Discovering this little suburban library was wonderful for me. Convenient with a good stock selection for a small library. Have ordered specific books there - always prompt in obtaining book requested and always a call to tell me they had it for me. They have a friends of the library organization (F.O.O.L.S.!) for a small annual fee you have access to new stock and the latest books which are seperated from general stock. Staff are friendly and there is a general public community notice board which I have made use of on occasion. Definately worth the small annual subs. Andy McKissock 13/2/2015

This library has a second hand bookshop down the side passage of main entrance. They sell quality books on all genre for sale on a Thurs & Friday morning 09h30 to 12h30. Prices are SO reasonable : most are R10 to R20 or as marked. We also accept donations of good quality books. All sales support the purchase of new books for the main library to benefit the community.

On tuesday the 26th November 2019 i got robbed at this library. My car was packed right infront of the library, but to my suprise someone managed to tamper with my door, opened the car and stole my handbag and the other bag that was inthe car. The library has no cameras, nor security patrolling outside. Though its nice library but safety wise...its not good.

Makes no sense that they are not open at least on a Saturday morning to service people who work during the week. I mean Boskruin library is open Saturday morning. I assume it is funded by tax money and it’s not like they are open late enough during the week so you can go after work…I just don’t understand it

What an amazing library. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There is an amazing selection of books to choose from and they are open at decent times. It really is wonderful to see these critical public places still functioning well.

Like all libraries, its well-decorated with miscellaneous books. I enjoyed my first time there, it's quiet and peaceful. The staff are amical, and there's also a book sale with reasonable prices. I look forward to going back again.

I appreciate the water supply issue is out of your control, and that regulations mean the library is closed, but surely this can be fixed and a notice on the website or the like so people dont come to the library for nothing.

A nice, pleasant set-up with a good selection of books. More important than the choices available is the choice to support a place of learning. Great to have one of these in our small suburb, conveniently situated.

This is a dangerous place that must be avoided at all costs. My car was stolen in full view of an incompetent JMPD security guard.

Gentle breeze in an Agricultural Holding area. What better study session can one have. The only form of noise is that of births.

Was looking for Vernacular books for kids...Got there on a Friday and bit disappointed by the early closing hours.

It's quiet, clean and professional with sufficient array of books

The Library is clean and quiet, with nice parking space.

They are currently only open during the week 9-4pm.

Olivedale Library is open Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm
