I visited this salon last week and had the worst experience i have ever had in my life at a hairdressers. My hairdresser had very long blonde hair and was young like myself, i am 24 but i did not catch her name. She proceeded to tell me how unhealthy my hair was and judge the state of my hair as she told me i could not go lighter. I accepted this but then when i asked if i go darker she toned my hair the exact same colour it already was! and kept trying to cut it shorter when i told her no multiple times. This unfortunately was not even the worst part. She had no customer service skills whatsoever and didn't say a word to me when doing my hair AND then she left me mid blow dry to cut someone elses hair and she chatted happily with them. She left me with a trainee who was also very rude and could barely blow dry my hair properly. This appointment took me hours because this stylist just left me and cost me $328!!! it was an absolute disgrace. I look forward to hearing back from the team.

Been to the salon twice. The first visit was fantastic. Told my stylist I was looking at going blonde. We achieved that in a very expensive very long session and I left happy. I was advised to go back in 6-8 weeks to touch up my toner. I went back and she toned my hair brown. I discussed with her that I wanted to stay blonde before the toner went on, but she still put a brown toner all over my lightened hair, making the first session (and money spent then) completely wasted. After leaving and seeing what it actually looked like in non-salon lighting I tried to call and asked for it to be fixed only to be told I would have to pay to re-lighten my hair or wait for the toner to wash out. I'm writing this review a few weeks after I got it done as the toner has washed out horribly and left my hair looking an almost burnt orange colour. It's a shame because I really liked the way my hair turned out in the first session, but will not be back because I've lost trust in the salon.

I have been going to Oscar Oscar for a very long time and spent money there since it’s not cheap. Usually Katerina does my hair but most of the time she’s fully booked. I haven’t been since COVID pandemic , maybe a year or less than 2 years. I rang today to book my hair colour and cut with Katerina on Saturday but the woman I have spoken to demanding for $ 100 deposit today since apparently I am a new guest. I have explained to her that I have been going to their salon for a very long time but she is very dismissive, rude and telling me that I can complain to the management. Wow, what a wonderful service! You think she will take into consideration to look in their file my records and how much money I spent it there. Staff like her needs to learn proper customer service because they are giving bad name to the company she’s working for.

I heard from a friend that this salon did such a great job on her hair. So I thought I'd check it out. A few months later and I'm never looking back. Kathy did such an amazing job that my hair now looks and feels amazing! No more broken hair or split ends. My hair feels nourished and revived, no longer over oily at the roots and stringy at the ends. Her customer service is amazing, she is always great to have a chat to and talk about anything with. It is never a dull moment with her. And she listens to you with what you want done with your hair, and it looks better than how you imagined! I could never ask for more. They go above and beyond! I highly suggest you give them a go!

A BIG thank you the amazing Chloe who spent nearly the whole day with me today. Your knowledge, service and effort is absolutely amazing. She took the time to listen to what I want, gave me realistic expectations, gave me the most consistent beautiful colour (with the absolute mess of a hair she was given!) most of all looked after my hair. I visited Oscar Oscar for the first time yesterday to get my hair done. Charlie worked on my hair and was amazing from the consultation she was thorough and really wanted to make sure I would get the look I wanted, through to styling my hair she was amazing.... Really lovely girl and she did an amazing job I could not be happier with my hair.... Definately will be revisiting Oscar Oscar in the future the whole experience was amazing friendly professional salon with people who obviously have a passion about hair and want you to leave with the results you wanted.............. This was the first time and last time For me in this salon. I expected something special compare to other cheap hair cut and style. I explained what I want and she promised me to do what I have shown her. It was below standard, I myself can do better job. I have a fine hair and asked for more volume , she made my hair look even more finer with less volume. They charged me $180 for haircut , treatment and wavy style. The customer service and massage were the only good things about this salon. I am sooo unhappy to pay that much for the service that I can easily get with $50. Unfair....

Absolutely loved everyone at Oscar Oscar salon, from the moment I sat down I received a neck massage to just having a chat and how comfortable everyone makes you feel! My hair looks and feels great! Literally the only negative I have to say is I walked out of there paying $285, I'm a brunette and only had the roots coloured - no full head colour or cut was included. I did receive a treatment and blow dry but was really shocked when I was quoted this as the most I've ever paid for my hair is $160 being brunette. Thanks to Oscar Oscar overall for a great experience though!

I've been coming Oscar Oscar Salons at Highpoint for a couple of years now and their service has been amazing everytime. My naturally dark Asian hair has been difficult to work with and I've been to many salons in the past. Oscar Oscar salon have the most attentive staff and they were ready to work with me to achieve the hair I was after instead of steering me towards a hairstyle I didn't want. Chloe is my usual stylist and she always ensures I am happy and satisfied with my hair. All the staff are lovely and guarantee you leave with a giant smile

I've been having such an amazing experience at Oscar Oscar Salons over the past few months. My go to girl is Katerina and she is amazing!! When I first came, my hair was literally so dead and dry but with her guidance and amazing talent, she has brought my hair back to life and I love it and feel more confident! It is pricey ladies and gents but I have to say worth it. I have curly course hair and Bianca has given me two of the best haircuts I've ever had. So many compliments and curly girls asking me where I got it cut!. She really knows curly hair and how to cut, shape and style it, totally brought mine back to life. I've also had beautiful highlights in by Nhu as well. There are lots of touches that make the experience at the salon so relaxing and the staff are next level sweet and friendly. Curly girls do yourself a favour and see Bianca!!

I had a decent haircut that I am happy with. I was told very quickly and without really gaining consent, "we will do a treatment as well it will be this much" this amount was mumbled as she walked away. I really think you must clearly tell the customer how much the service will cost and wait for them to except. This treatment was nothing other than using the Kerastase range to shampoo and condition.... the water was hot and cold and I had water running down my face. My wash cut and dry cost $194 sorry but that is just ridiculous.

I walked in this salon to enquire about hair cut after seeing ratings and hype of this salon online (named as one of the best salon in Melbourne). However the receptionist was extremely rude. She had no basic manner or ethics to interact with clients. I just don’t understand businesses nowadays they think if they have some name, they can show attitude and talk rudely with their customers (intending customers). Also to the staff members if you don’t like to talk nicely to customers please don’t work in customer service.

I had my hair done by Charlie at the Oscar Oscar salon in Highpoint. I have above shoulder length hair and was attending a wedding, Charlie did a styled up hairstyle for me, she did such a great job that I looked better than I did on my own wedding day. I got so many compliments all night, but the best thing was it stayed in place all day and night. If your looking to have your hair styled for a wedding or any other special occasion I highly recommend Charlie, you will not be disappointed.

My go to for anything related to my hair. I've had problems with trying to find a good hairdresser tbat I know I can always trust - most places you tend to get different people and sometimes I get someone and I wonder how they got their job! Impressed with how much knowledge and talent the hairdressers have and they always can give specific advice on my hair type. Love the online booking system and their booking confirmation so I remember when my appointment is on. Highly recommend!

Terrible service, started 20min late, hair washing experience was sickening (water going cold then super hot then cold, splashing on my face), hairdresser added a treatment without telling me how much it was, treatment was applied rush and badly and these 2 girls kept switching back and forth for some reason hair cut was ok but def cut bangs shorter than i asked + more layers than i asked big regret going here thinking it will be similar to st kilda

I visited Oscar Oscar for the first time today, after being left scared by an incompetent hair dresser some years back I was a little apprehensive. Charlie did an amazing job at putting my mind at ease, making sure I was comfortable! She did an AMAZING job on my hair I absolutely love it. Also recommended complimentary products to help repair my hair. Also gave me hints and tips for styling and how to do curls. So impressed will definitely be back! Won a customer here.

Had a great experience at Oscar Oscar during a busy Sunday. I selected Rabi as he is the senior creative director there. Of course, we had a few interruptions during my haircut due to his expertise and stature, not surprised his team needed advice. Once finished, they not only offered an apology but a generous discount without me asking. The haircut was great, I gave him nothing to work it and I walked away feeling great about my new look. I was really nervous coming to the hairdresser for the first time in a long time, but Katerina was so kind and non-judgmental about the state of my hair after so much neglect, (home-bleaching during lockdown and months of regrowth). I've been going to Oscar Oscar for a few months now and always receive fantastic service from all of the staff there. My goal is to have long and healthy hair in time for my wedding and Stevie has been really helpful in helping me to achieve this through the Kerastase treatment. Stevie has also cut my hair and has done such a great job. I was very happy with it and feel so happy with how healthy my hair looks :)

I've been a regular at Oscar Oscar Highpoint for the last 4-5 years and I love coming back because everyone just so wonderful. Warm, professional, and really really good at what they do. I'm pretty adventurous with my hair styles and colours and I love the fact I can go in with a weird idea and they bring it to life effortlessly. I normally don’t write reviews but I had to for Rabih. During the consultation he made sure what I wanted was understood; I used only one reference photo for the style I wanted and he got it spot on. During the service Rabih made me feel so comfortable the entire time, he was so friendly and put so much time and effort into his work. Nhu is a saviour. Cannot thank her enough for fixing my hair after it had been ‘hacked off’ by a hairdresser that I’d decided to try in my area. Nhu not only blended it to my liking but also suggested a colour to balance out the hideous colour I had done previously. I have been going here for almost 2 years. Their service is next level, from the hanging up of your jackets, to the shoulder and head massages and the cookie which comes with the complimentary coffees. The staff is really friendly and professional. They listen to what you want and delivers it better than expected. They are a bit on the pricey side of haircuts but it is well worth it!

Being an older woman in her 60s, it's important for me to look great. Brooke has always pleased me with her talent in styling and colouring. All the staff make me feel very welcome. My hair really needs a overhaul after the covid lockdown. Can't wait to get to my appointment this week after 14 weeks of no hairdresser.

Booked an appointment to have my daughter’s hair styled for an event. The stylist mentioned my daughter had a short bob. However I was charged $80 for a long blow wave, plus $35 for extra styling. I’m happy to pay for extra styling. But I don’t appreciate being charged $80 for a basic blow wave.

Over $300 to have my hair coloured .. very simple all over colour I had to go back to have my greys fixed because it was not covered properly. 1 week later I'm noticing my hair underneath is all grey . I can't be bothered going back again. I just won't return. Not a good experience.
