Appointment was made week prior. Online check-in was completed. I dropped my dog off at the groomer for appt @ 1pm. Received call at 5pm stating they only got his bath/brushing done but not haircut because a groomer called in and my appt should have been canceled. The groomer I had appt with was who I dropped my dog off with. They said after I stated the inconvenience for their lack of scheduling/organization, they would stay and finish the haircut. I then go to pick up my dog and they said he was too anxious to finish the cut (after 5 hours without getting groomed). I was told that they would fit me in the following morning to finish after the salon manager could contact me. I set up alternate transportation for my pet the following morning and never received a call. In the afternoon received a call stating that I would have to bring him nearly a week after the original appt on Sunday at 4pm or I am welcome to check elsewhere. My dog has been half bathed/half brushed/ half cut. I will never return to this grooming salon. I've never had my dog get anxious when I bathe him nor when I've taken him to a groomer since he's been a puppy (now 5 yrs old). I've been lied to by multiple people about my groomer calling in when that's who I dropped my pet off to. That they were overbooked was my fault/problem/inconvenience. I was mislead to when they could fix the cut. Now my dog looks hideous and will for a week until I get him into another groomer. Absolutely ridiculous service and respect from this grooming salon. DON'T GO HERE!!

This review is specific to the grooming services, posted hours for that are until 7pm. I prefer to get my dog’s nails trimmed by a groomer. Last time I came here, I was told you need an appointment for any services after 6pm. There is no option to schedule an appointment for a nail trim online. I called today before visiting to ask if I could schedule a nail trim that way and was told they DO take walk in services after 6, so I do not need an appointment. I get there today at 6, and I’m immediately told they do not do walk in services after 6 because there’s only one employee. Extremely frustrating. To clarify I do not put this on the employees and do not think disciplining them would help anything as they seem like well trained friendly people. This is 100% management’s fault for not setting a consistent policy. Either put another person on for walk in services past 6pm, or post a policy on the website saying you don’t take walk ins after 6. News flash, people who work 9-5 would like to patronize your business and you’re making it unnecessarily difficult!

Bowls were stacked with multiple clearance signs, all saying the price was $4 a bowl. However, apparently they put non clearance bowls into those stacks, and they rushed me through the checkout and I did not have a chance to see the price they rung up at, which was a non clearance price of $10 per bowl. Id bought two, due to this deceptive marketing practice, and ended up returning them. A similar situation almost happened the same trip with multiple 4-5 lb dog food bags being marked down to $10, all on the same shelf of clearance items on an endcap. I put one in my cart, but when it rang up as $25 i had to tell them that I would not be purchasing that item. Was not a fan of the store essentially lying to their customers about what their actual prices were, let alone intentionally grouping together clearance and nonclearance items in a section labeled clearance. Will not be coming back here if i have the option to go elsewhere.

I go to this store every week or two for feeder fish and mealworms for my turtle. In the past 18 months that I have been a regular, there have been maybe two trips when someone was actually by the fish. That wouldn’t be so bad except that it takes FOREVER for a staff to come. The cashiers (who can see the fish station quite clearly from the registers) won’t call for someone when they see people standing there so we need to go up and ask, I will see staff in other parts of the store, see staff standing up front when there are no lines, but so rarely does a staff make it to the stand in any sort of reasonable timeframe. I will be looking into other pet stores. This one is less than ten minutes from my house but with the amount of time I spend standing around waiting for the staff it will be quicker and less frustrating for me to drive somewhere further.

My boy Pete who is a new rescue from a shelter just got groomed today by Kiara and they were so amazing about going at his pace and understanding that he might struggle through some of the process of his bath and brush, and I can tell he was incredibly comfortable by the time I picked him up! Everyone seemed to love him like he was their own and made him feel so special and cared for. I would recommend a groom at Petsmart, especially with Kiara! So patient and willing to listen to any concerns and questions you might have. Pete loves it, and so do I! We also love this Petsmart itself, too! The employees are so kind and helpful and always willing to help. And, they are so friendly and loving with Pete, too. We are big fans of Jill, who always helps us out when we need anything! We’re so glad to be a part of the Petsmart family. ❤️

The prices are a little high, but as I understand a portion of their profits go towards keeping shelter rescues safe, fed, and warm...so I’m happy to continue doing business with Petsmart (because of that) The 1 complaint (particularly at this location) I have is that the cat boxes (in the areas where rescues are awaiting their forever homes) are almost always full and the smell can be overwhelming. I know it’s not the most fun aspect of the job, but I would think that working there you’d have to be an animal lover. If that’s the case, you should understand that these cats aren’t able to get away from that stench and their sense of smell is superior to ours. If it’s bad for me, I can’t imagine how bad it is for them. Cleaning these boxes should be a requirement to the start of every shift.

If you're getting grooming services, be sure to check their listed prices. If you ask staff they will avoid telling you about better prices they offer. Staff is unhelpful and even when it's the same person I spoke with before, they pretend like someone else gave me the bad info. I ended up paying $20 for 2 services, but it would have only been $28 for 7 more services. Even after I pointed this out, staff said they would charge me $40 for what their website lists as $28. They told me it would be a 3 hour appointment for a bath. Staff does not communicate with you or your dog. Throwing a choke leash on your dog without warning. Services performed are adequate. I won't be back.

if I could give zero Stars I would number one I told the lady I can't wear masks because I break out in rashes and I've been vaccinated and she continued to tell me to put on a mask in a very rude way and after I said I told her I break out and hives from these masks she said oh yeah so do I in a sarcastic way so number one quipping rude to customers number two how are you supposed to adopt a cat if you can't even interact with it you guys are very disrespectful and I hope you can find a way to interact with customers in a nicer way no need to be rude I'm a human being too have a good day and I'll be sure to let everybody know about this store oh yeah and go f*** yourself

I took my puppy Bianca to get Groomed I guess the guy that was grooming her must didn't have patience for her coz she was knotted in the back so she was crying in I guess he said that she was trying to nip at him so they cancel her appointment call me and told me to come get my puppy they sent her out wet she look like she been in a fight with another dog They refuse to cut her to make her look decent so I took her to Royal pets that same day and they had no problem they had the patience for her coz she's only 4 months and she left out nails cut she looked fabulous I will never ever take my puppy back to petsmart grooming in northeast Minneapolis they get an F

My new favorite petsmart! I needed help with leopard gecko issues and one of the staff members I believe her name is Anne? Awesome gal she went above and beyond to help me and put me on the right path with my concerns. I'm sure I took up alot of her time but she didn't rush or anything she even wrote down tons of stuff for me and some tips and tricks as well. I had to go back and tell her thank you what she recommended worked. So grateful for her. The rest of the staff there are great as well I've never seen any grumpy butts there so thats great:) Not a fan of the location lots of people because of the target and the other stores but so worth it!

I can't say enough good about the groomer Jenna H. My job is not conducive to planning to be gone, which makes scheduling difficult. When I called, Jenna was very polite, positive, and accommodating. I was able to bring my dog in the same day for a bath. When I arrived she reviewed what they would be doing and offered additional service options. I opted for the recommended holiday special and left. About an hour later she called and my dog was ready to go. When I picked her up Jenna again reviewed what services she performed and how my dog behaved. I could not be happier with her professionalism and service.

First off the training lady never called us to tell us pay before we come, online it says pay when you get there she tried to lie and say she left a message but neither me nor my mom got a call for VM. She then walked off while I was trying to talk to her and figure out what went wrong because my dog is a service dog in training that’s why we were bringing her. Then after speaking to someone else we got another day I just called to see when it is and the lady hung up in my face. I don’t have time for games I have a baby to care for and currently 7 and a half months high risk pregnant sand catch the bus.

Ok pet store it's where I go for all my pet scenes clean store Friendly staff prices are competitive have never left the store without finding what I need my pets are always happy and full my pets are allowed in the store with me which is nice especially when I'm shopping for them overall just good atmosphere I really really hope everybody has the same experiences I do while shopping in the store for your existing friends or if you're looking for a new friend to bring home with you they do have those also many blessings and to all and please let me know if your experiences were as well as mine there

The store seems well stocked and the employees were really nice, the store was in a great location, but I can't give this a 5 star. I have been needing to get my dogs nails trimmed for a while and I finally had time tonight. I called this specific location's grooming salon and who ever answered said that they were open until 8pm. I got my dog all ready (car rides are quite the ordeal for her), drove 20 minutes and got there to be told that they were short staffed in the salon so Tuesdays and wednesdays they've been closing at 5pm. It was very frustrating and it was too late to go anywhere else.

..employees can make such a difference in your experience at petsmart locations vs other stores. It’s hard to know what is best for your pet, with all the brands and options to choose from.. if you happen to be near this location stop in and ask for Tia she did a fantastic job helping me choose what’s most suitable for our two bull dogs!! (and if you ever owned bull dogs you know they need special treatment!) plus the location seems to stay consistently maintained and cleaned whereas petsmarts in the metro it’s a bit hit/miss. Overall great experience here.

I love the grooming salon at the Quarry location. I bring my dog in probably every two months for a bath and trim, and they always do an excellent job on my pup. He’s always very happy to get his bath and gets very excited when they take him back. He always looks and smells really good and they do such an excellent job with him, I can’t say enough good things about the staff in the grooming salon they’re so friendly and so good to my dog

We had our dog on a grooming cancellation list and got a call on 6/16 from Alayna 2:46pm to schedule our dog for a haircut. Showed up today after leaving work and driving 20 minutes and they do not have him scheduled for today. It really seems like no one can do their job properly anymore - so very frustrating and all managers and employees have is excuses - no solutions - 100 excuses. DO NOT USE THIS GROOMING DEPARTMENT AT THIS STORE!!

I had a horrible experience shopping at this location tonight. I was in line and ready to checkout.Then there is this woman went straight to the counter and cut in front of me. AND the cashier didn’t say anything and was going to scan her items. I have to go and say “ excuse me, I’m in line” just to not letting her cut. Extremely disappointed with this shopping experience. I’m a fish owner and this store has decent prices and selection, especially for fish tanks and accessories. The fish themselves are hit or miss, sometimes the tanks look great, other times they’re riddled with ick and dead fish. I sometimes buy fish here, but prefer the specialized fish stores over petsmart. This place is close to where I live and very convenient, especially being next to a target and cub foods.

Selection is smaller than other TC stores. Employees unprofessional. One pushed a row of shopping carts in front of my car while pulling into the handicapped stall. Had to stop fast, ruined the entire shopping experience. Blocking the handicap parking with your carts is really bad form. Not apologizing to a handicap customer after causing a road hazard is just plain irresponsible.

I can not say enough good things about Shannon, one of the groomers at this location. Our sweet girl Kiah is shy and anxious, and Shannon always does an incredible job making her comfortable. She’s so sweet and patient with Kiah, and does a wonderful job grooming her (Kiah is a border collie/Australian Shepard mix). Truly cannot recommend Shannon more highly!

Based on my experience today in the grooming salon I won't be back. Don't bring your skittish puppy in - they are not patient nor experienced enough to take more than 30 seconds with your pup...they then determine because she was scared and peed.that they won't groom her. Screw them- there are better groomers out there, no more money spent wiith this company.

Was looking for a crate for an excitable puppy. Had a wonderful experience with an employee who answered all my questions that a local pet shop tried to get me to by a pet carrier instead. The pup is comfortable resting in the crate as its door is always left open. She did suggest training treats and a "clicker" which helped train her on walks in the park.

Seems to be very under staff and customers may have to wait awhile for service if there are multiple customers. My interest is the aquarium department and the offering seems to have shrink lately. Especially with the fishes, I'm to assume that it's not a big seller and not a priority. The store is clean and spacious and the available staff are helpful.

My wife and I live North and things can get busy so can't always get NE, we bought fish from there, we lost about 4 in first week, went back about a month later when in the area, tried to explain to manager the situation, no sympathy at all, what happened to trying to help the customer? Had to take a L. Decided not to spend any more of my money there.

It was difficult for me to find the restrooms were nit available. That meant I couldn't linger and look over the aquarium critters. Instead, I needed to spend time figuring out what kind of wet catfood my senior indoor cat could eat, and not turn his insides out. It was a stressful visit. Must be better prepared next time- if I have that luxury.

We stopped by with our two pups for a nail trim and it was the fastest nail trim we’ve ever had, the girl working was quick with the whole process wich is important since our guys can get a little anxious AND they got two cute matching bandanas that I’m just in love with. Sydney is the best groomer my dog Louie has ever had. I'm very particular on how my Cavalier is cut and shaved (they typically aren't shaved so most groomers don't understand) but his cut turns out great every time. Pricing is very fair. She takes the extra time with your dog as well. They know him by name every time he walks in the store.

Apparently because my dog is 14 years old PetSmart has determined that, for her own health, she shouldn't be groomed again in her life. A bump she has had on her back for the several years I have owned her is now suddenly a new problem for the groomers, and they prefer she stays permanently un-bathed until death.

I stopped in for pill pockets on behalf of a client. They were relatively easy to find. I found that an employee talking to customers near the checkout could have social distanced from me a little more. I once had a negative experience at PetSmart so I generally do not shop here. Overall, it was fine.

We were disappointed to the grooming service at this location. They didn't treat our dog well, made him crying all the time, and even didn't wash him clean nor dry him fully. We respect how other Petsmart treat with our cute energetic dog, but the service in this location is indeed awful. Never come!

I have gotten a few pets for this location and the care and information I got was gear each tome. I had my puppy’s training done here and the trainer and classes were amazing helpful and informative. Having a strong will dog the skills I learned here has helped me prevent bad habits and behaviors.

Petco didn’t want to service our doggy Bella anymore due to her being so vocal and easily distracted by others around, so glad we changed to PetSmart, the groomers are really nice and so patient with Bella, will definitely keep coming here, they did a good job, happy customer happy dog mom.

The groomers here are top notch. We bring our nervous dog in for the pawdicures and he hasn't had any problems here. Whenever they can, they have a Groomer's helper that assists. They just hang out and pet our dog and reassure him. Always grateful that his experience is positive and quick!

Due to a local encampment being formed nearby, out of necessity for our houseless neighbors, this PetSmart turned their public bathroom into a private bathroom for employees only. They've kept the sign up however for the bathroom, because management doesn't have the smarts to take it down.

Wonderful knowledgeable friendly and did not make you feel uncomfortable at all. Brought me to a quiet area to fit my golden retriever with a gentle leader and Fence stayed completely calm. Great service and great dog trainers there in the quarry if you ever need one. I recommend Amanda

I've been going here for about 4 years and the prices have always been ok. I made an appointment to have my cat groomed there. I've been going elsewhere but was told their prices are better. I arrived on time but the groomers were all gone for the day. I guess I'm done going there.

I like to go here because of its proximity to my house. I do think they have quite an assortment to offer, but it is a bit spendy. To make it 5 stars for me, they should expand their small pet section (like bunny and guinea pig stuff). Thank god a pet lover like Sierra works here!!

The people are kind, the prices are reasonable. Several times they have price matched expired coupons or the price of the larger sized quantity if it is sold out. That is the kind of customer service I'm surprised to get at a big box store, but I thankful that PetSmart offers it!

If you love your animal and have their best interest in mind, please don’t get them groomed here. They took a buzzer to my Pomeranians fur and cut out his under coat. Now his hair won’t grow back the way it used to. Who doesn’t know that this is not acceptable? I guess petsmart.

Done playing the Amazon game. the delivery was nice but petsmart will not jack you around on the price of cat litter and for the most part dog food. Located inbetween some NE minneapolis staples like cub, home depot , target, 5 below, and leann chinns around th corner.

Kudos to a store where the clerk at the front register hollers out a "Hey, Welcome" when you pass through the doors. They have such a huge selection of stuff for dogs that I usually end up leaving with more than I came in to buy. Very fun place to visit and shop.

We use this PetSmart for our vet (Banfield) as well as grooming and shopping. It’s hands-down my favorite pet store in the twin cities, not just PetSmart but this one in particular. The vet care is great and all the staff is helpful and pleasant.

Its my closest pet store, so I do frequent it. The staff is friendly and does a great job at keeping a distance. The only thing that I find a little frustrating is that they lock the frozen mice up and you need to hunt someone down to unlock it.

Everyone here is so friendly every time me and my dog go in to pick up food or treats. They politely ask you to wear a mask or face covering during covid19. This is our local PetSmart and I enjoy coming here everytime.

Went to groomers with the dogo today and the staff is always so sweet, care about the animals, are thorough with the questions. Talk to the animals with a genuine care. It's great to observe.

Their phone line is so rude. They do not let you finish your line and they hang the phone before you finish. They don’t even answer your questions even after you repeat it couple of times.

Fish tanks are in very tough shape all the time, 10/10 don't recommend buying fish there. Store is decently clean with decent selection. Prices are average to a bit high.
