I went there. Poor workmanship and poor customer service. Even a simple task like tire fitting they couldn't do it properly and I've to go back again to get it fixed. Poor customer service from one of front desk employees. When my car broke just 50 meters away from their shop after they replaced the brake pads, and instead of offering help, the guy asked me to pay first for checking! No word of apology after they found that it was their mistake. I'll never go back again.

Amazing service! My tire was flat so I called in and they allowed me to borrow a portable air tank so that I could fill my tire enough to drive it to the shop. They then got me in right away to fix my tire, and the guys in the front were awesome to chat with. It didn't take long and was cheaper than competitors. Will be sending all of my friends here! I'll also mention I am hesitant to go to car repair shops as a younger woman as I am typically taken for a run, but they were very respectful and kind.

The staff at OK Tire on 17th ave could not have been more helpful and efficient. They went above and beyond to ensure I understood the right options for me and even went through the warranty information. They placed the order in the afternoon and my tires were in next morning. I advised I was leaving on a trip so they prioritized my suv first thing so I could pick it up before lunch. I don’t often write reviews however this experience warranted a big thank you & would definitely recommend.

The guy I just talked to (Sat afternoon shift) needs to take a few courses on customer service. I came in asking for a whole set of alloy wheels and all seasons, and he said I should look up the exact ones myself, because when he recommended a few to someone else, they didn’t end up like it. Excuse me, what does that have to do with me?! First of all, don’t be rude to your customers, second of all, your story is not my concern, I’m here to get service, not to catch your darn negativity.

I would like to thank OK Tire, and particularly, Erich, as he went the extra mile to help me out of a pickle on the 22 October 2022, and I would like to also praise his work ethic and customer focus. I had a great customer experience and service, and he helped with my tires and storage, going the extra mile to wait a bit longer beyond his working hours to help me with my issue. So, I would recommend this garage to anybody who wants smooth tire changes and storage.

It is hard to find good and honest work, but OK Tyre on 17th Ave has always been my go to place. Everyone I dealt with has been great, but I especially wanted to give a shout out to Kevin who went above and beyond. He took the time to make calls and update me (which many places always forget to do), made sure I understood what was going on, and found solutions for my concerns. I really appreciate how I feel like a valued customer here!

I took my car to their shop 2 times concerned about my brakes because of a sound my car was making. The mechanics told me both times that they checked my brakes and everything was fine but I found out later that my brake pads were basically non existent at a different shop. Disappointed they would overlook something like that causing further damage to my car after telling me everything checked out with my brakes.

Ok tire on 17th Ave S.W. Had been there previously years before and was professional. But now, looks like a bunch of kids took over and it is very disorganized. I guess they are trying to sort out how to run a shop. Despite having an appointment it took 3 days to get a diagnosis on a very simple matter. Had to take car away because shop doesn't appear trustworthy. Definitely would not recommend.

As a former auto technician myself...I know how this industry works. There's good, there's bad, and there's ugly. These guys are great! Now as a commercial driver, I don't want to spend my 2 days off diagnosing and repairing my truck. Both times I had them repair my pickup truck I was actually happy giving them money. Fixed right and John was straight up. Totally recommend the guys

Not only did they get me in extremely last minute for a winter tire swap and alignment, but were able to squeeze me in for an unforeseen ball joint repair very fast. The staff here are professional and attentive- it’s always a little bit of a pain going into shops as a female, but I would return to these guys in a heartbeat for any future needs. I have been here several times and the service has always been excellent. The crew at OK Tire (17 Ave SW location) are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! They have also never tried to take advantage that I am a women coming in with my vehicle like some other shops in the city have done and have never tried to sell me things I don't need. It's my go-to place now.

Called early in the morning because my break pads and rotor's needed replacing. Kevin immediately said I could bring the car in so that he could take a look at it. Kevin's team was transparent and upfront with what the costs would/could be and how long it might take to fix. A great experience all around. I would certainly recommend people use this OK Tire location.

These guys have been just wonderful both times I've been there. They don't make me feel like I matter less because I'm not a high dollar customer. They have fit me in when I needed my tire fixed immediately so I wouldn't miss work. They were kind and really nice to deal with. I felt that they went out of their way for me and were really fair with pricing :)

I have a class B camper van that needed brakes all around. They were hard to source and even harder to match the parts. These guys are awesome. I dropped in hoping they could help me with a burnt out signal light. I felt it was important to fix it quickly. Even though I could see they were swamped they took it in right away and fixed it on the spot. Then when the bill came it was half of what I expected. 5 stars for theses guys. You are more than just OK!

Had my tire repaired at this location. I arrived at the appointment time, they were able to start the repair right away. I had a few questions about tires, they answered it honestly. Very professional, no upsell, no wasting my time, no BS. In and out in 30 minutes. Recommended, I will use them again in future when needed.

I just had a flat tire problem. The gentlemen at the shop did not even want to look at my car, because they "were busy". How good is a tire shop that does not have time and desire to help someone with a flat tire emergency? I would not go back to this shop or recommend it to someone. Totally unacceptable!

There is an older guy who works here who needs to learn a bit more about customer service. I did not appreciate the way I was being talked to. I understand tough days in this sort of industry, but I did not appreciate the sort of tone he gave. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

The guys at OK tire were phenomenal, helped me get my classic car back on the road for a reasonable price. There was alot of trouble shooting, and Erich called me every couple of hours with updates. Price was extremely reasonable and the guys were very friendly. I will be back.

Eric was able to source a battery tender and have it installed much quicker than expected, and the car was ready to pick up a day early. Competitive pricing, full mechanical service, i'm thrilled to find a shop like this in the inner-city. Will definitely be going back.

I booked an appointment with OK Tire and they did a great job to patch and plug my tire. I was worried about driving home to Ontario, but they reassured me that it would last the life of the tire. We made it home safely with no issues. They were quick and efficient!

Headed out to work and found a flat tire :(. Called OK Tire. I needed a new set of tires anyway, so I asked for a quote and the price was better than the 3 other places I called. They arranged a tow and replaced the tires same day. New tires are great. Thanks guysn

The worst please if you need to make ailments, mechanic told for he can fix back while because it's a sport car and WV it's a bad company, after this they charge 85 bucks for nothing (alignment check) for I got before on Canadian Tire for free.

Can't say enough amazing things about these guys! We were driving through from Kamloops to Saskatoon and ran into some brake problems, and they got us in without question even though they were close to closing time. I definitely recommend them!

We have taken vehicles there a number of times, and they have always managed to get something a bit wrong, added charges without approval, not completing something I've asked for. . . They arent dangerous, just not great attention to detail.

After 4 years in Calgary I finally found an Excellent Service. They know to listen to you and give you the best advice. Their prices are reasonable and they are honest. I felt so comfortable! Can't find better auto service around. Gabriela

Incredible service by all the staff. They'll work with you to find the next timing to repair your vehicle. If they can't get it don't in time, they'll do their best to get you to where you need to go and back to pick it up.

I had an out pf province safety done by Eric, they were quick and great about calling me before they did any work they found on the car, it was also cheaper to have the safety done here than at Kal Tire.

I went for a tire change and I was quite impressed with their service. These guys are highly professional and changed my broken gas cap tether without even informing me. I approve this place!

They were quick to accommodate my tire change for later the same day. However, i ended up waiting for 3 hours at the shop until this was completed and at a higher cost than I normally pay.

Best service in the city! Within minutes of walking in, I was greeted with my vehicle in the shop on the hoist. My tire was repaired promptly, and I was on the road again within the hour.
