First started at this school in 2013 and graduated in 2019. The school has changed alot, particularly that time period. The school was average honestly, for me it was satisfactory. One thing that I need to mention is the way the school deals with issues regarding students, they ignore the complaints and live life on if nothing ever happened. I’m not saying that happened to me, but by observing over students and alot of students leaving the school I definitely think that was a big issue.
My son is in grade 1, he loves going to school and had a great time with Miss Simmons last year. This year with remote learning the junior school has exhibited amazing coordination in all aspects each week. Specific work videos are provided for each group within each subject (not just YouTube links but specific videos by the teachers) it is all just so seamless. There have been lots of out of the box initiatives like virtual walks, backyard olympics and "around the world" sessions.
I feel part of the community! We have participated in the 2021 transition program which started in August with an online craft and parent information programs via zoom. I feel like my child in kinder will transition well into school as he has already met with his teacher and some peers online. My son even got a T-shirt and colouring page in the mail to welcome him into the community. So excited for Prep next year!
Allow bullying and conflict, pick and choose favourite students, not a good curriculum especially for children getting ready for high school. The office women are kind though. If was still in the area would've sent my youngest to the next closest primary school because this one is too small and again teachers especially the sports teacher pick and choose favourite students and allow bullying constantly.
Parkmore is a small school with a big heart. The teachers are fantastic and the families love the school and are hugely committed to it. There is a wonderful selection of academic and extra curricular programs that cover a range of student needs and interests, and the students have opportunities they wouldn’t get in a big school, including in leadership and responsibility.
Great school with dedicated staff and excellent learning programs. We particularly love the amazing phonics based junior literacy program and the new makerspace is wonderful addition to the school.
Well this school is one of the best I have ever been to I wish I could come back I say sent all your kids there it's so fun loving and the teachers there are amazing I loved it I used to go there
Loving the junior literacy program, so glad the school teaches phonics. We are very happy with the entire curriculum.
