Outstanding pastries. Last time I left because they charge for carryout box. Since then very bakery I visit seemed to adopt this practice. My favorite, my sister's favorite. The cinnamon roll was monstrous. Great texture, lots of great glaze and raisins. The cashier provided professional service. Am soon to return. Location is great. I have been customer for 10 years. Top 3 bakeries.04/04/2022. Since it was closed we dined at Ramona's Restaurant. These two businesses share building. Door separates but not it is permanently closed. Not sure why it when. I had flour tortilla tacos. My companion had flautas plate. Flour tortillas were best I have had in a long time. Our waitress presented some issues. I was not given choice of corn tortillas. I had to call her several times for drink refills. Excess socialize time kitchen area. Food was very good. Cashier attentive so our visit was successful.

Really had faith this Bakery would do good per the reviews. After I placed my online order over night and ordered items they offered, I was excited they responded around noon that my order was ready. My sister showed up to pickup the order and was told this order would not be ready because it has to be made 72 hrs ahead. Well maybe this information should be on the website and before you take my payment and send out text and email to come pick up the order you should make the order. Too much hassle for a bit of Mexican cookies and Conchas, they refunded my money. I took my business else where. Thank you for doing minimal. Eat in store don't bother with their online ordering.

I have been following this bakery on Instagram for a while now, and was finally able to check it out recently. I went with my son on a Sunday and it was nice and quite and not too busy . They had a wonderful selection and everything was fresh and looked delicious! I purchased a good amount of items along with an insulated cup and spent under 40 dollars . This bakery reminded me of my childhood and I thought it was pretty neat that it was connected to a little Mexican restaurant as well . Next time I’ll be trying that place too . If you are on their side of town and have a sweet tooth don’t hesitate to stop in as everyone is very friendly and inviting .

Going to this bakery because was recommended online as one of the best bakery in san antonio. Once i went in most of the cases were empty and was limited sweet bread and still early morning. Was a small business inside but had a system for lines, staff was friendly, prices reasonable. Maybe i went when they were short staff or low on product. Wish there was a greater selection especially that they had cases covering 3 of their 4 walls.

So disappointed in this bakery. I expected fresh bread but we got day old bread instead. I’ve been to other bakeries where the bread tastes fresh and I expected the same from this place. I assume people don’t buy their seasonal pastries so In attempt to save they keep them even if they’re not fresh. Their seasonal items are overpriced and stale. This was my second time here but the drive was not worth it. Will not be going back.

I've always loved this place. Lately they have really stepped up their bakery quality and it's made the place so much better!! They had pride week cookies and donuts and although I don't relate to it I think it was pretty awesome to see the respect they pay in something simple like a color scheme. Lots of Mexican restaurants in area but only 1 panifico

Stopped in today for the first time and was not disappointed. The selection of pan dulce was excellent! They feature so many original varieties. Everything I selected was so delicious. The self serve method of picking out your pastries makes for a relaxed and unrushed experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Always delicious pan dulce always fresh but WARNING must go early to get alot of the variety bc if you go closer to closing time you MIGHT get some of the variety. Sometimes I've gone later and it was practically empty. Other times it was fully stocked. But over all very VERY delicious variety of pan dulce. HIGHLY recommend.

The Galaxy and Unicorn donuts were amazing. It was super packed because they were so in demand so don't go during peak hours. My only gripe is that there's nowhere to sit. They could make a killing selling local coffee and drinks there with a nice sitting room. Hope they can do that down the road, it's such a great spot!

  • Melissa Martinez

Really great pan dulce, especially the conchas. They have very talented bakers who can make really elaborate special order cakes. They also do fun stuff like flag cookies for the World Cup and spur-shaped donuts on some days during NBA season, as pictured below. Call ahead to see if they have them.

  • Sylvia Trujillo

Was very disappointed this time. Went in the morning 10:30a and figured everything will be freshly baked, but that was not to be. Donuts and conchas were hard. Nothing freshly baked. Never had this problem before. We live in Floresville and when we go into town try to stop and grab some pan dulce.

  • Matt Black

I stopped by for the rainbow donuts and rainbow cheesecake. Both were amazing. I was just amazed at the cheesecake specifically. I assumed there would be some aftertaste because of colors, but I didn’t notice one! I loved every bite! It’s a bit out of the way for me, but I’ll definitely be back!

I grew up in that neighborhood . When I was a little girl my father always use to buy bread every Sunday morning . I have continued buying bread every time I am in the neighborhood. I highly recommend it to anyone. They have the best pan de dulce.its all ways fresh. Customer service is great

Finally gave up trying different days, different sweet breads and bolillos. Always hard or dry. Definitely not the same since they changed several years back. If the recipes are the same as the Bedoy Bakeries, then their heart isn't in it. Sad because it was the best in the neighborhood.

  • Lindsey McCann

Authentic baked goods made that morning. Every item was delicious and smelled wonderfully fresh. Prices are fantastic. Worth the stop. Staff were delightful. You go in, fill a tray of whatever you want and they bag it for you. Good for a daily stop or as we did, snacks for the ride.

  • Sam R

This is one of my favorite bakeries. We've been going here since I was a little girl. They have a good selection of pan dulce, cookies and other sweets. I like that you can select things on your own and just go up to the register when you're ready. Everything is fresh and delicious.

You know when you want that scratch for the sweet-tooth itch...this is a great place to get a little something to join you, your special one, and a coffee at Woodlawn Lake. Do it. You'll love it.

Always wanted to try this place and was very surprised and happy to see a poster right next to the door promoting PreP! The young lady that helped me was very nice and the pan dulces I bought were delicious! I just wish I didn't live so far but I will try to come back.

  • Pamela Huck

Love this bake shop. Especially love their Easter donuts. Fun. Tasty. Friendly. Have excellent covid safety practices requiring everyone entering to santize their hands first, before being given a tray to take your own pastries. Masks required, of course. Nice place.

  • Vidal Victela

I think the big man upstairs for finding me this place early in the morning to buy my wife her Conchas that she loves and it's in my neighborhood too. Thank you Panifico Bakery for waking up early and feeding San Antonio and your community. Keep up the good work!

Good selection. Different bread colors and/ or themes for any holiday. Best pan dulce that I've tasted. I ordered mini pan dulces for an event I had for my employees, the order was made on time and price was also reasonable for the amount of pan that I ordered.

Pastries are good, but not great. That said, for the price, it is unbeatable. I paid $1.55 for a large croissant type Pastry with strawberry filling and a small cookie. I didn't know you could get anything that cheap anymore.

  • sergio Cardenas

Name changed but still a whole lot of good pastries, this place is equipt with the latest transaction cash-ier computer. Lots and lots too choose from. Heck take three of each. Still money left over for a coffee or hot cocoa.

Best sweet bread in San Antonio. I love how they give you a big tray with your own tongs to grab the sweet bread yourself. It's next to a restaurant which has great food also I think they're under the same management.

  • Adriana Medrano

Sooo yummy! Pan tastes so fresh my husband bought a pan dulce that resembled a Canoli but in a cuernito shape. Homemade whipped cream inside and vanilla pudding with a cute ghost white chocolate on top …

  • Angela

I think I found a place with the best cheesecakes ever! I've had a lot of cheesecakes & it is by far the best. I originally came for some Pan dulce, buy bought this and some ChocoFlaun instead. So delicious!

I love this bakery, my co workers love it even more, they get real happy when I bring a box filled with sweets. I buy a variety when I go, but for my partner I get him the Realgaldo. His favorite!

I brought my daughter and nephew for a treat. The selection was great. The conchas and semitas were soft and fresh. I love that they carried Pride Month items- we bought a huge rainbow cookie!!

We were expecting great flavor based off the review but were disappointment at the blandness and how expensive it was you can definitely get better bread somewhere else.

The bread is pretty and tasty. Inexpensive... worth the drive to the west side. Of course we wish employees were friendlier but no one is perfect. Enjoy! Try the restaurant it's very good.

Excellent conchas empanadas and really everything else I've tried. Texture, moisture, and flavor are simply highest quality. Very inexpensive too!

  • C D (Cil)

I like the variety of pan dulce they have, but the first piece I tried from there, (a mantecada) was either not fresh, or just too dry.
