I recently had to find a new hair dresser to help fix my awful hair. I walked into Oscar Oscar with 5 month regrowth and outgrown but stained green/teal hair, with all sorts of banding and different shades of yellows/blondes underneath. It was an absolute mess. I knew this was going to be a challenge but after my consultation with Holli I knew I was in good hands. She didn't set any unrealistic expectations, we both knew the green may - or may not - come out and that we would deal with the outcome as it happened. I'm not fussy with what colour I would end up having but I still greatly appreciated her honesty and professional take on the situation. I went in with no expectations because I had no idea what was going to happen. However, Holli (you absolute weapon!) worked her magic and the green came straight out of my hair. Not only that, but she got me back to the lavender pastel hair of my dreams. All in the same day! I'm honestly still stunned at the results. Holli did such an incredible job, I cannot recommend her enough! My hair has stayed strong and healthy and now it's finally all an even colour! I was at the salon for 7 hours and catered for at every moment. All of the staff were so lovely to me and made sure I was comfortable throughout the day. What a great experience! I can't wait to see what fun, crazy colourful hair looks I can achieve with Holli in the future :) Thank you so much again to you all! After year's of wasting my time & money on less than average Hair care services, I can now confidently say that I have found my forever hairdressing salon in Oscar Oscar Brisbane City! This Salon has always exceeded my expectations with every visit & service I have ever booked with them. I have never been very confident with my hair as it is very fine and had a little bit of damage over the years of excessive bleaching and heat styling. Making my first appointment with Hollie was a breath of fresh air! This woman is an absolute star in her field as a hair, colour & extension technician. I have never felt more comfortable and at ease with a hairdresser before. She has continued to go above and beyond with every service during my major hair makeover with Great Lengths Hair extensions ( even providing me with helpful information and tips with the aftercare of my service) & I would highly recommend her to anyone & everyone who is wanting to have the amazing hair of their dreams! words cannot describe the amount of gratitude I have towards this exceptional professional. I have never been so happy about hair! My whole experience with this salon was delightful, to say the least. The whole staff are friendly, welcoming and not to mention professional and skilful too. The salon has a positive and vibrant energy! Every person I’ve had the pleasure to speak with has offered me advice and support. They’ve catered to my requests and have given me beyond desired results. They remembered me after my first visit and even make the time to come and say a quick hello to me when I’m there! I’ve left each time with a huge smile on my face and can’t wait to share what a pleasure my experience was with friends and family. This is the only place in Brisbane I trust with my hair - specifically Danny & Hollie! When I first came to the salon my hair was damaged and dry - both of them were so welcoming and understanding, they really worked with me and completely transformed my hair to the exact vision I had, while keeping it really healthy. I have been coming to them for over a year now and they have given me amazing product suggestions, treatments, and haircuts. My hair is almost completely back to being 100% healthy and also looks exactly like what I had wanted from the start! Both Danny and Hollie are irreplaceable! They are both so knowledgeable about colour, treatment, and styling - when I come in to get my colour, Hollie always gives me the perfect colour, and when I need a trim, Danny always leaves my hair looking fresh and healthy. Definitely recommend this salon to anyone new to the area who is looking for a team that they can trust and rely on for amazing services!

One of the best hair salons I have ever been too! The staff were very welcoming and very friendly. I have really curly hair and was very worried about colouring it and that it would completely damage the curls. I’ve had bad experience in previous salons, but when I spoke to Hollie -colour specialist- she was very understanding and explained the whole process to me. She took me through the process step by step and recommend treatments to protect my curls. She had also advised me on the colour decisions and was very honest and gave me professional advice on which path to take. I put my full trust in her and it was worth it as she is amazing, talented and professional at what she does! I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else. I would definitely recommend this salon as all their staff are super professional and well educated in their field!

Absolutely wonderful experience for my first time getting a professional colour! - The lightening process and colour application felt incredibly gentle on my hair and scalp, but still left me with the intensity I was hoping for. - My colourist (Hollie) was able to describe the process to me in a way I could understand without any knowledge of how hair works. - Staff clearly knew how to manage their timing for several customers needing different kinds of attention at the same time. - My appointment lasted several hours but it felt like no time at all, considering how relaxed I felt For someone like me who has spent the past decade doing self dye jobs, it was a big spend for my hair. But 100% worth every dollar put into the experience, and I’ve already booked in another appointment to get my first real hair cut in over a year.

I’ve come over from NZ for a short holiday and I’ve always had such troubles with finding a salon back home that achieves what I want and actually listens to me ! I go to both the City salon to see Danny Hair( colour) & Caleb (cut) and Indooroopilly Amy (colour ) and Jade. (cut) I absolutely love them all. They are all extremely creative, amazing and always listen to what you want. I have been going to OO for over 10 years now and they are ALWAYS professional, smiling, give amazing service and have the best in business working there. I would never ever go anywhere else. Laura who works as the manager is the most efficient , hardworking and loveliest person I ever met. Always makes the salon so bright. I could not recommend Danny and his team at Oscar Oscar BNE more! I first went to Oscar Oscar BNE in July last year. Even before my first appointment, Danny and his team were very accommodating and worked around my schedule to get me in for a cut and colour as soon as possible. After my first appointment, I was sold. Danny instinctively knew how to treat my hair and the colour was absolutely perfect, lasting well after my appointment. I have returned to Oscar Oscar BNE many times since my first appointment, and each time I have received the same exceptional service. The experience and professionalism of Danny and his team is well worth the price.

I went to Oscar Oscar Salons in Brisbane City after reading lots of amazing reviews and thought that I would be in good hands. Unfortunately this was not the case..... went in for a trim so that my hair could be healthy again and came out still having split ends and not feeling healthy at all. Also wanted to get layers put in to take some weight of my hair out and to give it some shape and came out with flat, sad looking hair that fell like a tent. Needless to say was not worth the big pricetag and would definitely not recommend going there . Not even the atmosphere was nice - don’t think I saw one person working there with a friendly smile!

I have been coming to Oscar Oscar in the city and Carindale for a few years and today I was in the city store twice ! First cut I wasn't so happy with, called and they were keen for me to come back in so I did. I felt embarrassed about returning, but knew if I didn't get my hair fixed I would just go somewhere else next week get a cut, complain and not go back to Oscar Oscar again. On my return I was treated so well by Danny, and Renee who made the final 'adjustments'. On leaving the manager (sorry I think it was Laura) gave me a small treat. I was looking for a new hairdresser and am so happy I found Oscar Oscar. Hollie really understood the new colour I was aiming for and how to achieve it. I was asking for quite a big change and walked out feeling like the hair vision I had was met. I think Hollie is skilled with matching blonde and copper tones to a person's eye and skin tone perfectly which is what I really needed. Caleb also gave me a great cut and is clearly knowledgeable at how to create a hair cut on long hair that will also allow volume and movement. The business is very friendly and welcoming and I am looking forward to coming back.

I got my hair cut by Gav about 3 weeks ago and asked on the phone when I made the appt and when I sat in the chair , for a layered bob. My hair is unruly and dry so I got a treatment for $40. Gav was polite but when he cut he just went straight across. I thought he might go back and later. But no the cut was over. With the treatment it sat alright but over the weeks it’s doing exactly what I knew it would by not being layered. It’s growing out like at the sides and looks like a triangle. Very disappointed. Will cancel the next appt I booked. And now have to get another hairdresser to layer a style.

Myself (Shelley) and my daughter attended to have our hair up-styled last weekend for her 21st. At $150.00 each, my hair - the curls dropped out after an hour (this has never happened before when curling - my hair always holds curls very well), and it looked a mess (and nothing like the photo I had provided - not even close). My daughter had a slick ponytail, with a synthetic ponytail attached - slicked and pinned. 40 minutes after leaving the salon, her ponytail fell out completely. This visit was an utter waste of time and money. Both of us fixed our hair ourselves. Will never go back.

I had a wonderful first time with Danny who was amazing with my hair. Not just a cut, but an experience I felt pampered with massage and beautiful scented hair products. He really made sure he understood what I wanted to achieve with my hair long term, what my hair care habits are and how much length I was willing to sacrifice. I came out of my appointment feeling and looking fabulous. I arrived a little early, didn’t feel like I waited at all and really appreciated the level of service. Definitely worth the extra $$ and it’s clear that he’s well skilled with long hair styling.

I asked an employee for samples products for dry hair problems for wavy & curly hair she then identified herself as a manager not a hairdresser and offered Oribe products and Oribe products have proven to be truly unsuitable , it left an artificial result on my hair and left it's limp and dried out the ends of my hair. My hair has tonnes of body and is medium not fine or thick. Oribe is garbage and it's ingredient of fenugreek extract is superfluous nonsense also, in my opinion. Thanks for the giving me an experience of what hair care products to never buy.

The whole team are wonderful, warm and highly skilled people. My experience from the moment I stepped through the door was totally positive and enjoyable. Lauren is a brilliant hairdresser, the hairline and part microlights she did for me honestly cannot be faulted. On top of this the treatments she put through my previously very damaged hair restored it back to a shiny, healthy and smooth state. All the while we had upbeat and lighthearted banter which was a great way to end the day. I highly recommend this salon and team to everyone.

I cannot recommend Oscar Oscar Brisbane City, and specifically Danny high enough! I started seeing Danny while he was with OO Indooroopilly, and followed him when OO Brisbane City opened. Danny always takes the time to talk through any issues or questions I have about my hair, and has worked to improve my hair health, style and colouring. My hair is noticeably healthier, and I credit that to Danny and the amazing products in-salon and for home use offered by OO. The entire staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and professional.

I couldn’t praise or recommend this salon enough! Oscar Oscar Brisbane City have such an amazing, warm welcoming and friendly team. I receive the royal treatment every time I get my hair done by Danny. I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. I couldn’t recommend Oscar Oscar Brisbane City enough! Great cbd location, luxurious service and such friendly staff. I always get my hair done by Danny Luu and he is a perfectionist!! I’ve had styling services, cuts, treatments as well as tape hair extensions and I’ve always walked out of the salon feeling like a million dollars! I also purchase all of my hair products from Oribe, Shu Uemura, Kerastase, ghd… etc from the salon too. They have such an extensive variety. I always look forward to my next appointment!

I've been in "hair rehab" with Hollie and the team at Oscar Oscar Brisbane for almost twelve months after unnecessary services at other salons, on top of my bleaching, had left my hair in desperate need of some TLC. Since starting my journey with Hollie, and trusting her honest, tough love approach, my hair has come to life again and has never looked and felt better. I look forward to my visits with the team and always feel so welcome and valued as a regular guest. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I can’t remember how many years Danny has been looking after my hair, but it’s been a few! Danny always does an amazing job with my hair and gives great advice for keeping my hair healthy in between appointments. My mum, sister & I go together for our appointments and Oscar Oscar have always been very accommodating of us taking over half of the salon (sorry!), and we always feel very looked after. Everything smells nice in there, the people are lovely, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my hair ❤️

The ladies in here seemed fairly nice and accommodating, but slightly fake with their faux kindness and faux smiles though. I was taken to my seat to have my hair done fairly quickly and promptly and the result was nice, but they made my hair slightly blonder and slightly less ashy than I wanted it. I'm changing my review to one star though, since they left the bleach in for too long I realized and some of my hair at the back has snapped off! I'm very upset about this and I'd like a refund...

3 days ago I went to get my hair coloured... I wanted to take the old blonde out and go a lighter brown. When I left the Salon my hair was black!! The hairdresser told me it it would wash out but honestly I am so disappointed, I paid a lot of money for something I did not ask for!! I was recommended to go here by a friend; I had to end up phoning another salon to try to fix my hair. Overall, the hairdresser did not do what I asked and I will not go back to get my hair coloured.

This is probably the best salon I’ve ever visited! The service has been impeccable from the first minute to the very end. Front desk staff greeted me remembering my name. I loved that! The treatment has exceeded my expectations and honestly for the price I paid is just amazing! Koji took care of me. He is so knowledgeable, thank you for the hair cut and for all the advices you gave to me in terms of products and ways to treat my hair. I will see you soon for my hair colour!

Hollie and Caleb are the absolute dream team. After having my hair destroyed by another salon I came to Oscar Oscar praying for a miracle and boy did they deliver. They really take the time to listen and understand your needs and concerns before performing quite honestly magic. My colour and style have been rescued and are now exactly what I wanted. My hair has never felt so full and healthy. Could not recommend them more highly and my only regret is I didn't come sooner!!

I visited Oscar Oscar in Brisbane CBD for the first time last week and Hollie looked after me so well! I was going through a bit of a darker change from my blonde balayage I’ve had for 6 years which scared me and she listened and gave me exactly what I wanted and was so lovely and refreshing. An absolutely amazing experience! Gav looked after me and was incredible. Understood exactly how i wanted my haircut to look. Started with an aromatic oil shoulder massage, then hair wash and finished off with hair cut and hair styling which was done perfectly!!! I cannot recommend this salon highly enough. My first impression of the decor and atmosphere was that this was going to be an expensive salon. I have found it to be the exact opposite. It is the same price as going to a reputable suburban salon. Having your hair done here is like stepping into another world where you are made to feel special and important. Being an OO guest is like being part of a family you had no idea you needed to be in.

Hollie is amazing. I have been coming to Oscar Oscar Brisbane for over a year now and have been thoroughly impressed with what they have been able to achieve without damaging my hair. I really respect their advice and that they tailor their treatment to what is realistically achievable for your hair type. Recently I decided to have a bit of fun and go purple! Exceptional! From the moment you walk in the door everything task is done with care & precision. Even the way I was towel & caped up to start was methodically done with warm & attention. Stylist Madi picked the perfect colour for my regrowth “new client” and it turned out fabulous. The starting massage by Anna was a complete surprise. Blow dry & style by Anna I’m so so happy with. Total experience best I have ever experienced.

Absolutely appalled. Paid $150 to get my hair put into a sleek ponytail for my 21st Birthday. The lady who was doing my hair started on my hair 30 minutes late and then took 1h and 30 mins to do a simple pony. This ponytail then fell out as soon as I got back to my hotel. I was devastated and ended up in tears as this was a special day to me. It took me 5 minutes to do it myself. What a waste of time and money.

I've been seeing Danny at Oscar Oscar for over 5 years now and he is the hair god! After visiting other salons, Oscar Oscar is by far the best in Brissy, will not go anywhere else!! This review has been a long time coming! I saw Hollie and the team at Oscar Oscar Brisbane in February after a string of less-than ideal results elsewhere, and they did the most beautiful job. He listened to my concerns and gave me some great advice for my haircut, scalp massage was 11/10 amazing and so were the cut and blow dry. I attended Oscar Oscar Brisbane to treat my mum and neice to a haircut. The service and standard we received was most definately a class above the rest. The stylists were very attentive and we were made to feel very loved. My mum and neices hair was done exceptionally well. I would receommend this business for those looking for haircut/style above the rest. We will be returning.

Didn’t use their salon services, I just went in to buy my fav haircare products. Oscar stocks an impressive list of high end haircare. If you’re after Shu and Oribe, look no further. Unlike some big cosmetic chains, Oscar always fully stock their products. Prices are competitive and you will get true advice from people who understand about hair. Will recommend to everyone.

Amazing salon with wonderful and hardworking people. Got keratin done by Hollie, incredible person. She knows her work really well, very knowledgeable and interesting person to chat with. Went in for haircut and style service yesterday with two of my friends and had the most amazing relaxing experience. All the fine details with a neck massage and scalp massage made it perfection. Each stylist personally looked after each of us and were all completed within an hour. Would highly recommend and will be definitely returning.

Every time I get my hair cut with Greg, he takes care of me and he knows how to do my hair. He always makes sure that I am looking after it and I am always so happy with the result. Everyone I know keeps asking if I had just got my hair done and compliment even 4 weeks later! All the staff are amazingggg and I can’t not keep coming back!

Danny brings your hair back to life in 24hrs ; he is a hair whisperer for breakage and I wont let another hair dresser touch my hair again. From when I walked in to when I left everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and Gav went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and that I got the best price. The girl I saw was lovely but she didn't leave the dye on my roots long enough and I can still see them. I was also charged $50 for a flash dry and like 3 passes of a hair straightener (granted the time was cut short). I'm not going to come here again. It's overpriced and felt rushed.

I had my hair cut many years ago when the Salon was in Broadway on the Mall! Oscar is an award-winning Hair Stylist! He gave me a full restyle of my long split ended brunette hair that now I dye black! I had a blow dry & left feeling like ❤️ a Movie Star! Well worth the price!!! …

Very overpriced for basic service, single semi colour over whole head with no treatment and chose to leave with my hair wet for $185. Don’t even include a hairdry if you get a colour, that’s an additional $50.

Beautiful salon, amazing experience.! Everyone there goes the extra mile for you, you even get a shoulder massage, plus walk out with an amazing head of styled hair!! Wouldn't go anywhere else.
