The concept of a storage POD vs renting a trucking is great. I wasn't going to write this but what happen now has caused my viral complaint. Sales person was a complete professional and that's why it got rated 2 stars rather then 1. Thanks Kieth. I was advised via email that my POD would be brought between 7:30 am to 10:30 am and picked up between 1 pm to 4 pm so I arrange these times with my property management and had it booked. Neither one happen. When I spoke to my sales rep he told me roughly 9 am. After 9 am I became concerned and reached out to POD asking for an update. I was told that the truck had issues and getting fixed. I was told should be there shortly. No problem I thought. Sure enough the truck didn't show up before 1030 am. I called again and was told it should be on it's way. My problem to this is no one reached out to me. I had to reach out to them to get information. The truck driver called me 2 mins later saying his on his way and would be there in a half hour. He finally showed up. I had the elevator booked until 12 pm which only gave me a 45 mins to load up because it took roughly 15 mins to drop. I was unable to get it loaded within that time and was charged 50 dollars fee. I took the fee and said well it's done and this is a one off. I received a call around 1 ish from the truck driver telling me he be on site 2 45 pm to pick up and I said that's great. I receive a call from my property management at 4 40 pm telling that the POD is still there and they are charging me 100 fee for blocking the receiving area if not picked up by 5 pm. Contacted POD and they continued to make excuses and advised me that's a rough estimate we give and nothing is guarantee. My problem is that we are not advised that before we agree nor does it make sense to provide an email and call regarding the pick up and drop off. Why even provide times? Now I'm a 150 Dollars debt with these fees. Speaking to the sales rep trying to resolve this matter she told me she would look into getting me some relief from these extra fees. I've been already on the phone with them for a half hour or so at this time and then I got disconnected. Just wasn't in the mood to call back and explain this all over again to someone else. I was hoping for a better experience on the drop off and by the way they came at 6 15 pm to pick up the POD. We are talking over 2 hours over the estimate window. Today is moving day and was hoping everything would run smooth. I get a phone call waking me up from the truck saying he is on his way. I asked how long and he told me half hour. I jumped out of bed thinking I was late and didn't put my alarm on. Took a shower and got out. Looked at the time and it's only 645 am!!!! My new place won't allow me to move in until 9 am!!! I was pretty clear with the second sales rep because I had to call back with the details that I can't move in before 9 am. A so called note was placed on my file. I don't believe that happen. I called the driver back and thankfully he said he will return and see if someone can deliver on time. He called me back saying someone will deliver after 9 am which still leaves me with no guarantee. I'm not sure if it's this company or this is just normal practice for all. Like I said, the concept of a POD is great but I don't believe the headaches are worth it.

If I could give zero stars I would. 1 star is too kind. I ordered the pod for 2 months for storage for a renovation. Pods never came to pick up the pod after but they will continue to charge you and over bill you. Also there is no way to schedule the pick up of the pod. Can’t schedule pick up online, online chat says they don’t have authority, they don’t respond to emails, there’s also no option when calling either I’ve spent over 4+ hours calling them (in the hospital in labour with my first child) being transferred to different people all of whom are useless. It goes to their USA office who transferred me to Canada then they say you owe extra months when they didn’t pick it up. The lady said it would be pick up the day of calling, it never was. I had to call back and the person said it would be picked up within a week. Never was. Another said the next day, guess what? That’s right still not picked up. The pods is actually illegal in my area and the enforcement officer has been by multiple times already and ordered it to be gone by today. I’ve told pods this multiple times and they won’t pick up the pod. Pods refused to comply with the order to remove the pod and did not cooperate with the bylaw officer the fine is $5000. It’s a really weird company that doesn’t care about their pods and they don’t want them back. Once you get it they will not ever come to pick it up but they will charge you for it and still refuse to arrange to pick it up. I’ve been trying to get rid of this pod for 2 months now. I won’t ever use this company again nor recommend them to anyone else. Do not use this company they will abandon the pod on your property. I’m now having to figure out a way to dismantle it and dispose of it myself the bylaw fine is 5k and they won’t pick up. It’s going for scrap metal. **Edit they finally came to pick up the pod but the pod caused damage to my drive way where the pod was (cracking and crumbling) my drive way will need to be resurfaced costing me thousands, the truck drove on my front lawn ripping up my grass. My PROPERTY IS DAMAGED. I'm still dealing with the bylaw issues because PODS REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH BYLAW ORDERS TO REMOVE. They sent the disputed charges to collections and now state they are charging Interest (which is illegal in my province). This company has no customer service and does not care about customers. I hope no one will use this company there are far better ones out there that don't resort to damaging property and illegal activity. Pods has not acknowledged my issues regarding damaged property and I will likely have to sue for costs. **obviously I've contacted Pods to find a solution, Pods commenting as if I didn't lol** edit 2 I contacted CEO Kathryn V. Marinello no response. Pods continues to be unwilling to find a solution. I am in the process of obtaining a lawyer.

What a horrible inconvenience experience. One star is being generous. I recommended a family member to use Pods moving and storage. They were moving from Brampton to the Kitchener Waterloo Guelph area and had not found a house yet so I suggested they store the storage container on my driveway. Specific information was provided to Pods staff and also on the application as to where and what side to drop the storage container. I myself have used Pods numerous times and I am fully aware of how their lift system works. I understand Pods will not drop off their container on a driveway with other obstructions. I have a very long driveway over 60 feet long and requested the 16 feet Pod storage container to be dropped off on the right side of the driveway with more than 30 feet of space for the driver to work with. There was a vehicle on the right side of the driveway and it was not in any shape or form in the way of the driver executing the simple instructions. The average driveway is 20-25 feet long. The driver took it upon himself and dropped off the storage container where he was instructed not too with no consideration of how it might affect the owner of the driveway. A company with good customer service skills would have called the customer and discussed the obstruction the driver claimed was in his way. When I called them on their mistake they informed me they could not rectify the issue and the person's name on the application have to call-which was understandable. I called my family member and she quickly called them. Customer service admitted the container was placed on the wrong side and she will schedule for it to be relocated first thing the next day- in the morning. Next day we called after 1pm as no one showed up and we were informed the storage container could not be relocated until the 20th of June. Pod dropped off the container on the wrong side of the driveway 12th of June and added they were too busy. The payment for the container rental, drop off and etc was scheduled to occur on June 12th, they debuted the account 3 days in advance before the scheduled date. But it's not a priority for them to rectify a mistake they caused? Definitely will NOT be recommending or using them again.

I'm giving PODS 4 stars because they have some great people working for them and the container did what it was supposed to. I want to give a special thank you to our cross-border coordinator Isabelle V. who is kind, patient, efficient, professional and knowledgeable about their products, process and system. She deserves so much credit for our cross-border POD and our across Canada POD shipment going well. Also would like to say all our driver's were amazing. And when our POD was not able to be delivered it was not because our driver didn't make every effort to do it. Jeremey did give it all he had. He could've just driven away but he stuck it out with me wide-eyed needing that POD to fit. We really appreciate all our driver's and the care they took in placing the PODS as well. The reason my review is not 5 stars is there payment process. It is confusing, and inconsistent. I recognize I was changing countries but still there was always an issue with when payments were made, how they needed to be made, and then PODS decided to use a payment for one of my PODS for another one and didn't call to tell me, I had to call to find out which meant getting a incident number and waiting 3 days. Also, the first collections person I got hung up on me because he didn't want to deal with it once I explained the problem. I had to call again and each time except once, collections was difficult to deal with. One exception was Leah, so thank you Leah for figuring out what PODS payments did otherwise I'd still be in the dark.

POD delivery drivers were great. The rest of the Service was awful. Their customer service was terrible. You start with literally hours being on hold and bouncing around to speak to a person who can help. One supervisor hung up on me from some call center - after telling me the returning POD (full one coming back from storage) would not fit in my drive after I spent an hour with the call center confirming it would. The Supervisor told me about some manager secretly coming to my home to measure - if they did, they trespassed (no?) if they didn't they lied about coming to measure (puchline....the return POD fit...no problem) - the Supervisor told me I could not discuss the fit issue with the local mystery manager/measurer / maybe trespasser (you'd think they would have to tell you they are coming onto your property to measure) and that it was just "tough" that it wouldn't fit. After being told the POD would not fit for the return I was told I would have to come with my own moving truck to their storage facility an hour away to remove my stored items - this was on moving day - and, they would not let me come the next day - not enough notice (read, inconvenient for them so I was forced to pay for another months rental/storage). Like moving isn't stressful enough. My recommendation - don't use PODS unless you have the patience of a mountain and don't mind paying more for less...

Worst experience of my life dealing with PODs. They dropped the POD off as scheduled. That’s where the great experience ended. On my day of delivery, I was told that the driver could not safely move my POD to my new house because of ice and snow. I asked for photo proof which they sent me. The picture was of the lift in the road and the driver was concerned about my road being icy. Let me remind you that this is November in Canada. Yes, there’s snow. I called and spoke to a representative and did not get resolution. I asked to speak to his manager and waited on hold for an hour while manager finished his lunch break. Finally spoke to the manager and was told that I was being uncooperative in providing a solution because I was unwilling to salt and sand my city street. According to PODs, I am being held responsible for the city winter maintenance of my street and am being charged a failed pick up attempt due to road conditions. Excellent customer service.... NOT. I ended up renting a U-Haul, emptying my POD and leaving it behind. Do yourself a favour- save the headache and DO NOT use PODs.

Greetings and I hope this can help others not to chose pods for moving options, after my family and I got a quote over $6900 to move a cross Canada from pods we ordered a 16’ container and send it to their storage facility to be able to sale our home. 6 month late we sold our home and ready to move contacted pods to find out that they are not going to be able to send our container to the new home and the option they give me was to deliver it 198km away from our new location in pods facility and I was to go and pick it up. This have been super inconvenience for us now we found the BIG STEEL BOX company can help us to deliver it right to our new address. Now we need to empty all our belongings after 6 month been in pods storage in to BIG STEEL BOX and have them deliver it for us. We’re very disappointed at PODS to have false advertising to offer delivery a cross Canada.

My move involved using 3 containers being dropped/picked-up on 3 different dates, stored for 2 months and then re-delivered on 3 different dates, in a specific order. Because PODS is so busy these days, some scheduling issues proved more complicated than I expected. I dealt with a number of customer service agents on the phone and while all of them were polite and professional, no one was as professional and talented as Susana. She solved any problem or challenge that I had quickly (even when other employees were stymied. I really felt like she was thinking on her feet and thinking outside of the box to meet my (somewhat demanding) needs. She needs more than a raise. She needs to be promoted. While I gave PODS 4 out of 5 stars, I would give her 20 stars. I would definitely use PODS again, solely on my experience with her. Brava, Susana, brava!

Received quote online for local move. Followed up on telephone with rep to confirm quote/ pricing which was done. Then, delivery of the pod was simple and excellent - no surprises - charged for drop off and first month rental exactly as quoted. Then, day before scheduled pick up to relocate pod to new address my card gets charged for 50% more than what was quoted and the same prior to picking up the empty pod?! Contacted pod customer care who asks me to send quote proof which I did. I get an email from pods asking to do a survey for how customer care took care of me and feedback for someone I never even spoke with. Asked for them to escalate the matter - no response. Beware of quote as they only charge your card at each step of the process and just charge whatever they want!!!! Have and will warn everyone I speak to about this experience.

Rented 2 pods for my move from Memphis to Toronto, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. We need to wait for at least 30 min to talk to an associate, they never told us how long it’s gonna take to move the pods, and when we call to check, they couldn’t give out any estimate. It was frustrating because we have a house in Toronto without any furnitures. I made a complaint to them via Twitter, and they have this lady named Jenny called me and blamed me not reading their FAQ. Obviously it’s unreasonable for me to expect them to give out an ETA. Miraculously just the day after they charged me for another month of rental, the pods arrived Toronto, what a coincidence! I talked to a friend who used PODS before, and they have the same experience. Such an unethical way of making money!

DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! Refusal to pick pod up because of conditions that are 100% out of MY control, they were weather related. They told me that the ice on my property was my fault. Like i can control the weather. Which resulted in extra cost to rent. Which i refuse to pay. Absolute refusal from the company to do anything helpful. They don't have a supervisor to help they will deny you one to call you back. This locations manager or owner won't call you back and refuses to do anything! My lawn was damaged and they did nothing. FLAT OUT THEY TELL YOU THEY DONT CARE!! They just want your money and will charge you extra! SO BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! I didnt listen to the reviews when I should have.

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Our family have had the most awful experience with PODS, to the point where our things were 'lost' and no one could tell me where they are and what happened for over 24hrs on moving day. Our POD, that should have been redelivered to our new home, and stated "delivered" on the online portal was no where to be found. Leading to a loss in costs of movers, and hotel stays with our 1yr old that was ready for her new home. And the best that customer care could do was send an email to the warehouse. No action was taken. Disgusting experience. DO NOT TRUST YOUR BELONGINGS TO PODS.

We had our Pod dropped off Friday for our Move Saturday. We called for pickup loaded it up and still hasn’t been picked up. We called customer service waiting 2 hours to get ahold of anyone on the phone. We stressed how it’s a priority to get the bin picked up since we aren’t living there anymore with all our belongings sitting there. The agent told us it would be picked up late last night or first thing in the morning. Here we are 6.30 at night no pickup and no one will answer there phones on customer service. Been on hold for 3 hours haven’t spoke to anyone. Don’t recommend this service for anyone.

Seamless experience requiring two separate 16' PODS delivered/picked-up on different days, then re-delivered to my new address both on the same day, only to be picked up for final removal on a later day. Used both PODS for a total of less than a week and entire turnaround from initial delivery to final pickup was less than 7 days. Perhaps pricing can be pro-rated rather than based on a month minimum rental if not needed. We paid $1500 down from $2200 with various discounts. Driver Robert was exceptional as was the senior member of the final pick-up. Overall, top-notch service and products!

My container was brought here and the customer service agents are saying the "system is not allowing them" to schedule the redelivery to my home. Update 2: they delivered my container finally! No courtesy call from the driver before coming. Now I am trying to schedule the pickup and it’s the same confusion all over - “system is not allowing them” Update 1: someone reached out to me promising delivery of the container on may 11. They acknowledged that the confusion was because of a limitation of their software system but wasn’t sure why their customer service agents are not aware of this.

I used pods for a house move and the service went well. I booked the service because I was eligible for a 10% discount, I was quoted a price but they had issues applying the discount. They advised they would apply the discount before billing me. However I was billed at full price. This was in July. We are now in October and I haven’t been refunded anything yet despite numerous calls and numerous promises that they’d pay me ‘next week’ or ‘next day’ etc. I then received an email giving me a case number and advising they are reviewing my claim. Not a good experience with the company. Firstly, they did not come in the scheduled time window. They were 2 hours late and then when I asked the driver to put the pod in a certain way on the driveway, he did not. When I called the customer service to have it fixed, the CSR guy kept saying that he doesn't know and cannot help and was very rude. If a CSR cannot answer customer queries,then I don't understand who can. He has left over 10 feet of space behind the pod and blocked the entire driveway. I dont know how to get it fixed now. This is so frustrating.

Super frustrating, had scheduled the pod to deliver to my new location today between 11:45-2:45 driver showed up at exactly 2:45 unfortunately I had a dump truck blocking the driveway at the time for 5 min driver did not want to wait and left. Now me And my family are waiting for our belongings including soap shampoo, toothpaste and clothes… will never use or recommend pods to anyone… not to mention that I’ve been trying to reach them to reschedule 4 hours now!!! Come on now I understand why they have a 3.9 rating

The company left the pod on our driveway for 3 weeks after we had finished our rental. We have 6 cars and we had to use neighbor parking spots to compensate for the fact that the company was using us as a place to store their pod. When we requested the pod be picked up after our rental period we were told it was not possible. We ordered a pod to store our garage items while we were getting our garage floors done. The placement of the pod poor based on the work that was done

I have never seen worse customer service in all my life. There system messed up my booking and when I call to get it fixed the rep spends over an hour telling me it cant be done. I then get upset and empty my pod immediately and ask for a earlier pickup but was told it is not possible i would need to keep it for another week in my driveway empty. Horrible service, I would never reccomend anyone to use this service. I will continue to spread the word on this.

The pickup and delivery was fine, but one tiny change to how or where it was delivered and it's like the end of the world for them. Also, they charged me an additional ~$450 SIX months after the container was delivered and when I called in to dispute it (around 5 times) nothing was done. I will not be using them again simply due to their customer service and the fact that they slap on those extra charges even though everything was agreed right at the start.

We used PODS for our move this summer. Their customer service was phenomenal - everyone I dealt with from the phone rep to the driver was incredibly friendly and helpful. We made several adjustments to our request and all were taken care of with no difficulties or issues. It was the easiest move we ever did, and cost-wise much cheaper than other options. Highly recommended and if we ever move again (please no!) then we'll definitely be using PODS again.

PODS has been the best moving and storage business that we have ever used. They provide a fantastic service at a reasonable price. I would recommend PODS if you are planning on moving and need some extra time to sort out your personal items without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. Best survive hands down. Got the pod here on time but they use a call centre in ftLauderdale the agent there made no note for a morning pick up time The office here in Mississauga now what’s a 100$ to move it from 2:45pm to noon Guess I need to pay for their mistake Absolutely no help at all Be very sure all delivery and pickup times are clearly spelled out as I will now have a truck sitting around on the road waiting to be filled

*Update* PODS is quick to respond to an online review, critical of their service. However have still not called me back when I requested a Customer Care/Support call. Call ME PODS, then we can talk. PODS does not properly disclose their fee structure or when they will bill you. I have been overbilled for my order. Multiple calls have been made to PODS to resolve this issue with no follow up.

Pod arrived at driveway with a defective lock and latch. The POD cannot be secured and I have been transferred three times and on wait for almost 40 mins trying to get hold of someone to come out and service this POD lock since all my furniture is in it and it cannot be locked. What nonsense? Are these things not quality checked before sending them out. Will NEVER use this again!

I heard great things about PODS. They arrived to my house on time, but did not respect the time to drop off the bins at my new house. It was 2 hours early. In addition one POD damaged my driveway and someone was to contact me yesterday and I am still waiting. I rented 3, so 1/3 damaged my driveway and no call back or responsibility taken by PODS company. Do not use them.

Brutal. No one speaks English, I left 7 messages, they do NOT deliver on weekends, and they DO NOT give a window to drop the POD off. If you live in a condo or apartment, good luck booking an elevator with those dumb policies. If you're a homeowner, and DON'T need to hire movers, it's a good way to move/store stuff. Absolutely brutal "customer service".

We used PODS to store items as we staged our house for sale. Everybody at PODS was most accommodating, to the point of waving a payment as we had to keep the container for a couple of days past the monthly due date as a pick up was not available. That in my opinion is great customer service and we will use PODS again for any storage needs we may have.

Hiring PODS was an aggravating, anxiety producing experience. At nearly every level something went wrong with my order. It would take a miracle for me to use them again. I hope they rebuild their customer management system so that each team member in each division has access to each order's details. This would save a lot of stress for the customer.

The overall experience was horrible. Needed to call a few times to sort things out. And every time I called it got worse. Unfortunately there the only company that uses the style of delivery method that was needed for my address. The delivery driver was very nice though. And on time. I dont think I would use them again

My dear, try to understand what is the purpose of your position, or just leave this job, it is not for you. -5 stars!!!!!!

This was pretty much one of the best experiences I've had with a company. Very professional, managed perfectly. Everything was exactly on-time and make moving less stressful. I have no idea where my POD is right now, but I'm sure it's safe and secure are ready to be delivered. I love it when stuff JUST WORKS!

Used PODS to store furniture during a home renovation and I have nothing but positive things to say. Home renovations can be unpredictable and PODS lets you pay month by month and change pick-up dates as often as you like. Being able to contact their customer service online was a huge bonus.

My pods never delivered on the delivery date, I had to pay my mover $100 per hour+fuel. the customer service rep did not know where the pod or the driver is, also barely speaks English. I am looking for a compensation for my movers cost from PODS but I do not know who I need to talk to.

We had to move my son from Waterloo ont to Ottawa ont they were amazing the divers were very professional and when we got to Ottawa we noticed the drive way space and the street was small but the driver got it done with no problem. Thanks for great service it made the move stressless!

Please do NOT waste your time with them. I booked a pod three months ago, and 12 hours before delivery, they cancelled without any apologies. We had booked movers and prepaid for their services. Highly unprofessional and unreliable. Please don't waste your money on them.

The worst customer service experience I ever had. We supposed to get 2 containers which we paid for. They deliver the one and 3 days after we still waiting for the second container. We had to pay late fees for not moving at the specific time frame. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY

PODS were delivered on time. All the delivery personelle were friendly and easy to work with. I would suggest booking in advance as they get booked quite quickly and cannot accommodate some last min request. Our items were delivered on schedule and nothing was damaged.

Ive just used PODS for the first time to move a Pod twice- Frank the driver was fantastic, he maneuvered the unit into extremely tight spaces twice. He was smiling, friendly and very accommodating. Frank is an asset to your company. Ive very appreciative of his service

Super convenient, great service, and if you pack it well, you won't have any breakage. Only issue I had was being billed once past final pick up and that was resolved hassle free. The website for delivery and pickup doesn't match up with the availability when you call.

It's truly amazing watching the delivery and take away of the POD. The technology and skills involved overall. That's not all. The service is A+ and in this pandemic it's all touch less. Great customer service and on time in delivery and pick up. I give them 5 stars.

PODS requires 48 hours notice to book your appointment. I waited on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes, after which I had to leave a message (and therefore not meet my 48 hour advance booking notice), to sell items that I paid over $250/mo. to store. Not worth the $$$

Pods advertise they move across Canada. But they won't move a container from Oakville Ontario to Chatham Ontario. They said the summer is busy for them and Chatham is not in their delivery area at peak times. People move in the summer.......

The rental policy online is not clear on pricing and they charge more to rent some items than they cost to buy outright, it makes no sense whatsoever. The drivers and actual Pod were great in my case.

I rented PODS for storage in order to do a move. The service is great, and the PODS are quite convenient, however @ $360/month, I find that is quite expensive for the space I was getting. 8×8×16.
