Dr. Hu at One Health Vet is probably by far the best vet I have been to. Dr Hu is smart, efficient, precise and clear with her diagnosis and prescriptions, and she treat the pet with carefulness and care, while maintaining the bills to very affordable level for us! In comparison, I have been to various vet places near Camperdown, Wolli Creek and Newtown, with high ratings. One major problem with those vets are: 1. Some can't diagnose even with lots of tests, you end up spend thousands $$$ on tests and getting nothing back for things like diarrhoea and skin infections. 2. Some are very lacking in customer service, they do not tell you how to use the prescribed medicines, you have no idea about how to/often you shall apply those medications to your pet. 3. Some is not comprehensive when consider the treatment based on the background of the pet, when pet exhibit several symptoms they are not able to consider/treat them integratively, which sometimes lead to wrong medications being prescribed as a consequence. 4. Some are good at explaining the problems in the pet but not solving them, you usually will hear lots of jargons or terms thrown out but eventually they won't tell you exactly what's the main cause and therefore can't offer possible actionable solutions. I ended up coming to One Health Vet for my recent visit after those failed attempts at other vets. Indeed, Dr Hu at One Health Vet is proved to be outstandingly great. I will be coming back for future checks of my kittens here.

So many things to say. -Very attentive and listens to all your concerns, taking as much time as needed to answer all your questions until satisfied even when it's after-hours, definitely different to other vets I've been to where they completely disregard anything you say; -Actually LISTENS and takes into consideration your observations and input when diagnosing your pet; -Explains everything thoroughly and asks for your consent before proceeding, making sure you know what it is that she is doing, and more importantly why she is doing it. Been to 2 other veterinarian clinics and had issues where one vet had over the phone suggested a medical procedure whilst my dog was under general anaethetics without explaining what it was or any potential complications from having it done. Luckily I had done my research and knew what procedure he was attempting to get consent to do over the phone and questioned the vet why he suggested a procedure that was known to be ineffective once they are older than 20 weeks as they've missed the window of opportunity and their bodies have grown too much. It was a clear attempt to milk money out of someone who was willing to pay whatever it took to get their dog better. Similar issue with another hospital where they just threw tests at him without explaining any potential complications or gave options. End result was a traumatized puppy, close to 10k in vet fees and worst of all no diagnosis. BOTTOM LINE: CANT GO WRONG WITH HILARY

Services I went t to the vet however the front door was shut due to COVID contactless services which was quite understandable so I called clinic obviously got staffs inside but no one answered the phone or did not have anyone coming to outside. The staffs inside just pretending nothing happen so I left and booked online afterwards. Pricing The package deal increased in 2 weeks without telling us so I texted the receptionist request that I booked before the fees increased if I could still get previous deal package then I got response because my appointment was next month so have to charge me the new one. Respondence I text the receptionist and explained to her : Firstly when I made reservation I have asked if I should prepay and she told me that I could do on that day. Secondly you should inform us as existing appointment maker . At last I text her it’s not about the money it’s about how customers being treated and then I never got any response from her anymore. It was really unprofessional not reliable behaviour to me . As a pet owner I will highly suggest don’t go to this vet because it has no trustworthy.

This vet is so disorganized, they didn't know who was next and didn't feel like to explain to patient properly. It was such an disappointment experence taking my fur baby to this vet. We drove for about 1 hr and due to the traffic, we were late for 7 minitus than the appointment time. And this made us waited for 1 hr outsied of the vet, without any explanation but "because you are late". we understood there were other pets was waiting and you put those who arrived earlier behind us. but I do think it was ridiculous to let us wait untill the end when all the other appointments done. Last time I was came vet early and they made me waited outside for 40 mins, which I can understand but they let the one who came late to get in first.

Julian was so great, you can tell he really loves animals and gave me good, non judgemental advice about how best to care for my dog pal. It's a lovely small place that is very relaxed, not one of those corporate style doggie day spa vets. The price was cheaper than anywhere in the area which was very welcome given I'm a student. My doggy only went in for a vaccination but Julian checked him out to make sure he was in good health without charging a separate consult fee which other vets do..the tasty treats post vaccination were very welcomed by my wee hound.

Went to see Hillary this week regarding our 9yo Malty and her teeth. There is no fuss about this vet. Has Julians old records too!! A pro. Great service and all through Hillary herself. Left at 2pm and told come back at 5.30pm. Phone rings at 3.30pm. She's ready!!! 18 teeth later, dog comes bouncing out of there like it's a new day! Walked home and she ate a full dinner. Great result. Also got a discount on tooth number 18. Zero for that one. And a fair price for the other 17. Plus a freebee dental check in 6 mos. Thank you Hillary.

never get this vet again 1. less experience; (suggest 8 months kitten for clean tooth with whole body general anesthesia) 2. not friendly treat animal; (crude for checking tooth for cat in front of me) (also get this information from others friends later) 3. purpose on making fee after general anesthesia, cat get sick seriously no eating and no toilet. go to another vet, advised normally no suggestion clean tooth for only 8 months kitten as kitten is very young. the cat just scared so much and cause other illness.

We loved Julian and have been coming to Darlo Vet for years. Just had our first appointment since it swapped over. Can’t actually say what Hilary is like because we waited so long after our appointment time, we had to leave without seeing the new vet. She was so disorganized, she didn’t know who was next or what patient she was even up to. She didn’t have an assistant or receptionist, I won’t be coming back. It reminded me of a bulk bill GP, far from the lovely practice Julian ran.

Hilary performed a delicate surgery on my dog's eyelid! After searching for a vet I was very comfortable with Hilary. She's knowledgable and clear. I felt she knew more than other vets. The surgery was also done very well and extremely precise. This is important so that there's almost no scarring (or minimal). My dog's recovery was good and his scarring is non existent. They also cleaned his teeth at the same time which was better job than his previous vet.

I just bring Cooper in for Desex. Staff very friendly and lovely. Cooper got cuddle all day via recovering. When he come home. He is happy and look normally like notthing happen. Love the service even though I call back to asking so many time. They still happy to answer all the question I have. They call back to me right the way after the procedure is finish and try to keep me update because i very worry. Love this vet and recommend

Julian is a rare breed of vet these days. You won’t come out of the clinic with a whole lot of stuff you didn’t go in for or you don’t need. I took my dog for in because he had an ear infection- I left with the anti biotic drops needed to fix the problem and he suggested apple cider vinegar/water ear washes to keep them clean in future. Even gave me the syringe to do it. Doesn’t talk to you like your an idiot .

Never available. Don't answer phones. No compassion. Julian was great. The new owners don't seem to care. Bonza was hit by a car this morning and has been in distress all morning. They weren't open this morning and bonza could not walk to the 1.30 appointment and despite ringing them about 15 times no answer. Had to walk up there, but vet said didn't have any time...

Used to be really good when Julian was there. Now he’s retired and the practice is sold to someone else. Went there yesterday and everything felt rushed, disorganized and no ‘connection’ or feel so to speak with the vet towards my fur baby’s condition. My fur babies have been to that vet for more than 7 years. Think it’s time to look for a new one now. Disappointed.

Dr Hilary is very knowledgeable and very caring. She managed to take me and Manny in for urgent care despite of her very busy schedule. After 2 minutes quick check, she could tell what the problem is and provided Manny with treatment and care. Not only caring for Manny, her words gave comfort to my distress as well. I would highly recommend Hilary! She's taken over from Julian and done a wonderful job looking after Penny, our Sheltie. Julian is a hard act to follow but after trying out Vet HQ Victoria St Darlinghurst (horrendously overcharged) - I took Fergus back to Darlo vet now One Health Veterniary - very impressed with Hilary - prompt efficient service very caring and compassionate- and didn’t break the bank.

Our Frenchie recently had a couple of procedures under anaesthetic at One Health, where we’ve also been going for routine care. Hilary was very patient and thorough in answering any questions I had, and the procedure itself and recovery has gone very well. Very happy!

My dog had a scheduled visit, but also had an unexpected issue arise at the same time. I was really nervous, but the Vet talked me through everything and when he was in surgery called me. She also wanted me to update her on his progress and he’s been great since then.

Shocked and saddened that Julian Bray has retired. We had no warning. I visited mid-march and went back yesterday to find the vet shuttered up and the name changed. Not sure we want to have a business franchise as our local vet. Will need to start to look around.
