I booked over the phone and was given someone’s cancellation appointment. I was not told how long the booking would be for only that I wished to get colouring and haircut services. I provided a photo in store of what I wanted and was very clear that if the appointment was not long enough or they were unable to provide my desired look then I would just stick with natural brown. I was told they could do what I asked only for them to literally paint my blonde purple and butchered my hair. I was very clear and wish that I received honesty instead I was ridiculed and treated like I should’ve known better. I’m coming to a hair dresser for services I don’t know how to do so I expect the hairdresser to be transparent and tell me if they can or can’t provide what I’m asking before they touch my hair NOT after they’ve ruined it and expect me to come back and pay more to fix their screw up. I made it clear that my hair is thick and that I did NOT want to be one straight colour I also made it clear that I did not want a front fringe but clearly I was not listened to. I expressed my unhappiness and all I got was that it is my own fault and that I have to re book for the correct appointment of highlights as they didn’t have time.let’s not forget the fact that most of my appointment I was left unattended and interrupted and the worst part was the hairdresser kept walking off to help others whilst she was cutting my hair. This salon ruined my hair to the point that I can’t even go elsewhere to have it repaired ! They charged me a ridiculous amount and didn’t even offer a discount even when I kept telling them it was not what I asked for, in the end I just agreed that Is was nice since they were being so rude when I wasn’t agreeing making me fearful that they would purposely cause more damage.They were argumentative , they kept telling me that i look even better and that it looks amazing and how happy they are. It’s not about the hairdresser being happy and if they were so happy they would’ve taken photos for their Instagram so clearly they were aware of the fact that they made it look like a 5 year old did my hair. I will defiantly be making people aware of this salon. They can’t even be honest and transparent because they’re so money hungry and when you do tell them you’re unhappy they just butcher your hair as punishment. The staff need to be taught how to take a negative and not bully the client into accepting a stuff up that was very very different from what was asked. The only positive was the apprentice washing my hair, she was very kind and provided a good wash.

Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else! My appointment was at 11:30am and I left the salon at 4:45pm that day. I had a 30min consultation at the start where I asked to go lighter, ash blond and solid color with no strips. I walked out at 4:45pm looking like a zebra with a very dark base and bleached copper strips. They tried to convince me it was what I had asked for and that it looked great. After 10 mins of us discussing my disappointment I was asked to give it time and a couple of washes. My hair felt dry and damaged from the bleach and the color a disaster so I came back in a few days and I was assured my color would be fixed. There I was waiting to be looked after while Jorge took his time attending to me while also attending to 10 other client. The result another disaster after spending 3 hours. He took one look after drying my hair off that GE needed to do more and at the point my 9 month old baby had enough so we had to go soon. I was left speechless. The owner attempted to convince me again that it was a job well done and better than what I walked in with. Well... I went from zebra to more dry and damaged zebra.. I was almost in tears. At this point, I have wasted 2 days and $380. So I was asked to come back again so Robert could fix my hair. I made another appointment and on the 4rd appointment Ross (who I must say is lovely) agreed that it was patchy and a disaster. The fix however at this stage was to go darker to cover the mistakes and there I was back to the hair color that I walked into the salon the first time. My hair is now so dry and damaged it feels like straw all the time. I could have saved myself 3 days and $380 by not visiting this salon. So there, that’s my experience of the Oscar Oscar salon in southland!

I had my hair done by Anne yesterday. I had been having a bad week and isolation was starting to get to me. Getting a haircut was just want the doctor prescribed. I went in not expecting to leave with a total hair transformation but I honestly do not regret the decision. Anne took such good care of me and chose colours to suit the colour of both my eyes and skin, everything she did was really well thought out and she made me feel like I was in really good hands. I had never had a professional colour before and now I just want to keep going back. I was in there for quite a few hours but it was honestly just so nice to have some company and to be pampered in lieu of everything that has happened over the last few months. Not only have I had a total hair transformation but my eyes and skin look completely different. I also feel amazing. My hair is quite long and it is something I have spent a lot of time working towards, Anne made sure she cut as little as possible but also cut the hair around my face to frame my features really nicely. Honestly if you have been feeling a bit down and just need a bit of self care, get your hair done! Everyone is doing it really tough right now now and hairdressers need us to ensure they can stay open with everything happening in the world right now. So book in, you really won't regret it. Thankyou Anne, you have really made me see myself in a completely different light. See you in 6 weeks :D

Very disappointed of the service at Oscar Oscar Southland. I paid $340 for a bleach and tone!! Not even close to what I asked for. I went into the store asked for a nice ombré grey I understand it’s difficult and damaging to achieve the exact colour I wanted in one session. I was greeted by the manager and provided with a quote, he specifically said they could do a ash blonde colour in the first season then if my hair turns brassy I can come back to tone it free of cost. Then after 6 weeks come back to do the grey color. The total cost was estimated to be $400.Then the hairdresser Emily? did my bleach and toner took around four hours I waited patiently for the whole process to be done.Then she tried to sell me a whole set of keraste products for another $180 I found it I could get the same geniue products online for only $120. I meant I already spent $340 I didn’t want a hair cut because I had a hair cut two weeks before I came in to get my hair down. My hair was already shoulder length. She over charged me because the haircut was $95 but she only took $60 off the total cost. I just wanted to leave and go home so I paid for it anyway. I feel like I was ripped off by their dishonesty and greediness. My hair was left dry and damaged my ends were fried. Overall wasn’t a good experience at all, I went to my regular hairdresser who was away for holiday to get my hair fixed at a much affordable cost and friendlier service.

Worst experience and a absolute waste of $110 for a hair cut. Booked appointment southland for 3:00pm (Sunday 23rd feb). So surprising as I normally come to the salon as a client. After being ignored finally someone came over to me at 3:42pm! 40 minutes later. No apology, a hairdresser Christie or crystal can’t remember her name started the interdiction with. What do we want today? I told her that I had waited 40 minutes and that I had a BBQ I was going to and her reaction oh nothing else. During the hair cut she was yawning so much that I even asked if she was tired and she replied “ no some times I need to burp, so I yawn instead?”. I dident even know what to say to that.. She rushed the hair cut as she was clearly not interested after I had said I waited a while. The receptionist (older lady with long blond hair) diden’t even look me in the eye. Once I paid, she finally said oh sorry about the wait and I said it would have been nice if someone had come to me just to explained. As I understand some clients take longer and did not appreciate the silent treatment from her when I asked how much longer will it be. Especially because all she seemed to be doing at the back of the counter was sitting on her phone and chatting to another staff me member.

I have been a loyal and very very happy client of Oscar Oscar at the Southland location "it all starts from the top" Oscar I can honestly say as a weekly client for the last six months the elite service and continuity of each and every staff member there is extraordinary. Not only does each one of the Oscar Oscar team excel in their hair styling skills but the very genuine attention making you feel pampered with tea, massage and pleasant and professional conversation. I must make a special mention to Tania Her skills and kind demeanour and fabulous sense of humour is infectious and delightful I know for myself and having chatted to other clients we agree that we go there for the calm and happy vibe of the salon and all the team that pitch in seamlessly to ensure every person feels very special Thank Rob and all you divine peeps there for truly giving me the best hairdressing experience I have ever had. I understand that when you get a service from someone in training that you likely won't get a 5 star quality result. What I don't understand is that when a salon advertises themselves at that level and admits the faults their trainee has made then why do they not teach them the correct way or even teach them how to fix their mistake? Maybe the trainer should not be getting her roots touched up while training....... How can a salon of your stature claim to be so good and take on apprentices only to teach them how to botch someones hair, admit the mistake and then turn around and say "yeah it's patchy but we won't fix it for you". So now I'm left with hair that looks like a 3 year old got involved and I have to go pay full price to have this fixed. If I'd known this would be the case I would've skipped supporting your apprentice or your salon and gone somewhere professional in the first place. Absolutely disgusted with everything from the service to the end result and your company should be ashamed.

This was my first visit to Oscar Oscar and it was a truly cathartic experience. My hair colour was perfect and my hair felt wonderful too. The staff were friendly, professional and worked like a well oiled machine. Team work at its best! Michelle and Ece worked on my hair which I’m sure was a challenge as I have a lot of very curly and long hair. They worked tirelessly in consultation with others and the outcome was a very satisfied customer. If you like being pampered and treated to excellence and professionalism then Oscar Oscar is highly recommended. You get value for your dollar. Some might say why does great hair come at a high price? Well if you prefer to get a discounted cut and colour then you will get what you pay for. I had problem hair which had been mismanaged for many years and Oscar Oscar came to my aid and have gained another satisfied customer. I will definitely be coming back! Next appointments booked. Rob and Veronica went above and beyond to not only fix my hair (that I had coloured at another salon) but to explain to me why my hair started to go the colour it did (a tad green) and being that I’m new to colouring hair they explained everything very clearly to me. They completely understood the look I was trying to achieve from the start summed up the natural look I was going for the minute I sat down... it was refreshing to get hair dresses that didn’t want to change me but rather embraced the look I was going for. Aside from that the salon staff were friendly and engaging with not only me but my one year old son, the staff were also tentative in making me feel comfortable and always ready to get me a coffee or water. Finally the sensory journeys at the start of the seating and at the basin as part of my treatment was absolutely amazing! I will now be getting a treatment every time. Thanks guys !!! This was my first time at the Oscar Oscar Southland and I can honestly say I was so impressed by the whole experience! I was greeted with a welcome shoulder massage, a latte and delicious cookies at this magical place and left with hands down the best colour and cut I've ever had! The professionalism and knowledge base at this salon is next level! The salon was so busy when I was there, but no one appeared rushed or stressed and I think that is a real credit to the salon manager, Robert. Robert looked after me with my colour- he really listened to my requests, made recommendations for hair care and absolutely nailed the brief! I had an experienced art director trim my hair and then had the most enthusiastic junior staff member do an awesome blow wave with big bouncy curls in prep for my cocktail party later in the night! Couldn't fault it! 10/10! Thank you again, I'll see you in a few weeks time!

I got my colour done by a very knowledgeable stylist, Rachael, who took the time in consultation to explain that we needed to begin a journey to achieve the colour that I was after and not to expect it in one session, but potentially up to 3 sessions to maintain the integrity of my hair. With longer healthy hair I didn’t want to risk any damage and took her advice! With a very large service my hair looks and feel incredible and have had people complimenting my hair all week! A younger staff member (I think his name was Caleb) styles my hair for me too and I loved it. It lasted me 4 days which doesn’t usually happen!! All in all the staff were so super friendly and you definitely get what you pay for as you can see that the staff here know exactly what they’re talking about and educate you along the way! Can not recommend enough, I will definitely be back!

After an initially poor experience at this salon where I was left waiting for quite some time and wasnt actually seen I was contacted by the salon. They arranged for me to come back in and have my appointment. I was given a 5 star experience. I was looked after by Tania. Her hair cutting skills are phenomenal!! I have never had a hair dresser cut my hair so meticulously and put so much effort into ensuring my hair looks fantastic no matter what style I decide to wear it in. In what began in a disappointing experience, my visit to Oscar Oscar Southland ended up being wonderful. The ladies were absolutely lovely, very personable and easy to talk to and made sure I was very well looked after. In the end it all worked out and I am inlove with my new hair! I recently tried Oscar Oscar Southland for the first time and I could not be happier with my results!! I’ve been dying my hair for years now but my experience with this salon left me with the best colour and best quality of hair I’ve ever had before! I know that this salon is now going to be the one I will continually come back to. The staff were all incredibly nice and made me feel so comfortable my entire experience. I definitely could trust them and trust that they would achieve the look I wanted. We did a blonde balayage and it turned out beautifully - they cut my hair to suit my face and also in a way that allows me to style it at home with ease. Even the treatments they put in my hair have been amazing, I can’t believe how damage free and silky soft my hair is now. BEST salon I’ve honestly ever been to, would highly recommend to anyone.

I've been a client at Oscar Oscar Southland for a couple of years now and recently saw a photo taken just before Robert started looking after my hair. It prompted me to write this review.....what a difference! My hair is healthy, long and styled in a way that suits my face and my lack of ability with a hair dryer! They really understand hair and the staff are so accommodating and friendly, On one occasion I wasn't happy with the colour of my foils....even though it was exactly what I asked for once it was done I decided the colour I had chosen wasn't right and Robert sorted it out for me at no charge. I've recommended Oscar to 7 friends and they are all equally as happy with the service. If you're looking for a salon that can truly transform your hair then this is the place to visit!

I asked for 2 requests, trim my hair so it is long enough to tie back, and add more hair into my curtain bangs but keep them long enough so that I can tuck them behind my ears, I even added “ I hope it’s not to much to ask” and.. none of my requests were met, she cut the most shortest layers into my hair and cut my hair so short i can’t tie it up at all, I tried to work with half up half down, I can’t even do that. My curtain bangs end at my eyes and are so short they just stick forward no matter what I do. She told me “you can work with this, I love it, your a new women.” I sure am.. i look like I came face to face with a whipper snipper. I looked in the mirror this morning and cried I am so upset.

Overpriced. Looking at the website before I made the appointment I thought the prices were reasonable but I am assuming that their add ons is what makes it expensive. I went in for just a colour and blow wave. When I was seated my hairdresser came over to talk about my colour and then came back with a price of $265, I was somewhat shocked but didn't feel like I could say anything. Then, my hairdresser was too busy with other clients so I was given a much more junior staff member to do my hair. Once everything was done, I went to pay to find out that I was actually being charged $295. Just for a colour, no foils or anything special...just a colour. Given my first experience, I won't be returning.

After moving to Melbourne, I've tried various places without success. I was recommended to try Oscar Oscar after a disasterous hair cut from a local hairdresser in Cheltenham. I have been well looked after ever since I came to Oscar Oscar. I know the prices are higher than I've paid in the past, but from previous experiences, this place is worth the price. I come away happy, feeling like a new person. The comments friends make says it all. Julie is fabulous. She listens to me on what I'm after, and I've never had to wait long for my appointment. If you can afford it, this place is well worth going to, and Julie is the best hair dresser I've found in the area.

This is the only hairstylist I will ever take my son to, my little one is 6 and very sensitive, the staff are lovely , friendly and thoughtful . Rob cuts my sons hair all by hand and scissors . He was the first person who actually spoke to me about the style of my sons hair, how his hair falls naturally etc and had the patience, humour and respect for a little person as much as he does for an adult. his cutting skills are nothing short of outstanding. Not just cutting his hair but the whole experience .This is the crown of hairdressers/hair stylists as far as my family are concerned ..I can highly recommend Oscar Oscar.

Fantastic team and service! I had been a little worried trying this place for the first time due to the mixed reviews, but everything was of excellent quality! Jorge listened attentively when I was explaining what I was after and delivered perfectly. There was a nice vibe to the studio and the team worked smoothly together. I had a balayage done and could not be happier with the blend/melt and colours. I passed on the haircut as I thought it was a little on the pricey side but I would definitely go back for the colour! They also did a really lovely job on a blow wave and curls, which they did complimentary :)

I took my 11 year old daughter to this salon for a haircut. What an amazing experience. From the time you walk in you are treated as an extremely valued customer. You are given 100 per cent individual attention. My daughter received the best haircut she has ever had....Rachael was so thorough and has extensive experience. She received a lovely neck massage before her haircut. Rachael also took time to explain to my daughter how to care for her hair particularly when swimming a lot. I have never left a review for a hairdresser before but I just had to after this appointment. Will not go anywhere else now!!

After breaking up with my long term hairdresser I needed a change and someone who would listen to my ideas and create some care and renewed excitement around my salon experiences. Why I didn't come to Oscar Oscar sooner, I don't know. I have now found the most wonderful care, guidance, professionalism, warmth and high skill in Julie - an absolute artist when it comes to knowledge and creation, I could not be happier. I recommend getting organised and booking in advance as Julie in particular can book out many months ahead. A truly fabulous salon experience, staff are so kind and Julie is a master!

Having not had a haircut in 6 months it really was a treat for me. The staff were professional and personal and adhered to a strict Covid-19 safety plan including sanitizer spray of all the work areas , hand sanitizer and a special code to keep track of who was coming into the salon. It was a little strange getting a haircut with a mask on but I was made very comfortable and therefore I was happy to wear a mask. I left my appointment with a super sharp asymmetrical bob cut to perfection by the fabulous Rachel. This is a fantastic salon with sensational hairdressers and I highly recommend it.

I've been going to Oscar Oscar in Southland for 3+ years now and I've always found them to be absolutely wonderful. The staff are honestly some of the most accommodating and friendly people I've met, and they're very knowledgeable - they now know my style so well I really don't need to tell them what I want; they all know exactly what I'm going to like. They really do go above and beyond to make you happy, and that's why they're hands-down my salon of choice. From the massage on arrival, to the cookies and coffee, and just the all-round friendly environment, I can't recommend them enough.

I’ve been going to Oscar Oscar Southland for about 2 years now and I would not change my hairdresser for the world! Dani has a special place in my heart. She is amazing, she listens, knows exactly what I want- every time I leave the salon I am obsessed with my hair (I might be checking myself out in every reflection). She is an exceptional hairdresser, I always get complements on my colour- I have naturally dark hair and she gives me the perfect ashy blonde, everything is blended to perfection. She is professional, makes you feel comfortable and above all knows and loves her craft.

When I first walked into Oscar Oscar Southland I was just after a blow wave, Julie sat me down and had a lovely consultation about my hair and ended up having a colour, cut, treatment and a blow wave! I was blown away by the whole service and loved the little welcome massage and hand massages felt like I was being pampered at the hot springs! Not to mention the brands they have introduced me to cough cough** Shu Uemura have helped me transform my hair into the most healthiest and shiniest it’s ever been. I’ve now been going to Oscar Oscar for 3 years and haven’t looked back ❤️

Jorge cut and dyed my hair. He was absolutely AMAZING. I love the colour and the haircut. My colleague even complimented on the colour and asked me what colour I had on my hair. He has excellent skills and gives great advice. He spent a good amount of time on my hair and paid great attention to my opinion to make sure that my hair turns out to be wonderful. From now on, I will only go to Jorge to cut and dye my hair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jorge. I have never written any reviews for a hairdresser before but Jorge. He deserves a million stars!

Jorge and Robert saved my LIFE and self esteem. After an awful experience at another salon, I came in in tears with bright red hair (my goal had been a purple/pink pastel colour - talk about a nightmare). They consoled me and over the past few weeks have taken me from dry, red hair to an incredibly healthy soft blonde. I have been having my hair cut and highlighted at Oscar Oscar Salon Southland for years now. The reason I started there was because I popped in to have a fringe trim one day, and the service was so professional I went back to have a full service. My hair is difficult (thick and long) and it always looks fantastic. I get complimented on it on a regular basis. The most important thing to remember is that communication is key, and the owner is always there ready to please the customer. This business is all about the client!

My favourite place to unwind, relax and enjoy my time being pampered. As a blonde I have found it difficult in the past having my colour done and achieving the right tones I prefer in my hair. Oscar oscar southland manage to get me to my desired colour and tone every time without a doubt, I highly recommend this salon especially trusting them if you love a great blonde. Hi !! it has been about 1 month since leaving the salon after a full head of foils, toner & root smudge and i am still in awe at the lovely colour. Most importantly, I'd like to thank Caleb for tending to me that day. He was very attentive and caring with my hair. He helped me understand the process at each step, future recommendations as well as hair maintenance rituals. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and I must say they do everything they can to make sure you are happy and satisfied. Klara has been my hairdresser for years and I wouldn’t go and see anyone else for my hair. I had the most wonderful experience today at Oscar Oscar Southland. Candice gave me an awesome new style cut. She really took the time to find out what I wanted and gave me suggestions that worked for me and my hair. From the planning, to the Kerastase shampoo and treatment, head and hand massage, Nespresso, and cut and style, I enjoyed every moment! Candice exhibited excellent attention to detail and the result is a style cut that I am extremely happy with! Thank you so much!

Busy place but not too is it to ask if I wanted a t a coffee or water. Rachel was my hairdresser gave me a lovely head massage as she washed my hair. I am so happy with haircut, best haircut I've had in a long while. All in all a great experience easy to get to and whilst parking was busy I did get a park quite easily. The salon is very clean and cut hair on the floor was cleaned up quickly and swept up. All staff very attentive without being over the top. Very happy overall

I had an appointment to get my hair dyed with Dani on Thursday evening. My hair was previously green and she was able to totally transform it . I asked for dark blue and aqua blue and she gave me a fantastic mix of those colours. I'm so happy with how it looks and will be back. The atmosphere at the salon is really welcoming, thank you for all being so friendly . Dani did an outstanding job and the other staff who washed my hair were great too! I highly recommend them! I messed up my hair so badly with box dye, and I made an appointment with Oscar Oscar to fix my hair. I was so happy when first entering the salon, as they sat down and talked through what I was looking for, and even though the salon was busy I got a lot of one-on-one attention. My final hair style was exactly what I was looking for, and the stylist was so nice and pleasant. My overall experience was great, they were quick, efficient, and very attentive. Thank you!

Worst haircut for many years. Made appointment with usual stylist, after waiting told could come back in an hour or someone else could cut who was knowledgeable of my hair type. Reluctantly agreed. Did not listen to me, cut too short and left a frizzy mess with odd layers of different lengths. Stylist just kept applying more styling products to dry hair which only made it worse. A shame because previous experience very good. Will not be back.

Absolutely love the experience I get every time I visit this salon! Seen Alison only 2 times and she is absolutely the best, knows what’s best for my hair and it definitely shows when I use the products she recommends. I am definitely a regular now will not go anywhere else as I haven’t had the best experiences with hairdressers in the past. 100% will recommend anyone to go there! Ive had my hair cut and coloured by 4 different hairdressers now at Oscar Oscar Southland and have always been very happy with the results (& I'm not easily pleased when it comes to my hair). A couple of times I'd tried other (cheaper) hairdressers with less than perfect results and Oscar Oscar fixed it for me. I feel confident I could book in with anyone at OO and leave a happy customer. And that's coming from a fussy blonde!!

I’ve been going to Oscar Oscar in the Southland shopping centre since the start of the year for treatments and cuts. I’ve had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Ally, one of the hairdressers there. She is so amazing with everything she does, making feel at home, always leaving me happy with the results I get. Always have a laugh and leave with more knowledge about hair and styling. Never let her go she’s incredible xxxx

Amazing, professional!! I love having my hair done here. I would highly recommend!! Fantastic experience from the start with a massage, to the finish of a blow dry. Clean and current hairdressers and the staff are superb. My hairstylist is a complete genius when it comes to styling my hair. I have long, thick, blond hair. She truly performs miracles when dealing with my hair. Just love it!! I will be a customer for life!

Horrible experience! I asked for lighter highlights, but left with much darker hair because the girls left the toner in my hair for too long because they were busy taking Instagram pics of a client with Rainbow hair. When I questioned the colour, the hairdresser said it was the bad lightening in the saloon and that when I went home I would be able to see it clearer. After $400 I left extremely disappointed. Never again!

This place is cool, friendly and professional. My hair artist Julie did an exquisite hair colouring in a way to attain a beautiful, complicated hues with the visual illusion of more volume than my hair actually have. The atmosphere of the salon is pleasantly amiable, personnel's hospitality made me feel so comforted and calm. I am very happy with my experience, especially in comparison with the other hair studios.

One of the best hair colours I've ever had! This salon is next level. Robert is so talented, as is the rest of the salon team. From the welcome shoulder massage to the finishing blow wave you'll always feel like you're in very capable hands! I have never been a fan of hair salons in Shopping Centres but surprisingly you feel so private and comfortable. A++ Will be recommending to anyone. So glad I found you guys!

I’ve been going to Tania at Oscar Oscar Southland since I moved to Melbourne about 8 years ago. Being a blonde I’m so fussy with my hair but Tania always knows how to create a fresh clean blonde while looking after the health of my hair. Tania’s knowledge is exceptional and I always walk out feeling pampered and well looked after by her and the rest of the team. Highly recommend Tania especially if you’re blonde.

Julie and Robert were lovely and did a great job on my cut and colour. Robert did a fab job of my colour - natural and healthy looking. He is very skilled and also really cares about the customer experience, making sure every client is happy with the service provided. I really appreciated the time Julie takes to not just style my hair but give tips on how I can do it at home. Will be a regular from now on.

Best Hairdressing Salon going around. Super professional with there advise and service. They are honest and will tell you if what you want to do with your hair will work or not. I have always left feeling super happy with the result whether its just a cut or a full head of foils/colour. All the staff are absolutely beautiful and its worth every penny. The whole experience at OscarOscar was amazing. The team provides a professional yet personal service. I felt very looked after. Charlotte listen to my needs and her work with colour was excellent. Jorge is a perfectionist, has dedicated approach and cheery attitude. The hair cut is exactly what I wanted. Both stylists took their time and really perfected everything. I had the lovely Anne help fix my crazy mop of curly hair. I walked in with the aim of going completely full head of blonde from my natural dark brown and today Anne was so amazing she achieved my hair goal with making sure every step of the way I was happy with the decisions. Today I went to Oscar Oscar Southland for the first time and had the most wonderful experience. Robert cut and coloured my hair perfectly to match my face shape and skin tone. And the two young women that washed and dried my hair were absolutely lovely. I loved the positive energy, personalised and genuine approach and top level talent. First time at the salon and Ross looked after my highlights, trim and treatment. Ross is a pleasure to deal with and thankfully talked me out of cutting my hair, mwah! The extras on top are the shoulder, head and hand massages...gorgeous! My hair looks and feels amazing as the products used are as first class as the expertise in using the products. Alicia, Robert and the team were very professional. Great customer service!! They listened and gave me their opinion. Loved the concept of a massage with relaxing herbal liquorice and mint tea. I was very unhappy with the colour done by another (work from home) hairdresser so I booked in for a colour with Veronica. The whole experience was amazing from the welcome neck massage to the hand massage at the basin. Veronica worked wonders on my hair and has given me the most natural blonde highlights I have ever had - nailed the brief! I will be booking again!

What a great experience! I had my hair done by Jorge and his team. I had the Summer refresh package done. Which included a colour,cut and a blow wave. I always have an amazing experience when visiting Oscar Oscar Southland. The staff there are all lovely but in particular Dani, she is always making sure I am happy with my hair when I leave there and will go to an extra measure to make all of her clients happy and feeling their best. ALWAYS come here to get my hair done by Ally. She is incredible and I trust her with my life!! She has revamped my hair multiple times, handling fashion colours and style haircuts! I had my first experience at Oscar Oscar Salons Southland today and I will definitely be back! Jorge is an amazing stylist and definitely created what I wanted done with my hair. Would not recommend. Was quoted a price prior to starting and then paid nearly 200 more than the price. My hair colour was no way near what I asked for and the cut was extremely poor. I spent more than half my appointment with an apprentice. It felt over booked and chaotic. Do not recommend going! Legit cried in my car afterwards.

Really happy with my hair cut, and my hairdresser’s attention to detail. They did not skimp on product, which I’ve noticed in previous hair salons. My hair was also styled really well with a blow dry, and they definitely put time into it where others would have preferred to finish up quickly. Overall a really good experience

Great service and Rob is a master of colouring hair. Only downside was that I ended up being stuck in the salon for 6.5 hours!... I've coloured my hair before plenty of times and it has never taken this long. Staff were very understanding and apologetic. Would I go again? Yes.

Jorge absolutely butchered my hair and left me with a mess that will take years to regrow back into nicer layers. I went back twice to try and fix it, free of charge, but even the lovely girls that helped me could only do so much.

My lovely stylist Anna did a great job with my request for a 1950s hairstyle for a friend’s party. I got compliments all night on my hair! The salon is very comfortable, they use top notch products including Dyson hair dryers.
