My review specifically is for printing at this Officeworks (the retail side from my experience has been fine). The times I’ve needed to use printing at this Officeworks I always dread it due to the waiting times which are abnormally long. My most recent experience with printing here has been one of the worst ever that I’ve experienced in any retail store that I felt I had no choice but to leave a review. I went in to print 3 copies of a photo for a passport which I thought would have been a quick, simple job. Firstly, after reaching the front of the line (which itself took about 15-20 min which is typical of this printing line at this Officeworks) the staff member directed me to the self serve kiosk. Once reaching the self serve kiosk, none of the supplied iPhone cables are reading my iPhone so I resort to downloading the Officeworks app. It struggled to connect to their kiosks but eventually after 30 minutes of trying (with no support from staff) I am able to transfer my photos from their app to the kiosk and configure it to how I think it needs to be printed (more on that later). Wouldn’t you know it though, the self serve kiosks aren’t printing receipts (needed for the next step of actually printing the photos) so I have to go back up to the counter, get the attention of a staff member then get them to print off the receipt. I get the receipt, print off the photos and wouldn’t you know it - they’re too big for passport photos. I then go through the above process all over again, except I do try another kiosk to see if it will print the receipt. Not only do I go through the same process of the app struggling to transfer photos to the kiosk it also has the same issue of not printing the receipt - so I have to go to the counter and get the staff member to print it off again. In total I was in store for about an hour and a half for something that really should only take a few minutes particularly as Officeworks offer passport printing so you would hope they know the correct dimensions for printing. Anyway, this has just been the most recent and worst experience with printing at this Officeworks - plenty of previous experiences here have been terrible. I’ll try my next closest Officeworks next time I need something printed.
If I could give less than 1 star, I would. 3 much older staff members standing around behind photo counter talking to each other, whilst a queue was formed, plus people at the photo DIY booths waiting for help. The staff not even acknowledging customers waiting. Finally got to the counter finally to be told, we should order on the machines. When I explained we were not after regular size prints, but just 4 copies on a2 size the larger woman rolled her eyes and said “yeah you can still do that over there” I apologised and said we had not done that before. She sighed and said “yep” Then we asked if we could get it done urgently, as it was part of a HSC work due on Monday, and something had gone wrong, we would pay extra, it’s for 4 photos. The woman scoffed at us and said “you’d be lucky to get it Sunday” This happened on a Friday. I asked if there was any possible way she could help us and she shrugged and said “No. it’s that time of the year. Everyone is getting their urgent work done. Is that all for today?” (It’s the middle of August. I’m clearly unaware that mid August is the busiest time of year for photographs and prints) We left, went to another local Officeworks, we told them what happened and they were so very apologetic. Apparently it happens all the time there, and that store staff has a terrible reputation. This store was busy. Very busy. However they did the printing for us in 20 mins. I’ll never go to this one again. Have submitted a formal written complaint too.
I wanted to give 0 stars but sadly that is not possible. This by far is the worst office-works I've ever visited. Here is my list of feedback's after using this center for multiple years. 1. The lady center manager is very arrogant and rude! She totally lacks customer service skills. 2. 9 out of 10 times, there is no one to attend to customers. 3. Photo printing / spiral binding / photo copying at this center is a disgrace to one's own self. As you will keep on waiting for someone to attend to you but no one will turn up. 4. At times their eftpos machine will deduct money and it will not show up on their system. In this case, goods will not be handed over to the customer as the staff can see a declined transaction at their end but you as customer can check your bank app on your phone, which will confirm the money has been deducted. Now customer, has to fill in a form in order to get their money refunded back to them after 1 MONTH! Also mind it, customer cannot take the goods and they need to pay again, if they want the goods at that point. 5. Despite long customer queue being fairly visible, staff members are just casually work around with different things rather than attending customers. OFFICEWORKS, learn something from ALDI as their staff jumps into servicing customers, leaving any and every task at hand. No doubt German Giant knows quality customer service!
If only I could give zero stars. Worst officeworks I have ever been to. Tall, male staff working on floor on 15/11/21 working between 6-6.30pm did not have any customer service skills. I had to say excuse me twice to get his attention because he was too busy chatting with a female co worker on shift. He did not smile nor turned around to help me. He was facing his coworker the whole time. I wanted an advice on a product to make sure I get the right one. After a detailed description of what i needed, he assured me that its the correct one that i needed. I also asked if they had anything else in store to what i had in my hand and he said no. After another couple of minutes looking, i found out there was another product like it! He was in a rush to stop serving me just to keep chatting to his co-worker. I ended up going home with the product he suggested just to be safe, only to figure out that he recommended the wrong product.
After reading the reviews here, I dreaded getting my click and collect order and braced myself for a long wait. I was pleasantly surprised when a team member greeted me while I was waiting in the queue and assisted me with my order. I also had a photo print order which she collected for me (order placed online earlier today). I had my baby in the pram with me and my items were bulky so another team member assisted me with bringing my order to my vehicle. This saved me having to do a couple of trips back and forth to my parked car. I am very satisfied with their customer service. Thank you to the Officeworks team at Gledswood Hills, you really went above and beyond. My visit to the store took less than 5 mins.
This place is suffering lack of management. I just came from there and was looking for a fabric label for my daughter. I got some assistance from one of the workers. However, while she looks for this item, another customer chatted with her for very long time and I had to keep waiting for them until they finish their talk. Finally after waiting for long time and they still chatting, I decided to forfeit this item and head to the checkout. It was surprising for me to find a very long queue with only 2 cashiers at the end. I left this store and got all items I need from other stores and I don’t need to come her again. Absolute waste of time. I think the staff need to learn how to manage a store like this.
If I could give zero stars I would. Asking for help at this store is like asking for a million dollars. Painfully excruciating because you know you wont get it. Customer service is a joke and most staff are unpleasant to deal with. If you don't like your job or customers then quit. Not to mention, i have a dislocated shoulder and when asking for help to lift a gaming chair onto a trolley, I waited a further 30 minutes after a staff member going on their lunch break called someone over only to have no one show up. A fellow customer ended up helping me. Gledswood Hills, you should be ashamed and look at your infrastructure when hiring team members. The cheapest aren't always the best.
Terrible customer service! I went there for getting my child’s passport photo done. The staff just simply said “too young, can’t do it” I told them my nephew is the same age as my son and he got his passport photo done here three days ago. The staff mentioned it to another staff (I guess it might be the store supervisor or store manager), and the answer was just a head shake, not even a glance of us. I guess the store was busy at the time and they just didn't want to spend time taking kid photos. But I were happy to wait if they asked me nicely and treated me with respect. Really disappointed! P.S my son is 3 years old. He can sit and run and even ride a bike by himself!!!
Very poor customer service. I needed printing for a university assignment, therefore I went in as soon as the store opened. I ended up waiting 40mins for 5 page document because the staff recognized the man behind me and served him first. I ended up missing the train for a 40 minute job that should have taken less than 15 mins. The printing was smudged and of poor quality when I paid for the premium paper. The staff did nothing about this issue and I walked out a highly dissatisfied customer. I definitely will not be returning.
I put an online order through to get approximately 10 photos printed and paid for next day delivery. 1 week later still have no photos & when I called the store for an update they said they couldn’t find it and I need to call a 3rd party and chase it up. Only reason I put an online order through was because every time you go in store you stand for ages to be seen by someone or the photo machines aren’t working. Worst office works, definitely need more staff and new management.
I came in for a passport photo yesterday for an urgent replacement passport, to travel for a job, then got up this morning early to get into Sydney’s main passport office to organise, and they told me the lighting in the passport photo your team took would not be passed and needs to be redone. A waste of time, money and a lot of effort, and now to find a replacement and wait hours to try to resolve! Not really fair that we should have to pay and be mucked around like this.
I am not one for leaving bad reviews but this place takes the award for consistency in terms of poor customer service, since the past 5 years I have lived in the area. God forbid someone needs something urgent, 20mins wait is pretty usual to get 1 print - 2 staff members to service the massive print line, whilst 5-6 staff members just standing idle behind cash countres giggling away or roaming the floor. Would never come here if there was another option in the area!
Not the cheapest place for photos, but after being let down by Harvey Norman earlier in the day, who were suggesting 3 days behind on photos - Officeworks accommodated the request, had them ordered online, and collected within the space of 20 minutes. Bloke at the counter helped us get a printing card and print a document, spending time on ensuring everything was correct. Have had some prior average experiences; but was really happy with service today. Thanks!
Go elsewhere if you want to do digital prints. I came in took 15 mins to print 16 photos all smaller than a4s. I come back the next day waited for counter service digital prints 11 photos smaller than a4s.Took more than 1hr 5 minutes of waiting. Nobody really tells you anything, had been told they take 10 minutes . I think best go to a different Officeworks to save you a headache. The staff just scurry away obviously ignoring customers. Will never be back.
WARNING.. don’t do your passport photos there. Aus post rejected as too grainy and not up to par… didn’t have my partners card, only offered a gift card refund (Had receipt) complained, then magically they can refund onto my card..Aus post said it’s very common with them, don’t waste your time, money o effort with Passport photos.. customer service very sub par.. obviously minimal training or empathy on how the o deal with these type of things.
Manager can do with some customer service skills and engagement training. Came in for a warranty issue, got a refund but only for the faulty photo printer. They don't have that model any more so stuck with all the other consumable useless bits, and worse off, got a gift card as a refund?? As if I'll be coming back to Shop here. Not sure what was the point to pay extra for the replacement warranty...
One star is an understatement, I waited so long to print, no one served me and not until I asked what's going on did they provide a brief excuse that someone was on break, and when I finally got served the printer didnt work. I wasted 40 minutes waiting for no result. This is ridiculous not only is the customer service is terrible, their printers aren't doing their job either.
The store itself is great, lots of items in stock and prices are good. What lets it down is there isn't enough staff. While YES staff are helpful, there is usually a long line of customers for check out and only ONE person at the desk while others are stocking shelves or greeting people as they enter. Also they never answer their phones which is very disappointing
Wow the customer service is pretty bad. The lady working around 12:50pm at the registers was not friendly at all. Will go to my other usual Officeworks for better service. Advice to management would be to ask some of your staff to smile a little and give some good service otherwise it might mean a management issue funneling down to the staff members.
So impressed with click and collect service! I had to get supply's for home schooling last minute and wanted to get in and out quickly so I tried click and collect, I had a notification that my order was ready in less then 30 minutes!!! I was greeted at the door by a representative who called for my order to be brought down and I was out.
The wait to get to the printing counter was long but I realised why when I got up there, I hadn’t downloaded files correctly and they took forever to come through. Stephen was very patient and helped me sort it out, recommended paper type for what I wanted. Probably a bit understaffed but the people working there were lovely.
I thought I will be the only one that leave negative feedback, I am wrong. I had a few bad experience in this Officeworks about their printing services, rude, arrogant, neglect....it seems their management doesn't care about the google reviews, because there is same group of people providing consistent disgusting services.
Give this site a miss. We went to this Officeworks at 5pm last night and the manager was rude and just not hospitable. Took us awhile and we where happy to wait but when we where served by another staff member (which tried) the computer said there was 4 tables in stock but there was none.
Worst customer service. Store was full of staff who ignored all customers on the shop floor. I had to ask 3 different staff members for help over a 15 min time period. They would all palm me off to someone else who just as unhelpful as the last person! Time to invest in staff training!!
Big shout out for Jessica, who helped me with a big job including a lot of variations She was so patient and smiling throughout the process! She also suggested a few things that worked out best for me. True customer service professional, very hard to find these days!!
Excellent service from Mark and Gheeri (sic) who assisted me with a recent warranty replacement for a laser printer. They were helpful, attentive, professional and kept me well-infirmed on progress. Thank you for your help and great service guys.
This store needs new staff, waited in their print line for 45mins 2x staff there with 1 who walked away knowing there was a queue. 1x Staff at door I asked if Passport photos was available and he said yes, when I finally get to counter they
I came in at 8:22 when the store was closing at 9pm. I had 3 people infront of me and only had to print 2 papers to laminate. The 2 people ahead took roughly 30 minutes to get their printing done and when it was my turn, it was 9pm (closing
They're always short staffed, long lines and poor customer service, I've been here one min past closing and they wouldn't let me in to pickup one thing.. I've been on hold waiting to check stock for 15min and have had to hang up. Print and
Terrible customer service - I lined up at the print counter. A lady started serving me then moved on to someone else before I even got to explain what I wanted . Then I asked another sales assistant for help with printing an e book and she
Yesterday. Due to Covid, the self-access printing was closed, so had to get some personal files printed from the counter instead. I was served by a middle aged man, who printed my files, but then proceeded to read the contents of them on
This store is an absolute joke. The staff at the front counter (tall young guy been the exception) are so rude and absolutely incompetent. Each time I have visited this store I’ve had to wait min 15 minutes just to print on 2 pieces of
Great customer service....very helpful with my click and collect. I bought a desk and all the staff went out of their way to help me load desk into back of my car. So nice to see young staff with such a cheerful and helpful manner!!!
Amazing clean and always stocked store, but ridiculous wait times, theres always two staff members in the front counter one for printing and one for the register and that does not change regardless of how many customers are in line.
A queue behind me at the print and copy counter but the staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving customers. Will never venture into that branch again. Pity because I had a very long shopping list.
The worst store. Hardly any stock. When they do have stock the product is open and when you go in to return the store manager makes it out you opened it and refuses on doing a refund on the products. service needs to improve!
Anchita was amazing! I had a few prints to do but did not know how and felt nervous and stressed as last few times I've come in store I had zero help and was overwhelmed. Thank you Anchita for being polite and helpful.
Outstanding Customer Service from Mark today (Sunday 18th Sep) who took our Passport photos. He was engaging, knew exactly what the passport photo guidelines were and made a tedious but necessary task enjoyable.
“I was so pleased with the service I received from the staff named "Varsha". She went above and beyond to help me find the product i was after.” “I was very impressed with the quality of the product I received.
Shout out to 2 very young customer service personnel VASHA & ALEX …They were soooooo helpful this evening and had a smile all the time they served us. Great job guys keep it up …
Not sure why out of all the Officeworks stores I regularly go to in Sydney, this place seems to have the longest wait times, and staff just ‘chillin’ behind the counters while customers are queuing.
I bought some stationery and was waiting to pay. The shopping assistant at the entrance processed my card payment, and I got a paperless receipt. Super happy to cut the queue.
yet again terrible unfriendly staff. line up due to only one or two staff despite afew on the floor. every time I experience this terrible customer service.
They make you to pay by blue card because they lazy at the end the machine charged you more .and after you go back to them and you need to wait to hours .
A guy who works here is the least helpful worker I've ever met. He said he wouldn't help out at all. He was not helpful and seemed hesitant to do his job.
Inappropriate customer service by a male representative. Extremely rude and As per my experience I am not recommending anyone for this location.
Not many places call you back when you accidentally get disconnected. Officeworks Gledswood did this for me today. Very appreciative.
If I could rate this store a 0 I would! If you could sum up this specific store in 3 words it would be SLOW, STUPID and
Very helpful staff. Went out of their way to help me with a time sensitive item.
Kiana is a great person to deal with. Thank you so much.
