Pros -personable young man working at the front desk. Answered any and all questions I had. -I appreciate the measures that Phoenix Indoor Range takes to ensure safety is a top priority. I can’t wait to come back again next time I am in Edmonton! Cons -the bathroom was absolutely disgusting & reeked like an outhouse toilet. I viewed the cleaning sheet that was posted on the wall & it appears that it hadn’t been cleaned since June 16th, which was 10 days prior to my visit at the range. There was also this really weird small circle on the mirror with an LED light around it. Maybe I watch too many crime documentaries but it gave off creepy “spying on you in the disgusting bathroom” vibes lmao. I didn’t allow the cons to effect the 5 ⭐️ review though, because I’m hopeful for an explanation on the mirror

I had an extraordinary experience this weekend when I went for my Canadian Firearms Safety Course. I had Ebrahim Dhooma as my instructor, and he did a fantastic job keeping his students interested in firearms' safety for hunting, target practice, safe storage, and transport of a firearm. Ebrahim also gave us a history lesson on all the firearms that every student was thrilled about! Ebrahim is also a Principal of a school and is an outstanding law-abiding citizen. Ebrahim discussed to lengths about safe storage of firearms, and I am grateful he notices the big differences between Canada and the United States when it comes to storage of firearms. The fellow working the range counter was very friendly and apologetic that there were not enough range officers to staff the building on a weekend. We did try to call ahead to make sure we would be able to drop in, but unfortunately a booking ended up coming between when we called and when we arrived. The gun shop was a bit of a different story, the person running it definitely gives off odd vibes, and when asking about purchasing a case we were told 'technically you could walk around downtown with your gun as long as the bolt is removed, so you don't need a case' Overall not a great experience, we'll probably be going elsewhere for our range needs in the future.

Just had a great experience at Phoenix indoor range. My son and I we're looking to go shooting for our first time and after looking at reviews and websites decided on phoenix. This is an extremely well run and safe business. We had Jesse as our range instructor and he was fantastic. Jesse was very patient and great at making us feel educated and informed on the safe way to shoot. The facility is very clean, modern and organized. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a new person or a family or event. My son and I had a great time and learnt a lot. When in Edmonton this should be a go to.

Recently did my non-restricted course here. They did a fantastic job. Mr. Dhooma was my instructor and he was excellent! His enthusiasm was evident throughout the day, as was his experience. He made the course material compelling and the day flew by. I felt by the end of the course to have a confident grasp on the safety & firearms knowledge and the practical requirements. Going into my examination with confidence. The staff working at the range was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to visiting the range in the future as a proud firearms owner. Had an absolute blast going there on my birthday. Our instructor was absolutely professional and patient (Me and my friend picked lots of weapons). Unfortunately the Glock and the Colt kept jamming, the instructor tried his best to resolve the issue, and apologized profusely. Other than that, it was lots of fun. Would definitely recommend. Ps. I noticed some people were concerned about the little circle in the mirror in the washroom. The circle is a touch button to turn off/on the lights on the mirror.

Our range officer was Ben. He acted with utmost professionalism and was extremely knowledgeable. He had a great shooting personality and reacted perfectly when we made mistakes as first timers. Didn’t make us feel intimidated at all and because of his fantastic personality we got comfortable very quickly. Only a few shots in we were shooting very accurately because of his experience and coaching ability. Ben deserves a pat on the back for how amazing he was start to finish.

All the staff were amazing. From the moment we walked in the door they were welcoming and helpful. We went to the gun range and they had a wide variety of guns to choose from. Our range officer Michael was super helpful and accommodating. Went in kinda nervous and within a minute was very comfortable and confident. Can’t wait to go back and shoot more. Then we did some shopping and bought ammo from the store. All around an amazing experience. Highly recommend.

First time at the Phoenix gun range in Edmonton and it was amazing! William and Mathew were so knowledgeable when we were browsing the gun store. Juan was a terrific instructor and was super helpful. Mathew, thank you again for reprinting the receipts so we can have them as we head to the airport. Such a wonderful way to spend the morning, we will definitely be coming again!

Kind of a spur of the moment idea to hit the gun range yesterday. It's been 15 plus years shooting a gun. Our range officer was Omar. He definitely took his time on instruction of the safe rules and practice in handing and shooting the 9mm I chose. This young man has bright future guiding others towards safe and respectful use of a firearm. Good luck Omar. I had a blast !

My group's first time shooting and I was impressed with the place. We had Jim as our instructor and he was just perfect. He made sure that we knew the basics and taught us everything extremely well! Amazing gun safety standards there, great and friendly staff, and a great selection of guns for anyone from the beginners to the pros.

Went shooting with some buddies from work, had a blast! Range officers offered good advice and pointers to help improve accuracy and comfortable operation. First time shooters and rusty experienced guys like me will not feel pressure in this environment. Lots OT options for rental firearms. Definitely recommend.

The range is amazing for handguns, but for rifles or long arm. It's alright. The staff here are friendly despite mishaps on my behalf. Jamie showed me and my friend a positive view on firearms and regarding safety was exemplary. Would reccomend him for your first interaction within the store.

First time coming here ... The staffs were super helpful and knowledgeable with firearm. My new gun was having some issues, and a super cool staff named Jaime offered to help and fixed it . You are also allowed to bring your own firearm/ammo here unlike Wild West. Strongly recommended!!!!!

How fun was this! The staff is well trained, informative and exceptionally professional. They go to great lengths to make you feel comfortable with the firearms and have endless patience with newbies! I would highly recommend this establishment, you will have a really good experience!

Great experience today at Phoenix! Jamie S was great at taking care of our group, including recommending we try the Desert Eagle that is an intimidating handgun, but we all enjoyed it, and after shooting a DE, all you want to do is shoot a DE. Will definitely come back!
