Went in for a pedicure and manicure. Great atmosphere and loved the complimentary shoulder massage. However, I had a disappointing/amateur manicure. My pedicure was great. But the lady who did my gel manicure could not follow simple instructions and I ended up filing my own nails (I wanted square she kept on making them round) and she did not mind that I was basically doing her job. Though I told the receptionist about my experience, she only seemed to care if I lived in Tanzania or not. I guess the fact that I would not be a regular customer did not warrant the effort to rectify the situation. I recommend to ask around first who is the good manicurist and pedicurist in the salon as they aren't all up to the task.

The spa was extremely unprofessional - we had an appointment booked for 4 people, we showed up on time and they said they had given one of the spots away to a walk-in. They also claimed that that they had sent us a message to inform us. We checked and the message was sent 2 minutes before our appointment start time! Management is clearly more concerned with making a quick buck than operating professionally and honouring their reservations. Don’t bother making resos, they don’t keep them. Better yet find another spa in Dar - lots more professional ones.

I went in for a body massage and a scrub. I would say I was disappointed because they started about 15 min late and didn't make up for that time. Overall, it's not worth it if you are coming to visit from the US. I thought it might be a better deal but the quality is much lower. Perhaps good for Dar Es Salaam standards. Also, the CC machine wasn't working or they don't except CC so that was a lot of cash to dish out at once unexpectedly.

I was expecting to be blown away by the service at the spa.it was the opposite. I was underwhelmed..my pedicure was rushed and wasnt done properly..the lady who did my eyebrows was digging into my personal life...the lady who did my wax did not give me a robe/towel i had to ask for one..unfortunately the good service ends at the reception.

In times like today, the last thing I expect from a spa treatment is to not have a functional website. Having to ask for prices while you have a perfectly working website defeats the purpose. I know the reviews are enough to deter me, from locals to foreigners- from me making a bad decision!

I had 3 treatments there. Pedicure including neck massage was awesome, also threading. Then I booked a facial package for 90$ for one hour. So disappointing!!! The non african lady was rough, nearly broke my toes, rubbed the massage cream into my eyes… thrown out expensive money

Going to Ocean spa, means having your treatments done in a luxurious, peaceful atmosphere, with a spectacular sea view. The beautician are friendly, courteous, and very very professional. The place is pricey, though, the only negative being their not accepting credit cards.

The place is very nice and very clean. However, gel nail polish lasted less than week. I'm very dissapointed and will not recommend the place to anyone me will I be going there again. Plus, it is super expensive and they take only cash. … Zaidi

Exceptional place! Athmosphere is so relaxing, the staff is so well trained, the owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed any time!

Decent massage but too much oil used. Manicure and pedicure were good. Waxing was also good apparently.

Staff are friendly however rooms and bathrooms need some desperate renovation. Especially the bathroom
