If I could give no stars, I would. I have been coming here since I moved to Indiana for my poodle mix's grooming. Well, I have alternated between here and another place, but used here when I needed it in a pinch. Anyway. More to the reason for the awful review. I scheduled my poodle mix for a TRIM. A TRIM. I had done the pre check in, and indicated that my dog has health issues to make sure they didn't just blindly check in. I also marked that she was NOT to be put in a dry kennel, and I did NOT want her tail touched *because I trim that myself*. I have been a vet tech for over 13 years- know how to safely trim a tail. I just didn't want to groom her otherwise because honestly I usually prefer an actual groomer. I had my fiance bring my dog in and he told them exactly that. He relayed the information and Petsmart at the time indicated that they "would probably need to trim it if there were matts". News for ya. She's a longer haired dog. She doesnt get matts..she gets knots here and there but admittedly yesterday I didnt brush her because I knew she was going to the groomer. They did NOT ask him a preferred length to cut. They did NOT clarify her health issues. When I picked her up..... my long haired..spunky poodle .... looked like a hack job chihuahua. Even her ears had been touched....and her tail looks like a rat tail. They were not sympathetic. They did not apologize. They claimed there were matts. What matts require you to shave skin tight!??!?!?. It should also be noted that I witnessed the "manager" manhandling a terrified little dog (maybe a pom?) So if your dog is an older pom... be aware, hes probably going to hate nail trims in the future and probably will be sore for a few days. In the checkout line even the manager couldn't hide his face. We will NOT be back. This is poor service and the worst Ive ever had. Im generally a pretty understanding person- she's a mix breed. But this..... this is unacceptable. Photos to be added soon. My phone wont let me upload them at the same time. Edited to add: photos. 1st 2 are of her now. 3rd her the night before And 4th is of her previous cut with THE SAME HAIR CONDITION. There are no matts. Ever. They just were lazy and illeducated on what a matt actually is. Word of caution for anyone considering their grooming... they are uneducated high school drop outs who just needed a fast job. None of them have prior grooming experience.

This place keeps exotic parrots in the worst conditions. In complete darkness, living in fish tanks, alone with one or two mediocre toys. It was heartbreaking to see. This store should be BANNED from selling birds since they do not even care about giving them a decent life. Please call this store and urge them to stop selling birds. Please stop selling live birds now! Birds sold at your pet stores are members of species of wild animals who don't belong in captivity, where their needs aren't met and they're commonly denied opportunities to engage in natural behaviors, such as flight, foraging, socialization, mating and nest building. In your stores and at the mills in which they're hatched and raised, birds are kept in small, crowded cages, denied veterinary care , and left in the hands of employees with no specialized training or species-specific knowledge whatsoever. Most birds sold in pet stores today were raised in large scale breeding facilities, in which living conditions are terrible and mortality rates high. Morever, PetSmart, according to your own website you are still selling parrots, while Petco stopped doing that in 2005. I beg you, please stop selling live birds in your stores!

Definitely would not recommend the grooming. I took my let there multiple times and was made aware that she wasn’t friendly or cooperative with nail trims...haircuts were never reported as an issue. I began trimming them at home and just scheduling haircuts. So upon my most recent visit it came as a surprise when the young lady who seemed perhaps new at the job struggled greatly with grooming. She have a discount because she wasn’t able to complete the schnauzer cut and so the next time I made an appointment weeks in advance with a stylist who had groomed our pup multiple times with no problem. The DAY OF our scheduled appointment I got a call advising they couldn’t take the appointment because our pet was so difficult. When I expressed that only the one girl had ever had trouble the girl became very nasty and snippy (even defensive because I think perhaps SHE was the one who struggled so much). At any rate the store manager promised a call from the Grooming Salon manager...not holding my breathe on that a week later now. Needless to say we will go to a new salon that is capable of handling the job AND more importantly, knows how to treat a customer. Disappointing.

This is directed at the groomers, not the store itself. I took my dog on Sunday, 7/14 and was surprised on how quickly they groomed him. As soon as I went to pick him up, I was told he is no longer allowed at the groomer because they have to go at a slow pace because of his age (he is 10 I think). I did let them know prior that my dog has arthritis on his back legs. I've taken my dog there a few times in the past and have always received compliments on how well-behaved he is and how he allows them to brush his teeth (when I do it, he gives me grief). I also noticed that they didn't do a thorough job with his nails, some were short and some were still a bit long. After coming home, I noticed blood on the car seat but didn't think much of it. However, the next morning after our walk, his foot started bleeding A LOT because they cut his nail too deep and this has been going on for 2 mornings in a row. If you have a large and "old" dog, you might as well go to the Franklin location because they are a lot nicer and friendly. The personnel in the past I've interacted with in Greenwood were great. The personnel now are not so great.

Had an absolutely horrible experience at this Petsmart. Me and my boyfriend have been wanting to adopt a kitty, and we saw one here that we wanted really badly. When we first tried to introduce ourselves to the lady working back where the kittens are at, she was automatically dismissive and looked as if she didn’t want to be there or want to deal with us. Everytime we asked her a question her response was very rude and snarky, like we were bothering her. Somebody came through to look at a kitten, she let the person back there to look at the cat, but when we asked to look at the one we wanted after the other person left she said “no. You can’t see him right now” mind you, it was not the same cat that the previous person looked at. We filled out a paper to apply to adopt and she wouldn’t even come out to get it from us, told us to slide it under the door and overall was just very lazy and dismissive. Definitely shouldn’t be working in that section if she’s going to be rude to customers like that, especially if they may be new to owning a pet.

I don't know how else to contact this location. I had a buzz cut grooming appointment for my 80lb golden doodle, Wilson, and it was bad. They got way too close to the skin, burned him, and they didn't even cut all the hair. I was told $95 base + additional fees depending on the extra time for mats up to $160 but couldn't give me a price until after. He did have mats and overdue for a cut, I was expecting a fee, but he wasn't that bad and I had trimmed his head and back that week already. I included a photo I took the day before. I received a phone call 3 hours after, which is standard, and she told me $142. I ask how much longer it took and she said an hour and a half. It's never taken less than two. But, whatever, I don't fight it, and I pay no problem. I noticed at home actually how bad everything is and I've tried to call at least 8 times over four days and it's never answered, told to call back later and then it disconnects.

This location is kind of meh. They have a wide variety of dog and cat toys, treats and accessories. Their prices run a little higher than other pet stores in the area. The store is usually clean and organized. The staff is okay, overall they seem friendly but you do need to hunt for someone if you need assistance. Sometimes there's a fairly long line (5+ customers) to check out. I have never seen more than one register open with other staff members standing around having side conversations. I have not used their vet or grooming services. I would reccomend going somewhere else for fish or exotic animal supplies. They have a limited selection. Their fish variety is limited and the tanks seem kind of dirty. The equipment seems like it needs an upgrade. I would return because the location is really convenient and they do have some cheaper seasonal deals on dog toys.

I used to shop here and did training all the time with my dog Xena. She passed away 6 years ago. I have been back a few times the last couple of years with my new dog. The staff is always friendly, even though you can tell they don't have enough help. The only reason I still shop here is to get prescription food. The sidewalk in front of the store is caked on with urine. Yes, dogs pee, but it should be power washed a couple times a year. I went in right when they opened. There was dried pee on some shelves and a couple of spots on the floor. It's just not sanitary. Especially with a vet located in the store. You would think the vet office would help with the cleaning around the office area. I will continue to get my prescription food from here,but unfortunately, I will not be able to bring my pup.

Using my boyfriend's account to type this. Genuinely I don't understand how people go here to this location and why it's still in buisness. First, it's not clean. Last time I was here a couple of months ago, there was a pee line from one aisle to the other. No one in sight. No wet caution sign. If I had fallen, they would get sued hands down. I had to hunt for someone to inform and this woman seemed off. She shrugged then said "I will get to it when I get to it". Really? Her hair was a mess and kind of wavy and she looked completely checked out. Blue eyes, short. Lastly, I only got two items. The line was long and only 1 register open. The cashier was an older nice lady but she looked displeased. Overall do not suggest going here. There are way better places

We made an appointment to have our pup groomed and for a nail trim. We get a call a couple of hours before the appointment, telling us that the groomer didn’t come to work today so they need to reschedule our appt. I appreciate that they called but I don’t like that they were unwilling to make any accommodations to get us in this week. They offered to get us in during the middle of the day any day this week. Well I have a job so that doesn’t work. They refused to help us get in next weekend, even for just a simple nail trim. I spoke to Terry and while he was friendly, he was not at all helpful when it came to helping us out. We found another local shop that agreed to take care of our pup today. I wish Petsmart would have made an effort to keep our business.

My finicky cat, Leo worries me. Some days he will eat the food I get him and I think I have hit the jackpot. I then order a case from Chewy. I learned my lesson. He tries 1 can then refuses anymore. I have discovered Pet Smart. They carry every brand and flavor you could imagine. Rather than falling for his game that he loves it, I have started going to Pet Smart to buy 1 can of many brands and flavors. He has turned his nose up at a couple of chicken flavors but seems to like fish flavors the best. I keep the names of the ones he likes and I have duch a great selection at Pet Smart. The customer service is great and they are so willing to offer great ideas. I love this placee . They will undoubtedly save me money with their large selection of cat food.

The people are very helpful and I usually have a good experience here but I came in one day and bought a few tetras for my fish tank that I'd been keeping for over a year and the tetras turned out to be very sick and killed every one of my fish. When I went back to get cat food one day, I talked to the employees and they said they knew they were very sick and were trying to take care of it but were still selling fish. That's the only problem I've ever had with them. Edit- I'm adding this about a year later. They've gotten better, the staff always tells when they're getting new fish and are very helpful and I usually find everything I need here. Water quality in the tanks still isn't great but it has gotten better.

If you have ANY animal that isn't a dog or a cat, petsmart isn't for you! This place has abusive cages, toys, diet, litter types, animal environments, and more. As a ferret person, I am disappointed in these popular chains. Way to many small pet owners go to the pet store and pickup an animal or supplies without any research on the animal. The way they treat the animals for adoption themselves is horrible. The tiny poorly ventilated tanks that keep chinchillas, ferrets, hamsters, birds, etc are terrible. Petsmart is for dogs and cats, nothing else. Please do your research, and only go to petsmart with a dog or cat.

I took my multipoo for grooming in December. When I picked her up her eyes looked irritated and a lil red and raw around her snout. Next day when we got up her eyes were so swollen and watering and she had a raw bloody spots around her snout. It continued to get worse each day. I don’t know what they did and I never called because after reading other reviews it’s clear it’s a continued pattern. My baby will never go to another pet smart especially the one in greenwood. Terrible shame. It’s been almost two months and her snout it healed but her eyes especially the right one still has issues.

The greatest employees! All are so kind more than willing to help. Not often you go into a store in need of product and they stop at what they are doing to help you, at that with a smile. Needed supplement for my sweet dog. They always have everything you need, well stocked and to boot clean store. Petsmart made my day! They priced matched what I needed so I got two. Can't say enough! Employees always smile, talk with you makes you want to stay. We love our animals extremely high priority and Petsmart feels the same. My girl lickin her chops because Petsmart had her favorite treats too.

I'm in Franklin, but make the 30 minutes drive to the Greenwood location because they always have groomers on-site and they can take care of matting. You have no idea how many times I went to the Franklin location, which is less than 10 minutes away from me, to be told they need to reschedule me because they can't bathe my standard size labradoodle. At least if you go to Greenwood and your dog has mats thet can take care of it without having to waste your time! It's worth the drive not to get rescheduled. I've always liked every groomer that my dog had, I think the last one was Kaitlyn.

Been coming to my location almost my entire life; its easily my favorite of the local pet stores. They have very good pricing here and I still own fish that I bought from here years ago (they are even more hardy then some of the "famous" LFS's in Indiana!). And we have been more than satisfied with the lovely dogs & cats we have adopted from this location as well! (My only critique is that I would like to see more variety in the fish selection! I feel like I always have a pretty good idea of what they offer, when sometimes other stores may have better stocking options.)

Went in looking for diarrhea medication for my dog I searched for online and said it was in stock at this location, so I go in and show the lady the picture and very rudely denied having it , she said they didn’t carry any anti diarrhea medication which I highly doubt thats true and told me to get a can of pumpkin and give it to my dog . Very insignificant help very rude and unprofessional acted like she knows everything when in reality she’s nothing but ignorant. Didn’t ask her name but was between 40-50 short blonde hair and glasses.

We had someone help us and he was great! He was extremely friendly and personable. I felt bad for him because he was getting a hard time by a lady. There was a sign that said the fish couldn't be sold. He was extremely calm and told her what was going on, but she wasn't understanding why management couldn't sell fish. My only suggestion for management is to put the reason that the fish can't be sold. It'll show transparency with your customers and cause less negative interactions between your customers and employees.

I was in Indianapolis visiting a client when I saw the pet smart in greenwood on hwy 3. I went in to purchase some dog food. Theresa was the cashier. She was smiling and just seemed to really enjoy her job. She was very friendly, directed me to the right area and even let me know what kind of food her dog liked. Banfield pet hospital was a horrible experience. I walked up and Michelle the practice manager was at the front. She greeted me and asked how she could help... once I pulled out my prescription for dog food. She said the girl behind her on the phone would be right with me. 5 minutes later the girl got off the phone and looked at me. She did not say anything and then the phone rang she took that call. I was never helped and walked away. Horrible experience and horrible customer service.

Good place to get anything you may need for your pets. The only reason I'm giving it only 3 stars is because the couple times they've groomed my pups, they cut my oldest Boston Terrier's nails too short and caused him to bleed because they cut into the quick each time. He's the most calm dog too. I've taken my dogs to 3 other groomers and that's never happened anywhere else. I would recommend this place for dog food, treats, and toys. Just take your pups somewhere else for grooming!

Very friendly & helpful staff! If you enjoy looking at cats, this is the place to go! Even consider adopting one, please do! I adopted a kitten here back in September 2014, it was Saturday adoption day. His name was "Tony the Tiger" at the time. I changed his name to "Moose" due to losing a cat named Tiger recently then. Fast forward to January 2021, & he's one of the happiest, healthiest cats we've ever had. I'm more than happy we adopted Moose from here a few years ago.

I normally don't leave reviews, but I had the pleasure of receiving assistance from Terry. He was on the ball and went out of his way for me, he went above and beyond. I bought a 75 gallon tank and he helped me from picking out everything I would need to helping me load it up. It's not every day or month you get good help. I'm writing this a month later (because I spaced it) and I still remember his name. I hope they take care of him as good as he took care of me.

It would be nice if the groomers would follow the customer's instructions. I've been bring the same dog there for 11 years. I ALWAYS tell them not to brush out my dog's tail. The last three times, I have picked her up and her tail is brushed out and looks like it belongs on a black squirrel. Screw it up one more time and I'm finding new groomers for both my dogs. I guess they lost all the good groomers to COVID-19 or to better paying places.

Great staff, highly professional and up to date on what products are safe/unsafe. An employee told me a product I was about to purchase was being recalled. I am so thankful I was informed. I was trying to buy different treats for my pup. Needless to say, I was impressed with their honesty and integrity. You can tell all the employees care about the health of their current and future clientele. I can say I will be returning to this location.

Like the place. Need to update stuff. Newer stuff coming all the time. High prices for me, assume the quality is there thou. The cat lady who brings shelter is cats is questionable whether she likes her job on any given day, but I don't have her job. All in all, the place is a positive. Can take your dogs in, that's great. They do not clean their poop area out front and dog owners do bother to pick up even w bag station right there.

I rented a carpet cleaner and I had to clean it out before I could use it. It was disgusting. As I was cleaning it out, I learned that it was home to a tiny spider. I am also disappointed that I cannot find many treats that are free of beef, salmon, and poultry. I can't even find sweet potato only treats. They sell freeze dried pork by the same brand but not their sweet potato 1-ingredient treats.

Ran on down to PetsMart to get a dog bed for my huge dog. It was busy and a little hard to find an employee. They were all helping others. I totally understand. The beg was on the very top shelf. I found an employee asking how to help. He was quick to get the ladder and help me with it. He had such a great attitude. I had a nice conversation with the cashier as I left. Unfortunately, it was a little understaffed for a very busy night, but even though it was understaffed I was still met with amazing and friendly customer service! The store was very well kept, everything was super easy to find, and when they noticed the lines were getting long they were able to open up another register to get us out quicker. Took my dog ELMO to get groomed and nails done 7/08/23. BAILEY was the groomer. He is very picky about people touching his front paws. She figured out a way to get them done, she got all but one nail done. Told me to bring back tomorrow our in a few days to do the last nail. She could have gave up and not done them. So Thank you Bailey, will be going back to let her groom my dog

We took 3 dogs to be groomed at pet smart. They shaved them and one had his tail hair cut as short as possible. It will take a long time to grow out! They gave the excuse that it was too matted. No comment when they were dropped off, no call while they were there. Same dog was cut very poorly. Tufts sticking up all over. Apprentice monkey barber⁉️ Do not use groomers there‼️

Great trip this time. We found a ton of fun toys for the cat and the doggie. We couldn't find the specific type of weight control food our sheltie is accustomed to. Two store associates helped us figure out that they have rebranded the version and found us the equivalent replacement food as well as a premium good stuff catnip. Thanks for the help!

I've never sat in the parking lot and posted a review before I even drove home, but here I am. Adam in the aquatic area was so helpful, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. I'm newish to the Southside, and I will only be coming here from now on. The lady ringing me up was also very pleasant. Overall, it was a great somewhat-impromptu stop!

This location is one of my favorites. Everyone is very friendly and was able to assist me and my husband when we had a flea problem. They were able to calm my panic and give me great advice. Took my dog to the groomer and showed the vaccines and they kept saying it was out of date. Instead of scoping to check she told me to come back I scrolled and found it but she wanted to keep arguing with me and when I asked if we can do it she said yes. Wasn't too crowded on this Christmas Eve 2020. Multiple needed help finishingselections for all pets. Friendly check out associate. All in all a good shipping experience. Got live crickets. These employees are so great. Love love love them. I just had surgery so I called and asked if they could have 15 to 20 crickets ready for me.. and the woman said absolutley no problem. We will have them ready for you. This is the second petsmart we've been to and this location has been the best in customer service, ease of appointment, and timely grooming. Went in to look for some joint supplements for our elderly pup. Wow! Soooo many options it was a bit hard to choose from. Spent an hour looking at the colossal amount of dog treats. Spent $85.00......thats the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5. A bit on the high side, but totally stocked!

Took my dog to be groomed here. Honestly wasn’t super impressed with it. My baby didn’t really smell as good as I was hoping and his hair was hardly even trimmed even though I asked for a full cut. Mind you I have a yorkie. His grooming was just a week ago and he’s already due for another cut.

There's always a line to checkout because even though there's 4 checkout stations, there's always just one person doing checkout at a snail's pace!! It's like why did they even build those 3 extra checkout stations? Just to sit there!? Other than that, everything is usually pretty good.

Most employees are helpful, like Tyler. I called about an item and an hour later when I got there he recognized me by the item I was purchasing. Granted not everyone goes in for "the cone of shame" for their dog. Lol It works very well and my destructive dog hasn't destroyed it yet.

Easy to find items and very clean store. Seems a little under staffed, but those who were there were really helpful. Easy returns, I didnt have my receipt but the lady was able to look up my purchase using my rewards card. Super easy.

Friendly, helpful, willing to answer questions, love there is a vet there. The groomers are fantastic. Very clean and staff are very safety aware. There are some things that are pricey, but for the most part they are affordable.

Krystal did a great job of grooming my pet, especially for a first time visit. She was able to put my little doggie at ease within the first few minutes at the salon. I will definitely recommend her to friends and family.

Waited for 45 minutes just to get crickets. Then they gave me the wrong wattage light bulb for my bearded dragon. He had stress marks all over him because of it, so I had to spend another 20 dollars for another bulb.

Placed an online order. Supposed to be delivered by door dash. It got cancelled and resent to door dash twice. Was on hold almost two hours fighting this mess. They wouldn't just cancel my order and refund the money.

I took my dog to have her nails trimmed and her ears cleaned. ($16). They were very good to her and did a great job. They were aware of her discomfort and tried not to make her any more uncomfortable than necessary.

Customer service is horrible. Charging for plastic bag, then asks if I want to donate my change, and proceed to tell me Walmart is also going to charge for a bag. What is wrong with this company??? The worst!!!

Bought two betta fish a few months back. One supposed to be a male and the other a female. The male passed away within weeks and the "female" we were sold was actually a male as well as we recently found out.

They do not have very many choices for bearded dragon bulbs. Two young female workers were not really working just walking around talking, the store and rest of employees were great
