An employee at this planet fitness was very rude and condescending. She made a point to even say my last name multiple times for the entire gym to here. Her name is Raquel I am homeless and I live mostly in My car. I pay my membership monthly. The black card s. So I can be clean. Shower. Keeping clean is the hardest obstacle being homeless. Austin has some places for showers. But they are shared by many. And not usually very clean. And you get 5 min sometimes 10. Barton springs pool and planet fitness are where I can shower. Take my time. Scrub it all away. And feel good and clean normal . Enjoy a hydro chair and for 24 a month I can have a shower pretty accessible all over Texas. It's worth every penny. I can face the world if im clean. I don't smell. I'm not dirty. I can go to work. Blend in. I would pick a shower over food most days. I I've been to almost all of the planet fitness in Austin. I've never had anyone be anything but respected and kind. She was very rude and mean. What's funny is she looks worse than u do. She'd in them clouds. I got a Gatorade which is 1.50 I laid a 1.50 In quarters right at her. She saw but she loudly asked ìf I was going to pay for it. Raquel is her name Mean judging one. Anthony the other employee was very kind. He apologized and he was sweet. I appreciate that.

I joined this location at the end of 22. It seemed ok, but I didn’t start going for real until August. And I have to say I’ve been there at open on the weekends, early weekday, between 8-10pm weeknight and all shifts of staff are diligently working to keep this gym clean. Like not a spot in the floor. Constantly taking their carts around to empty trash, refill the bottles, wiping down the areas where the paper towels are, seriously dusting the treadmills off. Like really. I am hopeful to think that with this location being blessed with such a high percentage of good employees, they must be treating them fairly in the wage dept. These people CARE about your business. This place is an amazing gym to go to because of them. The restrooms, showers changing rooms (I use them before going to work) are all spotless. I’m grateful for their efforts and you better be too!!! At some point this caliber of employee will realize their worth and leave you in their rearview and compliments like this will go away.

Jason is the best night attendant a company could ask for. Jason keeps the gym clean and stays right up front where everyone can find him. Jason's attitude is warm and friendly and positively energetic. If you are working ot late or very early mornings this is the place fir you. Lockers and changing rooms are kept clean and in good condition. Only one day was the water on the cold side but that was also right at the end of a very busy time. Otherwise no problem. Location is secure and safe and parking is ample. I recommend the Black Card membership fir only $25 +/- per month. Stand up and lay down tanning beds. Chair and bed aqua massage. Massage chairs available and always working. Ismael is friendly and quick to respond ti customers. Really sets a great example to be followed. Geordan is always cleaning and alert ti customers needs.

You can’t really beat the value of the membership at planet fitness. It’s so cheap in the fact that it’s open all hours and you think I could always find a spot where I could work out on the machines I want it alone. I ended up keeping my membership for only five months because there was a couple people who showed the exact same time as me and seem to be on the same routine as me matter how many times I change my workout schedule around. It almost like became a competition for those key machines no matter the day or the time, and so I decided I’d rather just do it at home that said for someone who’s on a pretty strict budget at the time it was super helpful to be able to access the gym with so many pieces of equipment at all random hours of the day or night

I am reluctantly leaving 5 stars because 10 stars is not an option... I have crazy work hours, so I like to go to workout after midnight at the Westgate/William Cannon location. The overall vibe is great and I have had nothing but great experiences there. I'd like to give a special mention to one of the overnight staff, Jason, who has always been very welcoming, kind AND generous. He has the best energy and is always knowledgeable, upbeat, motivating and encouraging. He takes the time to know the clients and their needs. As a woman visiting the qym late at night, I also appreciate how he makes sure I am confident and safe both arriving and leaving. I highly recommend this facility to everyone!

First time in and was immediately impressed with Jason’s level of hospitality. While greeting us he was very friendly and informative which set the vibe for our entire visit. I admittedly went to Jason multiple times with questions, all of which he answered providing as much or as little detail needed. He even knew very detailed information about the other locations within the metro area. Sure, we loved the gym and the amenities were amazing but above all, what really struck me was how impactful my interactions with Jason were to the overall quality of the atmosphere. My review is for Jason at the West Gate location. Great job!

Showers have terrible black mold. Smells awful in there. Never coming back to this location. Extremely unhealthy July 2023 Here's my response to the fake concern message from planet fitness since there's no option to respond and call them out on google reviews: If you want more details about what I'm talking about just go walk in your showers. You know the black mold is all over the walls and the ceilings. The smell of mold and mildew is so strong I can't believe nothing has been done or even brought up in meetings. Pathetic, especially with this fake little response acting like they're concerned. That's hilarious.

Love this place as I am always greeted with a smile from the very friendly staff at the front desk. The machines are in excellent condition and there is plenty of them for a great workout which my son and I look forward to. The place is spic and span and there is plenty of disinfectant stations to clean up the machines after you use them. Overall this place has a cool atmosphere and I most definitely look forward to each workout. Love this place and recommend it to my friends and family

The showers do get hot but they take forever to do so, and then you only have a few minutes until it’s tepid. I don’t know why some locations struggle so much to have hot water for the shower amenity that we pay for. Otherwise, a clean and fine location. Wasn’t very busy in the afternoon. Anyone else notice their bots commenting back to everyone to tell the front desk our concerns? FRONT DESK DOESN’T DO ANYTHING.

11/14/23 Night shift, for me around 11-12 That representative I feel deserves a raise for sure. As a person I felt impacted by his demeanor as a guest to this gym. All “gym anxiety” and that in general was gone. That seems really special these days. So wanted to appreciate and make sure this person is recognized for their kindness and excellence especially so late at night.

What sets planet fitness apart? From all other gyms in Austin, customer service provided by their front desk, employees GEORDON and AARON. It is phenomenal. They both provide 5+ customer service ,ready to assist me and with anything I might need. They have changed my work out from some thing I have to do,to something I want to do.

This gym is good and clean BUT!!!! This cleaning lady is super annoying. Every time I’m in here she is vacuuming the very machine I’m on. Planet fitness is open 24 hrs a day. I wish they would have their cleaning crew come in at night or teach them some sort of gym cleaning etiquette. Back off! When we are working out

Love this gym only one I go to in south Austin locker rooms always clean and so is equipment. Staff is friendly every time I come in I’m always seeing lauryn the front desk lady cleaning the equipment throughly and be attentive to customers makes me feel good knowing the equipment is getting clean on the regular.

AWFUL customer service. Went in person to cancel my account, was told it was done and not to worry about it. Still getting charged and can't get through to anyone helpful on the phone. I now live out of town (2 hours away from this location) and wasting money every month for no reason. Extremely frustrated.

Love this location! I run from my home, work out, and then run back. the staff always greets me as I come in and says goodbye. It is always clean, which makes me feel comfortable. And with the machine is broken it is fixed promptly! This all makes it easy to stay motivated to work out consistently.

I am so happy there's a choice. The place is clean and all the equipment work. The Internet is fast. The only negative is there's not much in the way of free weights. Otherwise I totally recommend this place.

The showers had no hot water. I had somewhere fancy to be after and was relaying on a hot shower after my workout. Unfortunately I had to take the world's coldest shower and it totally ruined my night.

The associates are always helpful and personable. They are quick to respond to issues. All areas of the gym are clean. Equipment issues are handled quickly. I am completely satisfied.

Have been to many PFs and this is my favorite by far! The crew does great and they are constantly cleaning and maintaining equipment.
