I love this place it is a short drive from Gordon's Bay along the most scenic clarence drive to a completely off grid restaurant that you would not know unless you ask. It has a great ambience and if you are a petrol head or enjoy the good old days, they have themed the restaurant around a garage. It has outdoor and indoor dining, and has a few little tourist shops but good value for money, especially if you looking for small momento. On weekend they have live music which just adds to the whole ambience, the day we were there he played good old 60 - 80's music it was loud enough to hear but not so loud you could not talk to each other. Food is fantastic, and the service is great, friendly waiters and helpful and knowledgeable about their food on the menu. It is a tad pricey but I think we'll worth the little extra. Have been a few more times and the appeal is the same.

I am not a burger-kind-of- person, but you cannot go to Pitstop, and not try their burgers - it is simply the best I have ever eaten, and might just change my mind about burgers in general. It is huge and loaded with good stuff! Since our very first visit, while Pitstop was still in its infant shoes and had typical start-up teething problems, they have just gone from strength to strength and has become a favourite place to visit on Clarens Drive. Their menu offers something for everyone, vegan and meat-lovers alike, and their wine selection is wide enough to suit any pallette. Already popular and just about full every time we visited, we considered ourselves lucky to get a table on our last visit which was really very pleasant amplified by our super attentive waiter, Gerhard.

Wow, absolutely stunning. Pitstop is perfect for basically everyone and everything! I went on a coffee date and we opted for the comfortable bean bags outside which overlooks the breathtaking mountains and a world that comes alive with birds flying over the peaks. Inside there are many different areas with little tweaks to the atmosphere. It is definitely child friendly. In fact, it might be a child’s paradise. However, it allows more that enough space for them to enjoy themselves without disturbing other guests. It is perfectly located for those travelling or wishing to take a ride along the coast. My partner and I decided to have lunch at the Grille shack at Pitstop lodge and we don't regret it. From the friendly welcome, to the delicious food and very relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed our time. The only thing we were unhappy about was the dessert. We ordered the apple pie with ice-cream and could not eat it because it was not appetizing at all. We mentioned it to our waitress and without any hassle she apologized and accomodated us. Very impressed. Thank you for creating such a unique space to have a great meal with family. We will definitely be back

A beautiful drive to this epic location. Mountains on one side and the other is the ocean…epic drive even though it was stormy the place was very welcoming and warm inside from the crackling fire place. The food was tasty and plentiful. The staff where also welcoming and professional. Will definitely come again.

My second time having lunch at the Grille Shack and it was just as great as the first time. I have been to many restaurants around South Africa and I must admit and commend this restaurant with the best ribs! Soft, fall off the bone, tasty.....omw and their other food is just as good and extremely worth it!

Most amazing best kept secret place for a Pitstop... The food is phenomenal from breakfast to lunch... The menu is decadent and interesting. The food and service was fantastic... Even if the place was busy.... Prices are very reasonably priced for good quality servings. Such a lovely pit stop on a stunning scenic drive.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Pitstop over the weekend and was thoroughly impressed! The food was hearty and delicious, the staff friendly and professional and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The live music only further added to this vibrant gem. What an asset to the community! I will definitely be returning.

It has funky decor and a fun atmosphere for the whole family (dog friendly). The menu was interesting but I am not sure if they were still ironing out kinks but the food wasn't that impressive or tasty. Their drinks and desserts are quite tasty though just be wary of their Bloody Mary

We had a family get together on Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent, the food delicious, from a Ceaser salad to Steak to Burgers with much more on offer. They allowed us to bring our own wine and bubbly with a reasonable corckage. Loved it, will be back many more times.

If you're heading towards Kleinmond grab one, if not the, best burgers in the area. Retro decor makes for an intriguing and fun venue. Great roadhouse food with some interesting twisting s. Professional and friendly service makes for a great culinary experience.
