I’m struggling to see how this business has been given high ratings by some people! I rented a property which was meant to be “let” by Peter Barry. I could write a book on the issues I’ve had with them, but, let me just say that they send cowboys to “fix” any problems with the flat, but ages after the problem has been reported. Their excuse for this was that “they couldn’t get hold of the landlord” or that their “repairs caretaker” is off sick. Often appears that they send tradesmen outside of their usual jobs, tradesmen that do private work on the side. Often saying that “Natasha sent them”. Makes you wonder what the landlord pays Peter Barry for, because I’m pretty sure the fee they charge the landlord isn’t cheap but yet the company appear to be! They are not providing a decent lettings service for the landlord OR the tenant. Stay well away. Have made a complaint to the ombudsman.

Highly recommended!! I have used Peter in two different capacities, renting and selling. I have rented a great property from Peter Barry, it was my first time renting and I was initially a bit apprehensive but Bulent, the agent that provided the service was fantastic! He put me at ease immediately and helped find the perfect property for me. He was attentive to my requests and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and my son and I were happy and settled in our new home! In relation to the sale of my property, again another fantastic experience! Theo was friendly, professional and just like the other agent went above and beyond to ensure we we felt at ease and had a quick and smooth sale during a very challenging time and market! I recently used the lettings service of Peter Barry in Winchmore Hill and cannot praise them enough for their great service. From the very first appointment, they were always very punctual, very clear in all communications (whether by phone or email), and ever so helpful in answering all of my queries.... and believe me I had quite a few. However, they were always very patient and extremely thorough and professional in all of our dealings. We’re grateful for the hard work from the Peter Barry team in letting our property in this difficult period. Bulent was forthcoming with his personal, genuine and experienced opinion about possible tenants. Whilst it would have been fairly easy to generate agent fees by putting forward unsuitable tenants, it was clear he was working in our best interests for a long term let with tenants who would take care of the property as their home. He also took the initiative when standard referencing checks didn’t take full account of the circumstances. It’s been great having Caroline’s knowledgeable and efficient advice and input on the minefield of landlord compliance. Both worked hard in the run up to a tight schedule. Thank you both!

Recently let our family home of 60 years, so a big emotional attachment to the house. Looked at several letting agents, including Peter Barry as a long established local agency. Relationships are important and we have high standards - we found Theo, Bulent and Elizabeth very responsive and polite and felt we could do business with them so we chose Peter Barry. They did exactly what they said they would do, the property was marketed and let in three days, and the process thereafter through referencing and documentation to the tenant moving in was smooth. We have only had a short relationship together but this process could not have been better. Therefore, we would highly recommend Peter Barry.

We recently purchased our first house through Peter Barry and were really pleased with the service from Theo and his team, in particular Aishling who was friendly, polite and professional throughout the purchase. As first time buyers the whole process can be a little confusing, however, there was a genuine feeling of no question is a stupid question. A total waste of time trying to let a property with this bunch of turkeys. They don't appear to be in communication with one another. The property is available, according to one agent; the second agent does not know; and the third agent informs you that it is no longer available. The property is then placed back on the market. Absolute Shambles! They also never get back to to you. You will be the one who must call them repeatedly, and good luck trying to get them to pick up the phone at all. Do they think I have nothing better to do with my life than run around on a wild goose chase?

My Mother Lorraine Shaw and I recently sold my childhood home after 47 happy years. The garden was a great attraction as my Dad was a keen gardener. After Mum and Dad contacted Peter Barry , Theo came to the house to talk with them. Theo was very professional and helpful this was January 2019. The house was sold a few weeks ago and we were both very pleased how smoothly it all went as Theo and myself were conducting this sale while abroad. I rented from this estate agent for 3 years. I had the best experience ever we went to view property and the whole procedure was done so smoothly. I stayed in the property for 3 years any maintenance issue I had was dealt with so quick and I would have a person come in. They do house inspection each year which is amazing. I really appreciate the work Bulent, Elizabeth. We have moved out as we moved to a bigger property due to having a kid. I can highly recommend this estate agent. The service was amazing.

We’ve been trying to book in a viewing for one of their properties for weeks, they’ve been so poor with getting back to us & when we’ve finally managed to book in viewings, they’ve said they have no record of the viewings whatsoever. This property has been on the market for nearly over a year so you’d think they’d be more organised. If they can’t even be organised with booking in a viewing, don’t trust them to buy/sell your house. Extremely poor service.

A decent service. Turned up for all viewings.Found one serious buyer.Very little contact after memorandum of sale issued. If they are acting as liaison between buyer and seller they might give more frequent and accurate updates.We thought all was going smoothly as there was no contact , but there were delays which led to us loosing our forward purchase . Would recommend but clarify what service you want after initial sale agreed.
