In once sentence; save yourself a headache and some money and head over to Driver's Edge. It's maybe 10 minutes from this place, the technicians are trustworthy, and I've had nothing but great experiences there. On the other hand if you're the type to listen to whatever a technician says then go ahead and go here and let them "save" you from that huge problem your car has that they were lucky to catch before it got worse. Went here a few days before Christmas to get my brakes looked at because they were pulsing when I stopped. I was going to make a trip so I didn't want to drive with any possible issues. Typically I'd handle this sort of thing myself, but I didn't have the time. So I decided to head over to this location and have them take a look and possibly replace my brake pads. I give them a call and I'm quoted something like $100 to just get the brake pads replaced. I say okay and head over. I get there and Miguel introduces himself. Upon talking to Miguel he informs me that they don't have whatever package I was offered so my options would start at an additional $40 and then up from there. I told him to take a look and let me know what they find. About an hour later I get a call saying that my brakes are warped and that's why they are pulsing. They go on to say that the brakes are warped because one of my calipers is bad and needs to be replaced. Now a simple google search will let you know that brake warping is in fact a myth, but I digress. The price to replace the brake pads plus the caliper including labor comes out to a little over $500 dollars. This is because my make and model apparently requires ceramic pads due to the way that the heat dissipates through the rotors and pads. (Again, this is untrue. Simple googling.) Long story shorter I tell him to just cut the rotors and I'd come get it later. He warns me that if I do that the problem with persist and get worse. I tell him, "I'll handle it." because at this point Miguel is less than cordial. He says, "You'll handle it?" in an almost mocking tone. I say yes and he hangs up. A couple hours later he calls and says the car is ready. When I get their to pick up my car Miguel's sour attitude is clearly apparent. He tells me the total comes out to a little over $100 dollars (just to cut some rotors). I inform him that I think I'm being overcharged as I can go to Autozone with my rotors and get them cut for maybe 10 bucks if I took them off and put them back on myself. He asks, "Well why didn't you do it yourself then?". Like I said before, I didn't have the time and I live in an apartment. We go back and forth a bit about the price and he keeps throwing a "free" air filter he installed back at me. I decide I've had about enough and just pay so I can leave. The kicker? Here I am three months later and the pulsing is still completely gone. Haven't even had to change the brake pads yet. This place is a joke. If you have a problem with pulsing brakes look up "how to bed in brakes".
Not a pleasant experience. I went in just to have new brakes put on, alignment done (which my vehicle's alignment is still off when I paid them to fix it) and tires rotated. All simple, right? WRONG!! First of all.... the first day, I sat there for over an hour just for them to tell me I would have to come back the following day at 5pm because that's when they could do it. No problem! At least I have an appointment, right? WRONG again!! I come back the next day at 4:30pm just to be early. So now I'm on day 2 sitting from 4:30pm until 7:30pm. THAT'S when they took my vehicle back there. The 5 o'clock appointment meant nothing. And then I sat there until 9:30pm!! Mind you.... they close at 7pm. Hang on.... it gets better. They tell me a bolt on my wheel was stripped and they walked next door to Autozone to buy new ones. 3 new ones! Because they stripped 2 more. Then they charged me for them!! $150!! Oh, it gets better..... They then tell me they can't fix it and I have to leave my vehicle overnight and Uber home. So now we're going into day 3!! Now on day 3, about halfway through the day, they call me to come get it because it's done. So I leave work, drive 30mins there and they say, "I'm sorry, it's not done and it's going to be a few more hours." So now I lose half a days pay for leaving work early!! Since I have no choice, I wait a few more hours and can you believe this?? THEY CHARGE ME ALMOST $450 FOR EVERYTHING THEY PUT ME THROUGH!! I will never return. I feel completely taken advantage of, I feel like they conned me out of money, they didn't fix my alignment, they caused me to lose more money on top of the money they were taking from me and ran me around for 3 days!! Save your money and time, folks. Go somewhere else. I just can't believe they charged me $150 for 3 bolts which 2 of them they messed up. And then didn't even do the alignment or do it right. I don't think how they operate is legal, but I will be finding out!!
Had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. After I had been there for 45 minutes they realized they didn’t have the filter and had to order it, so ended up being way longer than it needed to be (considering it was an appointment and they could have looked ahead of time). Made it home, then half way there on my way to work the next morning my low oil light came on. It was coming on and off so I assumed it wasn’t actually low oil but some other fault. Checked the oil a few hours later to find virtually nothing on the dipstick. Called the location that I took it to and they essentially told me that it was my problem and they couldn’t promise that I wouldn’t have to pay for the changes, nor could they promise I wouldn’t have to pay for the tow truck. Eventually I was hung up on, and then I called corporate to be referred to the wrong tow line (general motors…I have a Mazda? They never even asked) Corporate also went on to tell me that it was essentially my problem and all that they could do was file a complaint. At this point I ended up having AAA tow my car to my local repair shop and having them evaluate the situation and check to see if there was damage done to the engine. Upon evaluation they concluded that Pep Boys hadn’t added oil after my oil change. I was very lucky and didn’t end up damaging my engine. The boys in the shop were extremely unprofessional and immature, I am not in the least surprised that they missed something so drastic by the way that they were acting. After I had already had the car towed, I did get a text from the original pep boys location telling me to contact the tow line, but it was not the type of help I needed for such a serious situation. I am very lucky that there was enough oil that my engine didn’t seize.
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I purchased a set of 4 tires online and made an appointment for 3pm on Friday for them to be installed. I arrive at 3:00 and Marcos tells me he’s going to go find the tires for me. At 3:20 I ask if they have the tires and he tells me they only have 3 and will go grab the other from another location. He says this will be an hour. 4:30 rolls around without ever hearing from Marcos and I ask if they have any updates. He says that store didn’t have it and they are getting it from another. After never hearing anything, I ask for an update at 5:20, a whole hour after they were going to have the tire, and Marcos tells me they are almost here. I get my car back at 5:45 and express my frustration that no communication was made with me unless I asked nor was any sort of apology made after waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes for a tire that their website shows they have in stock. Marcos gives me the most bewildered look acting confused why I would be upset with the situation. Marcos then tells me “I SUCK FOR HAVING A BAD ATTITUDE.” What a shame this establishment has employees that tell customers they suck. Come here if you’re looking for rude and lazy employees without a care for your satisfaction!
I first encountered Kevin, the manager of this location on Thursday, February 10, 2022. He is a great listener, and I believe in my opinion that he is very honest. He’s a new manager to the store and he has great plans for the store and for his customers. I was there two days regarding my issue and I watched him interact with other customers, and I saw him treating the customers with honesty telling them if they needed something done and if they didn’t and if he couldn’t get it done he referred them to someone who could. I’m not from Fort Worth, I was only visiting and unfortunately I had an issue with my car and I believe that Kevin and his team did a wonderful job because the first part that was put on was defective and he sent me off to return the part returned. They put that one on for me and made sure that it worked well they did everything to make sure that it was properly fit and properly working before I left the shop. I believe that Kevin will also be honest with you and tell you whether or not you need that service done and he will not tell you otherwise like some dishonest mechanics. I give the shop 4 1/2 stars right now and I’m sure it will reach the five it deserves in no time.
Updaters; Been a Pep Boys Customer for a while. We moved so our old location (which was awesome) was no longer an option. Tried a new location, and was not impressed. Easy appt scheduling, easy drop off. Never got a status update. Called on my vehicle status and said they were going to attempt to find the problem I identified but were so far unable to, but would call me back. No phone call update at all. In fact when I called just before close they said vehicle ready and we can’t solve the issue. No discussion, paid for an oil change and paperwork was handed to me without even discussing what they did to the car. This location is subpar for customer service compared to our old location. Won’t be going back to this location for even an oil change. Update: the car was completely unsafe to drive, even though PepBoys stated multiple times that it was safe to drive. The sound that we had asked to be diagnosed by Pep Boys was a screw loose (almost completely off) on the sway bar, that was “obvious the moment you drove the car” (according to the other new mechanic). He also found some other items that was missed by PepBoys, so also had to conduct a 2nd oil change (due to this missed issues).
This shop put my family in danger for over a month because they did not tighten the bolts on one of the brake calibers. I contacted them two days after my brake service was done because there was a rattling sound. We brought the car back shortly after and they told us the sound was our suspension going out which would cost approximately 1500.00. I've had my car checked by two other mechanics who confirmed there was nothing wrong with my suspension. The second mechanic then discovered the bolts on the caliber were so loose they came out with a few turns of the hand. I'm now certain they replaced the front brakes when it was not needed, they never checked the brakes when I brought it back and then tried to get me to pay for additional 1500.00 of work that was not needed. When I called to discuss these concerns the person I spoke with insisted I come up with a solution and when I told them that was for Pep Boys to decide I was yelled at. When I asked for this issue to be escalated because clearly this person wasn't able to resolve the issues, I was hung up on. Clearly this location has no regard for customer safety or satisfaction and will charge customers for unnecessary repairs.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I had brakes done a while back. I told them I was there for the $99 brake job. And hour and a half later I ask what's taking so long they said they had to have the brake delivered because they were out of ones for my car, I said ok. 5hours later I am raising hell as my brakes pull up they put them on and give me the $600 bill. I get pissed tell them I am not paying that that I only wanted the $99 brake job I told them about. They said oops well we already did everything so we have to charge for it whether you wanted it or not. After continuing to raise hell and arguing with the store manager Aaron I believe he says how about this you only pay $400 or you will have to file a report to get your car and that could take days. So i don't care what was said they did the work so you have to pay them for it. So I paid the $400 and then filed a complaint with the corporate office and they're sending me a refund. Stay away from this place don't even give these jokers a chance to rip you off because i watched them rip one person after another off and then laugh about it once the people left the store. THESE PEOPLE ARE SNAKES.
My husband took our car in to have the brakes done and an oil change. When they called to say our brakes were fine, my husband say ok just the oil. After repeating this several time no, just the oil change. (since the guy on the phone wanted to sell several other services for our 2012 car) the guy hung hung up on us. When we called back the Manager Elvis said that they didn't have to listen to cussing (no one cussed so I am not sure how that made any sense) He said they didn't have to listen to us and to just come get out car they wouldn't be working on it. Once we got there I went in to get the keys and told them "Shame on them for making my husband so upset" There wasn't any: sorry you feel that way, or: sorry that happened, it was: "You know what your husband did!" I said "yes and shame on you!" To add insult to injury when I went out to get the car it was parked so far up on the curb and the emergency brake was pulled so far up that I couldn't even push in the button, I had to go back in and get them to come out and release it for me. Still no "sorry" just a smart alec "I didn't have any trouble" laugh laugh HA HA.. Don't go here.
Just went and got Brakes, rotors, calipers changed out. An oil change, Master cylinder changed and a tuneup. Cost $1650. I imnitially just wanted my brakes done because I had to be at work by 1pm. I was told they could addthe oil change as well as the tune up and be done before 1pm. Well 2pm I called THEM and of course the work was not done. Luckily I took a lyft to work. Then I get a call saying if I don't make the payment tonight I will be charged an overnight fee that only corporate can override. 1, I don't even know if my car is repaired to pay $1650 without seeing it and 2, why would you charge me for overnight when YOU held up the rpair knowing you couldn't complete in the stated time frame and I had to be at work? In order to save the $124 overnight fee I have to chance $1650 that my car is fully repaired. Not good business at all. Then to add insult to injury I called to make the payment and was told that the guy had to clear out some screen and call me back, here it is 6:30pm and they close at 7p. looks like they are itching to charge that overnight fee...
I had a very bad experience with this location. I ordered a pair of tires at Amazon and the only option for installation that was near my house was this location. I made an appointment and showed up on time. The person at the front door was respectful although very quiet. After 15 minutes, a technician came to get my car (did not know how to start and put it in Drive, for whatever reason), then took it inside and I could see he would take a long time to replace the tires (he was an older person and seem to struggle to move, kneel, etc.). 2 and a half hours later, he finally finished replacing the tires, and then took my car to a quick test drive (I assume), came back and once I checked out I noticed that my sunglasses were not int he compartiment where I always leave them, so I reported that to the person at the front door, who simply told me that the hadn't taken them and that if I wanted he could look at the cameras. I ended up having to file a report with their Customer Service department and I am waiting for resolution. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST
This is a terrible place! I went in to have warranty work looked at and Marcos took 3-4 minutes just to acknowledge me. He immediately said we don't do warranty work for the company you are asking about (which isn't true) and then asked for my information but not what work I was even there for. Not one single time did he ask what was needing fixed on my car. He said he had to talk to his manager. He sent a text and then asked me to wait. Left to the back room and NEVER came back. I waited for 15+ minutes. Another customer had pulled up at that point and had to walk out to the service bay to find him for help. As I drove away, I thanked Marcos for making me feel like a piece of trash and let him know I would leave a review. If the manager of this location reads this....you should be ashamed of your customer service and how your location is being represented. I called another Pep Boys to help me with my problem and they are more than happy to earn my business. I will NEVER be back to this store location.
I'm an ex employee. And the manager named Aaron will rip you off. See you stuff you don't need. Then the stuff he does sell you won't be done to your vehicle. For instance (brake bleed/ or flush) all theycwill do is suck the old fluid out of the booster and just poor new fluid in,. On a brake bleed/ flush your supposed to bleed the lines. The main tech/ foreman Adam will do anything he can to not work on the vehicle and or /push the time longer and longer. Aaron will sell you a coolant flush and a diff service and will just wait an hour and say its done. So if you do buy the services make sure you watch tocmake sure they get performed. If your pads are thick butnyou come in for a noise he will sell you a fill brack package some where around 150-200 an axle( front and back) plus labor and stuff is almost $800 or a little less. And the Tech's only get paid $8.19 an hour plush a 10% commission. Avoid just brakes.
It's one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I logged in to the website and got an appointment to go get my wheel alignment, so I had to leave work early. I had to travel 35 to 40 minutes to get to this location. When I got there? I was 5 minutes behind, so I called them as a kind of respect to let them know. im 5 minutes behind. And they say you are coming for alignment. The machine is down for maintenance. If you could possibly know that your machine is not working. How is still taking an appointment? If I am getting a text message confirming my appointment? And another message 30 minutes before the time to remind me about my appointment. Your system should tell you that you have a customer coming in for this kind of service. You just waited for me to come to the store to tell me that's the service is not gonna be done. And while I'm talking on the phone with them, they just hang up on me.
I will never go back to this location, this place is very unorganized and unprofessional. I took two of my vehicles and purchased 8 new tires, they neglected to balance the tires on one of my vehicles. When I called back to informed them that the vehicle would shake on the highway and asked if they balanced the tires and I was told that they should of been balanced. Since there was no pepboys closed to my location they recommended I would take it to discount tire, have they check them and to save the receipt so that they can reimburse me. When I took them my receipt and show them proof that they did not balance the tires I was told by the manager that he couldn’t do anything and that if the service writer told me that I would get reimburse then he would have to pay me out of his own pocket. After going back and forth the service writer was able to reimburse me the money back.
bought a new set of tires for new rims that i had purchased for my 2010 Impala and was told since the car they were going on was not there not to worry that as long as the tires are not driven on i could return them if they didn't fit. well they didn't fit and they will not refund the $678 i spent on them. I tried to exchange them for the proper size and was told they were not able to get the size that i needed and that i would be better off buying a new set of struts that would lift my car to accommodate the tires that they sold me. they did not offer the struts either. I found the tires that were the correct size at a competitor for $430 out the door. I asked for the district manager contact info and was not given the information and was told there was nothing i could do but to try to resale the tires on an app or yard sale.
I really have to hand it to this shop on Northbeach in Fort Worth/Keller. I came in after 6 and the manager, Jose, went above and beyond for me. They did not have the correct tires for my car and realized that if they sent me to another store I would have had another blowout. (Apparently my car had been misaligned for sometime, unbeknownst me, and the cords were showing. I had already had one blowout and had the donut on that day.) Jose was so nice and went to pick up the tires from their neighboring shop (which he did not have to do) and was able to have the mechanics change the two tires and do an alignment prior to closing. I know most shops would not have done this and I'm so very grateful for what they did for me. Here's a shop that truly cares for their customers! Thank you so so so much!!!
So I go in because my don't brake pads need to be replaced. I can do it myself but it would take me forever. I got there at 7:30 and was the only customer The first thing when I go in the guy starts complaining about his manager. I tell him all I want done is to have the front pads replaced, nothing else. I also need it for done for as little as possible. After being there a hour here comes back in to tell me that my oil is low and dirty and my back brakes are getting bad as well. He said my air filter was good though. I said ok. He said hill get started on it now. Get started are you kidding me. What part of all I want is my front pads replaced. Here it is 9 and I still don't have my car and all the tires are still off. I will be complaining to there corporate office.
These guys saved me from making a $530 mistake. I had gotten my front brakes done from them a few months ago and it cost me $350. I thought that was a little high so when it came time for me to get my back ones replaced I wanted to shop around. Almost every other place started me at $300 and told me it could go up. I guess labor is the big part of it. I went to another shop trying to see if I could get my brakes done and they told me $530 plus tax. I went back to Just Brakes and the manager was really nice. He remembered me from before and how stressed I was about the financial side of things. He worked with me and I got them done for $199 plus tax. I appreciate them working with me and showing me that there are places out there that don't try to rip you off.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND Yesterday was my first time at a Pep Boys & I must say I was impressed by the professionalism & common courtesy. I came in the store because all of my tires psi were low however one in particular was so low it was barely reading. When I arrived at the Pep Boys Brandon without hesitation & a positive attitude offered to make sure that not just the one tire but all of my tires are reading as they should before I left. I was expecting some sort of gouging price just for the air and looking at my tires but was shocked when there was none. Devin the Mgr. Also came out to greet me and just say hello as well which I thought was awesome given the climate that we are all in. It was a welcoming experience. Thank you Pep Boys
Do not take your car here, I had an appointment for 2pm I was told an hour maybe an hour and 30 minuets tops, almost 3 hours later they still had not even taken my car back! And I still had 3 people one of which I know were not there before I was, and had no appointment was taken in front of me?!? For the same thing I was there for! Then they didn’t want to give me my keys, oh we will do it now, NO you won’t I have been waiting almost 3 hours... Just save yourself money and aggravation and go to Walmart service center on North Tarrant and Davis BLVD in North Richland Hills... fast nice staff NO BS and they are cheaper! If it would let me do no stars I would! But I wanted to leave this review to warn others!
Jimmy was determined to get my tires fixed today and got my tires from other stores. Others required me to wait til Monday. He supported me when I had challenges getting my blown out run flat tire. He helped arrange the towing service when I had difficulty getting through the line. Superb service and stayed past closing til I got my car back. Also pep boys digital experience from the towing service through car inspection to the final repair was splendid. Love the constant texts and high-tech deployed by pep boys IT. Very effective and efficient and experience driven. Most of all, Jimmy Rogers is excellent! Great people, process and tech. Oh best price for my tires too.
I had a flat tire. Took it to two other places close to me...one said they couldn't fix it but to try a competitor (i appreciate the honesty),the other said I needed an entirely new tire(which I can't afford). Stopped at this Pepboys, they said they could patch it for $20 with no wait! The tech (im sorry I forgot his name) fixed it no problem and offered to fill my spare with air also because is was low. Went inside the pay and Kelly the Manager said "No Charge". I was shocked! So generous. They helped me more than they know, money is very tight right now. Ill definitely be back and would recommend this location to everyone. God bless them for their kindness today.
I'm absolutely amazed this shop is still open. I made the mistake of purchasing tires and a 1-year alignment from here and have seen nothing but poor service anytime I've been in. I made an appointment for an alignment at 2pm, arrived at 1:50pm. Was told their tech would get to it when he gets back from lunch. At 2:30, I ask what's going on, the guy there says they're working on an alignment on another customer's truck. after wasting over an hour sitting there, I walked out at 3:00PM since I had to pick my daughter up from school. "Ok, here's your keys. We can't do anything about it if there's a customer ahead of you." Well, what's the point of an appointment?
Had an appointment to get my tires rotated (free service) and all 4 tires aligned. There were 4 mechanics, and 2 cars being worked on. One of those cars was mine. I sat in that lobby for over an hour, when a different location that was busier had me out of there after 20 min. They were also not able to align all 4 tires and I did not receive that information until they were checking me out, but still charging me for all 4 tires ($180)(?). Not a fan of pepboys in general, I have yet to have a good experience, and this solidified that. Checking in my car/receiving my car was easy, and the people working the desk were nice enough.
When we arrived to pick up our cat the manager who was supposed to be helping the customers at the front desk was asleep. We called out several times to wake him and on about the 4th time he cracked his eyes open, looked at me and fell back to sleep. I literally thought he had just took alot of drugs and was overdosing so I called 911. Once EMS arrived he woke right up and had no recollection of me ever being there to pick up my car. It was a very strange and highly unlikely professional visit. I have to say I will not be returning and I will be turning people away to try to save them a visit like I had.
Had some sqeaking and shaking in the brakes but didn't have time to change my own brake pads so I took my vehicel here to get a quote and see what was wrong. They told me all pads and front rotars needed to be replaced @ $700. I went to a local parts store and got everything for $200 took the parts home and began to change the rotars and pads. Much to my surprize both the rotars and pads had more than 50% life left. Cleaned them up for $5 with no more sqeaking or shaking (maybe the tires were on too tight). These places are notorious for gouging uninformed customers. BE CAREFUL.
Went in for just an oil change cost more than most places I have ever taken my car too. Got to work and noticed oil leaking from car next day they had to tow my car back oil was all over the tow truck when we dropped it off back at their shop. The next morning they called and said something cracked that maybe the tech tightened to much then when I get there the manager tried to play it off like it wasnt anything they did and it was a mystery why my car was leaking trying to pretend it wasnt anything they did. Members of staff and managers both rude throughout whole experience.
In March I had Pep Boys replace my front-left wheel bearing and CV axle. They were nearby and open on Sundays so I gave them a shot. What a mistake?! I'm just now discovering that Pep Boys never performed an alignment after doing the suspension work. Discount Tire says my tires show excessive edge wear and Pep Boys is just shrugging their shoulders because "I didn't ask for an alignment." Their negligence is somehow not covered by the $68 extended labor warranty they charged me for. So now I get to prematurely replace my $700 tires because of these fools.
Had made two reservations. One on 8-2-13 and another on 8-3-13. On 8-2-13 I was told after I arrived they were all filled up and couldn't really help me that day even with my appointment. Then on 8-3-13 the same thing occurred. At least this time they called me about 40 minutes before hand, but it is frustrating to make an appointment and not have it honored. I took my business to Meineke over on Western Center Blvd, where I was greeted with a smile and serviced without a hassle. In short, I wanted to be their customer, but they just didn't want my money.
Pep Boys on North Beach Street damaged my car. I came in for a routine tire alignment and while trying to put my car up on the blocks, the serviceman driving it rammed it into a shop machine, knocking the front grill out and cracking a piece of the front bumper. The manager was very kind and apologetic throughout the process, but now I have all this extra stress and headache trying to get my car into a repair shop to be fixed. I understand that mistakes happen, but truly, I'm not sure the serviceman who damaged my car should be driving customer vehicles.
Made an appointment on line for oil change and tire rotation @ 2:30. Arrived early to find that they had sent one technician to get parts and the other technician was at lunch. Ok no problem. Reschedule for 9:00 am the next morning. Arrived for the service and got my oil changed, but they had to substitute the brand name oil with pep boys brand. Again no big deal. They never rotated my tires that I purchased at this location. This is the second time this store didn’t do what I asked for! I am done! Y’all should just close up shop!
I called to get a quote on rear brakes for my truck. The man who answered the phone flat out refused to give me a quote. He said that he had to see the vehicle in person. I explained that I was calling around to get quotes and I wasn't going to waste my time going to each place for their "visual inspection". I asked if he could just give me a bland quote for only replacing the rear pads and yet again he refused and said I could come in and get a free brake inspection. I WILL NEVER use a company that doesn't disclose their pricing.
I pulled up with a flat tire, at 6pm. Marcos was kind enough to open the door and see what I needed. He and his employee stayed at least an hour after closing to help me. They were honest with me, letting me know that they didn't carry the tires that my vehicle needed. They then changed my bad tire out for my spare. They were both extremely honest and helpful. I'm so thankful that they were kind enough to stay late to help me. Integrity and a willingness to go above and beyond is extremely hard to find these days. Thanks again!!!
Came here on Black Friday to buy some tires. After looking at the full purchase price online with tax and install included I went to the store. At the counter I asked the guy how much to install the tires I had picked out and he seemingly made up a price on his calculator that was $300 higher than the online price then brought it down to the normal price “with a discount” to the normal everyday price. Crooked as heck. I reconfirmed on my phone he was trying to cheat me then walked out and went to Goodyear for an awesome deal.
I really liked this Just Brakes location. The cashier was very nice and friendly!!! The waiting area was clean and neat. The only two problems I did have were that they wouldn't air up my tires even though I offered to pay for that, and that there were no magazines out of about 20 that were for the female customer. Women get their oil changed too, and spend their 30 minutes to an hour waiting for their oil to be changed, so it would be nice to have a couple of magazines for us. Overall though I would go back!!!!!!
Had a great experience at Just Brakes in Keller yesterday. Alan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. In fact, he was able to undercut the dealer service dept quote on new calipers and brake pads by almost 50% AND he was able to get the necessary parts and work completed same day. The dealer could not guarantee the same, as they informed me the parts may not come in until after the weekend (3 days out). My car is running great now! Alan provided the level of service and knowledge that will keep me coming back.
Took a vacation day to make an appointment for diagnostic service for my vehicle under warranty and show up at 8 am only to find out the one and only mechanic who does diagostics was out sick that day and the day prior. No potential phone call the day prior and no same day phone call informing me they wouldn't be able to do any diagnosis or repairs? Poor customer service in my book. Had to waste the remainder of my morning tracking down another service company associated with my warranty. My rant is done.
Be careful of these con men. They “offered” to fix my car, which was overheating, for $3900. They said the entire cooking system needed replacement (every single element of the system). Turns out, thanks to a good firefighter buddy of mine, I found out my car has a small (but persistent) radiator leak. It cost me $159 to buy a new radiator from Oreilly Auto parts and beer/dinner for my friend to help fix it. (Everything else in the cooling system functioned perfectly). Avoid. These. Guys. At all costs.
Had purchase tires and brakes from a different Pep Boys and after 2 months noticed a noise. Went back to that Pep Boys where I purchased tires and brakes and was told it was the Texas heat causing the noise. I new that was not correct information. Decided to go to a different Pep Boys on Beach Street. Great customer service!! Marcos and his employees went out of there way to figure out the issue and fixed the problem!! Definitely will be a returning customer at this Pep Boys on Beach Street!!
The service was great at store 1785. Very professional. I just dropped in to do an oil change and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. My truck was completed before I finished my courtesy chips and drink that they provided. It was a pleasure doing business with Lewis walker and entire staff also you will get a military discount if you are in or was in military. The prices are very reasonable also. Overall I give them 5 stars and recommend going to them to get service on your vehicles.
Absolute ZERO. They will over charge you on parts and labor, AND ADMIT IT TO YOUR FACE. And if you're a woman, good luck because they DO NOT take you seriously. They don't care about you or your situation, they're money hungry and inconsiderate. Please protect yourself during these times and go somewhere with a better reputation. You guys didn't take me seriously, held my car hostage and left me in an extremely difficult place financially. BE CAREFUL EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
Just Brakes is now Pep Boys here. The first time I came here, when it was Just Brakes, I could sense an attitude but just chalked it up to them having a bad day. They did end up replacing my brakes. So when my brakes started squealing again, I figured let me give them one more shot. Glad I did. Not only did they bleed my brakes but eventually warrantied my brakes out and replaced them. Would gladly come back again. Thanks guys. Awesome work all around.
Great location! Took my car in and Kevin listened to my concerns and then drove the car. He and his team (Noah, Zen and another guy whose name I didn't get) worked to get it back in shape. Same-day service with absolutely no pressure to add any unnecessary services. Prices were well below what Firestone and Christian Brothers quoted for the exact same services. I left happy with the work provided and will return without hesitation whenever necessary.
I would like to express my gratitude for the excellence of service I received from Chris off of North Beach in Fort Worth. He was helpful, genuine and considerate. He was knowledgeable about the issues of my vehicle and I knew I could trust him. Being a single female can be difficult but it was a great experience. They are certified mechanics and the Better Business Bureau recognizes this place. I really appreciate your help, Chris! Thank you!
Thank you so much Abbey for helping us yesterday. our van tires had been leaking air continuously and we could not find the problem. He instantly took us in and found the issue... a broken stem valve (i think that's what its called) and got it taken care of immediately. We got tire work at pep boys a few months prior so i think we were under warranty and were able to get it fixed without charge! Thank again for being so helpful.
Terrible customer service Lazy and slow. Tried to rip me off after looking at my truck for an 1.5 hours and told me they couldn’t do an alignment because I need new upper control arms. Waste of time. Got it done at a local shop with no issues. Pep boys wanted to charge me 300 per control arm with new ball joints and 700 dollars in labor. Let them know I was a mechanic and would fix it myself and wouldn’t be coming back.
My battery had died on Christmas Eve so I had my car dropped off at pep boys. I was expecting the worst but it turned out to be a simple repair. When I picked up my car they had not only fixed what needed repair but they went the extra mile and fixed other small little problems my car had going on without asking and at no extra charge. I’m very impressed by this location and will definitely be going again in the future
Paid over a thousand dollars for new rotars and brakes 18month ago. Took longer than they said it would because the equipment was broken. Couldnt do the alignment I requested because that equipment was broken too. 18 months later I had to take it back in because 3 of the 4 rotars were horribly warped. Was told no charge by the service manager. Only to find out that was wrong too. Dont go here if you can avoid it.
I dont like the manner in which they do business. I was informed my caliper was cracked, but there was never any leak around tires, breaks, or anything around that area prior to them telling me, or them making attempt to change brakes. In the end they ended up covering cost of caliper. They should be able to show before and after pics of parts if they said it had already been thay way. Im never coming back here.
I've gotten my oil changed there several times now and they have done a great job each time. They are very timely and I have never had to wait as long as they estimate. They don't try to up sell you. During one oil change they did notice the plug needed to be replaced, and when I asked if it could last a couple more longer he was very honest with me and gave me details of why I needed it done at that time.
I brought my vehicle in for pads. All of a sudden all the mysterious things are wrong with my breaking system. I only had pads done. See pic.I drive to work and hear a loud grinding and clicking. The tech didn't bolt my caliper back down. It messed up my caliper..and my rotor and pad too. This place is a freaking nightmare. I called the regional manager..he made these fools fix my car correctly. Headache.
My car battery quit and left me stranded. I called and spoke with Jimmie and he came out and provided a jump start. I went to Pep Boys from there and they installed my new battery. Everyone was polite, professional and extremely helpful. From the time I called to the time my service was completed was less than an hour. I was very impressed with the service here and definitely recommend them!
Jose (the manager) and Lew were extremely professional. My car required an oil filter that they did not have on hand and Jose called around to get me one at no extra charge and still had it done in under an hour. I will be going back for tires and breaks in the near future and any other services on my car that they can help with. Great people, great service and an overall great experience..
Made an appointment online and then called just to ensure the tires my car needs are in stock, the young lady that answered the phone was just plain unwilling to help, wouldn’t even look up the tires I would need saying she had to look through every brand, when all she had to do is look up the size. I can deal with lousy customers service to an extent but laziness is where I draw the line.
My experience here was phenomenal! The manager Jose went above and beyond not only for me, but also for every customer that came in while my vehicle was being serviced. Amanda at the front desk was very friendly also. You don’t see excellent customer service too often these days and Pep Boys deserves to be celebrated! I will definitely be a repeat customer from now on. Thank you Pep Boys!
I went there a couple of months ago and the rep wanted to replace two parts that I had just replaced which means they were trying to rip me off. In addition, I just found out that the cover underneath was hanging because they did not put all the screws back. This is not at all the service that I need. I can not trust this place anymore. The rep that used to take care of us is gone.
So a Lady at counter whom I met , was so rude and the voice was irritating me. She doesn't know how to treat customer even as a First meeting. I had made online appointments for oil change and of course tire rotation. And she treat me like a begger who is willing wanted to free of service( at no cost). Wow !!! How they run a business
I recently took my 1996 Jeep in for a brake job. The techs were very courteous and helpful in explaining not only what had been done by other shops in the past but what was needed now in order to repair them. They also explained what should be done almost immediately and what should be done long term. They provided no pressure to get the more expensive repair.
Jimmy is a great manager. Call ahead for up to date info on wait times, and he might even let you know when to call back or show up. Be sure to check for online coupons, texted right to you from the website. Only downside for me, oil changes are kinda pricey. $95, even after a 25% off coupon. But, that's for a full size truck. I'm sure it's cheaper for cars.
Paid for an accurate diagnosis of my EVAP leak and two locations later I still have the same unresolved issue and suggestions to "fix" parts that aren't even part of the evaporative system. 7 hours of waiting, recommendations that make no sense and nothing but excuses as to why they can't do anything for me. That's what I got from pep boys for $140.
Do not go to this pep boys I ordered 4 tires, they put on 3 the 4th tire took 2 months to come in. Then when it came in I asked how long it would take for 1 tire to be put on with the wheel alignment they said 2 hours when it actually took 4 hours. When i asked for a small refund the manager said not going to happen. Horrible customer service.
Had them replace our breaks. Brought it back multiple times and explained they sound weird. Four different times and every mechanic said nothing was wrong. Took it to a different company and within minutes they told us Pep Boys put the breaks on backwards. Another time they were closed at 6pm when the website clearly states 7pm.
Went in to replace my battery and discovered the alternator was bad too. Would've cost me a ton, but Mr. Marcos and his team patiently spoke with my insurance to make sure I paid less than a tenth of the quoted price after confirming coverage and warranties. Stellar work done. I will gladly return to this location again.
Walked in took care of me and my car, Jimmie at the front desk was super helpful took the time to look at my car and told me it was a nail in my tire instead of taking advantage and just charging me for a new one , much respect to the team over here they make you feel welcomed and really have you best interest at heart !
I just moved here and was looking for a place to fix a flat tire. Spoke to Jose on the phone and he was very accommodating and asked me to come right over that he would take care of my car. Less than an hour later I was on my way. Great price, great customer service! Go see Jose for all your customer service needs
I love pep boys already… but this location on Beach St. in Keller is awesome. The store is always clean, staff is very professional & Jimmie is amazing. He always makes waiting for my car to repaired pleasant & smooth. He and the staff are truly superstars. This is my new go to location for all of my cars!!!
I scheduled an appointment and waited over 35 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge that I was there. They disrespected me by disrespecting my time. They found an issue on my car that would have been nice to get an explanation while I was there and never mentioned it since the issue was actually a big one.
Ever since we moved to the mid-cities area we hadn't really settled on a place to get our cars serviced until we visited Just Brakes on Beach. The staff is so helpful and the service is excellent. I love the fact that they rotate your tires as a part of the oil change experience. Thank you, Just Brakes!!!
In response to the owner related reponse I did email and call and they decided to do nothing about my issue. Even sent me out of the shop unsafe as I'm missing a lug nut now and my wheels are shaking and the manager at the store said nothing she can do now. That must be an automated response?
Continuous change in managers results in poor service for those revisiting customer. It appears with each new manager they have an agenda to upsell and discredit the previous managers work. Pep boys is just a sticker on the building and operates more like a body shop with new management.
Technician was helpful. Although a bit of customer service support would be helpful. The tech was more attentive at the end of the visit due to my need for a picture of the old battery. Also, a readjustment of the battery cover was needed due to being loose after installation.
Rodney is awesome! Super helpful and knowledgeable and is always looking out for his customers. He definitely does right by people and runs his business like a family business instead of transactional. I always use this location and will continue to for future needs!
I went in for an oil change and while these guys did an amazing job, the front team was incredibly helpful and friendly. An extremely satisfied customer here and I will be returning for any automotive needs in the immediate future. I suggest everyone do the same.
Pros: Nice staff. Do not need to show your coupon to be applied Cons: Not telling customer about current coupon available online. Slow service, told me service would take 1 hour so I waited there but it turned out 2 hours. Seems like they don't have enough people
I've been going to Just Brakes #153 off & on for a little more than 3 years, closer to 5 or 6. I have never been disappointed with their work or their customer service. I would definitely continue to go to them & would have no problem recommending them to anyone.
The guys were super helpful and walked me through everything and kept me up to date with everything that was going on. They told me all the stuff that was going on, why it was happening and what it meant for my car. I would highly recommend them.
Short staffed. Dropped my vehicle off at 10:42am for alignment, received an update at 3:58pm vehicle was ready for pickup; sign on door stated they were closing at 4:00pm today. Stopped by for an update because no one was answering the phone.
If I hadn't purchased a lifetime alignment package some years ago I would not come to this business for any auto service needs. In the past couple of years I've met two different managers/service professionals and both have been unwelcoming
I took my Mazda CX-5 in for an oil change and A/C diagnostic. The gentleman who was working the desk informed me that it would be about a two hour wait until my car could be taken in, but offered to make me an appointment for a later time
They warrantied a repair from another Pep Boys location, communicated through whole process and installed new tires and completed all super fast. Kelly and his team are great and I'll definitely continue trusting them with our vehicles!
They were absolutely helpful. The group kept me up to date with what was going on, and were very friendly. They give you recommendations, but will work with you on what you are comfortable with paying. I highly recommend going here!
Good prices on tires and excellent customer service. Service time was a little longer than quoted but they more than made up for it. We were very pleased and will definitely be returning for our tire, break, and oil change needs.
I recently had some brake work done on my car at Just Brakes! The staff was very helpful and explained everything that was done to my car. The service was very quick as well. They did a great job and I will definitely go back.
This place is a TERRIBLE RIP OFF!!! I went in because they were close to my house and the $99 brake special looked good. They called shortly after arriving and gave me a quote for $898 to fix the brakes. Wow....SCAM!
The Manager, Angela Robinson, is to be commended. I had a miscommunication with her mechanic and was charged 4X what I was quoted - she refunded the difference and turned an extremely angry customer into a happy one
The new manager Jimmie is great. Reading past negative reviews, I can tell you that this is definitely a different experience. Marcos was incredibly helpful and I really appreciate their prompt and honest service.
This was my first time trying Pep Boys in Keller. They were very accommodating after my dealer let me down on fixing my issue. They got the repair done in 3 days not 2 weeks. Definitely will be back. Thanks Jimmy.
Great tire experience with this Pep Boy location. Ordered tires at a very good price on Thursday afternoon and was able to book appointment for Friday afternoon. Would definately use this Pep Boys location again.
Excellent service. The store manager Tony and his team were meticulous with my brake job and oil change. They explained all the issues and that allowed me to make an informed decision on what needed to be done.
Came in for new tires and an oil change. Left with no tires two taxi rides and wasted time. Customer service is not their concern here spoke to the district manager Tom. Took my business elsewhere.
The manager Elvis rocks, always very nice, patient, and willing to explain things. He goes above and beyond to help. Always satisfied with the service he provides, and the workmanship he possesses.
So in need of help I have a flat tire and I proceeded to call at 5:20 p.m. and they close at 6 and still no answer very poor service. I feel like nobody wants to work so they don't answer the phone
I had a positive experience with the Just Brakes on N. Beach in Keller. I felt that they were helpful, thorough, and knew what they were doing. I would recommend them and will be a customer again.
They are a little slow, but they get the job done at a fair price. The waiting area is okay and there is a Sonic next door as well as other places like Starbucks and Walmart in walking distance.
Booked appointment lifetime alignment at this location 2 times for 2 different year. They said alignment machine broke down twice time and didn’t call customer. Wait a lot of time to come here
I came here because I had a nail in my tire and the place I got my tire from couldn't fit me in for the last few weeks. Pep Boys took care of it pretty quickly. Happy with the results!!
Ever since they forgot to put the oil plug in my car my engine has been messing up. All they could offer was an apology and a free oil change like I would ever want to come back here
Horrible place. They get you to come in with a $99 brakes change then tell you it will be $400! Buy your pads/shoes from autozone and find a local mechanic to put the pads/shoes on.
They did not honor the appointment time. Was told everyone just went on lunch. The only reason I was even willing to use the higher priced service was because of the appointment.
