We went to Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery in the morning, and spent the afternoon in the park (20 minutes drive from Chocolate factory). We were very happy with this place, nice view, clean environment, good for walk, relaxing, and BBQ. We were lucky enough to met a kangaroo family of 3 hopping around in the park. Swimming is not allowed (the water here is part of Melbourne's drinking water supply), but finishing is permitted.
Had a great day out here taking photos of trees and the water. Great facilities, large open picnic & bbq areas with public toilets. Worth a visit if you're in the area. They allow fishing with lures etc. There's signage as to the fish and catching requirements. Slightly concerning low water levels!

Looked lovely we drove down with our two dogs only to find dogs weren't allowed there. Would be good to be able to find this information somewhere on the website before making the trip :(
Lovely park which has toilets and beautiful grass and trees everywhere. Looks well looked after. There’s a few walking tracks that go down near the water and around the whole of the dam.
We stoped here on our way to yarra rengers it was 40 of as riding together and stop here for 15 minutes for a water break nice place for chilling out.
Unfortunately couldn't go in as we had our dog with us. But from what we saw from the road it looked picturesque
The only reservoir near Melbourne which you can walk around more than 15k
Nice view of the water from BBQ areas and lots of kangoroos!
