Amazing artworks and atmosphere, carefully and perfectly curated in my opinion. I really admire this gallery and its offerings. I picked up 4 artworks for click-and-collect from the Fitzroy today and I received poor customer service with the young employee upon pick-up. She was busy helping an individual with his order (understandable in a busy gallery) and did not acknowledge myself or the customer after me for waiting for our turns. I parked my car right in front of the gallery and clearly it would be a handful, but said put 2 artworks under one arm and 2 under the arm and quickly ushered me out of the store. It was a very frosty reception without a single smile so that was very disappointing, I have been welcomed more warmly in other instances I have entered the store, my bad luck I guess.

A buzz kill of a salesperson and probably Melbourne's best indie gallery in one. Their Smith Street gallery ... ... very much who you strike as a salesperson defines the customer experience ... Extremely professional senior salespersons are both polite, courteous and welcoming. There's a younger salesperson has a nasty prediclation of reading confidential emails. Breaches confidentiality then ... ... aggressively responds to communication that wasn't in the first instance addressed to their attention Outstanding and one of-a-kind, great gallery proffering art, curios and printed media. A fine showcase for local artists. Well worth the investment of time to check it out and purchase something unique BEWARE the salesperson with a monkey on their back.

BRILLIANT! Every single time we go into Outre (whether it's the Fitzroy gallery or CBD) the staff are always INCREDIBLY helpful and really really know their stuff. I also love Outre because they are committed not only to providing modern art and pop art from acclaimed international artists but also heavily invested in supporting local artists from Melbourne and Victoria.

I’ve been to both the CBD store and this one and the vibe is amazing, the variety of art styles leaves you with heaps to enjoy while the people are kind and welcoming. I’ve bought three paintings from them and I have not an ounce of regret. Its only let down is that it isn’t big enough to hold more.

I love both galleries! Lots of mid century vibes and quirky pop culture inspired art from local and international artists. A great range of original pieces as well as more affordable print editions available. Always beautifully curated. Well worth a visit!

We were a group of 7, genuinely interested in the exhibition, but we left shortly after the guy serving the beers made sure we knew he was counting how many each one of us had.

The second branch of my favoured pop art store on Elizabeth Street, features the same eclectic artists and mind melting works.

A regular must visit for unique and collectible contemporary art. Helpful for making your home feel the way you envisioned.
