"It's always been nice to stop here no matter what the weather is like to take in the view"
"An amazing view of the Bay"
"Good scenic view of the beach from the lookout"
"Great place with an excellent view"
"What a lovely part of Melbourne !! I am so grateful for the freeways that divert the heavy traffic away from this scenic part of Nepean Highway, allowing sight seers more peace to enjoy the expansive views of the city skyline and beyond! There is a parking spot here"
It's always been nice to stop here no matter what the weather is like to take in the view. Avoiding the cycling lycra can be interesting on the way up or down Oliver's Hill as any good rider knows it's the halfway point from St. Kilda Beach to here. I only recently found out that the place was named after a local fisherman, James Oliver who built the first cottage here in the middle of the 19th century and it was his job to keep an eye out for any fish schools that were coming nearby Property prices are enormous here and yet I remember them when nobody wanted to live in the area. It is well worth making your way there and soaking up the views. On a clear day, you can see right around the bay. Today was no exception and I just soaked up the fabulous sounds of the waves and the smell of the ocean. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking off the main road. Rubbish bins are available. Toilets further down the road towards Frankston.
An amazing view of the Bay. With Frankston's Central Business District, shopping facilities At the bottom of Oliver's Hill, to the Melbourne city skyline; visible to the North/ West of the Bay. This scenic landmark is a perfect place to enjoy a taste of what the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. A top spot for photography, offering the sun rise over Frankston or the sun set, behind a colourful; post card worthy, Oliver's Hill. Watch as the hustle and busle of Melbourne city and its surrounding suburbs. Light up the dark landscape, as day becomes night. Witness Nature's very own light show. That has to be seen to be believed; sure to impress the Storm Chaser in each of us.
Good scenic view of the beach from the lookout. Parking is okay. I have noticed that there is waste disposal bins in this area as lots of people coming in this place. The binocular placed over there was not clear as per my experience. There is a bench to sit down and enjoy the view with a cup . We can see the city from Oliver's hill lookout but it depends on the weather. Good place to visit one time with family.

Great place with an excellent view. This area has parking space for about 6 cars. We can walk via the footpath to get to the jetty below. There are many parking spots near the jetty, however it will be full on sunny days. So it’s better to get there early. Nevertheless, it’s a great place to spend some time walking, running or just enjoying the view. Thanks.

What a lovely part of Melbourne !! I am so grateful for the freeways that divert the heavy traffic away from this scenic part of Nepean Highway, allowing sight seers more peace to enjoy the expansive views of the city skyline and beyond! There is a parking spot here. Just be careful due to it still on the highway. We hiked here from the Sweetwater Creek Reserve! This area changes my view on Frankston!! Hope it helps!
Basically you will have a great view of Frankston beach. -Morning walkers get ready for the amazing view if you have planned to walk an extra mile to the top. -One can park their vehicles and enjoy the view sitting in your car. - No restrictions for the parking. Can park till the time you want. - One telescope to enjoy the ship moving over the beach and city as well. - Best if you go in the morning
Took my elderly mum with me to see the view of the bay and catch the sunset She loved it we parked easily so she could get out easily and not have to walk too far There is a telescope but we just took it all in It is not a huge area with limited parking off nepean highway on olivers hill ...but the cars move on quickly Great views of Frankston and port phillip bay
A place where you can enjoy beautiful views of the coast. Amazing sunsets. During the day, if you wish, you can take a walk along the trail that leads to the wild beach. The trail is located on the left side of Oliver’s Hill Pier. The trail is good for walking with a dog. On the right side is located the boardwalk Bay Trail, which is ideal for an evening walk.
My ideal spot to let my mind relaxed. In my opinion one of the best views in Frankston if not Victoria. However, parking is quite challenging (less than 10 spots I guess). Sometimes, I do park at Frankston Waterfront and walk up for 5 mins. If you drive pass Frankston, I highly recommend to stop by ( not the night time though).
Absolutely beautiful look out spot ❤️ It can get very busy, but a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise or sunset over the bay, the view is absolutely amazing and you can get some great photos.

Great spot for a photo; potentially the best views of Melbourne/the vast which is easily accessible by the general public. Parking on the hill can be a little problematic - potentially best to park at the bottom and walk to the top. Be sure to bring a camera and done smiles!
Pretty good. Nice views of the bay. On good days, you may see the CBD. Not much else here other than park your car and look though. There is a sundial looking thing that aims to point out key areas. It essentially a very short timed car park with a decent view.
On a beautiful sunny day. This gives you incredible views of the bay. You see all the way to the city. It's beautiful view allows you to take in frankston's gorgeous beach

We stopped on impulse driving home on a day when smoke from fires blanketed Victoria. Having driven up and down Olivers hill 100's of time its the first time I have stopped. I really appreciated the view and was able to watch sunset through the smoke haze
I come here often, beautiful views, love taking photos here, not much car park space and is often very busy packed and very hard to get a park if you get one at all.

Really need good weather, but the views here can be stunning when the skies and water are clear. It's a tricky area to get to from the road (can only access this from one way), and it can get very busy during the summer months. Not much to
It's a nice little lookout. Has a small amount of parking away from the main roads in parallel. Watch the clear waters below, see people kayaking or paddle boarding when the water's calm. Use the free binoculars (no coin required) to spot
Stunning view of the ocean, especially on a sunny day. Limited number of parking lots, and it will be a little tricky to drive safely to the lookout.

One of the best place that I have been to. Love watching sunset from this place. Got some awesome drone shots. Loved watching people having fun with their jet skis. Make to sure to be here during sunset.
Lovely views. We'll worth the stop although parking is very limited. Be patient and drive safely. Would be 5 star if there was more parking.

Very beautiful sceneries! Requires walking up and down a steep hillside but nonetheless was a great experience. Have access to beautiful scenes of the ocean and feel the ocean winds on your face!
On sunny days you get wonderful views of the ocean, and all the shades of colour that come with it. Well worth the stop to watch the birds fly over the sea. Seagulls will ask you for a chippie.
A bit tricky to get to, there is some temporary parking available but it can get busy. Beautiful views over the bay towards the city. Gorgeous sunset views great for photographers …
Lovely viewing point looking over the ocean to Melbourne city. There is a compass at the site telling you distances to places.

Brilliant spot to stop and breathe in a beautiful sunset. Gorgeous at any time of the day. Sometimes we have seen dolphins from here, too.
Small viewing area to see the entire bay. There are some free telescopes here you can use to view...whatever you want along the horizon.
Great view, bit sunny but that's not the views point, quite a few car enthusiasts revving their car, interperit this how you wish. More
Always a nice place for a stopby, very easy to missed though as it come very quickly as the road turn. But definitely worth the u-turn.
Unobstructed views of the entire bay all the way to the city which appears clearer than you may expect or can tell from the photos.
Lovely little place to stop and view the sights from! Parking and accessible by foot without having issues with the traffic! Lovely
great spot to relax after a long trip.

There's a small turnout here for cars with a nice view across the bay. There's only room for half a dozen or so cars at a time.
