I loved that the city was built around the stadium. Buildings are super close to the stadium. Trees are growing from the ground making it look very natural. I was amazed how much homeless are just around the corner from the stadium. Going into the stadium I was so happy to get the free Padres hat as we were coming into the gate. Security was very fast and efficient but even when I bring the minimal my cell phone and wallet the alarm still goes off on me. Never found out what caused it to go off. I guess it is over sensitive which is a good thing. Once in the stadium I found there to be a wide range of food options. From acai bowls,to hot dogs to Greek food to Mexican food. Prices for food were around $15.00. Water was $5.00 for bottle water. We had a little bit of a challenge finding our section. After a little bit of a walk we found it at section 112. Before going to our seats we found this area a good spot to photograph the field. I loved our seats in Section 112. One thing I did notice in our section all the seats between seats 2 and 3 had two arm rests. So this means there is a small gap between you and the person next to you. You do not have to worry about sharing the arm rest. I did not feel tight and I was very comfortable. Also leg room was very good to. I am 5 foot 9 inches and I felt there was plenty of leg room. My legs and knees never touched the seat in front of me. (not sure if this is a thing everywhere in the stadium) One thing that did bother me is people consistently getting up when the game is in play. Staff could stop people from entering the section when game is in play. I found this highly annoying as I was trying to watch the game. Overall I loved my night at Petco Park. What a fun night it was!

Pros: ️ Great views and a variety of local food options available. Unique features like the Western Metal Supply Company and fan experience areas like Gallagher Square. Conveniently located near the Gaslamp District with easy access to transportation options like trolleys and parking. ⚾ Home to the Padres with a range of events, including baseball games, concerts, and holiday festivals. Passionate and lively atmosphere created by fans, earning it a reputation as one of the top baseball stadiums in the USA. Cons: Strict bag policies and potential complexity with parking and transportation. ‍♀️ Difficulty and confusion in navigating the ramps. ️ Some obstructed views in the left outfield seats. The most popular food options at Petco Park include Hodad's classic bacon cheeseburger and Pizza Port's signature pizza. Additionally, you can find a variety of restaurants like Cravory Cookies, Din Tai Fung, Gaglione Brothers, Holy Paleta, Puesto, Randy Jones Grill, and Seaside Market. The most popular beer at Petco Park is San Diego Pale Ale.394, made by AleSmith in honor of the legendary San Diego Padres player Tony Gwynn. The price of beer at Petco Park typically ranges from approximately $13 to $16.

Regarded as "The best ballpark in America" for multiple years in a row, you can tell right away why it earns the title year after year, it is definitely an experience to witness at least once. Located right in the heart of downtown San Diego, it's super easy to get to, best way would be to take the trolley instead of driving, parking is limited and expensive. Food and drinks are reasonable, between 12-18 dlls for a 24oz can of either bud light, Modelo or pacifico, plus there's plenty of craft beer options as well. Since it's located right within the gas lamp district, there's plenty of food options around the ballpark, you're allowed to bring in outside food as long as it's sealed and within a practical container. You can't find a bad seat in this place, tickets can start at $15 and beyond, I recommend using an app like Seat Geek to find better deals, especially at game day. It's an amazing place, with great views of downtown San Diego, great atmosphere and a perfect location.

Fantastic stadium! We had such a great experience at Petco Park!! We were in the luxury box on terrace level 6, overlooking 3rd base and home plate. The tickets came with free parking at the Lexus premium lot, right outside the dedicated suite entrance. Parking is normally $50 and requires reservations the day before. In the suite, there is air conditioning and complimentary food and you are not sitting in the hot sun (the game was at 1 PM ). Staff was super friendly, and the facility looked brand new and modern. It is located right downtown where imperial Ave dead ends into the stadium. (Non suites have a different entrance). I definitely recommend the box seat experience if you can swing it. Private, yet we still felt like part of the crowd. The giant jumbotron screen and audio quality were amazing. Everyone seemed to have a good time and join in the spirit of the game. We saw the Padres win against the Mets, so that was a wonderful hometown win!

Petco Park is the only pro baseball venue in San Diego; concerts are here too…kinda small (40K+ capacity) and jammed into downtown San Diego. Nearby parking can run $80 a shot unless you prepay somewhere. They do have an area for ADA drop-off which is nice. During sellout events, get there plenty early, even if you take MTS/trolley. Lots of food choices—all cashless. Can be extremely hot in daytime on ‘first base’ side-be aware; ‘third base’ side is generally in the shade by 3 pm even in the summer. Lots of bathrooms available; ramps, elevators, escalators as well as stairs. Could be my imagination, but the stairs on the upper most level of third deck, feel extremely steep. Visibility difference between upper and lower 3rd deck areas is significant.

Got the joy of visiting petco park in San Diego to watch a padre game, the atmosphere was wild the lines weren’t too long which was nice we were seated in the Lexus club which was really awesome padded seats wider than the average seat and less people so it did not feel crowded at all. Only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because pricing on food and drinks everything is over priced, but if you go to a game it’s really kind of expected. Even a hot plain hot dog is nearly 8 dollars. Other than that the ball park is beautiful the staff is friendly I would go again to watch more baseball games, but will most likely eat before I go to save some money.

  • Reed B

Petco Park was a wonderful place to experience as a visiting fan! Beautifully designed with wonderful premium seating if you want to splurge. Top notch food and drink options galore and very friendly staff no matter what team merchandise you are wearing! The one big negative was signage - it was an incredibly confusing ballpark if you aren’t a regular and it seemed like there were too many opportunities to go the wrong way while trying to find something. If you are going to an afternoon game, make sure you look at maps of what seats are in the shade that you can find online. Can’t wait to return someday!

Beautiful stadium. It's always great coming here to watch the Padres play. There really aren't any bad seats in the stadium. I've gotten some pretty far off seats and have still had a pretty good viewing experience. There are plenty of options to choose from for food and drinks. I haven't had any issues with the service here. There are also plenty of bathrooms in the stadium It is located downtown, which is nice if you are looking to do something after. However, that does mean that parking can be a bit of an issue. You should not have any issues if you plan to arrive a little earlier though.

Petco Park is by far one of the nicest, cleanest baseball parks I've been to! My last visit here was for a Padres vs Dodgers game, but I've also attended a beer festival here before and it is the coolest venue for all types of events. The restrooms are clean, the grounds are well maintained and there are always numerous food options conveniently located throughout the park. And the views are spectacular! The park is located in a prime spot downtown, walkable to many restaurants and bars for pre or post event activities. If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly recommend you do so!

  • Alex Cuevas

Take me out to the ball game. I hate baseball on tv. I hate bars that play sports games because i hate the loud annoying mega fans who yell at a TV where I'm barely paying attention. But the game at a park. Ok. That was cool. The park is very clean and has lots of things to do and look at. -1 points for the loud foul language fans behind me who seemed to drop random f bombs for no reason. We went there for a company event and everyone had a good time. I would go again but I still hate baseball and loud sports bars.

Petco Park is a fantastic stadium in beautiful San Diego! I've had the pleasure of attending a few games here, and it's always a great experience. The atmosphere is electric, the staff is friendly, and the stadium itself is well-maintained. One thing that stands out is the variety of food and drink options. You can find everything from classic ballpark hot dogs to more gourmet choices. The only minor downside might be the parking situation, but that's common for many city stadiums. Overall, a great place to catch a game and enjoy the San Diego vibes. ⚾

It’s no wonder PetCo Park is rated the number 1 most impressive ballparks. It is truly one of a kind. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The venue is pristine, considering the thousands of visitors, and the food is excellent, which surprised me for a ballpark. The view from anywhere in the stadium would give great vantage points of the field. The view of the city beyond the stadium walls is a perfect backdrop too! The vibe just outside the stadium (one you enter the gates) is so full of great energy and atmosphere! A Padres game is a must when in San Diego!

  • Chloe Keller

The most beautiful baseball park I have ever been to! The feeling was electric and the fans were kind. They have so many fun restaurants and vendors with lots of good food. (I highly recommend the smoked brisket sandwich at Grand Ole Barbecue) It is a magnificent place and it doesn’t matter where you sit the game is almost guaranteed to be exciting and fun! If you are ever in town and want to see San Diego’s (in my opinion) best attraction stop by for a game if you come during the season or even just to see the field and the view of downtown and the water!

  • Christina Coons

This park is an absolute gem, it is so welcoming and both pro fan and pro player (from what I can see). We love baseball even more since moving here from NY. We are officially now Padres fans too … the ease of arriving to downtown San Diego and getting into the stadium is a dream compared to the Yankees and Mets. We park in lots north of Petco and hop a quick Uber or Lyft for $10 to the entrance. The staff are friendly at Petco and helpful. I like the variety of healthier food options too. It has been a pleasure going for a whole afternoon or evening.

  • Dan Roberge

Great ball park and well worth a visit for any baseball fan visiting San Diego. It’s a newer park with updated amenities and a great location in the city. The vibe at this park reflects the city and they have events throughout the season that make your experience that much more enjoyable. They no longer have Taco Tuesday every time there’s a home game on a Tuesday but the tacos are still good and worth the price every other day of the week. Tickets are affordable and the park is clean making this a great place to take the kids or go on a date.

  • Alex Morgan

Went to the San Diego Padres versus the Tampa Bay Rays baseball game. It was a great fun game the atmosphere is friendly fun and playful. The restrooms are kept very clean and if you arrive early, It is very easy to get your favorite food and chill out with a beverage. If you're not in a super rush to leave once the game is over most are very orderly and it's pretty simple to walk out of the stadium. In good time.

The best place to see a game. Always clean and great atmosphere. If you’re visiting San Diego, consider purchasing a Ballpark tour. You’ll be in a group led by a knowledgeable and friendly guide who will educate you on the ballpark history, and take you to some behind the scenes areas. It’s very entertaining. Of course catch a game too! It’s consistently voted “Americas #1 Ballpark” for a reason. LETS GO PADRES!

Went for the first time on Father's Day, & I can't wait to return. What a great time & and I loved to see all the support from all the San Diego fans. The stadium is very clean, with a huge variety of food and beverages. It was so nice to be out in a large group of spectators, and we didn't see any trouble or people acting ugly. To make things even better the Padres Won.

I want to watch the Red Sox and Padres. The Red Sox are my favorite team and I really enjoyed the stadium. It was very clean nice and the staff were helpful. The people were great. I enjoyed the conversations I had with the people around me I would have to say it’s one of the best ball parks I’ve been to, and I’ve been to quite a few already, I will definitely return in the future just to watch the Padres since I live on this side of the country

  • Amber Robbins

Great park, truly. But you need to regulate people better. Allowing visitors to walk in front of other spectators while active play is happening is AWFUL. I've been to college games where this is better. Parks where maybe 1000 people show, and it's more respectful. Hire some folks! Also, the lines for food are outrageous, you cannot bring in anything due to bag restrictions, and finding a clean place to pee is impossible. Do better!

  • William Cloud (az96cat)

Petco is my favorite ballpark, other than my home team's. The staff are all friendly, ready to help and lots of fun. They work hard to be sure you are made to feel appreciated and that your experience is top notch. Every time we are in SD we make it a point to see at least one game, if the team is in town.

Used to be an A's fan and switched allegiance to the Friars; wow what a difference in ballparks. Coliseum is something outta mad max, compared to petco park, which is the exact opposite. Outside the park are endless bars and restaurants too. There are too many vendors and food/drink stands to count. Look for the amazing bbq nachos! (Pro tip: For afternoon 1pm games, get section 107, row 30 or up for good shade)

  • Mayola Perez

They had an event going on the day we visited. The Guard asked us if we were only going to take pictures. Yes of course so he let us through. Such History behind the park. It was truly so cool to se. I'm not a baseball fan but after seeing this place I will become a fan. A must see place.

Best ballpark I have been to so far. Located right in the middle of downtown makes for a pretty sweet spot. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I also like that they have souvenir sodas with unlimited refills. If you haven't been here then you need to come check it out.

Was a great atmosphere and the downtown view was really nice. We had luck on our side as the cloud cover the day we visited hung around for most of the game, suggesting visitors bring sunscreen as even with the overcast conditions we recieved a bit of a burn. SD took the Rays by one point with an incredible play at the plate. " Go Padres" Great Fathers Day outing at the Ball Park!

  • Colleen S

Got to dine on the rooftop of the Western Metal building with a private group, had the usual baseball fare of hot dogs, sloppy joes, nachos, peanuts and popcorn. But there are so many great food options throughout the park that you've gotta try. It's a very nice stadium near Little Italy, and numerous restaurants. With going early or staying late to explore around the stadium.

  • Max Bagley

Visited the pet I park stadium to watch my first ever baseball game and boy it was an amazing experience! Had great seats, wide variety of food places to choose from around the whole stadium. And don't forget to buy your baseball jersey before the game

We bought super nice seats for the padres game and it was my kids' first time. The view was great until it was completely obstructed by the tall guy in front of us. Then behind us were terrible teenage boys who kept screaming about inappropriate things while I had my two kids there. It made it an absolute terrible time and waste of money. I liked the hats though.

  • Justin Shaver

First time here tonight. Had a blast watching the San Diego Padres beat the Cincinnati Cardinals. Big thanks to my sister for bringing me. The staff here are first class, treat you well and each one I spoke with or had interactions with made me want me to come back again. Whether or not you're a Padres fan this is a place to see a baseball game or concert.

  • Nika Shlopov

Nice stadium and lots of food options and vendors. However as always, prices for food are very expensive and the food is very mediocre. But the ambiance is pretty nice and there are a lot of seats in the shade which is nice for people who don’t want to burn in the sun!

Came for a Saturday game with friends, and sat in section 311. We had good people all around, making it more fun. The view is good, and having the big screen on the opposite side helped. The bathrooms were clean. There are multiple concessions for food and drinks. Food was good for stadium food. I would definitely come back for more games.

  • Steven Heath

Petco Park is arguably one of the best MLB parks in the league. The employees are welcoming and friendly and the stands are clean. It's even better when you get to attend a game in one of the suites so if you get the chance to pitch in and rent one or get invited by a corporate sponsor definitely take advantage of the opportunity.

  • M Gorman

This is one of my favorite parks to see a baseball game. I love the location right in the gas lamp district. Lots of choices for food and beverages inside the stadium, but I encourage visitors to arrive early and eat at one of the nearby restaurants. There are dozens to choose from that are walking distance from the ballpark.

  • David Matz

A white dude tries Michelada for the first time. Too sour for my tasting, but I can appreciate it. The park was awesome, IMHO. It's a nice vibe, situated right in downtown San Diego. The food choices are terrific, and the drink choices are amazing. It's the 8th stadium on my bucket list tour. West Coast stadiums ✔️

  • Jacob Bep

It's been years since I've been to a baseball game and this was definitely a warm welcome back. Padres fans are some of the most dedicated fans throughout the entire city you'll see Padres jerseys. When you go to a game it is a completely explosive. If you're going to go to San Diego definitely visit Petco Park.

  • Michaël Corriveau-Côté

Nice experience for a game against the Dodgers. Very expensive, specially when you have to pay a seat for a 3.5yo worth 75$. Food and beverages are very expensive as expected. Ambiance is nice, had a kids event for pregame. Select your side of the stadium, impairs are sunny side and pairs are within shadow.

  • Taylor Hartzfeld Hansen

Came into town and decided to go to a Padres game. Petco Park is something else! If you’re planning on eating while you’re there, be prepared to spend some money. While the food & drinks were all good, it was quite overpriced even for a stadium. But that definitely wouldn’t keep me from going again!

  • Ethan Olson

Love this stadium and the fans! It is never a dull day at petco park. The stadium is always full of energy and great food. It is located right outside the heart of downtown SD and is a minute walk away from Gaslamp. After the game you'll see the Padres fans leave the stadium and hit gaslamp!

  • Kyle

Great stadium. Beautiful field. It's pretty clean facilities, too! It's definitely a must if you're in San Diego, especially if your team is playing against the Padres!

A beautiful ballpark for America's pastime. This is easily one of the best MLB baseball stadiums. Clean park, great atmosphere, the fans are always into it but also respectful, even for people who don't like baseball will enjoy the vibes. There are so many choices for food and drinks!

  • David Borough

Petco Park is great. Every seat is a good seat. Absolutely love the park. Padres won. Let's Gooooooo!!!! People are weird -- they'll get up with a one run lead 3-2 count bases loaded to go do something. Did they forget it's a baseball game? Lots of socializing LOL Be better.

  • Alex Padilla

Great ballpark! Lots of food options, clean bathrooms, and security lines were quick to get through. Sunset games are particularly amazing considering SD usually has great weather. We sat in the nosebleeds but the view was still nice and the breeze made it even better.

  • Erik Whiting

Petco Park, it was a good experience. The seats are pretty decent. Many different varieties of foods to eat, as well as beverages. I sat in section 300, row 4, seat 15. I thought this was a really good seat, you can see the entire Ballpark, and the game.

  • Chris Sweet

This ballpark gets better each year. Truly one of the best in the league coming from someone that goes to the benchmark Camden Yards often. Great sight lines. Tons of great food and beer options. My personal favorite are the Micheladas.

  • Paul Eckelman

It was nice. Seems to happen faster in person than on TV. Did have an issue getting directions to our seats. Missed an inning and a half from wrong directions from helpers. Still had fun. Parking was alot, easy an extra 40 dollars.

  • Thomas Romano

My son and I had a great experience at Petco Park. It’s truly a beautiful stadium, great fans, family friendly, excellent concessions, and you can’t beat the weather. Our Dodgers got the W to make our trip complete. Love San Diego…

  • Nicholas Bergeron

As a lifelong Braves fan i was excited to check out the Padres home field and I was definitely not disappointed! Petco park was beautiful. I loved the food and beer vendors and the weather obviously was unbeatable!

  • Caitlin Nelson

I always have the best stadium experience when coming to Petco Park! There is so much variety for food and drink options, the bathrooms are always clean and its a great place to come enjoy a game... GO PADRES!

On a mission to visit several ball parks. This was a nice one for sure! Lots of dining opportunities and great location for pre or post game activities. Would I say the best? Hmmm Top 3 for sure.

  • kalyani chikshe

Petco Park wowed us with its cool design, comfy seats, and tasty treats. The crowd's energy was infectious, and the Park at the Park was a chill hangout. A must-see place!

  • Jing

Awesome Experience! We came for a Padres baseball game and witnessed a home run! It was absolutely thrilling! The trolley system was very convenient for getting there.

  • Jodi Yeazle

Amazing ball park to catch a game!!! Great city views and ocean views as well!!! We will definitely be back 16 hour drive from Idaho but so so worth the trip!!!

  • brienne stoddard

Padres didn't win, but the atmosphere was pure excitement. it was such a great game, and they had kids' activities: throwing, batting, etc. Fun for all. …

  • David

Great ballpark! I'm a Braves fan but visited during a work trip. Highly recommend the stadium tour and catching a game. The food in the stadium is good too!

  • Eric

Amazing ball park without a bad seat in the house. Sat in section 213 and the view was spectacular. Love every moment. Tatis homered and the Padres won.

  • Wax Flower

Padres vs Pittsburg Wed July 26 2:3 Pittsburg won by 1 run. In the 9th inning, Trent Grisham was not able to bring home the loaded bases

  • Frank Pecora

Great ballpark! View, craft beer selections, food. Easy access via trolley with free park & ride at the transit center. Excellent fan experience!

  • Stephen “Mr. Haubz” Haubenstein

Top 5 ballpark, home of the Padres. Awesome, not a bad seat anywhere. Top shelf amenities and incredible Food and Drink options.

  • Phred DeBraun

I really liked this stadium. And the food was excellent! Get the cheese steak sandwich. It's worth the wait!

  • Eunjae Kim

We loved the game here! This place was so fun and cheerful I wish to visit there again
