El primer dia de clases fue un total chaos,. entiendo que no hubo ningun tipo de organizacion para ese dia apesar de ser una escuela con un volumen de estudiantes tan alto. fue bastante frustrante e incomo bregar con esta situacion. otra cosa que me preocupa en esta escuela es el tema del bullying, e escuchado a muchos padres y estudiantes quejarse de que ocurren situaciones de esta indole y nadie toma cartas en el asunto. pero como todo, hay que darles el beneficio de la duda y ver como transcurren los dias a ver que sucede. honestamente espero que tengan 0 tolerancia para este tipo de situaciones. Que este sea un ano escolar lleno de logros y exito para todos los estudiantes y uno de mucha satisfaccion y logros para todos y cada uno de los maestros y demas personal de la escuela.

This is my review of PS.214. The Teacher's are okay only a few that i liked based on my seven years from Prekindergarten to 6th. When fights happen they do nothing i got in a bunch a fights it feels like when your younger they do some kind of punishment.Until you get older they do nothing which is a load of BS and there's another school with them.My final year was not the best to many 6th graders but over all it was good.The bully's are stupid and i witness this myself a student told one of the staff member what happen and nothing.Overall the school okay based on my seven years worth of education first four years were good and those three years they switch to commen core sucked.That's my review of the school

As a 7th grade student of L.H.A. its fine but the problem is that the Staff mostly pays attention to the lil brats. As i came here when i was in 1 grade i have made new friends and lost friends. I was a lil brat back then and we would go on trips all the time. But the damn staff would make us waste our money on bake sales so she wouldn't make trips for the middle school or Elementary. It would be early childhood! And that bugs me. Anyways this Friday we were suppose to go to a college in Queens in a coach bus,but the buses weren't in service -_-. That's just very stupid. Anyways the school is great. Mr.Cintron always smells on point . Just the trips that's all

this is the worst school ever because the dont care about our kids and some of the staff is rude and gives unnecessary detentions the bag the kids have to put the phone on the magnet damage my childs phone two times alredy the bulling is really bad some parents dont know because there child wont want to talk but its bad to a point that i was taking my child to school and two kids dint even case there were adults there and they were bulling a girl i have try to change my child from that school but they dont let me because thats the school that belongs to my zipcode

Son got bullied first week of attendance. Instead of addressing the issue or issues my son was complaining about they threathened to suspend MY son because I told him to FIGHT BACK.. I told him to fight back due to the number of attempts trying to solve the issue with the staff members at the school... This is the primary reason that these school age students are shooting up schools.. They get tried of constantly being bullied with no consequence towards the bullies.. The staff at this school need to be held more accountable for ignoring parents concerns.

The staff is mostly alright but some of them will find every reason to not do any work. There are bad apples everywhere you go though. Most of the problems stem from the students bullying others. There's a lot of fights in this school and no one ever seems to do anything about the kids being bullied. My brother went here and the school told us to be more understanding because the kid had a bad home life. Yeah, no $hit. Most bullies do. It doesn't make it alright for anyone to bully anyone.

Administration, office staff, the teachers my children have and Councelors great people great work. I am very happy with the education my son & daughter have received at the school. Communication was never a priblem always available to hear the student and parent concern. Love the school and how Mr. Cintron manage his school. Thanks.

The staff is ok. The students there are horrible bullying is a major concern when it comes to this school. My child first day attending this school she has her very first fight ever after that it just got worst with different kids boys/girls picking. Third grade did I mention. Staff was great its the students

I LOVE lorraine hansberry academy when you learn its fun and I felt safe in that school but I moved to Florida on the last day of school and I've regretted it ever since I wish I could go back you might have your horrible thoughts about LHA but once you leave you will regret it BIG TIME

The teacher all way say the wrong stuff and don't stop fights fix this school man then after school is crazy fight happen almost every day.and they don't fix problems when need to achieving starts with believing how is that going that going to happen with all this bullshit

the bullying in this school is what ruins it ! the teachers are good and the children are taught well but my son would get into an altercation daily . Would not recommend this school , that really needs o change and it is actually a shame

This school is kinda not the greatest i get yelled at when i do something with the "popular girls"...they give me pressure and i dont like it theres problems at gym..the worst thing is kids in that school learns bad words.

The staff are so humble and warming. My child feels safe while attending school. And the school has the right proper skill and tools to provide the right education for our children.

This is me writing a review of ps\is 214 and there are a lot of bullying and fighting in the school so don't go to this school unless necessary.

WORST DO NOT recommend, to many fights and violence. Weapons are brought to school by kids, DONT COME HERE FOR YOUR CHILDRENS safety!!!

It has sexual harassment and he only had a day of suspension. There's always fights and no one watches the little kids off the bus.
