I really wanted to like these meal kits but I am beyond disappointed. I saw this as an opportunity to eat healthily whilst saving money. Firstly can you stop calling the Caribbean curry Caribbean as a a black woman who can cook, I have never tasted anything so disgusting in my life . There was an acrid after taste of vinegar, in fact it tasted like mango chutney with a hint of curry. This concoction was inedible and had to be thrown away. The Spring stew (code for vegetable broth with lemon juice) was inedible, all I could taste was lemon. I threw this down the toilet and ended up eating the roasted vegetables on their own. I also ordered the blueberry lemon pots. The blueberry jelly did not taste like blueberry and the crunchy topping was soggy with water accumulating at the top. The taste and texture made them inedible. The plus side is that I can repurpose the pots and use them to make my own bircher. As for the aubergine parm sandwich, well I am not even going to attempt to create this dish. I will use the aubergine for something else and bin the sauces. Also the amount of plastic that is being used is ridiculous. I am now out of pocket and hungry thank you

This is ridiculously too expensive. I had two tofu dishes one was good but very simple and the other was ok but more a snack than a full meal. Then I had an Aubergine dish and it was just awful . First it took ages to cook the way they advised you to do it and it was so oily . I ended up putting it in the oven. But the taste was just awful. You can’t have good sense of taste if you think this is a good recipe . So too expensive , tasted really bad , and took long to cook . Just not good at all. This should be half the price with good recipes . Update : had the last recipe and it ended up in the bin . Out of 4 recipes , 1st: 7/10 - 2nd 5/10 but a snack not a meal really - 3rd : just awful taste 1/10 - 4th was not much better maybe 2/10 and ended up in the bin. Their adds is a meal you want to eat , no you don’t . Even at half price this is not good .

I’m very impressed with Planthood. I am a meat eater, but am trying to live more sustainably and I love food whether it contains animal product or not. I work long hours and found I was endlessly living on bread or something easy to stick in the oven, offering minimal nutritional value! I decided to take advantage of an offer to try Planthood….well, I’m so glad I did. 3 meals in and I’m absolutely blown away by the quality and taste. The additional protein bars and porridge pots are equally delicious. Super impressed. Granted, it is not cheap, but this is great food, takes me less than 15 mins to pull together, generous portions and provides me with better nutrition than what was becoming a standard ‘beige’ diet. Well done Planthood! I’ll definitely be ordering again.

We've been trying Planthood for almost 2 months now (I waited long enough to really try them out before writing a review!) and we're super satisfied. We've tried plenty of boxes and the vegan recipes get quickly boring + you have to cook for so long, it's not the most convenient. Planthood's recipes are 90% of the time reaaally tast, original and super easy to cook. I love the fact that the packaging is biodegradable and you can return the boxes/icepacks so they can reuse it. It's the best solution we found so far to incorporate more vegan recipes in our diet, that are healthy and delicious, easy and quick to prepare and to opt for a box service that doesn't feel like you're not ruining the planet with a lot of plastic packaging.

I have been blown away by Planthood! I’ve tried lots of delivery and subscription services and they’re all much of a muchness – quite convenient, but also quite boring (especially so for a vegan). But not Planthood! Subscribing is like eating in a (very good) restaurant three times a week. The menus are fab, inventive and surprising, and they have introduced me to lots of new things and flavours. I have been particularly impressed by the depth of flavour, from the umami smack of a ramen to the meaty richness of a mushroom kebab. The meals are also very easy to prepare and the attention to detail is spot on, in particular the detailed and easy-to-follow instructions and fact that ALL of the packaging is compostable. Just great!

Messaged planthood over 6 months ago to ask about where they sourced their vegetables. Just wanted some information beyond marketing. Yet to respond, so no way to know if their product is good value. My use case for these meal kits is alternatives to takeaways and when feeling a bit uninspired. It was nice to try new meals, and they were ok. I didn't find them much quicker to make than other kits I've used. I find Riverfords meal kits to be better. You can easily return packaging (they pick them up when they deliver), they are organic, there is traceability, price is comparable and you can also add other shopping items to your box. Oh and you get recipe cards, so if you liked a meal you can reproduce it yourself!

Cannot recommend Planthood enough. We love to cook in our household but struggle with time during the work week. The meal kits not only save us time during the week as most of the work is done for you, but it saves us time on the weekend as we no longer have to spend our time planning out meals and ingredients for the week ahead. We've been so impressed with the quality of the food, and the depth of flavour in most of the dishes. Really exceded our expectations. I do feel on the odd occasion that the portion sizes are a tiny bit small, but overall they are pretty bang on. Customer service were super helpful when I needed to change an order coming up and sorted it in no time. Very happy to have found Planthood.

Planthood is such a breath of fresh air for vegan food, and went completely above and beyond my expectations. Every meal was next level delicious, easy to make, super filling and healthy. The recipes are always really inventive and turn out restaurant level food without any hassle. There’s tons of variety each week, including Asian and Middle Eastern style recipes so you don’t get bored. And for anyone worried their other half will whinge and miss their meat, my partner is a massive skeptic when it comes to vegan food and he was a complete convert. Couldn’t believe how tasty the meals were given how good for you they are! Can’t recommend it enough, 100% worth getting a box

I’ve been vegetarian for over 25 years, and plant-based for around 10. We are two busy parents and we love to prepare dinner quickly but it has to be wholesome with bags of flavor. Let me tell you, Planthood has been a an utter revelation! Yes sometimes the coriander may be a bit limp (isn’t life itself!) but it’s chopped up and thrown into a beautiful sauce. We are veg box users and also a very well known ready-meal users, but Planthood gives us the best of both worlds, and honestly it’s better than thin this - it’s restaurant quality every time in 15 mins. Tonight was a beautiful creamy matar tofu curry with Nan, it was delightful as always. We love you Planthood!

Planthood deserves 5 stars and above. The dishes are superb and, most importantly, taste like a real home-cooked meal! You absolutely can't find this elsewhere; I tried. From Black Daal to Crushed Chickpea Onigirazu, every dish was full of flavour and took less than 5 minutes to make. Their website is user-friendly, and delivery is in sustainable packaging. Portion size wise I was very happy, but if someone really needs more calories per day then maybe they can always add some extra carbs on the side like rice. Thank you, Planthood, for making this available to us!

Fantastic ! I am so pleased to have found Planthood. I have pretty much tried all the box companies and for me this is the best . I get so excited each week at the different recipes, so easy to do and yet so different , healthy, fresh and delicious . Really surprised to have come across some dishes I have never tried before. I’m a veggie and totally forget that it isn’t vegan , don’t even notice it one bit as everything is so delicious - which is a first for me . Go on give it a try ! you won’t regret it ! Yum! Yum ! Yum! exciting !

Planthood is the best! The meals are so inventive and delicious — and also just look beautiful! The meals have been so easy to make, and each time it feels like I'm eating something straight from a restaurant. I've tried meal subscription boxes before, but have ended up cancelling after a while due to boring meals and too much difficulty (and actually too much plastic packaging) — Planthood is so much better, easier and tastier. Also love how eco-friendly all the packaging is! Would def recommend. Love it.

The dishes are plain and bland in taste. The amount of veggies you receive is minimal and often no longer fresh. Nearly every recipe comes with a premade sauce , claims it's packed with goodness but you have no way of proving what's in it. Fine for ppl with zero time to cook but I personally like to see exactly what everything Is made of and make it /cook it myself. 2 out of 3 of my meals were missing an ingredient and instructions are confusing to follow.

  • Mike T

Just eaten the first if our three meals for two people this week and all I can say is wow! The butter bean main, salsa Verde and chiabata were awesome. There was loads of the sauce and, as we are big eaters, we added simple pasta fusili and some raw spinach to make a hugely filling meal for two. Simplicity itself. Outstanding! Can't wait for the other two meals later this week. I mean, wow! Won't be our last order I can safely say that.

This company is a scam. Orders not received and monies taken . I have now referred this to Consumers Advice . Rose has been very unhelpful supplying photos of the the first delivery claiming it was later delivery’s, not supplying courier details so I could research Myself, I complained about the quality of some items received . And ordered no further products, I became aware of Planthood on Social Media as a trail offer advert.

This meal delivery boxes live and die on the quality of the meals. Planthood just haven’t got it quite right. Meal number one: pouring some ready made sauce on tofu. Tasty but expensive for what it was. Meal number two: So complex you needed Heston in the kitchen. Portion size is on the small size which means the value is poor. We decided to try these from our usual Grubby boxes. It’s been a disappointing experience.

  • Scott Mould

I've used various providers in past with varied experiences but sadly this is worst. First pack with bendy carrots and recipes recommending items that's weren't included - a first for any provider I've used. I'm also not a fan of the qr code taking you to online recipe. A card would be better allowing you to recreate the dish if you liked it. Subscription cancelled as sadly I didn't find this good value.

  • Alana Leddin

Can’t recommend Planthood enough! The recipes were so delicious and easy/quick to prepare. I’ve found meal delivery companies in the past can be a bit stodgy/boring but each meal I was blown away - felt super healthy and original. You can tell the research and testing gone into each recipes. Also the price point is really good I found we even had leftovers some days!

  • Dorota Slemp

Meals are interesting but these aren't meals. This is a small snack. Not dinner. Very disappointed. Package wet through and soggy. Someone else mentioned the blueberry pot.. I had the same issue of water and no real taste at all. Vegetables look poor quality. Presentation is lacking. But for the money it's to expensive as I have to buy extras to make it an actual meal.

  • Isabel Beard

Having easy-to-make, delicious and vegan meals three times a week has been a game changer. Each recipe is something I never would have tried before and is incredibly tasty. Some highlights are the mushroom shawarma flatbreads, cauliflower dal and cauliflower steak with chimichuri. Every meal is healthy and VERY filling. Highly recommend!

  • Ciara Whitcroft

Just received my first delivery and I am so impressed! Absolutely gorgeous meals and such a nice variety. All only took me around 15 minutes to make. Ingredients are very fresh and the sauces are so tasty. I am not vegan or vegetarian just wanting to try some new recipes. Thank you! Hoping the tacos will be back on the menu again!

  • Roselle Lam

Honestly never thought I'd be making vegan food at home, and so delicious and easy to make as well! Planthood keeps our week day dinners adventurous and inspiring, trying new ingredients and combinations that we otherwise would never have. I didn't think plant based food could be so filling yet feel-good/light! 100% worth a try!

  • Pree

So far excellent quality meals, bursting with flavour. Quick and easy to make, and very little mess to clean up after! Would be great if there was info on where the produce is sourced from. I also found the portion sizes quite small, so it works out a little too pricey for me. However, that said, I still would recommend.

  • Tanaya Jasubhai

We've been getting Planthood delivered every week for the last month and were on a 2 week cycle before that. We've enjoyed the recipes and varied cuisines that you get to try. However, their customer service, price point, management of missed deliveries is absolutely disappointing. Frustrating customer experience!

  • Asa Baum

I've been using Planthood for a few weeks now... incredibly tasty food, sustainably sourced ingredients, planet-friendly packaging & on the table in 10-15 mins. Whether you are full-time vegan or just testing the water with a few meals a week, this is ideal. Fast, fresh & freakin' yummy, what more do you want!

  • Chris Thomas

Fantastic and delicious food ready in minutes! As a non-vegan I've very much enjoyed having healthy plant-based options during my busy schedule in the week. Cooking isn't my forte, so it also looks incredibly impressive when i've served this up to my girlfriend in the evenings after work.

  • Ben Jarvis

Absolutely blown away by the quality and convenience of Planthood. Creative recipes that tick so many boxes; healthy, tasty, environmentally friendly and a complete time saver. The pulled mushroom flatbread in particular were an absolute treat. Keep up the great work!

  • Laurence Kilpatrick

I used to cook my own food. Recently I started growing plants in my microwave because I simply won't ever need it again. Really enjoying the food from Planthood. Always something new on the menu and full of cuisines I would never even think to cook myself.

  • Katie Herlinger

As a vegetarian who has no time to cook but wants to eat nourishing and delicious meals this suits me down to an absolute T!! The meals take 10 minutes to prepare, all packaging is recyclable or compostable and they are DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend!!

  • Sarah Brierley

LOVE Planthood! I’m not vegan and wasn’t sure if the flavour would pack enough of a punch, but it really does, it’s incredibly tasty and so easy to put together. Great knowing I’m feeding myself really healthily for at least a few meals a week :)

  • David Firth

Food is good when you get it. DPD lets them down in delivery. Went without meal this evening despite being told delivery was coming, then got notified that it’s being delivered tomorrow. So tonight’s meal written off. Not good service.

  • Roisin Murphy

Highly recommend planthood, restaurant quality food ready within minutes! Healthy interesting plant based recipes which leave you feeling full and satisfied, takes the hassle out of mid week meal planning after a busy work day.

  • Mary Field

The packaging was wet through, the gel bags had melted. Concerned the food hadn't been kept cold enough. On opening the bag one mouldy unusable carrot, shrivelled lime and grotty looking spring onions. Really not good enough!!

  • Tom Kennedy

Planthood has revolutionised my mid week dinners. Amazing Veggie meals. It has a great selection each week, the food is tasty, nutritious and great value. Instructions are easy to follow and the meals are quick to prepare.

  • Bhav

I was amazed at how delicious these meals are, considering how quickly we could put them together and it's ready within 10-15 minutes. So delicious just like restaurant food and healthy. I can recycle all the packaging.

  • Marcus Bertuzzi

I’ve been vegan for 10 years and was keen to try this. IMO the food is pre-packed junk. Other meal box companies teach you a bit about cooking but this is just heat up rubbish. Ignore the hype!

  • Kat UK

Our family discovered Planthood about six months ago and now we can’t live without! Super tasty, convenient, healthy and good value meals. Thank you Planthood for your fantastic service!

  • Leila Mozun

The food was excellent! Full of flavour and perfectly portioned and packaged. I’d highly recommend a subscription. Couldn’t be easier to assemble meals in literally 10 min.

  • Karen Krawczyk

Like a previous customer, food was tasty. Probably a bit on the expensive side BUT customer service is very frustrating. I am very confused and rating low because of this.

  • Urshka Pec

Amazing fresh meals that take little to no time to make. My favourite was the tempeh tikka... Best meal delivery box I've tried so far ️ …

  • Jack Osborne

Terrible. Customer service and technology need an overhaul. Subscription model is very unclear and the comms the worst I've come across. Avoid.

  • Annie Yarham

Just enjoyed our very first meal of Dan Dan noodles, delicious, my first experience of real vegan food very impressed. SSWatched Dragons and
