Quiet, well maintained park that you can get some relaxing time to yourself, especially during the week or easily turn it into a one stop has it all for exercising alone or as many friends as you want! Environmentally friendly with both recycle and trash can in each area along with benches. Restrooms, waterfountains, 2 spacious, double basketball court, tennis court, the greens workout stations, playground with the softer ground cork with jungle gyms to play and climb until your or the littler ones are content, baseball filed and walk/run loop. What makes it more pleasing is the thoughtful layout to minimize crossover area accidents while keeping as much of it grass and trees, instead of the concrete jungles most parks in a city are...and every area IS handicap friendly! Bravo for such a great getaway, you would never believe your within the hectic, hassel and bassel of city life!!!

Our family loved coming to this little park in our neighborhood. It has 2 basketball courts, one in the caged area with a racquet ball net, nice park for kids to play with picnic tables. Cute garden and a baseball field with paved path around it for walking or skating. It stays pretty busy, my only complaint is it is a prime area for people to hang out while strung out which is why we don't use the restrooms. Last time I was here, this guy stood in the bathroom doorway and stared at me playing basketball for a good 10 minutes before I got a weird vibe and left. Usually no one bothers us but it's enough for us to leave the park multiple times so thats annoying.

This was our first time at this park. It was awesome! It has a large walking trail. A great playground for the kids with all kinds of activities to burn their energy up! It has a basketball court and tennis court. It is also equipped with an exercise area with a good variety of things for you fitness fanatics A lot of families were out taking up their own small areas of the park. There is plenty of room for social distancing We will definitely be coming back to take advantage of all the amazing things that this park offers. Btw, the bathrooms were clean and had toilet paper and paper towels

It's actually a nice "little" park. Could definitely use more places to sit and a covering over the playland, but for the most part my family usually has a great time when we visit here. We usually bring a picnic lunch and my kids love walking the little trails. The bathrooms are very nice. There's never any trash just laying around. And it does have a small ballfield in the back. And if you have teens they will probably enjoy the basketball court or work out area. San Antonio did a good job with this little park!

I love this park. It’s clean! Me and my tot are visiting every park in Southeast side of San Antonio. And so far this one is the perfect size for him and large enough for me to enjoy as well(the track). But it does need an awning. There was disturbing graffiti that could be seen from the swings on the electric boxes. I really hope it’s not there the next time we come here. I really enjoyed it though. It’s just those two negatives that held me back from giving a 5 star rating.

  • Misty Gladden

This is actually a very nice park! Nice playground with the squishy mat stuff and exercise area, basketball courts for the bigger kids to play, a walking trail, a little garden (my kids love to walk around), baseball area, and just open space with nice trees for the kids to enjoy. Also has some very very nice park bathrooms at this location and a few picnic tables. The only downfall is it needs lots more tables and benches and the parking really sucks! It fills up super fast

Pickwell Park is a good place to exercise be it walking, riding your bike, running or jogging the trail. It has public restrooms. You can play sports on the courts or in the field and the kiddos can play as well. It’s a nice place to just chill, write, and reflect, etc. It’s always peaceful when I’m here. The park is closed from 11PM - 5AM. Alcohol is not allowed. Glass containers are not allowed. And make sure you clean up after your pets and keep them on their leashes!

Bathrooms are bad. I feel bad becasue when I go there's always homeless sleeping under the Pavillion, and I don't want to disturb them. They could use an upgrade in the garden area and maybe a smaller court next to the big basket ball courts for the kids. My kids get jealous watching the adults and older kids play. I like the trail but the 2nd half of the trail near the apartment has lots of trash everywhere.

  • Holly Morris

This is a really nice park, it's got the rubbery stuff under the play equipment so the kids will have a softer landing if they fall. The kids really enjoy this park. There are picnic tables, one that's covered, some paved paths for walking, exercise equipment and a basketball court. Also, the bathrooms are as clean as you can expect from a city park that's not constantly maintained.

Lakewood Park you can alright little place the good place to go with your family to have fun hits clean Tesla shade BBQ pics electricity Pavilions it has handicap parking handicap restroom for the kids running track a little bit of woods behind it I got basketball courts tennis courts volleyball quotes you have a good time there was a fellow family and you want us to pick

  • Linda Teeter

Lots for the children to do. The bad over crowded. I felt I couldn't see my child the whole time there. Adults were going down the slides. Goofing off like children. Bring towels possibly sunscreen. I show more than a few moms with ziploc bags of fruit or crackers. Great idea there is a icecream truck? You kinda how to travel with your child to keep a eye on them.

  • Amber Massey

I love this park. Its has a park, basketball court, tennis/vollyball court. A large area to play football or have other events, also has a small baseball diamond. I probably use the jogging path the most. I would give 5 stars if police patrolled the area. I've seen alot of men go there watching and trying to pick up the young girls there. . Stranger danger!!

  • Michelle Le Desma

It is a lovely park in fact, I met that someone special while on the exercise equipment They get pretty busy during the week with basketball lots of people there. It's very clean. The restrooms are always clean. It has a perfect little playground for the kids to play. Just walk around it, you'll see it really is a very lovely park .

  • mypricelesscreations

We have lived in this area for over 40 years and have really loved this park. Most of all the GREAT improvements to it. A few More covered picnic tables WITH grills would be a huge plus for this VERY popular neighborhood park. THANK YOU PARKS AND RECREATION ??? FOR OUR GREAT CONCRETE FRIENDLY PATHWAY!

  • Nate Benitez

This would park has some great potential to be a family park. The bad thing is you have people smoking blunts by the basketball courts like they are at their momma's house. The restroom was was clogged and smelled like piss. You can tell the this park is on the southeast side of San Antonio.

  • J “Jr” R

Really nice! Family friendly park. My family and I where their a couple days ago. They had a family honor a passed loved one, with a ballon release. Although I respect there wishes and meanings behind it. I wish people would educate themselves on the world plastic crisis they contribute too.

  • Ruby Disc

This park is the best. Even the restrooms smell nice, along with that amazing water fountain. The swings are a must to try. So is the epic green slide. Money bars a little short wish they’d were taller or I was shorter for a friend like me. If anyone wants to hang out here lmk lmk

  • vanessa vargas

I really liked this park it had of course the playground which was pretty decent, large covered area, numerous benches, public restrooms, basketball court and workout area. We will definitely be back we practically had the place to ourselves!

  • Alex

Small Park ducked off in the city played basketball with the neighborhood kids got balled up but it was a fun game and they where very respectful young gentlemen. Next time I got y'all on the two on two.. Keep that elbow in.

  • Digital Dreams Domain

This park is always being used. It's not a very big park but it has everything a neighborhood park needs. Thanks to our parks service here in San Antonio all our parks here in town are clean and well maintained.

  • Marylou Gallegos

Good for walking and jogging would be 5 if there wasn't always 1 vagrant sleeping on the kids play area it makes me feel unsafe when I notice it's only me and him around noon so I tend to just leave to be safe.

  • Roland Martinez

Good southeast city park with a walking trail, tennis courts, basketball court, baseball field, kids playground, 1 pavilion, rest rooms, exercise equipment. Parking along the street. Good neighborhood park.

  • AMY “penial snail” DACY

It's a good place to take the kids but watch out for the weirdos it never fails someone is always their talking to themselves.
Playground
Lots of different stuff to do
Restrooms
Pretty clean

  • Susan Walters

Nothing spectacular but not too crowded, and their playground was turf, so it was kinda nice. Covered pavilions, plus a baseball and basketball court. Not enough parking in the front is my only complaint.

  • Kyle Sanchez

Excellent place to go out and exercise if you're looking to do that. What more recommend doing it though in the middle of the summer as this place does not have a lot of shade to cool down and relax.

  • Alejandro Alvarado

Great place for the kids and not so bad if your out for a run or something like that. It's not to far from my house so it's convenient for me but if it was across town it'd be worth the trip

  • Mercedes Gaona

Basketball court, playground, small trail way and a fitness area. So much going on but it flows. Even when the park is full theirs room on a beautiful summer day! Not to mention very safe!

  • gregorio garza

  • Moneya Traseam

I have been here once, but it is very impressive me because they have a beautiful play ground for kids and there are too many trees that you can stay under to get away from the sunny.

Very nice park to take my child & play on their jungle gym w/padded flooring. We just used the shade on the floor from the playground to rest, snack & hydrate.

  • Shane Brysch

The city of San Antonio Parks & Recreation Department has done a great job with the equipment, track, etc that's been installed and has kept it maintained.

  • Cynthia Lopez

There is a basketball court and exercise equipment at this park which is pretty cool but during the summer it gets too hot because there's not any shade.
