The food is good and the menu has some real Mexican dishes. One of the best things there is the tres leches cake as dessert, if you go there you MUST order the tres leches cake for dessert, even if you are not thinking of having lunch or dinner, get the cake trust me on this one. Why 4 stars and not 5? The service is quite slow, not the food but the staff who takes the order, we had to go to the counter constantly to ask for things and we were the only table in the restaurant, nevertheless, the staff treated us very nice always with a very nice smile and very friendly. One thing that I didn't like is that the Margaritas are 15 each but if you order a Jug it costs 50 however you would think that you are getting more maybe 4 margaritas as it's a jug, nevertheless the jug only has enough drink for only 3 margaritas which if you order the margaritas separately it ñ would be 3x15 =45. In other words you pay more for the same if you get a jug. Not to mention that it's 95% ice and I didn't really think it wa s Avery good Margarita anyways. Maybe the frozen one tastes much better The decoration of the restaurant is very simple and they could do a little bit more to make it feel like a Mexican restaurant.

May '23 Back to average. Reserved an outdoor table for lunch. It was in the shade with no gas heater like the others. My chili con carne (red beans) was bland. If the flavour was in the beef (?) then why bother serving a Veg option without trying to make it tasty? I come here only because the other half likes it. Edit June '22: New mgmt and menus! Vegan and other dietary options catered for now. The menu is extensive and interesting. We had the salsa verde entree - made at the table and was a unique and tasty experience! Vegan burrito and quesadillas for mains with a bucket of corona beers. The only flaw was they made a vegetarian not vegan burrito for my wife. This was quickly replaced. We loved our lunch today and will make a point to come back soon! Uninspired. Frijoles taco is the same as you'd make at home using a tin from the supermarket. No condiments on the table. Where's the jalapenos or sauces? Where's the flavour? A bucket of Corona's is good value.

Made a booking a day before. Turned up on the day of the booking to find that the manager that had taken our booking the day before had not put it in the system. We could not then sit on the booth that we had requested more than 48hrs before. We get a table eventually and they take 20mins or more to come and take orders. Then came the waiting game. We checked in at 6:45pm and left at 8:15pm without being served mains. Only to be provided with an excuse of your order was placed last. Yet whilst we at the restaurant they had to grab a table from the people that were having a Christmas party to set up for someone else. Who they had served both entrees and mains whilst we waited. If you have time to waste then l recommend you book with them.

Took my friend and her 2 girls out to Pepe’s as it had some great reviews however, our experience was less than favourable. The waitress was not engaging at all, drinks were just placed down in front of me with no engagement whatsoever. It was clear what drink went to who as she took our order, little to know verbalisation from the waitress so, that was our first interaction and, it wasn’t pleasant. We all ordered beef nachos and, to our disappointment, it was not delicious and tasty, this was evident of 4 plates not even half eaten, we asked for the bill and left. Overall our experience was not pleasant and, I doubt we will return, pleasant waiters and being welcomed into a restaurant all set the sene and dining experience.

I regret to share that our recent dining-in experience at Pepes Mexican restaurant was disappointing. Despite being regular patrons, we booked for 6pm. Food quality and service have noticeably declined. Our 3 basic mains took over an Hour to be served, and frozen margaritas 20 minutes each time. Other diners were also frustrated, speculating that the volume of Uber deliveries took precedence. The atmosphere was tense with unhappy customers and inexperienced staff. There was no apology for the extended delays when we paid our bill. Considering this experience, we may think twice about returning on a busy night, if at all.

My favourite Mexican place in Brisbane - not just for the food but for the atmosphere and service as well. Visit often with my family and have collectively tried most of the menu and are very happy with everything. Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth you must try their dessert nachos ! Our family has been going to this Pepe’s for over 10 years now and it’s still as good as ever. We had a fantastic dinner (enchiladas), and food came out quickly. Service was attentive and friendly! I’m wondering if the owners might consider bringing back the various weeknight specials that they used to have previously? We would definitely dine in more frequently if they brought those back. Overall a great meal and experience, as usual. Have never had a bad meal or experience here and always look forward to coming back.

I have had the pleasure of enjoying a few delicious meal at Pepe's Mexican Restaurant Jindalee. The meal sizes are massive and all of their Mexican dishes are amazing. I also tried their selection of tequila, wines and sangrias, which were superb. The prices were also very reasonable. The atmosphere was also excellent with a great laid-back vibe. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making for an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Pepe's Mexican Restaurant for an excellent meal with great service.

I’ve been coming to Pepes for over 20 years. They’ve seen me before children, during childhood, watched me navigate life with teens and medical challenges, watched me gladly wave goodbye to my ex-husband and now continue to welcome my 24 yo daughter and I on a regular basis. There is no other restaurant I can think of that deserves this loyalty and I come here because the food is insanely good, the service is always fabulous and the cocktails are the best this side of Brisbane. Staff are helpful and friendly. Authentic Mexican dishes on offer. We started with jalopeno poppers and nachos with homemade guacamole. The guacamole was definitely a hit with my family it was delicious. For dinner, we had the cochinta with pulled pork, beef fajitas, and taquitos. The fajitas were tender and flavoursome. I also appreciated that the generous portion size. was definitely a standout dish. Ee also had fish tacos. I highly recommend this place to check out their great Mexican dishes.

House Margaritas where well mixed but it came in different glasses and not all to the same levels . One was full to the blue rim and the next glass was half way of the glass. Yummmm Big, delicious meals. We are both vegetarian and loved it. The Mexican soda was so yummy! We had to try the deserts... We saw previously in a review the tres leche was the best so we had that and the dessert nachos and actually our fav was the dessert nachos! You must try the dessert nachos if you are a chocolate lover We will be back again! Thanks for the friendly service. Only suggestion is if you want entrees and mains separate make sure you tell the waitress. We got both mains and entrees at same time but we didn't mind too much since we were hungry.

We have been eating at Pepe’s for years now and the service has always been amazing. This time though, the service wasn’t what we were used to getting. Food took a while to come out, we had a toddler and the kids meal was only of the last meals to come out. Overall food and drinks were amazing, could just work on the service a bit more

We went to Pepe’s Jindalee for my daughters birthday dinner, food was so good, great cocktails and so accommodating to us we took balloons and cake they organised a private spot for us and sorted the cake for us. Service was super fast! Great place highly recommend.

Always a fantastic dining experience but Tuesday night Corona night is amazing value. 18 bucks for a Chimichanga and a Corona. Best deal and amazing service. The other 'chain' mexican restaurants don't do Chimichangas...like what the? And just love their famous mexican punch. Our favourite Mexican Restaurant which is why we keep going back.

Great food and friendly staff. Prices reasonable for hearty and tasty portions. Diverse menu makes me want to return and try more dishes. Happened to be Weds kids eat free so bonus for us. Churros are really good! Good options for drinks, bar also available. Environment is spacious and clean, has outdoor seating available.

I love Pepe’s! It’s by far the best Mexican around! Everything is so flavoursome and reasonably priced too. The staff are attentive and friendly and the venue is funky and casual. The only minor suggestion is to add some cushioning to the booth seating as the hard wood is so uncomfy after a short while. More

Honestly 10 out of 10 for the Guac - made it live in front of me and that was a great experience and flavour! Rating was purely based of the Guac. The Other meals were okay but didn’t stand out as the Guac. Overall great dinner experience.

Don't let the look of the place dissuade you, Pepe's food was delicious and really fresh, like it was home made. Maybe the serving sizes could be a little smaller – we didn't finish our meals!

Truly authentic Mexican food here. Love the fish taco and Fatijas, very tasty. Dessert also very good. Churros was crispy and not oily. Tres Leches well balance not too sweet.
